Doesn't close properly the anonymous user's session.

Hello experts.
We are implementing the anonymous user in Portal, according to the following link:

We have used the notes: 709354, 837898 and 728106
And the only problem we found and we couldn't solve is when the anonymous user navigate between links, Portal is trying to close the session anonymous without success, showing each click an Error like this:

Exception processing application, send your exception ID Portal Administration

More details on this exception in the corresponding protocol file "
We haven't found useful information in the default trace.
For this we implemented the note "755947 - Session Release Agent - Guest Access" note but still unresolved.
Any advice would be helpful.

You need to activate logging and tracing on Session Release Agent (refer to SAP Note 596698), then post an information relevant for Session Release Agent here.

You can only see the menu of one responsibility at a time, so how to do you expect the application to let you see multiple responsibilities/menus in one session?
You could open another session and this way you can access more than one responsibility at the same time.

Dropped MacBook; hinge doesn't close properly

Yesterday I dropped my MacBook while open backward on the floor and it fell flat on the back of the screen. Now if I want to close the screen (or open) in one of the corners the hinge does not close properly so the edge squeeks against the back of the bottom part. I'm afraid that in the long run this might cause problems as the screen has to be pushed slightly with it's friction. Are there any instructions somewhere where I can try to set the screen back in the right position?

Serial port doesn't close properly

I'm working with the RXTX comm APi to connect a java application (jdk 1.5) with a mikrocontroller via a virtual serial port (using WinXP). I'm only jumping to certain addresses of the controller and then write into or read from them.
After some tricky problems that were already discussed in this forum I now encountered a new one:
After I finished my communication with the controller, I want to make a clean shutdown by closing the input- and outputStream, removing the SerialEventListener and finally closing the serialPort.
When I'm doing the latter, the program suddenly hangs totally. No exception is thrown and I have to terminate the application through the ide.
I monitor all the port traffic with "portmon" from sysinternals and it tells me that around 5 minutes after I tried to close the port, the javaw-process finally sends "IRP_MJ_CLEANUP" and "IRP_MJ_CLOSE".
Sometimes only the first one is sent, what makes it impossible to connect to the port again without a restart of windows (port in use by unkown application).
I don't have the sourcecode right with me now, so I can't post some examples. However I'm basically doing nothing else then most of the other sourcecodes concerning serial port connections posted in this forum. Anyway I will post some code later.
But for now, has anybody some ideas what could be the problem?

Seems that it's not necessary to post my sourcecode because the same problem occures when I'm running the SerialDemo from the javax.comm 2.0 API.

Here's an update. The serial port works fine, as long as I don't have any I/O pci cards in the machine. Both my Adaptec SCSI controller and a Pinnacle AV card cause the same malfunction with the serial port. When those cards are removed, it works! No conflicts with IRQ or anything that I can see.....no errors reported by windows device manager.

When I close Firefox by clicking on X in the upper right corner of Vista, Firebox doesn't close and the next time I click on FireFox I get a message that FF is still running but not responding. I use alt,ctlr,delete to use Task Manager to close FF. Why?

SSO (SPNego) Configured, but Anonymous user´s page doesn´t work

I configured Single Sign-On between Portal and windows using SPNego (working OK) but when we try to connect to Portal using anonymous user I ca´n´t do it ( my pc user is automatically loged), Any idea to filter the anonymous user?

What you need to do is create an alias of the server on the DNS.
Example:
http://portal.client.com:50000 is the normal portal access with SPNEGO. You have set the SPN to this server (setspn) to use SPNEGO
On the DNS you need to create another alias to the same server but you don't map it to the SPN user.
http://portalNOSPNEGO.cliente.com:50000
As it is not mapped to use kerberos... it won't use the SSO.
If you want to access anonymous user or with any other user on your domain you will access the new portal URL http://portalNOSPNEGO.client.com:50000
There is a problem accessing this with IE6.0.. it might appear a Windows popup authentication window. In order to get rid of this.. you have to change the Internet Explorer Security Level.
Option a) Include the portalNOSPNEGO site on the Trusted Sites. On the security level of the trusted sites select "Anonymous Logon". Include the portal.client.com site on the Intranet Sites... the security level of this sites should be "Authentication only on Intranet Sites"
Option b)Upgrade to IE 7.0
For the external users that have nothing to do with your domain..
Option a)the security level for the Internet sites should be "Anonymous Logon".... or
Option b)Uncheck de Integrted Windows Authentication
Option c)Upgrade to IE7.0

