Does parse file change on v3.0 ?
Hi everybody
I tried to create parse file on 3.0 version of Apex with the same rules as old version. It didn't work.
Before 3.0 we had
In the page process "Parse file", it has...
htmldb_tools.parse_file(:P1_FILENAME,'P1_COLLECTION','P1_HEADINGS','P1_COLUMNS','P1_DDL');
And on 3.0 ? I tried
In the page process "Parse file", it has...
apex_tools.parse_file(:P1_FILENAME,'P1_COLLECTION','P1_HEADINGS','P1_COLUMNS','P1_DDL');
But It didn't work
Please follow me the right way ^^

Hi user450801,
you have to be a little bit more patient. It's weekend!
The htmldb_tools package is a package written by Vikas (http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=38131:1) which doesn't have to do anything with the upgrade of APEX to 3.0.
As long as you haven't renamed your package to APEX_TOOLS it will still be accessible as HTMLDB_TOOLS.

NWDS does not allow file change.
Hello friends,
I am developing an Netweaver ISA eCommerce application. I got a problem to change one file of this application. I have opened my NWDS and I changed some files (the activity was created to put the changes) but one of the files that I must change does not accept the modification. I mean, I can not edit that file. If I remove the write protection, the NWDS allows the change, but this way is not correct because the file changed does not go to the activity.
I have already seen this problem before and I solved it through an "edit" command on DTR perspective (right button over the file). But this option is not available at this time.
Can anyone help me?

Rodrigo.I have found a good way to solve the problem. I removed the DC from client and I created it again. After that, NWDS allowed the file editing.
I do not know why it happened but it seems to be a bug on Developer Studio.

Update Statement Simply hanged but doing db file sequential read
Hi,
Last night we had issue with one of the prod server where we updating one of table which contains large number records in millions.Same identical machine completed in1 hour and other box never completed but doing db file sequential read but in the long ops the last statement it was done 20:16 after that nothing is happening but i ran few trace on that user.

These IDEs are powerful but sometime confused; for example from time to time Eclipse tells me a Java class (in a big Java project) doesn't exist just because it is stale (changed by VCS) and its index isn't up to date. -

User Profile Incremental Sync does not views changes in profiles. I make full sync - all ok. then I change the phone number for example, and then start incremental sync and nothing moves to AD.
All the stages of FIM sync just state 0 records to process. Looks like it does not see the changes
1.profile property is set up to sync with AD attribute (with EXPORT).
2.no errors in Windows logs or FIM UI client, nor in sharepoint UI
3. sharepoint server 2010 SP1, "CU June 2012" 14.0.6123.5002
4. I have just reprovisioned sync service, set up AD connections and property-attribute relations. before

According to your description, the issue can be caused by the Profile or Profile Values table.
You can check the event log and ULS log to see detail error message.
To check event log, click the Start button and type “Event Viewer” in the Search box.
For SharePoint 2013, by default, ULS log is at
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS

Not able to save file changes on HCP Web IDE
Hi
i am not able to save the file changes on my HANA XS Application created on HCP Trail Account using Wed IDE. This problem does not occur always but now it has become frequent. On click of save button waiting icon comes up and then after minutes it shows error message as Error while Saving.
I normally use HCP Web IDE platform for all development work.

Can anybuddy tell me what is the issue as this is will hamper the development process.Check the permissons on the folder and drive, not just on the file.

Quit iCal, and try removing the com.apple.iCal.plist file from your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. Since that Library is now hidden, you have to use the Finder>Go Menu>Depress the "Option" key>Library. Drag the .plist file to your desktop, and log out/in or restart and check iCal for functionality.
Also go to System Preferences...>Language & Text>Formats>Region: and set/re-set the appropriate "Region." -
Hi,
when I drag a pdf file (when working in Preview) into iBooks Author, the background colour in the pdf file changes into the background colour of the book.
This happens not consistently, sometimes the background of the pdf file does not change (and stays white), sometimes it's like the text in the pdf file is 'lifted' of the file, and put on the page in iBooks Author (with a brown/beige background).
All the pdf files are scanned pdf's, nothing comes out of Pages, Word, Excel,...

