    You have been charged in advance since day one. It has always been that way. And you are free to go back to your old plan when ever you want....

Scams traditionally resided in confidence tricks, where an individual would misrepresent themselves as someone with skill or authority, i.e. a doctor, lawyer, investor. After the internet became widely used, new forms of scams emerged such as lottery scams, scam baiting, email spoofing, phishing, or request for helps. These are considered to be email fraud.     Ways to prevent people SCAMMING you:
    The fraudulent individual scammer!
    This person will try his hardest to deceive you.
    Basic Equation for fraud of a individual: You want to give something to "person 1", "person 2" knows about this and pretends to be "person 1" and then he then accepts the gift as "person 1" then takes what you nicely gifted.
    = You lost something you most likely can't get back.
    IN-DEPTH Equation for fraud of a individual:
    It is a friends/relative of yours birthday who is "Person 1" and your in this awesome communication application called Skype and you are chatting to some "friends" or relatives, "Person 1" and "Person 2", but they haven't got the best relationship (or there relationship isn't as strong as there greed.), so on forward you want to buy "Person 1" something for his birthday, and you are to lazy/not able to go to the shop so you want to buy him something online and you want him to pick out whatever he wants and order it to his house but you will do it tommorrow. (I am assuming not the most common scenario but you understand.), Out of spite/greed Sam hears about this and then #1. Gets ahold of the account that "Person 1" is using Skype (Or other.) on, by hacking or finding the device "Person 1" is logged into. #2. Makes a new account pretending to be "Person 1".
    "Person 2" somehow accomplishes to do one of them 2 things how can you make sure it is who you think it is?
    Answer that always works for this type of scamming if done correctly: 2 I have used.
    #1. Have a way a secret list of characters or a word that isn't easily guessable by even your closest of friends, Eg. "Buttercups446" tell them that in person or privately and the next day you want to give him "item" you can tell him to send you that "password" before you do so. In my opinion that is an amature way of doing it in my opinion, because if "gender" writes it down somewhere to remember or if he doesnt remember at all, or if someone somehow overhears it is busted.
    #2. Come on! Use the the way the cavemans used to do it! Skype, a Phone (Not truth.)! Easiest way is to simply use voice communication there is no way they can 100% forge the voice of someone else by the details of what they say and how they say the words. You can talk over the phone or skype whilst giving the gift or transaction.
    #3. I wouldn't recommend using this one, maybe if you don't have anyway of voice communication you can nickname/rename someone and put brackets next to there name saying REAL. Eg. "Garrick Dale (REAL)". This has one major weakness if someone get's ahold of the account then it will still say that is the person you want to give/trade the item to/with.
    The fraudulent organisation or company scammer!
    These people/person will pretend to be an organisation or company and send you messages through something or emails that looks legitimate but isn't.
    Basic equation of fraud of a group: You get a message from "A Phony Organisation/Company" they ask for you to prove that you are the person you are by putting in credentials of something they could withdraw money out of but they say they won't.
    = They do take money out of the account possibly drain it, even if you do get your money back they might still keep the money they scammed.
    IN-DEPTH Basic equation of fraud of a group:
    So you get a email/message and it is written or they send you to a website that looks like the website you are using, "Someone has tried to log into your account, we have locked the account to open it you need to verify that this is really you, you need to put in your banking credentials here, no money will be extracted.".
    You then get that email/message how do you find out it's the real deal?
    Answer that always works for this type of scamming if done correctly: 2 option I have used.
    #1. If the company has a helpline (phone support) or email support you can contact (Get this from there website), you can then contact them and ask about the email/message or website they take you to that you recieved about you giving them banking credentials. They should give you an explanation.
    #2. Making sure the email, message or website that came from the apparent, organisation/company. people do pretty cheap things to trick you into believing things.
    Examples. Real website: www.skype.com.en - Fake website: www.sskype.com.en
    The "I will" scammer!
    They will tell you they will do something, oath, swear on it, but never do it. Lies.
    Basic Equation for a "I will" scammer: "Person 1" says they'll give "Person 1's Item" for a item or/and money you have. = You give him the item/money and he doesn't give what he said in return, you never speak to him again.
    IN-DEPTH Basic Equation for a "I will" scammer:
    "Person 1" asks you if he/she could trade an item you own for "Person 1's Item" it sounds like a good idea.
    You want to trade but how do you know if he/she will give there part of the bargain?
    Answer that always works for this type of scamming if done correctly: 2 option I have used.
    #1. Trade your items/money through a secure network or service don't just do a "I give you this then you give me that.", for example, there is a gaming platform called Steam and they have a online item trading system if you use it correctly you cannot be scammed.
    #2. As simple as not trading, just sell for money on secure services where they then distribute whatever you are selling such as Ebay, or once again Steam.

