Doubts in BPM-- N:1 and 1:N scenario

Dear all,
I have a requirement where in some 10 files are placed at a location. The interface needs to consolidate/collated these files and generate a single file and send it to the target system after transformation.
The reverse process also needs to be done in some other interface. (Splitting a single file into 10 files)
After some analysis, I understood that BPM has to be used.
Please provide me with some useful blogs, which can directly solve my problem.
Thanks in advance,
Younus

Hi,
What kind of exceptions u want to raise.
1) its mapping related,
2) runtime exceptions
3) integration engine or adapter engine related.
there are two methods which will be used.
1) CCMS
2) Alert method.
U can inform the users through mail also.
Alert:
Alerts within XI give us a simple way to monitor only those errors that we want to and send alert messages to different people depending on the alert category.
Alert configuration is used to have the system inform you of errors during message processing.
By using the Alert Framework, central monitoring can be provided with all errors reported during message processing in ABAP and Java. This enables an improved reaction to such errors in both the ABAP runtime and the Java-based Adapter Engine. For this purpose, the Alert Framework is provided with rules based on certain events and on information from the header of the message protocol. These rules determine whether alerts are send or not.
Some of the examples are:
Specific Error Information from the Adapter Engine:
Container Element
SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_TYPE CHAR70 Adapter type
SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_ERRTXT CHAR70 Error text from the Adapter Engine
Look at the way by which u can raise an alert.
For raising an alert you need to first configure the alert please follow the below weblog written by Michal Krawczyk
/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/09/xi-alerts--step-by-step
Configuration steps are: go to transaction ALRTCATDEF
1) Define Alert Category
2) Create container elements which are used for holding an error messages.
3) Recipient Determination.
Alert can be triggered in different ways.
1) Triggering by Calling a Function Module Directly.
/people/bhavesh.kantilal/blog/2006/07/25/triggering-xi-alerts-from-a-user-defined-function
2) Triggering by Calling a Function Module in the Workplace Plug-In.
3) Triggering with an Event Linkage.
4) Triggering with the Post Processing Framework (PPF) or Message Control (MC)
5) Triggering from a Workflow.
6) Triggering from CCMS with autoreaction.
7) Triggering from BPM.
/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/03/13/alerts-with-variables-from-the-messages-payload-xi--updated
/people/community.user/blog/2006/10/16/simple-steps-to-get-descriptive-alerts-from-bpm-in-xi
8) Triggering alert by configuring a rule from RWB.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/56/d5b54020c6792ae10000000a155106/content.htm
used only for raising Adapter and Integration engine ralated errors.
U can also go for CCMS method:

  • Doubts on BPM

Hi, one of my clients has deep interest in BPM.
He'd like to manage processes over different system like IBM-Machines, SAP-Systems, simple File-Server etc.
These processes should be controlled via SAP XI, especially via BPM (BPE).
But i have some doubts if it is really that simple like u read in SAP-Description.
I have no experience on that issue so can someone who has deep knowledge of BPM give me his opinion on this topic?!
    br Jens

    Hi,
If its for a client you need to present BPM usages with a high level example, which involves   different system. As you mentioned  (IBM-Machines, SAP-Systems, simple File-Server etc.).
So better have a look at the documentation and there are some good blogs on BPM with advantages and limitations.
Please have a look at below links,

  • Oracle BPM Enterprise Standalone and Active MQ

  • "Oracle BPM  Suite 11g" and "Oracle SOA Suite 11g" components

    Dear Friends,
I am very confusing about the "Oracle BPM suite 11g" and "Oracle SOA Suite 11g" and would like your help on explanation as the following :
I have learn that In order to use "Oracle BPM Suite 11g" require to have "Oracle SOA Suite 11g" components to install first. Does it means that :
    1) When we buy "Oracle BPM Suite 11g" , we automatically get the "Oracle SOA Suite 11g" components as well ?
    2) IS it correct that these " these Oracle SOA Suite 11g components" are included :
    (a) Oracle BAM
    (b) Oracle Business Rules
    (c) Oracle BPEL Manager
    (d) Oracle Service Bus
    (e) Oracle Complex Event Processing
    3) Do we have a right to use all of these components listed in (2) ?
    4) Then the answers in (3) is "YES", then Is it correct when the customer buy the "Oracle BPM Suite 11g" , they no need to buy "Oracle SOA 11g" any more when they would like to implements that applications based on SOA in the future (without using BPM) ?
    5) What IF , the customer would like to start with "Oracle SOA Suite 11g" product and decide to buy only Oracle SOA Suite 11g first ; then later on in the future they would like to implement BPM projects in the future. Can you upgrade "Oracle SOA Suite 11g" to include "Oracle BPM Sutie 11g" and pay only the price different ?
I hope you can help providing the answers to these questions. THank you very much in advance.
    Best Regards
    Pearapon S.

