Does OBIEE picks up Email Id of the user from LDAP?

Hello All,
As soon as I configured the iBot I want to send the reports output as email. I assigned them to the user. It is failing with the following errors.
" No devices for user: xxxxxx"
My understanding was LDAP where the user authentication happens would supply the email id to OBIEE I guess I'm wrong. Can some one put somelight on this.
How do go further,..!

Ok, Lets say I have a user called "ABC" he logs in and wants to send it to a group of people. Created iBot and in delivery content he looks for the people and select's them but iBot error is something like this "No devices for user"

    Hello, I need help.
    I have two domains, an old domain and a new domain that were are migrating to.
    I have 2 connections for Users Synchronizations, one to the old domain and one to the new domain.
    Here is what is happening: when I open people picker from any of the web applications only the users that existed in the old domain are showing and not the new users that are been added to the new domain. Basically people picker is displaying old data/users.
    What can I do?

    The People Picker doesn't leverage UPA Sync Connections. Is there a one way or two way trust set up between the domains? If it is one way (where the old trusts the new), then you need to leverage the peoplepicker-searchadforests property: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263460(v=office.12).aspx.
    You also need to make sure your SharePoint servers have port access to the Domain Controllers in the new domain: https://peoplepicker.codeplex.com.

    The questions about time was not only because of thinking about the Time Machine, but also possible impact on recognizing which messages remaining on a POP server (doesn't apply to IMAP) have been already downloaded. In the Mail folder, at its root level, in Mail 3.x there is a file named MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded3 that should prevent duplicate downloading -- some servers may not communicate the best with respect to that, and the universal index must certainly be involved in updating that index file. If it corrupts, it can inhibit proper downloading. However, setting the account up in a New User Account and having the same problem does not point that way, unless your POP3 server is very different from most.
    That universal index is also typically involved when messages are meant to be moved from the Inbox to another mailbox -- in Mail 3.x the message does not move, but rather is copied, and then erased from the origin mailbox. That requires updating the Envelope Index to keep track of where the message is, and should keep track of where it is supposed to have been removed after the "Move".

  • Have just installed PE12 with no install problems. Share preference does not show any email preferences, just the default Adobe.

    PE12 just installed, but Organizer share preference for emailing photos does not show any email preferences except the default Adobe. Have Visa with Windows Mail. Previous PE worked OK.  How to resolve?

    Hi,
    One email remains in the user's outbox in SAP. All other emails to external addresses are working.
    The recipient's email address is correct.
    There is no error in the Event viewer.
    In table ALR1 the status is 'P'. What does status 'P' mean? Any ideas why this email is not sending?

    As further information, the error in the Event Viewer is
    Faulting application B1mail.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.3959, fault address 0x000292a2.
    I didn't see it at first as it's under source:application error and not SBO mailer.

  • Unable to send email to the users from Project Server Workflow

    Hello all,
    I am facing issues in sending emails to the users from the workflow in SharePoint Designer 2013.
    I am trying to send emails to valid users in a Project server 2013 Workflow by Email action.
    I have set up the SMTP server successfully, I have configured SMTP server successfully in IIS manager 6.0
    I have configured the outgoing e-mail settings in Central Administration successfully,
    I have configured the SMTP email settings for my web app in IIS manager as well.
    I have configured and synced the User Profile App with the eMail addresses from Active Directory as well.
    I have configured the Alerts and Reminders in Operational Policies of PWA settings as well.
    I can send the emails to the users successfully through Powershell.
    But when I am trying to Start a Task Process with a user in the workflow, the task process starts but it never sent an email notification. So I tested by using the Action Email, that also the user is unable to receive any email. But the Workflow is not giving
    any error also. The email sending is successful, but the user is unable to receive it. The workflow succeeds to next phase without any errors.
    So to cross verify I tried 'Alert Me' option on a list, but that also is not sending(or might be sending but the user is not receiving) the mail.
    What else should I do to solve this issue.
    Please help me.

    Hello Paul,
    I tried editing the PWA instance as you said, but that also didn't help :(
    I even restarted the Project Server Service, but nothing is changed. 
    I tried creating a new workflow for a List and used send email there, but that also is not sending the mail :(
    How do I check where the issue is from ? I mean, whether the workflow is sending the mail and the mail server is not receiving? or whether the workflow is not sending the mail itself? how do I check this? Is there any way to log these details?
    Please help me regarding this issue, I am totally clueless how to proceed.

    My opinion: I think you'll need to define what, to you, means "primary user".  a primary user relationship can be defined manually by you one by one in the console, automatically by usage, imported via script, or the end user (if they know
    how and you've allowed this in settings) can indicate a machine is a primary machine for themselves.
    How is primary user relationship set, in your environment?  Depending upon how that relationship is determined in your environment, then you can track for that particular machine how or why the relationship you expect to be there, isn't the relationship
    the database acknowledges.
    Standardize. Simplify. Automate.

    Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. This can be a little time consuming re-entering all of the device settings again.

    Could that read " . . . could not access . . ."?  If so, try repairing your backups, per #A5 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting.
    If not, or if that doesn't help, see #A1 there. Use the TM Buddy widget it details to copy and post the messages here.

    Formscentral doesn't support direct delivery of filled forms via email at this time. You can however use Acrobat to add an email link to a form instead of a submit button. In this way the PDF will be returned to the email of your choice.

    I have a doubt about finding out the user from the scheduled jobs queue. Say I go ahead and schedule a report on Reports Server how can I find out the user name. When I view the jobs using showjobs I could see that the DBMS_JOBS table has a column under "Job Owner". But it invariantly shows it is "rwuser". So is there a way to find out which user has scheduled which job?
