Double spaced address in Word in Office 365 (Word 2014)

I am trying to print an envelope. My brand spanking new Office 365 insists on double spacing the lines in the envelope address. There do not appear to be formatting options in the Envelope popup screen. Any idea how to correct this? Step by step instructions
would be nice.
What fool made double space the default setting for this field?

Hi,
Do you mean the Delivery Address field in the Envelopes and Labels window?
Did you hit Enter when you want to change to a new line? If so, please try to hit Shift + Enter when you want to change the line.
If you want to make the change permanently, you need to change the Paragraph settings first and make the paragraph settings as default. See a same issue discussed here:

Hope this helps.

  • Outlook 2013 Not Responding and Offline Address Book Issues with Office 365

Around 3 months ago I setup a small business with Office 365 for email. They have 10 PCs, all running newly installed Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, eight with Office 2013 and two with Office 2010. All are connected to a local domain (Server Essentials
2012) with a single internet connection through a new TP-LINK router. Each user logs into their own PC only.
The network runs perfectly, internet connection is good but there seems to be RANDOM, INTERMITTENT issues with email not being SENT from Outlook every so often. Email will sit in the outbox for up to an hour sometimes before, eventually, being sent. Incoming
email seems ok, although this is more difficult to tell. At others times, email will be sent instantly - the size of the message and any attachments makes no difference.
The issue has happened at some point on every one of the PCs but no particular PC/user seems worse than any other. When email is stuck on one user's PC it can still be sent ok by other users at the same time - so the internet connection is not down. Users can
can always login to the OWA service ok and iPhones etc. all sync ok even when email is stuck in the Outbox.
To debug the issue I have worked on one particular user's PC and carried out the following changes -
    Changes that made no difference
I have checked the router. A SPI firewall is available on the router but this is switched off.
I have changed the MTU on the router with no effect.
There are no unsual add-ins to Outlook
Outgoing email virus scanning is disabled
Outlook is NOT integrated with Lync
The OST file is around 1.7 GBytes is size.
I have recreated the Outlook profile twice but this made no difference
Switched OFF "Cached Exchange Mode" - this made things worse !
The Outlook address book is set to \Offline Global Address List
I have disabled with Windows firewall on the client PC - no change
I have adjusted the KeepAliveTime for packets in the registry of the PC to 20 minutes
Changes that reduced the frequency of "Not Responding"
I have changed the Outlook automatic Send/Receive time from 30 to 10 minutes - this seemed to help
    Possible Related Problem
I have attempted to download the offline address book manually - this hangs at "Copying offline address book template file" in the Send/Receive dialog and there a NO OAB files in the data file location on the PC.
So the only measure that has so far "helped" has been the Outlook Send/Receive time change - now set to 10 minutes. Even so, Outlook will occasionally go "Not Responding" for 30 minutes or more (no windows active - only option
is to close and reopen Outlook).
There does seem to be a problem with the Offline Address book. I can download this ok for this user on my home PC (Outlook 2010) but this will not download manually on the work pc with Outlook 2013 (despite following all the debug steps above).
On work PC I can see literally hundreds of "Schannel" errors in the Windows System event logs -
    Error - Event 36888 Schannel
The following fatal error was generated :10
The internal error state is 10
These errors occur every 2-4 minutes continually all the time Outlook is running. When Outlook is closed the "Schannel" errors stop !
Can anyone suggest what else to try, please ?
I have already investigated this issue on the Office 365 Community Forum, and the Outlook forum and they suggested that it was a client (i.e Outlook) issue and that I should post here for further information.
    Thanks for reading !

    An update to this problem.
I brought one of the office PCs back to my home network and connected it up there. With no changes to the PC I was immediately able to download the Offline Address Book without errors.
This suggests to me that there must be some problem with the internet connection or router setup in the office environment.
The router is a TP-LINK W8970. The internet connection is PPPoA. I have seen some suggestion that an SPI firewall can cause issues. This router has an SPI firewall but this feature is disabled on the router.
While investigating this issue I have frequently been connected remotely to an office PC - sometimes for up to an hour or more. During these periods I have not experienced any connection dropouts so the actual internet connection seems to be ok (i.e. it is
    not dropping out).
However, something seems to be preventing the Outlook client from connecting properly with the Office 365 Exchange server in the office environment - or something is dropping the connection to Outlook. Does anyone know of any router settings that might affect
    this ?
I could try changing the office router but I do not have a spare available. Can anyone suggest a reasonably low cost, currenbtly available router that they know definitely works in the Office 365 environment so that I could buy this for test purposes ?