This is a question best answered by your Oracle reseller or Oracle account manager to give you all the details but I hope this brief answer helps:
    - The Unified Business Process Management Suite (BPM Suite 11g) includes: BPM Studio, BPM Composer, BPMN Service Engine and Workflow Extensions, BPM Process Spaces, and BPM Process Analytics.
    - BPM Suite 11g requires the licensing of SOA Suite 11g for Oracle Middleware which requires a license for WebLogic Suite.
    - You can license SOA Suite 11g now and license BPM Suite 11g later.
Since the products are layered, I don't see this cutting into SOA sales at all. My personal view is that BPM on top of SOA is brilliant since it provides easy integration between human and automated tasks, builds on many of the SOA concepts that are key for a successful BPM implementation (functional, not the Oracle product), and uses the same IDE. The synergies extend past easy use of services; the same business rules and human workflow components are used between both products.

  • Doubt about diference between SAPconsole and SAPmobile

    Hello,
I have been many doubts about diference between sapconsole and sapmobile, if anyone could help me I appreciate.
    1) I have ECC6 instaled, the SAP Mobile is compatible with ECC6 or I need of Netweaver Instaled ?
    2) If Possible to Install Sap Mobile in ECC6 , I have to Buy a license of sap mobile ?
    3) in any product instaled Windows CE have possible to install sap mobile ?
    4) In sap console what is the requirement for to do this configuration?
I Anybody to know about this informations please explain for me ?
    Thanks

    My apology,
The Basic Diference beteween SAPConsole and SAPMobile is :
    SAPConsole ==>
1 ) Don' t need a new Hardaware for to configurate
2 ) Only need a Machine with the IIS service installed
3 ) The SAPGui CD content the SAPCOnsole.exe for configuration
4 ) The equipment like Pocket and datacolletor has been to configurated in a Network( but if to have a entrance in the SAPGUi indicate a SAProuter in another factory is possible to have acesses.. ) is a mandatory. Cause the SAPCOnsle folow the SAPGUI entrances and need a LAN or a WAN configurated.
    Advantage
    simple to congurated and chip.
Easy to create to new window cause the SAPConsole only plubish this window in Browser.
    Disadvantage
Need a lincense for each Poket or Datacolletor, wherever the equipment you will use.
Doesn't have a Database  using through Browser (IE6 or IE7) this way , during the processes lost network you go to lost the information not saved.
    SAPMobile
1 ) Need the a good Machine  with a instance of SAP configurate
2 ) Have to found the EXE in the MarketPlace
3 ) is not publish, and yes a client with the database configurate in equipment
4 ) The equipment like Pocket and datacolletor has been to configurated in a Network
    Advantage
Need only one SAP License, doesn't metter how many equipment  in use you have.
As the SAPMobile has a Database in the client , if you lost the network it goes to save in the local database and when the network come back , it will to synchronize. This way you don't need to work online every moment, you get to synchronize after.
    Disadvantage
You profit in license is your lost in the Machine cause the price of Machine is expensive.
is configurate only in windows Mobile.
The window only can be create for a Developement and not in the SAP, have been created in windows Mobile.
A tip, the both is good but you can do a simple mathematics.
In the SAPConsole how much money you go to spend is the least of the Machine s Price.
If yes confurate the SAPConsole , if not configurate the SAPMobile

  • How to club the downpayment and periodic billing scenario in Sales Order

    Hi experts,
Could you please let me know how to club the downpayment and periodic billing scenario in Sales Order.
Requirement is :  If you have 10 lacs total amount and out of that 50% should be the downpayment and rest of the amount should be distributed among three equated  instalments for 2 months each (periodic billing). This should work with one line item in sales order. Pls provide relevant inputs how to work out this scenario.
    Your help would be appreciable.
    regards....Diwakaran

    Hi Yang,
Workflow is the best approach for any issue related to business objects.
Since you want call FM BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE, it will change SO. It means everytime any SO is changed there will an event being triggered.
    object type: BUS2032
    event: Changed
    simple solution:
    1. Please create object type (SWO1) and its super type should be BUS2032.
    2. Add your own method and attach your custom FM which actually updates the qty & PR)
    3. Create Task (PFTC_INS)
    in basic data:
    - provide object type which you have created
    - provide method which you have added
    goto triggering events tab
    - Choose Object Category as BOR object type
    - provide object type (better give BUS2032)
    - provide event as CHANGED
Please have look into very nice video blog which helps you to create your workflow.

  • Clarifications on EBP-SUS and MM-SUS Scenario

    Hi !
We are planning to implement EBP-SUS and MM-SUS in one Client . Request you to help us on the following issues.
    1. While the outbound messages will not have a problem from MM & EBP, how do we route inbound messages to MM & EBP effectively. Should be handle it in XI ?? If ues, what is the best criteria .
    2. Since both the config guides for MM-SUS and EBP-SUS scenarios include transactions for transferring Vendor & Comapny Code data, how do we check duplication. For ex : if we transfer a Vendor from R/3 and subsequently try to transfer the same vendor from EBP , is there any inbuilt duplicate check ?
    3. In MM-SUS, an ASN created in SUS creates an inbound delivery is created in MM. What would happen in case of EBP-SUS i.e when an ASN is created for an EBP PO ? We are on extended classic scenario ?
4.If you do a confirmation in EBP-SUS, will a GR be generated in both EBP and subsequently in MM.
    Request yr help pl.

