Does DestroyJavaVM() [i]really[/i] destroy the JVM?

If anybody has any advice on this issue I would really appreciate it. I use Java in my C++ application through JNI. For various reasons, once I'm done making my Java calls, I no longer want the JVM to be running. The trouble I'm having is that even after making the call to DestroyJavaVM(), the JVM seems to continue to run, as evidenced by the fact that if my code subsequently does something like throw a signal, the JVM picks up on it and spits out an error message. Here is a simple program that illustrates my point:

}So, if you look at the 'Do something stupid' piece of code, that generates a seg fault, which I would like to handle myself, but it looks like the JVM picks up on even though I previously destroyed it and spits out the following message:

You will need to wait for any thread(s) to finish and exit before the VM will shut down, and even then it may not be destroyed, depending on the JVM version.

    thread in the VM. JDK 1.1.2 has lifted this restriction. If DestroyJavaVM

    the current thread is the only user thread, and then tries to destroy itself.The spec does not promise the VM will actually be unloaded, so this part may depend on the implementation:

Why is there a java enable function in the settings app of the ipad2, ios5, when java is not supported by ios5 on the ipad2? The adds say that java neo, I think that is what it is supposed to be called, was supposedly introduced into the ios5 format to deal with this?

If you're looking in the settings for Safari, that's JavaScript, which despite the similarity in names is completely different from Java. Java is not, never has been, and all indications are never will be supported in iOS. I have no idea what "java neo" might be, but I've never seen Java mentioned in any way in any of Apple's iPad ads.

SignalR - Two Hubs must not share the same name

I created asp.net mvc 5 application (call it "WebServices"), then i add my Hubs in a folder called "Hubs". Now
what happened is that SignalR (2.0.2) generate JavaScript proxies for hubs in environment: 1-in local machine. 2-when i publish to azure web role. Now when i publish to azure website (.NET is 4.5 and websocket is opened),it didn't generate proxies. Now i tried
to add hubs to App_Code folder ,and it generate proxies ,but the build action of the hub classes are "Content",when i change it to Compile it raised this exception :

Hey, I have two macbook pros (250 gb). They are both running out of space. My first thought was to share an iphoto library off of Dropbox or our Time Capsule. But, I heard that if one file gets corrupted (interenet cuts out, for example) then the whole library gets corrupted. Well, we're full again and now I am wondering if I could move our Itunes folders to our Time Capsule, sync/sort them both so there won't be any duplicates and then use this as a shared itunes library. So first, is this possible? Both computers share the same itunes account.
Second, if I do, and I purchase a song, show, whatever, does it automatically be added to the itunes library on our Time Capsule and then it is available for both computers to access? Or do I need to "import" it on both?
Third, does the "file corruption" issue listed above pertain to itunes?
I saw a discussion about this but it was form 2008. I am sure things have changed a bit since then.

I've had the first one for some time, about an year, and I only bought another for a family member. I was wondering why do we need to share the same library and how can we change it. Help would be welcomed since we really like different kind of genres and we disagree on them, so we really really want to change this. I can't even say how much we need to change the setting. Sherlocked, There are a few ways you can solve that problem.
If you do want to share the same library, use the capabililty to "Sync Selected Playlists," so that each iPod will only get the music that its owner wants.
Alternatively, you can set up two separate libraries. This is easiest if you use two different Windows user IDs on the computer. Then each iPod owner can sync to his own library.

Why does HashMap.java use transient for the collection of key and value?

I just took a look at source code of HashMap.java.
It uses the variable "table" to store the keys and values.
This vairalbe is transient, but any hashmap can be serialized and deserialized.
Could you please help me clarify how it could happen that the transient variable can be serialized?

The 'table' might be transient, but its content, or current data content of the map, shoud be somehow saved/restored in the serializing/deserializing code of the HashMap.

For this particular issue, I found out that neither is the tool dumb nor is me. It's SVGViewer messed up with the firefox browser, after I rebooted the computer this morning, problem is gone. I didnt reboot after I copied SVGViewer dll and zip file to firefox plugin directory yesterday. Never had that pain with IE and Netscape, oh well :-). So please ignore this section, however other questions are still unsolved puzzles for me. Thank you all if you can share some light on those questions.

Does two seperate client required if the solman monitors DEV and QAS system

This is our client landscape:
1 Dev-SolMan->For all development and quality systems(ECC 6.0, BI and EP).
1 PRD-SolMan->For all production systems(ECC 6.0, BI and EP).
Note: We have build only DEV-SolMan system as of now and we haven't done any configuration yet like either service desk or ChaRm.
The question is:
Do we need to have two seperate clients in DEV-Solman, one for all development systems and one for all quality systems? or Can we have a single client in DEV-Solman to handle all development and quality systems? What is the SAP recommented approach?

Hi,
you even don't need separate Solution Manager systems to monitor DEV / QA and Prod. You could use one SolMan client to monitor and administrate all systems / clients.
Maybe it would be a good idea to create different Solution Landscapes, but this depends on your need.
Separate clients are no good option, because CHARM can only activated in on client. Also if you plan to activate charm, you need a solution that contains all systems in your transport landscape (DEV, QAnad Prod).

I think it will work. As long as you create separate SQL databases for the planning system files for dev and prod on the sql server. If your planning web for dev is deployed on server x, and planning web for prod is on server y, when you run config utility on server x you would point to the SQL database u created for dev. Repeat on prod when u run the config utility just point to the planning system database you created for prod.
haven't done this myself but sounds possible.