  • Creating Distribution List and Member in Office 365

    Hi Guys,
My requirements is to write the .Net web-service through which i need to creating the below in office 365 programmatically. Can anyone suggest which way to go. I know there are Rest Web service for it but i need to know whether we can do it through Office
    365 API's.
    1) Distribution List
    2) Member

You cannot create or modify distribution lists in the Global Address List via the Office 365 APIs. You would need to use PowerShell cmdlets to do this.

    Hi,
You must have read this thread:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/9773a7c4-29a8-48ff-9d16-e1ca4c478610/excel-2013-microsoft-excel-can-not-open-or-save-anymore-documents-because-there-is-not-enough?forum=officesetupdeploy
To detail the steps, please do as I describe:
    Important
This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the
registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry,
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Back-up-the-registry
To open the Registry Editor, please press Win + R, type regedit in the blank box, press
Enter. / Or we can type regedit.exe in Windows 8.1 Search, you'll find it easily.
Now the Registry Editor is open.
Then we see the pane on left, expand the following path:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
Then we can see a list on right, find Cache, right click on it, click
Modify..., under Value data, change the value to something like
    C:\Windows\Temp, click OK.
    Exit Registry Editor.
As for "You might also right click on the file with file explorer, choose Properties, then General tab and click on the Unblock button." Just find the file, right click on it, choose
Properties, under General tab, if you see a
    Unblock button, click on it.
"Some of our customers found it sometimes a permission problem.
cmd  => dcomcnfg" Do the following:
Press Win + R, type in cmd in the blank box, press
    Enter.
In the new black-background window, type in dcomcnfg, press
    Enter.
Then the Component Services window will pop up, on the left pane, expand
    Component services -> Computes ->
My Computer -> Dcom config -> and select
Microsoft Excel Application, right click on it -> Properties ->
Identity tab -> Select The interactive user ->
    OK.
I hope I've explained the steps clearly.
    Good luck.

  • Office 365 unable to send mail with automatic address

    hi,
I am unable to send email from outlook 2013 (configured to office 365 exchange) it appears a message as "sorry something went wrong. you may want to try again"
I have configured a old pst file along with same outlook..
it can send easly with typing manually email address .
    please provide me the solution..
    regards
    [email protected]

    Hi,
Please first try to log into your OWA and check if you can send email using autocomplete address. If OWA works fine, it means the problem is specific to Outlook client.
If this issue only happen with single or several addresses, we can just delete the address by clicking 'X' after the address:
If this issue happen to all autocomplete addresses, there may be a problem with your autocomplete cache. We can rename the cache file to resolve the problem. You can refer to the following KB article for detailed steps:

    Hope this helps.

  • Office 365 (Word) and Onedrive comparability issue

I have successfully used MS Mesh / Skydrive /
OneDrive for years to sync my documents/PDFs folder between my desktop, laptop, phone, and iPad.  A month or so ago I purchased Office 365 and it caused all sorts of havoc in my Onedrive folder.  The thrust of the issue seems to
involve Office 365 and Skydrive getting in the way of each other while trying to keep the documents up to date.  As skydrive tries to upload changes to a folder with Docs in it, a few of the documents will not update (leaving the red mark on the document
icon instead of the blue check-mark showing it is up-to-date).  Office 365 share point will also give a list of documents that it was unable to sync (the list matches the trouble files in Skydrive).  Once this error hits a file, all of the content
for the document is zero'ed out (and the file size decreases to 0 KB).  Thankfully, thus far this has only caused me to lose data from old, unimportant files.  This morning I lost data from an important file, but I had a backup of it saved in my
    email.
I've tried a bit of my own trouble shooting.  At first I thought that the issue revolve around documents created in earlier editions of Word, so I created a folder in my Onedrive that was populated only with Office 365 Word documents, but this
    did not resolve the issue.
It seems as if this problem affects documents randomly.
My hunch is that it occurs when Office 365's sharepoint tries to update a file at the same time Onedrive is updating the file.
I also use the iPad app PDF expert to access my skydrive folder on the iPad (because I store PDF's in the folders as well), but I don't believe it to be the issue because: (1) it worked perfectly fine before I installed 365, and (2) the problem
with Onedrive and Office 365 persisted after I disabled PDF Expert's sync with the Onedrive.
Note: Office 365 worked fine until I used it to upgrade the version of Office installed on my computer.
I do not want to be forced to keep my Word documents separate from my Onedrive folder as I store numerous non-Word documents in my Onedrive folder as well and need to save them in folders with Word docs.
    Thank you.

