Double Clicking a Text Field and there is data in it
Hello,
When I double click in a text field there is data (my name) there that the form remembers from a previous use. I am ready to publish and distribute my form but I don't want the old data to be there. How do I delete it?

You may have the auto-complete option on in Acrobat. In Acrobat, click "preferences..." under the Edit menu. Choose "forms" from the category list and check out the auto-complete settings.

How can I get text from a text field and display it in an alert?
Hello! I am BRAND NEW to Objective-C and Xcode and iOS, so PLEASE be forgiving of what is going to be a stupid question. I have a text field. I want to enter some text, click "return", and see my text in an alert. It doesn't serve any useful purpose, but this is how I learn. So far, I am unsuccessful. Here's my function from my HelloEarthViewController.m file:

Is an "action button" a real button? From my limited understanding, the alert should launch when I click "return" since showInputMessage is attached to Editing Did End on the text field.

I am trying to download photoshop presets from online but can't seem to figure out how to open them in photoshop. They download sucessfuly and then goes to my download folder on my computer, from there I double click on the file and photoshop opens and then nothing happens, any ideas? I am using a PC

I'm talking about Album view where album covers are shown where you used to be able to double click and have it show up in a list view, but now in iTunes 11 there's just a window that pops up with the track list in front of other albums. Any way to get it back to the way it was in iTunes 10.7 where you double clicked on an album and it went into a list view?
Turning your Mac into a clock radio.
1. In iTunes create a playlist that contains just the radio station you want to wake up to.
2. Export the playlist (as .m3u works well). Get Info on your playlist file and look at the Open With entry to make sure it points to iTunes, VLC or some other app that will stream your station.
3. In iCal create an event entry at the time you want to wake up.
4. Right (or Control) click on your wakeup event and select Get Info.
5. For "alarm" select Open File.
6. Now under Open File there will be a place to add the file to open. It will probably be some default entry (like iCal). Click on it will allow you to select "other." Then use the file dialog to select your playlist file.
Your Mac will wake you up at the appointed time. You don't need to keep iCal running. If you want to put you Mac to sleep for the night then there is one more thing you need to do. Open System Preferences to Energy Saver and click on the Schedule button. Check Start up or wake and set the wake up time to slightly before your iCal alarm time.

when you double click the circle buttom, and the little bar pops up from what you have been using... is it using data while being in there? is it a good idea to minimize evertthing out of there often so its not using more data ? or does it not matter?

Double click on list field in ALV grid control
Hello all,
I developed a report with a ALV grid control. I would like to move some functionality from marking a line and pressing a button in the status line to double clicking a specific field in the output list and execute a command there (i.e. double click on PO number and go to PO display TAC then). Can anybody provide some example coding for that?

Double click to open CSV and TSV in Excel 2013
We have someone (John Doe) that would like to open TSV (tab delimited text file) files automatically in Excel without using the import wizard.
Our goal: Basically the file is provided by a website (an export of data) and it downloads to the temp file location, then have it open in Excel automatically.
We have tsv associated with Excel, and excel opens. However it just goes to the beginning screen where you have to select a blank workbook. We never see that data opened into Excel. If we save the file,
open excel, tell excel to open the TSV we can go through the import wizard to open the data into a spreadsheet. But this is not our goal. :)
We know this can be done for two reasons. There is another employee (Jane Doe, no relation) that has this working according to our goal. She can even double click on a TSV and it opens right up into an Excel spreadsheet with the data parsed properly.
If we double click on a TSV file on John's computer it opens excel, but goes right to the option to open a blank workbook. None of the tsv data comes in. Unfortunately Jane does not recollect how this started working on her computer. I have compared
Excel settings and addins on both computers but am not finding a difference.
Second reason I know this can work. I used to have the same issues on my computer with CSV files. I would have to open a blank Excel, then have Excel open the CSV and go through the import wizard to configure the data parsing. For about 6-12 months
now I have been able to just double click on a CSV and it opens into an Excel spreadsheet with the data parsed properly. Unfortunately I do not recall ever doing anything to my computer to make this happen... Granted that could be a memory issue on my part.
Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.

Populate information when double click on the field name
I have this tree structure with the field names as shown at this picture.