    The problem may not be Apple or iTunes but with Addmired, Inc.  The company which created those games.  The games are loaded with hackers, subject players to high levels of harassment, threats, and profanity from other players and yet, there is NO support from Addmired in regards to helping players who try to report the harassment or ask for help.
    I have been unable to play any of the games by Addmired, (iMob, Global War, Original Gangstaz) due to constant harassment from hackers who located me after I responded to a request for help from another member of my 'gang/mob'.  Now, because I was stupid enough to try and help someone - I am being bombarded by threats, harassment, profanity laced messages and unable to even play the game because an obvious hacker using a jailbroken iphone / ipod attacks me again, and again, and again so that I can't play the game.
    Addmired needs to be addressed, if they are going to charge players for a 'free' game where you pretty much have to buy the additional points (street cred, respect.. whatever they want to call it) then the company has a responsiblity to it's customers to provide support against harassment in the games yet they do not!  I have tried for weeks to get help from this company, sending emails to them through the contact form on their website with no response, and no action taken against the individuals harassing me.

    let other companies view your usage and demographic information. I have over 12,000 points which are virtually useless because all of the offers shown are for what basically amounts to coupons for a percentage off.  30% off Shoes, a Kate Spade bag, regularly $1 billion dollars, save $1 million, Buy a $100 gift card for $90, etc. What kind of Smart Reward is that? To me a smart reward for my YEARS of loyal patronage would be $1 for every point earned redeemable in a gift card like my credit card company does. In my eyes Verizon owes me a $120 gift card for something fabulous. These Smart Rewards are really  nothing more than a slap in the face, while you allow another company to steal my info. And how much did they pay YOU for the privilege???? 

    If they send you an email promising "Rewards" and entice you into sharing your private information with a third party to get them then you're darned right you deserve something for free. Especially when they tell you , wow, you have 12K points look at all the free stuff you can get and show you pictures of fabulous items. Bottom line is Verizon sucks but not any more or less than any other big company sucks when it comes to stealing your info and handing it out. I was just ****** because I thought for one small moment that, maybe, they really did value my years of patronage. Learned a valuable lesson and didn't want anyone else to have to feel stupid like I did when I fell for their empty promises.

