Double redirect instead of single why?
Hi everybody ,
when one of my forms is posted in my web application it calls the same action twice ( using command pattern). so the command is 'send-to-update' this gets done and processing continues. After processing I forward to another jsp. This doesn't happen though for some reason i just end up back in the same action. Anybody got any ideas why or how to solve this?
I did mean redirecting (forwarding) ciea the requestdispatcher.

JComboBox in JTable to activate when double-click instead of single-click
I like to know if it is possible to change the default behaviour of JComboBox within the JTable,
such that instead of single click on the JTable cell for the combo box's popup to appear, I double click on it instead.

Thanks.I couldn't get to settings because I couldn't scroll and don't know where that is located. I just saw a similar question from someone else. Three clicks on home button worked to turn off voiceover !! Phew!

Making the Dock require Double-Click instead of Single
Is there a way to make the Dock require a double-click instead of a single-click to open applications. It would be great if the single-click would still focus the desired application. The prevents users from accidentally opening potentially large programs.
Sorry. I meant that if an application is already open the single-click should focus it (bring it to the front) which is the current behavior.
It is two easy to open applications. I have IDE's on the dock that take a lot of resources to start and I find myself accidentally opening them when wanting to open Textedit or a terminal. A double-click would allow the user to correct after the first click thus not opening the wrong application. -
Need Double quotes instead of Single quotes in output XML version header
In XML output generated by XDODTEXE executable, its observed that header row looks like this:
<?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
It should look like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
Browsers like IE deceive. Opening the XML in Text editors show single quotes and spaces.
Data Template and XSL template files have proper headers with double quotes.
The output XML file is rejected by a Government Authority as parsing the header line fails.
Are there any ways to configure this?I dont know if this has anything to do with my problem or not, but I thought I should add this:
When a user is filling out the form that has the textarea, they put whatever text they want into the textarea field.

Then, they click on a 'Continue' button and the system shows them a preview of what they are about to have inserted
into the database.
Within the code on this preview page is a hidden field, which holds the contents of their textarea data so it can be
passed on through the process once the user verifies the preview.

Double click instead of single click
recently like a month ago i started noticing when i ried to open a new tab in firefox or close,i opened two new tabs or close two tabs then i found out it wasn't firefox is that when i single click on something i guess ny computer recognizes that as a double click and that's what it does,it double clicks on the icon,video or whatever i click on,can anyone tell me how to revert this to its default configuration,by the way i didn't mess with it or tried to change it or what ever,most of the times it double clicks on anything but not all the time
@karantani: exactly as cfr said: it happens after some time and without any warning. If you're not sure just try another mouse. 5years is hell of a lot for a mouse if you use it on everyday basis for many hours. I even had this on new Logitech mouse just after couple of months (they're all doing just shit nowadays, I miss days of old heavy, robust keyboards and mouses, of electronics like Walkman - it was some nice engineering, everything was working just fine for many, many years. Right now your lucky if product will hold it's planned obsolescence). There is a lot you can do, I fix mine by sticking piece of paper to lift badly designed buttons, but in many cases switches just have enough.

The ! shows up because the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window has lost the connection to the file it represents. There are two main reasons why this occurs: database coruption and/or User Activity in the iPhoto Library Folder - in this case your Party Library.
1. Hold down the abbpe and option keys and launch iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild the database.
2. Have you renamed, altered or moved anything in the Party Library Folder?
As for the mulitple versions of photos: Your Party Library (or any Library) is arranged as follows:
In this folder there are various files, which are the Library itself and some ancillary files. Then you have three folders
Originals are the photos as they were downloaded from your camera or scanner.
(ii) Modified contains edited pics, shots that you have cropped, rotated or changed in any way.
This allows the Photos -> Revert to Original command - very useful if you don't like the changes you've made.
(iii) Data holds the thumbnails the the app needs to show you the photos in the iPhoto Window.
So each version of the Image has a distinct role to play. To distinguish them in a Spotlight search, use file size - the tiny ones are your thumbnails etc.
Your Camera names the files. Some Cameras have a setting which allows them to sequentially number across cards. You can also use titling in the iPhoto Window to distinguish them (Photos -> Batch Change) and some people copy the pics onto their machines first, rename them with a batch renamer and then import them into iPhoto.
The book is simply a virtual album of photos and is part of the library6.iPhoto file.
As to your plan of moving and patching things up... It is strongly advised that you do not move, change or in anyway alter things in the iPhoto Library Folder as this can cause the application to fail and even lead to data loss. SO try rebuild the database first.

