Does /MOV Switch in Robocopy deletes files if already exists?

I have a Robocopy job running Which Moves (I have used /Mov Switch) only files from Source to Destination. This task is scheduled and runs every 15 minutes.
Now, the problem I'm facing is, When once the files are moved i.e., cut and paste, the Source folders gets updated with same files and when the job runs after 15 mins, it will locate the same files in Destination and won't delete in the Source.
Anybody have solution for this problem? I cannot use PowerShell on the machine. That's the constraint.

By default Robocopy will only copy a file if the source and destination have different time stamps or different file sizes. Files will be skipped if they are not modified. You could try to use /is switch to include the same files. Then you can deleted files
that are already exist in destination.

NO!
Time Machine is not an Archival Backup. It will keep files for a while, but if it needs the space, it will delete files that no longer exist on the hard drive.
Get a couple external drives and move the files to both of them.

File name already exists?

The past few days, I've had trouble exporting certain sequences from FCPHD using Compressor 2. Basically, when I go to export via compressor, the error "File Name Already Exists" pops up. However, the sequence still appears in the compressor window. I then try and compress the sequence, but my Batch Monitor then fails with the following error: Media Server Application Unexpectedly Quit. Does anybody know why this would happen all of the sudden? Is it a sequence setting or a setting in comrpessor. Please help. Thanks!

the first error you are receiving from compressor of "File Name Already Exists" simply means that you are trying to compress the file, with an exact name, to the exact destination thats it. try renaming your export from either QT or FCP, then when you compress in compressor, as long as you name your file, something else, like a *_V2.mov, instead of *.mov, then you wont have that problem. the reason it still appears in the compressor window is because compressor is trying to write over the file, or replace it if you will.
as far as batch monitor quiting on you, it might be related to actually trying to write over the file. this might be a bug, since it should write over the file. so just delete the original or faulty file (the *.m2v) and or rename your new file, and you shouldnt have any more problems!

Help! My catalog does not reflect moved or deleted files! PE6

I have made a series of changes to the file structure in my folder tree. Now PE6 shows dozens of "ghost files" which are in fact deleted. It also shows several files in the wrong location (they have been moved), but when I tree moving these files (no matter where), I get the error message "File is already at this location". I made a new catalog which does show everything correctly, but I put album tags on 100s of pix, and those have all been lost. You can export/import album tags, but only the categories, not the specific photos.
I've tried "Repair" and "Optimize". How can I get my old catalog to reflect the actual files and locations on my hard drive?

The answer is simple.
It can't be done. PSE does not know about, or reflect, changes made outside of PSE.
A better way of using PSE is to assign tags, captions and notes, to achieve organization, rather than moving/renaming photos and folders to achieve organization.

Nas drive does not recalculating space after deleting files on Nas Drive??

Actually we have configure Window server 20082 Storage server.We have NAS drive configured which have 300GB quota limit. The actual data in the folder is 185 GB but it shows only 15 GB free and shows a warning .Please assist me why NAS server does not re-calculate
the space after deleting files or does not leave space. Pardon me if I am not able to clear you my problems.this is very urgent for me.

As you mentioned "quota limit", it is set via FSRM or specific function on NAS?
Meanwhile could you confirm the number 185GB is accurate? Sometimes a part of used space is just not calculated. You can confirm with checking the total space on NAS locally.
If the number is correct and quota is set via FSRM, check if it is the Disk Quota which not re-calculated the released space. Try to clear the Quota setting and reconfig with 300GB limitation and see if issue still exists.

Roaming User sync does not work and/or deleted files on desktop restored.

We have a customer with MBP's and a Server 10.6. At the MBP is a local Admin Account configured and all the employees have roaming profiles.
Sometimes we have the problem that deleted files and folders at a Desktop will be restored after relogin AND it seems that some Adobe Products prevent syncing sometimes if files at Desktop opened.
Is there any solution for that?

I have BB 9700 and Yahoo! BIS account. Worked like a charm until about a week ago.
It was even synchronizing my calendar and mail between BB and Outlook 2010 - never really understood how it managed to do that, but I was very pleased.
As of lately our telecom administrator spent hours on the phone with AT&T, Yahoo and RIM trying to resolve this problem. I was told by RIM tech. support that I've got too many messages in the inbox (measly 5000 e-mails) and that BB stops synchronizing after about 800 messages in the inbox, because it is timing out with so many messages to go through. Sounded like a total BS to me, but I still went ahead and cleaned up my Yahoo inbox and no luck, as I suspected. I was also told by tech. support that it is due to my using Outlook 2010 Beta2, which is not supported, hence the issue - another ferry tale, IMHO.
Hopefully, RIM will be able to get us back on track - manually deleting 60 emails every day is extremely annoying.

Lightroom not putting folders in subdirectories as directed on import; then not letting me move folders to clean up because "folders already exist" (but they don't!) Please help!

I have used Lightroom for years and have never had issues importing until a few weeks ago. I have a very organized system of files for my portraits - "Portraits" > "Babies & Families" > "2014" > "(Surname)". While importing I create a subfolder using the family surname under "Destination" in LR. It shows an italicized folder in the correct place prior to clicking "Import," but when I go to "Library" mode to select the folder, all the newly created folders are now on the root directory. I try to then drag and drop them to their proper place, but I'm told that a folder by this name already exists in that destination and won't allow the move. Tried emailing a contact at Adobe, and then followed up with a phone call, but haven't heard back. Desperately need help before my entire file system becomes one big mess. Any thoughts or advice graciously welcomed.