Keep track of the shopping cart for anonymous user

I have the following problem on b2c site. Anonymous user can browse through the site and adds items to the shopping cart. At the checkout the login page is prompted, however login page is located on the different application server where the actual login happening. After that control is returned to my server where I need to create login object and associate the shopping cart with it. My problem is how to maintain shopping cart without losing it.
I came with that solution : On checkout attach shopping cart to context object with unique key, then pass this unique key to the remote server, then remote server passes it back to me together with the login id, then I create new session and attach shopping cart to it after retrieving shopping cart from the context.
I hope it will work, however I think there is a standard solution for this type of the problems. Any ideas, hints, suggestions are strongly appreciated.

Do you have a problem keeping track of the shopping cart for a user who is logged in? No, I didn't think so. So give the anonymous user an internal name, just for your own convenience. Then keep track of the shopping cart for the user with that name. You already know how to do that.

Anonymous User Login

I have an issue with 'Forgot Password' button in the end user login. When a Forgot Password button is clicked, a Question Login workflow will trigger (I think I am right?) .Now I would like to customize the 'Question Login' workflow as per my requirements, but unfortunately I am not, I modified the system configuration object, but still with no luck I am not able to customize that workflow.
So I thought of using anonymous login page and I can launch my own workflow as per my requirements. I have registered my workflow at 'anonymous end user tasks'. and I try to launch the anonymous login page using the url 'http://localhost:8080/idm/user/anonlogin.jsp'. I am getting the following errors.
An unrecoverable error has occurred processing the request. Contact your system administrator.
Syslog ID = LG-1111-024933.
Only the Reset Administrator may access this view.
I don't know, where I am doing wrong. For the first time I am trying to use anonymous login page.
Did anybody faced similar problems?
Can anybody please post some points, like what is the procedure to use a Anonymous login page?

Well, first, I visited Configure > User Interface, and enabled Anonymous Enrollment.
Next, I went to user/login.jsp, and saw "Request Account". I clicked on it, and up popped the user/anonEnrollment.jsp page. (I was looking at using this for one of our requirements; turned out I didn't need it, and did something else).
Anyway, a quick check with Live HTTP Headers for Firefox shows that the post was directly to anonEnrollment.jsp; anonEnrollment.jsp has this at the top:

}Not a huge amount of help. However, it does establish that there is an "getAnonymousUser" method, which is documented to return "the currently registered anonymous user name if any". And reading the Workflows, Forms, and Views manual, it states that the anonymous main page is for "... when a user who does not have a Identity Manager account logs in, an Identity Manager user object is created ...". Basically, if you're using pass through auth, and have a source system that will let a user authenticate, they can then set themselves up.
So, I visited "anonmain.jsp" after clearing all cookies, and up popped "anonlogin.jsp", with a login box. I entered "anonymous", and lo!, I was logged in, and saw the anonymous user menu. In other words, I was "provisionally" logged in with an account that doesn't really exist (anonymous).
However, I had to provide that extra bit of information, namely, my "fake" user name of "anonymous". I don't know how you'd do that without JSP customization.
Basically, "anonymous" means "has a username, but we don't have an account", rather than "truely anonymous" as near as I can tell. The system will do it for you in the case of "Request Account" (the generated login page has some Javascript code to redirect to anonEnrollment.jsp), but it doesn't seem to be an exposed API.
You might get somewhere with customizing the "Request Account" string in the messages catalogue, and then customizing the anonymous enrollment workflow.

Anonymous Users can see pages and files only about 10 minutes

We have set Anonymous access permission to an KM repository. After the portal restarting very strange things are happen. An user who belongs to the Anonymous Users group can see and open pages (created by WPC), files and hyperlinks. But after about ten minutes of such browsing a login screen begins to appear. Since that time the user canu2019t see and open any file of the repository.
We have accurately read and applied recommendations of the Note 837898 - How to configure anonymous CM access.
All URL Generator Service properties are exactly satisfied recommended values (e.g. /irj/go/*).
We have granted Read permissions to all required repositories and recourses for Everyone and Anonymous Users groups (checked End User fieled as well).
The site navigation structure and pages have been developed by mean of Web Page Composer (WPC).
Security Zone (no safety) of WPC has been set with Read permission of Everyone and Anonymous Users groups.
How to work around this?