All websites redirect to a single site
I am hosting 6 different sites on an Xserve w/ 10.4.8 on it. Except for the 2 sites that have SSL certs, all of the sites have IP = Any selected in Server Admin. When I to one of these sites from offsite, they all redirect to a single site. (Locally everything is working fine... Connecting to the sites using an Internal IP - 192.168.1.x) I can't figure out why when accessing the server from offsite do things break.
Since all virtual hosts are running on 'Any' IP address, the differentiating factor that apache uses is the hostname.
The hostname of the URL you access remotely has to match exactly the hostname as configured in your site's configuration.
I'm not sure how/why you say it's working when you access by internal IP address - if you enter the IP address in your browser, there is no corresponding hostname, so Apache can only serve the default site.
That leads me to believe there's something unusual in your sites configuration. -
Is there whole list of reminders instead of single items reminders?
I love the based location reminders on iOS. But i was wondering if ... example: I make a grocery list I add eggs and milk and juice to my list. I want to be reminded of this list when I arrive at Giant Eagle. Instead on single items notifications coming up.. I would like the whole list of eggs, milk and juice to pop up when I arrive at location. Please let me know your thoughts and ideas and possibilities.

With regard to "live text", I don't know what that is off the top of my head. However, I never leave text in a file; I always expand it. My work is almost always extemely basic, consisting of ordinary shapes and compound paths. I can think of one exception where I had to do curved gradients which faded from black to transparent; which I did in CS3. I had to go all the way around Robin Hood's barn to make that work, and I can't even remember exactly how I did it (though I have the process written down somewhere). The first hurdle was making a gradient conform to a very specific shape and match a very specific curve, and the second hurdle was making it fade to transparent rather than to a solid color (CS3 has no built-in functionality for that; i.e., no "transparent" swatch in the gradient controls like Photoshop has). So that may not have been possible in version 8 or whatever.
So given that version 10 (the oldest version that I've tried) had no zoom/scroll with the mouse wheel, I'm guessing that no previous versions (like version 8) did either? Unfortunately, that would be a major handicap for the way I work.
I tried CS4, and maybe there is something to the claim or superstition that the even-numbered releases are better. It doesn't have the issues that CS3 has (i.e., it doesn't freeze when exiting nor does it add redundant and unnecessary additional anchor points when doing certain operations like "offset path"), and it doesn't have the issues that CS5 has (i.e., no unresponsive shortcut key combinations and none of the double-click nonsense that I mentioned).
So I can live with CS4 I think (assuming I don't run into any new surprises). I'd like to try version 8 too because I hate software bloat. -
JSlider using double values instead of INT
I need to create a slider that uses double values instead of ints...
the default constructor is JSlider temp = new JSlider(JSlider.HORIZONTAL, int, int, int)....but i need to use

That's correct. Unless you can magically unlock your 4S, you can't sync it. It's broken. Had you been using the phone properly, you would have been synching it frequently and would have had a recent backup from which to restore your iPhone 5.

Doubt - mouse double click invokes both single and double click

I added mouse listener to a java component. In the mouseClicked() method, I have implementation for both mouse single and double click. When I try to double click that component it invokes the single click method first and the it invokes the double click method. My problem is when I try to double click that component it should invoke my double click method alone not single click too.

Sangeetha JYour problem: a double click is two single clicks. The first click will always fire a single-click event. How's the computer supposed to know that another click is to follow?
All I think you could do is to instantiate a timer in the one-click method, set to whatever amount of time you think a double-click should take. If you get a second event while the timer's still active, it was a double-click and you can stop the timer and do the double-click action. Otherwise your timer should execute the single-click action after it timed out.
But this will make your GUI look like it's responding slowly to single-clicks. -

Converting a pdf with double-pg spreads to single-pg spreads
I created a pdf from an InDesign file to have facing, double-page spreads. Now, I no longer have the InDesign file and need to change my pdf from having double-page spreads to single pages. Is there a way to do this? Thanks!
I've done this when I have created a ledger-size factsheet or newsletter for print, then needed to create a letter-size version for availability on the web. Start with the spread that contains the page which you would like to appear first. Extract it and name it as a new file. Crop the page from the side that contains the portion of the double-spread that you don't want to appear. [You can save on file size if you delete graphic elements on the side which you are cropping.] Then go back to the original PDF and bring over the page which should come second, crop it, and so on. When all finished, be sure to "Save As..." in order to minimize file-size.

What would cause double letters with a single key stroke while adding information to Calendar? Version: 10.10.2 wireless keyboard 27" iMac 3.4 GHz i5. Have restarted computer, have closed/opened Calendar, switched on/off keyboard and taken batteries out/in of keyboard. The problem only happens while typing in Calendar.
Not sure if I am accidentally hitting an unknown key to cause the problem or if it is a Calendar issue.........paulTry changing System Preferences/Keyboard/Keyboard/Key Repeat to a slower setting. Test.