    The solution is very simple.
You have to install Microsoft OneDrive from the Mac AppStore. It synchronizes your OneDrive folders to the Mac. Afterwards, you usually find a OneDrive folder in your Home folder. From there, you can access all files as usual. If you change any file, it will be synchronized in both ways (Mac to OneDrive, OneDrive to Mac).
I use this on a daily basis and have no problems with it.
    Have a nice day!

  • Word wrap not working in office 365

After the latest version upgrade to Firefox 28, word wrap functionality is not working correctly in office 365 owa. Email tries to compose all on one line. Have tried updating Java and resetting Firefox back to default settings.

Office 365 is an entire suite inlcuding outlook. Outlook Web App light version does work because the interface uses frames.

  • Mac Mail can't resolve Office 365 address adding account

I'm just putting this out there, I'm sure it will be addressed soon.
Just loaded up a VM or Yosemite on my Macbook Pro so I can start testing it for our network environment.  First major glitch - Mac Mail will not resolve an Office 365 email address and allow you to add the account to Mac Mail.  This is huge considering many of our clients are hosted using Office 365 for their corporate email.  Mavericks never had issues with this, hoping its a quick fix without the need of a work around.  Ironically using Outlook for Mac 2011 works just fine, which is pretty strange to me considering it still has to resolve outlook.office365.com for the server names in autodiscovery.
Lets go Apple....this OS looks great, don't make it your MSFT Vista!

Mavericks Mail has had problems with Exchange. Many have been resolved but at this time, Outlook for Mac is a better Exchange client than Mail from reports that I have seen.
I'm trying a trial of Rackspace Exchange Email wondering if its Office 365 specific.
How are you pointing your MX & cname setting to two different services?
You said another user was able to setup. Is there any difference in OSX and email client. Compare settings.
    What error are you getting.

  • Office 365 (Word) Onedrive integration on a Mac

Friends, I have recently started using a Mac computer. I've been trying to understand how does the integration of  Office 365 (Word)  and Onedrive work on a Mac, yet had no success so far. These is the problem:
When using Office 365 (Word) on a Windows computer, whenever I wanted to open or save a file I was asked if I wanted to open or save it locally or on my Onedrive folders. The integration of Word and Onedrive on a Mac seems very poor, unless I am missing something here. On a Mac it seems that once I start Word, if I want to open a Onedrive file I have to go out of the application to do it. I have to go to the Onedrive folder where my file is located and then open it, which will result on Word opening it. Is there any way to, just as in a Windows environment, open and save files to Onedrive without having to leave Word?
Hope someone can help me here.

  • Office 365 installed, can't choose Word 2007 as the default program for docx and doc files

I have a client who just installed Office 365 on his Windows 7 PC. He still has Office 2007 installed. He's struggling with the changes in Word 2013 and wants me to uninstall Office 365. I thought I'd just set the default program association for .docx and
.doc programs to Word 2007 but that doesn't seem possible. I can choose Default Programs, Associate a file type etc., and find the .docx extension. The current default is Word (desktop). I highlight the .docx extension and choose Change Program. The older
version of Word isn't listed so I click Browse and find Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\winword.exe. Click OK, OK, OK, etc, but .docx files still open in Word 2013. The Default Program applet evidently sees all versions of Word as the same and refuses
to change the association. How do I accomplish this ridiculously simple task?

Fixed. Used a great little app from NirSoft called
FileTypesMan. The built-in Windows utilities are getting worse by leaps and bounds.

