Does Nvidia GT 120 support 2560x1440 Resolution

Hi from Germany,
I have an MacPro 4,1 Intel Xeon QuadCore, running two wonderful NEC Multisync P221W   22" monitors with 1680x1050 px resolution.
For I am working in the motion graphics business it is always no fun to work on video-spots with for example 1280x720 pix (HDTV) on an 22" monitor.
So I would like to upgrade one of the NEC monitors to a 27" monitor with 2560x1440 resolution and I would like to be sure, if the graphic card will support the two monitors.
Thanks in advance, Andy

NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 includes two video ports: one Mini DisplayPort and one dual-link DVI port. This allows you to connect both the 24-inch Apple LED Cinema Display or another Mini DisplayPort-based display, and a DVI-based display such as the 30-inch Apple Cinema HD Display. Display adapters are available to connect VGA displays.

Nvidia specs:
GeForce GT 120 OEM
The most common graphic card, and not w/o its own problems with displays, even when used in 2009, is the 5770.
ATI Radeon HD 5770 Mac Pro pre-2010

  • Does Tecra R940-1H support external resolution 2560x1440

    Hi
    I use a laptop TECRA R940-1HP
I want to buy professional monitor Phillip 272P4QPJKEB/00 with a resolution of 2560 x 1440.
    Please write to me.
Can my laptop support such a resolution?

The external resolution support depends on the graphic card which is built in the notebook.
As far as I know the Tecra R940-1HP supports the Intel HD Graphics 4000 chip.
From my knowledge this Intel HD 4000 chip supports max resolution of 2560x1600/32bit via Display Port.
I guess more details about Intels own graphic chip you will find on Intel page.

  • Does R9 280X 3G support 4K resolutions?

I have 2x R9 280X 3G and was wondering if it supports Ultra-HD and if there is anything special that needs to be done to support those resolutions?
This page seems to suggest it's possible but the specs say the maximum resolution is much less
    http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/msi_radeon_r9_280x_twinfrozr_gaming_oc_review,25.html
So what is the true maximum resolution that can be achieved with 2x R9 280x, and what needs to be done to access those resolutions?

Unfortunately, you'll need to buy a GTX 970 or a 980, because they are the only currently GPU's that have HDMI 2.0 support, or unless if somebody develops a DP to HDMI 2.0 adapter, which none of them exists at the moment. There isn't really a way to get 60Hz for AMD cards at the moment.
Or wait until AMD releases their new generation of GPU's next year which probably will include HDMI 2.0 I suppose.

  • Does stand alone engine support higher resolution graphics

When using LabView 6.0 and building a stand alone application, the graphics doesn't compaire to the graphics on the developement platform.

It's difficult to tell from here what graphics you are referring to, but if you use the Dialog Controls, then the Operating System you run your application on with automatically place its default controls on the Front Panel. For instance, if you run it on XP, you will get the native XP controls. If you run it on Mac OS X, you see native OS X controls. This may help you out on that. You could give this a try and see how it works.

  • Iphoto does not support the resolution of my dslr camera...how do i upload full resolution photos?

iphoto does not support the resolution of my dslr camera...how do i upload full resolution photos?

You actually need to give information to get help - just stating an abstract problems (which is most certainly not a problem at all) gives the volunteers hearer nothing to work with to help you
What version of iPhoto? Of the OS? What exactly is the problem (iPhoto does support the resolution of your camera so that is NOT a problem)? what exactly are you doing? What error messages do you get? why do you incorrectly think that iPhoto does not support full resolution?
At this time your question is like my car won't start - why not? Could be anything from you did not put the key jun to being out of gas to having the engine stolen - no way to tell anything - except that the problem you claim is not true (at least in my example I would know that the car did not start)

  • My apple TV does not support 1280x720 resolution

    Hi all,
I have recently bought a apple TV in Greece. However it seems that I cannot make it accept movies (ripped from DVD) with resolution 1280x720 (24 fps). Are apple TVs sold in Greece different from these sold in US ?
The funny thing is that the greek apple site does not mention at all this resolution in the apple tv specs...

Are apple TVs sold in Greece different from these sold in US ?I woundn't think so.
The funny thing is that the greek apple site does not mention at all this resolution in the apple tv specs...720p24 and 720p25 are only supported in the H.264 "Main" profile with average video data rate supposedly limited to 5.0 Mbps and with stereo/"surround" AAC audio limited to 160 Kbps at 48.0 KHz. Make sure your target file output conforms to these settings.

  • Why doesn't the MBPr support 2560x1440 over HDMI with OSX when Windows7 (bootcamp) supports it just fine?

I purchased a 2013 MBPr 15" (the first Mac I've ever owned btw) and so far have enjoyed the experience. I purchased a large 27" high resolution 2560x1440 non-Apple display which I planned on using HDMI output for, since HDMI has no problem supporting this resolution. After receiving this display yesterday I came to the sad realization that OSX does not support 2560x1440 over HDMI. However, under further investigation I found that Windows7 in Bootcamp on the same machine will beautifully display the full 2560x1440 over HDMI.
This means that OSX is the problem, and not the MBPr since Windows7 displayed the full resolution with no issue. If the hardware can support it, why would Apple disable it in the software? Is this just their way of forcing people to use DisplayPort? Or is there hope for them fixing this in future versions?