I have never used method SET_USER_COMMAND (cl_gui_alv_grid) before so I do not really know its function.
However, you event handler FORM routine belongs to the old-fashioned fm-based ALV lists (e.g. REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY_LVC) so I doubt whether this will work together.
If you have define a column as HOTSPOT then this trigger the class event HOTSPOT_CLICK.
Correspondingly a double-click on the ALV grid triggers event DOUBLE_CLICK.

Saved text fields and check-boxes empty when 3D window activates
I've created Text Fields and Check-boxes in a pdf template, using LiveCycle Designer.
I create the 3D work in Reviewer, and use the pdf template during Export to 3D pdf.
Using 'Extend Features in Adobe Reader' the user can fill in the text fields, and click the check-boxes then save them with the pdf - just using Reader.
So far this is great!
The problem comes when the pdf is opened again and the 3D window (A3DR_3DFrame) activated.
All the completed fields empty!
This is not great at all!
I've did some tests and found that the filelds only clear if I include the Configs selection list box with the special name 'A3DR_Configs' in the template pdf. (A3DR_Configs lists the Configs stored in the 3D Reviewer file and the user can select the config from that list).
This is unfortunate, as the A3DR_Configs window is useful since it indicates to the user which 3D config is currently being viewed (ie the name of the current config stays highlighted).
Is this a bug that can be fixed or is there a workaround?

Double-click on text in dialog programming
Hi,
I have a screen on which I have created a TEXT button and I want to respond it to double click event.
I have selected the attribute 'Respond to Double click' and in the GUI status under F2 put the code 'PICK' and changed in the PAI logic of the program to process certain steps if 'ok-code = 'PICK'.
and it is working fine, when I double click the text button, the ok_code is 'PICK' and the req. steps are carried out. But the problem is, when I single click on the text button also, ok_code is becoming 'PICK' and the same steps are carried out. I want the text button to respond only to double click event not single click.
Pls. let me know how do I achieve it.

To best of my knowledge it is not responding to double click, it it responding to your first click only, then you continue clicking the second time by that time the control goes back to application server withinn which time no user actions are accepted until the control passes back to the presentaion server.
that is why we can not distinguish between single and double click.
try double clicking on SE38 DISPALY or CHANGE Buttons they also respond and it will not give you a message saying DON'T DOUBLE CLICK ME etc.
this is to best of my knowledge.

Let's assume all those names there work as it is.
The first "when trunc... " should show the date_popup item, but should be shown disabled; which totally happens, but only on the text field; I also need the datepicker to be void or something, and no popup be allowed to show up, something like: "('IP_CLOSED_DATE').parentNode.nextSibling.firstChild.href="javascript:void(0)", which can be used to not allow a popup be displayed.
The thing is, I've tried to add another parameter (as I've seen it is possible), including words like disabled, void, 0, etc... and none of them work. So I would like to know if anyone has encountered the same issue and has been able to solve it.
What I need, is not only the text to be disabled but also the popup.

From your report query, I can see that you column has to be read only when <u>trunc(ddc_delivery_date) <= trunc(sysdate)</u>. In this case you want those row's column to be a readonly text-field. So <b>we use a different API in those cases, i.e APEX_ITEM.TEXT instead of APEX_ITEM.DATE_POPUP</b>

Double click on subscreen field - EXIT_SAPMM06E_007
I have added a new field in a sub screen (SAPLXM06 0301 ) in ME42 transaction using exit 'MM06E005'.
Requirement is to call a transaction when user double clicks on this field. Function code can not be assigned in subscreen hence using sy-ucomm and will assign Function code F2 to the same. When ttry to define/modify the Pf-Status in PBO in exit EXIT_SAPMM06E_007 it gives error not to modify the same. In screen properties double click functionality check box is ticked for field but not working.
How this can be done.

Copy text fields and drop down menu fields
Hi,
Using LiveCycle Designer ES, I am making a simple form with some text fields and along with some drop-down menu fields. With the resulting pdf, I need for one to be able to select the appropriate selection in the drop-down menus. Then using cntl-a to select everything and then cntl-v to copy it into a text document. This approach will only copy the text fields and not what is showing in the drop-down menu field. Is there any way to solve this problem? The end users computer has limited tools and software cannot be installed on it.

I don't really know if the text field can be selected using Ctl+a, but if that is possible how about adding extra text field that is linked to pulldown menu?
If the usage of the PDF is only for copying, then I would make a formcalc or javascript to combine all the text into one text field so that user only need to copy paste one field.