Please read the following clarification of our situation.
During setting up access of anonymous user to Web Page Composer pages we need to use Web Content repository that is not in the Documents repository.
As is in the note 837898 there are no prefixes for WPC pages in the URL Generator Service.
So the an anonymous user get login screen then attempt to access any WPC pages of the Web Content repository.
How to achieve that content in the Web Content repository get as Content Link property the value '/irj/go/km/docs/wpccontent/u2026', rather than '/irj/servlet/prt/prtroot/...'?

As far as I know an anonymous user doesn't provided with logon ticket at all. You can check this in the SDN SAP Help.

Anonymous user will not logon to portal system.
is it possible to display some data from SAP System for Anonymous users.To make connections to SAP System,
one requires userid/password which is not possible for anonymous users.

Hi,
Create a dedicated shared user in the Backend for the anonymous access, for example EPGUEST.
Give this user the roles/authorization it needs in the Backend.
Map this user (using usermapping) to the Anonymous User, Role OR Group in the Portal.
The reason you need to user usermapping is because for Anonymous users the Portal doesn't generate SAP Logon Tickets so you wil not be able to SSO to the backend.
NOTE:
- be carefull what authorizations you provide this EPGUEST user in the backend.
- it must be a dialog user but, treat this user as a System user, so with a fixed password that cannot be changed by te user itself.
- if you want to open up WebDynpro 4 ABAP, ITS or any app running in the backend that is called via its URL then you need to be aware that the Portal is no HTTP Reverse Proxy, so in other words, you must put a Reverse Proxy solution in front of your landscape that you want to expose to the outside world.

Grant read permission on List for Anonymous user for public facing site in Sharepoint 2013 Online

I have a public facing SP site ( SP online 2013 with Office 365 ). There are certain app parts added to it which read data from a
custom list created on that site. By default anonymous users do not have read permissions list. I want users to see the list data without login in . I tried modifying the settings for anonymous users , however I am unable to do it as the "anonymous user"
permissions cannot be checked by me.
How do I provide read permissions to anonymous users?

once you make the web site online anonymous users get the read access to list.
You can add the list view webpart and show the details to anonymous users. In the below link i have added the announcement list view webpart to a page.

Access to WPC Web Pages by Anonymous Users?

Hello,
i want to give anonymous users access to Web Pages that were created with the Web Page Composer.
In did the following:
1. create the Web Pages,Site Navigation etc....
2. edited the permissions of the site: grant anonymous users Read Access.
3.included the site navigation into the navigation of the anoymous users
When i access the portal as anonymous users and try to open a Web Page, i get a logon screen for Authentification.
I think that there is a problem, that i didn't find any way to set the Authentification Scheme for these Web Pages to "Anonymous". This is the way it has to be done with other iViews.
When i am accessing the page with an authenticated users, i have no problem with displaying the same Web Pages.
Is there anywhere an attribute i need to set? Or is it currently not supported?

1. Configuration in PCD - go to Content Administration -> Portal Content-> Portal Content -> Web Page Composer -> Container iViews -> WPC
Default Containers. All of the iViews in this location should have the
"anonymous" authentication scheme. The next location which should be
checked is Content Administration -> Portal Content -> Portal Content ->Web Page Composer -> iView Templates. Again all of the iViews should
have the "anonymous" authentication scheme. The same applies to all the
templates which reside in Content Administration -> Portal Content ->
Portal Content -> Web Page Composer -> Page Layout Templates. Finally
check if all the pages which reside in Content Administration -> Portal
Content -> Portal Content -> Web Page Composer -> Page Layouts have the
"anonymous" authentication scheme.
2. Configuration in KM - make sure that all the pages, which should be
displayed to an anonymous user have in their permissions the Anonymous
Users Group.
3. Security zones - if you go to System Administration -> Permissions ->Security Zones -> com.sap.nw.wpc -> wpc -> no_safety and you open the
permissions of this object, the Anonymous Users group must be added in
the list.
If all mentioned objects have their setting as described and you still
experience problems (e.g. you see a browser dialog window for
authentication), the reason most probably is, that the KM is not
configured for anonymous access. A full description of the needed steps
is provided with note 837898.