  • Address book not syncing with Office 365

I use Office 365 as my primary work email. I have elected to sync my Office 365 address book with my MBA running 10.7.
Most of the time it works OK, but I often get an error sign next to the Office 365 group in the Address Book. The error generally says "Address Book cannot save the contact <name> to the Exchange Server and gives me the option to Revert to Server or go Offline.
If I elect to revert to server, the error goes away but sync still doesn't work. If I restart Address Book I get the same error with another contact.
Is there a way to validate the entire address book rather than having to continually restart the Address Book app?

Waiting was the key solution here!
After waiting aprox 2/3 hours it worked. Changed nothing...

  • I would like to change the spacing between the words for the product names, they look double spaced at present.

A simple question I think, I would like to change the spacing between the words for the product names, they look double spaced at present. On the home page, and product pages. Not sure where to change this in the css here is the site; http://top10shop.businesscatalyst.com

That site is using an old font technology called cufon, it uses canvas to draw the text into the font you want. Not really good for modern websites.
It is what the font was and how it was made. I never used Cufon but the documentation is here - Usage · sorccu/cufon Wiki · GitHub At a glance there are no render options for the double spacing so I am guessing it was how the font was generated.
I would scrap all of that completely tbh.

  • Email address missing from account info in Office 365 exchange console, unable to access inbox

    Hi
we have successfully migrated our on premise Exchange environment to Office 365. We came from a 3 domain environment and we are having some issues accessing accounts. I have tried to add the smtp:[email protected] address using ADSI Edit but after
DirecSync, I'm not able to locate this address on the account. is there a different way to add email address to Office 365 accounts?

I would recommend asking them in Office 365  forum: http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/default.aspx

  • Bypass Proxy for Local Addresses - Office 365 connection/ Outlook 2010

This is a strange one.  Connectivity to Office 365 within our netwotk works fine although very slow for outlook 2010 client to initially connect. Once connected, it works ok.  I have done a netwotk trace using netmon to see if i can identify
the reason for the slow startup (2 mins minumum for profile to load and for outlook to connect to exchange). The trace tell me that my local pc tries to make a direct connection to the office365 external IPs first, then tries the TMG proxy. Once it hits the
proxy, it kicks into life and works.
So it looks to me like it thinks the external IP address of office 365 is an internal address and spends it time trying all the ip addresses until it trys the proxy.  At this point, the
Bypass Proxy Server for Local Addresses is ticked.
As soon as i untick this box, all traffic heads directly to the proxy and of course it connects like lighting.  The exchange settings proxy is set in outlook for "on fast networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP" (tick
is on) and the same for slow networks.
I cant for the life of me work out why it tries to connect directly to the external IPs first and not connect via TMG until i untick the
Bypass Proxy Server for Local Addresses
Would love any ideas that may assist.

We have been in discussions with Microsoft over the last few days on this issue - which is seen with Outlook 2007 versions onwards.  Extract from resolution communication from Microsoft:
The issue you have raised is known as it has been reported and when you have a proxy set in Internet Explorer and “Bypass proxy settings for local addresses”, Outlook will attempt to connect to Office 365 directly – like the bypass rule would apply.
Because the direct connection is blocked in the Firewall, Outlook needs to have the connections going in Timeout before attempting to connect using the Proxy.
Your network trace proves the issue.
Microsoft have scheduled a fix for Outlook 2010 in February 2014 cumulative update. A fix for Outlook 2013 will also follow, but Outlook 2007 will not be addressed because it is in Extended Support.
There are two possible workarounds for this behaviour:
First, and I wouldn’t recommend it, is to allow Direct traffic through the Firewall to Office 365.
The advantage of this approach is that it will be done centralized and it will impact everyone immediately.
Information about the O365 IP addresses
There are two downsides to this behaviour:
    1.  First you need to maintain the Firewall exceptions as IP from O365 server can change without notice
    2.  Second, winhttp traffic may go through both proxy and direct and this can cause unforeseen behaviour.
The second approach is to use a proxy pac instead of manually setting in the proxy and the exceptions.
The advantage is that you will have centralized method to control how winhttp traffic goes and the issue will not be experienced anymore.
If a single pac does not be fit, you can configure proxy pac files for each site requirements and use an IIS server to store it.