    After 20 yes TWENTY YEARS being with Verizon I to am done with their cell phone business. I have had nothing but problems with my "new" Droid, which I was "steered" to by a tech who told me what I should have not what I chose, my weakness was to still trust the employee had the best interest of their customer at heart. Brewhahaha! Boy what a error that was on MY part. I got a phone that has been defective from the moment I turned it ON.
    I first had home service with Verizon for many years...then wifi....then the bundle. Great, all I can say is as this company has grown, they have fallen apart on their customer service and their policies. Their nothing more than yet another CORPORATE mentality company whose bottom line is PROFIT.
    My droid arrived, it would not hold a charge...it would not always take a preference I chose...it would change things on preferences on it's own (wondering if my phone is like that car in the movie "CHRISTINE")  and was encouraged to keep using it, I just either didn't understand the "smart phone" ...or my age was allowing them to think I could no longer learn to use anything other than a rotary phone.  One tech actually told me to take the battery out and reset the phone, hmmm...sure right and ruin the phone? RIGHT...who trains these people???
    Verizon is no longer any resemblance of the once good company it just to be.
    Today my day was horrible. (your just lucky I told blab on about the last three months dealing with them!)
    Having just spent the majority of my day being transffered from one department to the next (seems they now have to transfer you if there is something as simple as adding an e mail to the order that was cancelled in error by the way to replace the lousy dysfunctional Droid I got) no one person can do what ever your account needs. Half way through my completely messed up day, I got so tired of this syrupy fake responses telling me to have a wonderful day and enjoy the rest of my day..and it was a pleasure to serve me.... after way to many transfers to other departments...they started sounding like they were recorded bots...or flight attendants. I just had to ask them if they served peanuts and cold drinks. HARD LIQUOR?
    So now I am waiting for my "reburbished" droid. (again)..checked on why I had not gotten it...it was cancelled flagged by "fraud". WHATTT?  Fourth time I have ordered something and this has happened, and no e mail asking me to contact them. I live in a senior gated community and they are trying to tell me "someone in your gated community attempted to commit fraud" so MY order gets flagged. (half the seniors in this gated community are half dead the others are either in Palm Springs or traveling...and the one who are slightly mobile...might not remember how to even get to the mail room .and back to their house..granted UPS requires I SIGN for the phone...but impossible since they flagged and did not send the phone out. So, here I sit, wondering after three months of dealing with these (not so funny) clowns and gain absolutely NO satisfaction, except to say....adios...when my contract ends.  AT&T hopefully is better, but who knows..this phone situation may be the death of me yet..and in the end VERIZON will not longer have to waste their time or mine transferring me to try to get a 1. working phone  2.  my order actually processed correctly  3. have to re-educate their techs.
    I no longer TRUST Verizon, I no longer believe they have the interest of their customers at heart. (what heart?)  and about the only thing I don't understand is they sell me a phone, then a package to buy time...but also $30.00 a month  fee to connect to their lines? Shouldn't that rather come with the package deal??
    Signed..done with Verizon squeezing me two ways to Sunday.  I just hope some other company  comes in with a plan to beat the socks off these top providers of cell services in the states...and I'd like to just sit back and watch the huge exodus  of people leaving. The pickens are ripe to do just that.

    The 13" will do the trick for what you describe as your needs, Be sure to consider how you will backup your data -- need an external drive?
    Also be sure to check with your college or division of study to see what they recommend. If they are hostile to Macs, you may be on your own for finding support. But in most major cities, that will not be too hard.

  • My Unity Web Player plug-in was disabled, I don't remember doing it was this done by FX for some reason?

    I was having a problem with a site my son uses that requires the Unity Web Player. I wrote to them and got a fix. Tried it out and it works but only using IE. :-(
    So, I went to check my plugins and the one for the Unity Web Player was disabled, I don't remember doing it and I was just wondering if it may have been done by Firefox for any particular reason.
    I can activate it again but I wanted to check in here and make sure it was safe before I did.

    Once I reactivated the plugin the site is now playable using Firefox. :-)
    I checked and yes, the plugin is up to date. It is showing the correct version as 4.2.2.12621.

    I have a Proxy Service called PS1 that will invoke and another Proxy service Called PS_ProcessingNode that invokes 10 differents webservices during the orchestration and takes about 2 minuts.
    I would like that if invoke PS1 that will invokes PS_ProcessingNode (asyncronously) and immediatly PS1 will return "OK" (don't wait for the response of PS_ProcessingNode) .
    For simulate this scenario I am testing with:
    - PS_Processing is a WSDL without response that has a JavaCallout with a Sleeper of 10 seconds.
    - PS invokes with "Publish action" to PS_ProcessingNode but is waiting for PS_Processsing finish. I don't want this beahivour.
    How I can do it for PS doesn't wait for the response of the PS_ProcessingNode?

    I'm glad you have a solution using JMS. But still Publish action should not wait for response. If you are seeing that behavior, you can contact Support with an SR to get it fixed.

    Totally agree with Andy. Apple needs to support its users whether or not they decide to update to iOS 7.
    The reviews from i Pad 3 owners (like me) is that when they've updated to iOS 7 they've experienced latency and sluggishness. Why would I ruin a perfectly good iPad by updating to iOS 7?
    Please let me know where I can find a patch for iOS 6.