OK.  No reason to be playing games here.  Just surprised that this issue hasn't been brought up here on the community boards as well.  Here's the simple solution

After reaching a Level III technician in Belkin customer support today and having spent approximately 4-5 person hours on this issue, we figured out that the Sound/Output preferences in the Apple System Preferences should not be set to "Internal Speakers"  but rather set to "USB PnP Sound Device".
Worked like a charm.  Simple, elegant solution to a real problem, one likely to be encountered by 90% of the people who buy a Belkin Thunderbid Express Dock off the shelves of any Apple Store to use with a current generation Apple laptop or desktop computer.
But the Level III Belkin technician admmtted that this critical little piece of simple, straightforward information should have been readily available to their Level 1 techies who began helping me 5 person hours ago.  Would even have saved Balkin loads of customer service support time.
    And so the saga ends
Belkin owes me for helping them learn this precious lesson.

  • EXACTLY what cable(s) do I need to connect my MacBook Pro (early 2011) to an external display with a 2560x1440 resolution?

I am trying to connect my MacBook Pro (early 2011 w/ Intel HD 3000/ 384Mb) to an external display with a 2560x1440 resolution. Specifically, what cable/connections do I need to display at this resolution? I cannot get the display to work using a "Thunderbolt to HDMI" or a "Thunderbolt to DVI" connector.  Note:  I used both older and newer (uni-directional) HDMI cables on the first config, and a Dual-link DVI cable on the second config.   Apple specs state this is possible ( support.apple.com/kb/SP619 ), but I am at a loss as to how this can be done.  Thanks in advance for the help!

You use a Mini DisplayPort to either HDMI or dual-link DVI adapter. If that component doesn't work, something's wrong with either the cable or something else in the connection.

  • Connect new MacPro to 27" monitor with 2560x1440 resolution

    Hello community,
I'm looking for help connecting my new Mac Pro (late-2013, 3 GHz 8-core, 64 gb ram, currently running OS X 10.9.5) to a 27" Monoprice IPS-ZERO-G monitor.  The monitor only has VGA and Dual-Link DVI inputs, and is supposed to support 2560x1440 native resolution.  However, when connecting either with a mini-display port to DVI adapter, or an HDMI to DVI cable, I'm only getting 1920x1080 resolution.  Any thoughts on how to get the full resolution I was hoping for?  Thanks!
    Justin

    This question was solved.

Please see the "HP Pavilion g7 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide" for the technical specification of your computer. It appears that the computer supports SATA, but no exact information is given. The is most likely SATA version based on an AMD A60M chipset would be SATA3.

  • When does Adobe Encore CS3 support DTS-HD audio

When does Adobe Encore CS3 support DTS-HD audio?
Today I have tried to make a Blu-ray disc project with a 5.1 DTS-HD (192 kHz)audio track, but the DTS-HD audio track was much longer in the timeline than the videotrack! while the DTS-HD was encoded properly and was excactly the same length then the videotrack,
I think DTS-HD is still not supported by Adobe CS3....when will there be an update to solve this?

    Okay - bug confirmed here.
DTS-HD MAS is not being correctly parsed by CS3.
I tried this using a 24-48 5.1 DTS-HD MAS file, and a file lasting around 20 minutes came in at over 4 hours in CS3.
Admittedly, I used the Blu Ray + HD DVD Primary profile.
So, I tried again using a 4.18 duration 5.1 mix at 24/48 resolution, using the pure Blu Ray profile.
When imported into Encore CS3, this came out at an apparent 1 hour 6 min file. Clearly, something is wrong here.
Further - it would appear that despite it being possible to import the stream, DTS-HD is simply not supported at all - you have to enable the "All Files" option to get the import dialogue to even see the file.
Yet again, we see Audio as the poor relation in a video suite.

Best file a feature request for DTS-HD support.

Same form should also be used for the Bug Report.
If enough people ask for this, it may get implemented - and as Adobe are concentrating on Flash & Blu Ray these days, you may even get lucky.

  • Your TV may not support this resolution or refresh rate.

    Hi All,
In the last hour, my apple TV (3rd Gen) has changed the TV resolution (hookup via HDMI directly into a Samsung 720p LED TV). Everything is bigger. No issue since in the past I would just change the resolution manually to 720p 50Hz, but now it will not let me and it says the following:
"Your TV may not support this resolution or refresh rate."
Does this have anything to do with ATV latest software update? Is it that my TV is an older model?
Any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    Best,
    Bonfoa

    Change the Apple TV resolution:
Press and hold the Menu and Up button on your Apple Remote for six seconds.
The Apple TV will automatically cycle to the next resolution at approximately 20 second intervals.
Press Play on the Apple Remote to keep the current resolution or Select to manually cycle to the next resolution.

  • JMF and supported capture resolution

    Hello
I have got 1.3 mpx webcam and try to use it with JMF to capture video. The problem is that JMfRegistry and JMFStudio, not mentioning my own code, can't detect capture resolution higher than 640x480. Does JMF supports higher resolutions? or do I need to use other technology to access camera?