Thanks for the tip. That partially took care of the problem. Now all the orphans are back together, but a new root folder called "Photos" has been created as the parent of a new set of "Portraits" > "Babies & Familes" > "2014". So now I have Root folder > "Portraits" > "Babies & Familes" > "2014" > "Surname" AND "Portraits" (at root) > "Babies & Familes" > "2014". I've tried to drag the Surname folders into the preexisting "2014" but it says they already exist, so then I tried dragging "2014" under the preexisting "Portraits" and was able to do that but it somehow screwed up the original "2014" folder which now has a "?" next to "2014" and all it's contents! It's getting worse! What now?

Import Command - Option to Delete objects That Already Exist?

This is 10g on Windows.
I'm importing a specific owners objects into my 10g database. most of the tables, etc already exist. Will I have to drop the objects before importing - OR - can I use a switch/option in the import command to auto. drop anything that already exists?
Have reviewed the command in a book I have and can't find anything that auto drops.

impdp won't read exp dmp files.
All you have is imp. Imp has ignore=Y, which will make imp not to skip the entire table upon import. This effectively works as 'append'. If you don't want that (duplicate keys come to mind) you need to drop tables and/or the user yourself.

When I download a file, if a file of similar name already exists in the same download folder, the firefox downloads the file and renames it by adding numeric .1 to the file name.
I want the firebox to give me a prompt that similar file already exist, rather than automatically renaming it by adding suffix .1.

Robocopy deleted files

Yesterday I ran the following to help save time from redoing all of the ACL's on the share. I was told that Robocopy will work and do exactly what I needed. I did the following using the gui interface with these settings go copy one folder over:
Started : Tue Mar 04 16:11:34 2014
Source : \\Server1\Share\Real Estate\
Dest : F:\SHARE\
Files : *.*
Options : *.* /V /S /E /COPY:DATS /PURGE /MIR /NP /R:10 /W:30
It didn't copy all of the data over as expected but moved one of the sub-folders into the root. The problem is that it removed folders and files from another root folder. I don't understand why unless I needed to put the same folder name for
the destination which I didn't see in any documentation or newsgroups I searched.
Is there anyway to retrieve that daata?

I'm a little unclear about the result as you said "into the root" and "from another root" but didn't mention which server - the source or the destination?
For /PURGE, the /mir you used is equivalent to /e and /PURGE. See: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc733145.aspx
And /purge: Deletes destination files and directories that no longer exist in the source. So I assume it is the possible cause of the issue if
the "removed folders" exist in your source server.
A possible solution is removing /s /mir and /purge to just do a copy instead of mirror.
robocopy \\server1\share\real estate f:\share /v /e /copy:dats

Why Does Photoshop Sometimes Think A Raw File is Already Open?

I'm doing some R&D where I'm opening the same Canon .CR2 raw file multiple times, experimenting with different converter settings.
Sometimes I can open multiple documents in succession from the same raw file, in which case the documents are named e.g., IMG_7470, IMG_7470-2, etc.
Sometimes it ignores my request to open the same raw file again, instead just making one of the documents I already have open current. The simplest case is where I document IMG_7470 already open, and I either use File - Open Recent and choose the .CR2 file again, or even drag the CR2 file into Photoshop.
The workaround is trivial, I just save the open document as a PSD file, then I can open the CR2 file again into a new document.
Am I missing something obvious about what causes Photoshop to think a document has changed enough that opening the same file again should actually work?

Is there a way to skip over files that already exist when backing up folder

Everytime I want to backup a folder from my hard drive to an external hard drive, the only option I have is to replace the entire folder with the updated one. Is there a way to tell it to just look through the folder and only add new stuff, thus making backups faster?
I don't like Time Machine, I prefer to do manual backups. And I backup my 'iTunes' folder about once a month, to ensure all new songs, musics, apps, etc. are backed up on the external hard drive if my internal one should ever fail.

I use Silverkeeper for backing up individual folders but I don't know if the older version is compatible with Leopard. CCC lets you sutomize what gets backed up but it's a bit cumbersome to do it at just the folder level. I haven't tried some of the others at all so I can't recommend.

Deleting files out of system preferences desktop background.

Does anyone know how to delete files out of system preferences>desktop & screen saver?
Some how when adding one photo to the file for the desktop background it took the entire photo file. So that instead of one photo for the file it has over 200 now. Read everything and tried everything. Still can't figure out how to delete that file from the list.
I know how to add photos or whatever to use as desktop background just no idea how to remove them from the list.
Any ideas?

When you go to system preferences>desktop & screen savers>desktop. On the left is a window with the names of the images listed. Apple Images, Nature file, Plants file, Picture Folder, Choose Folder and so forth. The ones that come with Apple products. Not sure what all else is native to Apple.
Iv been using my own desktop background since the day I got the iBook. Normally I just get one photo or image and more it there to use. But, last week I did something different or wrong. Maybe holding a button to long, not sure. Instead of moving the one photo it moved the entire photo file. That file had over 200 (2,500x1,800 in size & over 550KB for each) and probably closer to 250 photos in it.
Way to many to be there. And I simply can't find a way to remove that file from the desktop list. I can high light it, but it doesn't delete with the delete button. I can high light it, but it doesn't change anything in system preferences banner to edit, view, etc....to remove it either. It won't click & drag to trash.
Being very careful because I don't want to delete the file and by error delete it totally off the computer. I could creat a new file with only 1 photo in it for use as the desktop background. Then try to choose that file. However, since the last big OS-X update it's been doing this. Everytime I choose a file or photo it's adding the entire file not just the 1 photo. And Iv managed to add 3 files so far to that list.