I believe this is because the PDFs have transparent backgrounds. As far as I can tell, the only way to fix it is to export the PDF as another file, such as an image file. Or perhaps convert it to Word and import it that way. -
Need to monitor any file change in the system, in real time

I am running a program that I suspect may be doing changes in the filesystem, but I do not know which ones. I would like to know if there is a daemon/program that could help me monitor those changes. I tried AIDE, however, it works by creating a database of checksums for each file and does not report in real time potential changes. I would rather use a program that logs changes and timestamp them. Furthermore, AIDE is not useable with /var files, since there are many of them and they change so often. Is there another good solution?
Alternatively I would like to run the program with monitoring. For instance, run the process as:
monitor_program my_program_to_monitor logfile
This would dump in logfile what my_program_to_monitor does to the filesystem.

i tried the following to search lsof output first thing when inotifywait finds a file change.

while in another terminal running "vi /home/mang/watch/test"

Word 2013 uses its own pdf creator engine as far as I know. The step I performed were:
1 - In the save settings I told word to embed fonts (sorry for the language, I have the Italian client)
2 - Export from Word -> Save As -> .pdf adding also the table of contents/index
N.B. I cannot use PDF/A, and in any case it doesn't embed the font
A working solution is to use Acrobat XI to convert it or print with Adobe PDF printer, results:
The problems are 2:
1 - It doesn't create any bookmark and doesn't create links from the table of images to the linked images
2 - Images, also with the preset "High Quality Printing" customized using "No compression", are really ugly and if you zoom a bit more than 100% they totally be s**t. It wasn't that way with PDF created by word.
In the end, or I find they way to open the pdf created by word and embedd the missing font, or I find a way to make Acrobat XI creating bookmarks from the word file.

What exactly does 'Open Filer' do ?
DB version: Oracle 11gR2
I have installed and maintained Oracle RAC in the Real World systems (Solaris and AIX). Here the Nodes are connected to shared storage via HBA cards. I've seen Blogs, articles of people using VM Ware, Oracle Virtual box creating RAC in their Desktops/Laptops. Creating several virtual machines (Solaris or Linux) might be easy.
But how can they emulate a shared storage in Hard drive which is essentially used by the Windows Os (on top of which VM is installed) ie. Every single block in Laptop's HardDrive which openfiler uses is actually Windows OS formatted. Right? In layman's terms, what does open filer do in this Hard Drive which is actually Windows NT formatted? Can Windows reclaim the space in the Laptop's Hard Drive which Open filer was using?

i have illustrator files compiled in a book in indesign. everything looks fine and then when i create a pdf some of the illustrator files change colors (what's supposed to be black turns green). anyone know what could be happening?
Black shouldn't turn to green. However, if you have PMS colors and you select convert to process in export you will get color shift. Does it print green? If it prints correctly, it's a preview setting in Acrobat that needs adjusting. I think if you select Show Overprint it displays correctly. I'm at home so I can't check in Acrobat Pro.

Excel file changes on PC not reflected on BT Cloud...
This is a strange one....if I make a change to an Excel file on my laptop...it is backed up to BT Cloud ok....but if I access the file from my mobile phone...it still shows the original file without the change....BT Helpdesk stated that BT Cloud does not support Excel file changes...is this correct?...I find that astounding!
I need to add that Word document and notepad files do not suffer from the same problem....changes are reflected ok when access from mobile device or my laptop on the cloud.

When is my RAW file changed? Upon import? Upon viewing? Only after edit list started?
All:
I now have a "second copy" made in a separate hard drive when I import files from my camera cards. I want an untouched file for possible comparative "developing" or rendering in DxO or PhotoNinja. Might convert everything to DNG someday.
Asking LR to do this at the top of the Import pane is I assume, creates a copy *and* makes NO changes to the RAW data.
OTOH, Lightroom will offer me the image in Camera Raw to view, create, and interpret my edit/develop decisions. But I have been thinking about this and need to ask all of you: Is that CR2 file in my dated Lightroom database folders a changed file in any way from the RAW file while it was still on the card? The decision to hold edit data in sidecar files plays a part in this, right? External sidecar files means even after edits I can copy the CR2 file and use it in other [RAW]converter's software?
jonathan7007Being a "non-destructive editor", Lightroom does not (cannot) change your CR2 files....with one exception, which is when/if you choose to edit the capture time of an image, in which case the changed date is written back into the file header's EXIF field. But apart from that, it is never ever changed.....all edits are stored primarily in the catalog's database, and optionally you can have them written into XMP sidecars. Having the XMP sidecar would allow you to open the raw file in another XMP-capable Adobe program, outside Lightroom, and see the edits applied. Not sure if other non-Adobe raw converters would be able to interpret all of that XMP info.
For non-proprietary raw files (e.g. DNG, Tiff), you can also choose to save the XMP data but in this case it would be written directly into the files header, not into sidecar files. The underlying image data is still, however, unchanged. -