  • Difference between Snapshot scenario and non cumulative scenario

    Hi,
Can any one please tell me the difference between snapshot scenario and non cumulative scenario in
    inventory management.
Also please give example. I read the pdf " how to handle inventroy management scenarios", but can any one please give some easy to understand examples.
    full points guaranteed-

    hi,
In Non-cummulative method your stock movements are stored in the cube (inflow and outflow of NC KF) and the Total stock is calculated during query execution. Hence if there are lot of movements in the stock for the period you want to report on, query will take long time to execute.
In case of Snap shot scenario Stock movements are not loaded to cube. you use ODS to load the status of the stock and then from ODS you can load to Cube once in a month. So only summarized data will be availabe in Cube. Reporting will be fast.

  • ISE admin , PSN and monitoring node fail-over and fall back scenario

    Hi Experts,
I have question about ISE failover .
I have two ISE appliaces in two different location . I am trying to understand the fail-over scenario and fall-back scenario
I have gone through document as well however still not clear.
my Primary ISE server would have primary admin role , primary monitoring node and secondary ISE would have secondary admin and secondary monitoring role .
In case of primary ISE appliance failure , I will have to login into secondary ISE node and make admin role as primary but how about if primary ISE comes back ? what would be scenario ?
during the primary failure will there any impact with users for authentication ? as far as PSN is available from secondary , it should work ...right ?
and what is the actual method to promote the secondary ISE admin node to primary ? do i have to even manually make monitoring node role changes ?
will i have to reboot the secondary ISE after promoting admin role to primary  ?

We have the same set up across an OTV link and have tested this scenario out multiple times. You don't have to do anything if communication is broken between the prim and secondary nodes. The secondary will automatically start authenticating devices that it is in contact with. If you promote the secondary to primary after the link is broke it will assume the primary role when the link is restored and force the former primary nodes to secondary.

  • Difference between Classic Scenario and Extended Classic Scenario

    Hi Expers,
    I need your help again........:-)
I just want to know what is the differne between classic and Extended Classic Scenario.
    Points will be rewarded
    Thank you
    sam

    Hi Sam,
    (explaination frm a previous thread)
    Difference between scenarios
WIth classic scenario, the SC following document is to be created in your R/3 backend(s). Thus you can get an PO, a PR or a stock reservation in R/3.
With extended classic the following document is to be found in SRM itself. Thus from a SC item you can get a complete PO, an incomplete PO or depending on your customizing a Sourcing cockpit (now called Sourcing Application) requirement. Additional FM are called when you tick the box "Enable Extended classic" in the IMG activity, enabling you to get a local PD.
If you need to get a stock reservation in R/3 with extended classic, you will have to switch back to classic scenario for the particular category or product with a dedicated BADI ("Control extended classic ").
Be aware that with extended classic, the PO created in R/3 is not exactly a replication. That is a "copy" with that crucial difference that the SRM PO will use a different Purchase Organization that of R/3. It enables you to centralize your purchasing. In SRM you can create a "local" Purch. Org for EMEA zone for instance while in R/3 that is rare you can purchasing above a country (because in the backend you have to produce legal documents related to one company). Those "local" (=SRM) Purch. Org. are required to enable extended classic and it makes simpler Contract management for instance (in classic scenario contracts may need to be replicated to your R/3 back end and adjusted for each back end and each Purch Org in R/3, and even for each plants).
In a nutshell with extended classic you have a PO in SRM, and this PO is assigned to a different Purch Org that of R/3. Purch Org in R/3 are determined on the basis of the "LOcation" (R/3 plant you have replicated from your backent into SRM).
Extended classic is required for service purchasing when you want your requesters to be able to adjust the PO price while they can not access R3. In extended classic, PO is issued from SRM and not from R3.

    In simple terms:
    A2A:
Integration of internal company processes by seamlessly connecting SAP and non-SAP applications.
    B2B:
    Integration Outside the organisation.
For B2B integration u need to use the third party adapters, for example seeburger As2,X400,OFTPS etc.

  • Tightly and Loosely coupled scenarios

    Hi Experts,
Could you please provide a example for Tightly coupled and Loosely coupled scenarios from SAP Platform?
How to do the below scenarios from SAP platform?
    1. Tightly coupled (Non-SOA):
Business Services : I have to create RPC encoded style webservices.
Business Process : I have to call other platform RPC encoded style webservices (More than 2 webservices).
    2. Loosley coupled (SOA):
Business Service : I have to create Document literal style webserivces
Business Process : I have to call other platform Document literal style webservices ( More than 2 webservices)
Please provide the input to do the above scenarios from SAP platform and please inform me which tool/component I have to use do the scenarios.
    Thanks & Regards
    Sara

    Hi Sara,
Can you please elaborate your question in detail .
    1) Web Services are always examples of loosely couples architecture, either its document style or RPC style and whether you are creating WS or consuming WS.
Tightly coupled architectures were those whose business logic layer and presentation layer were tightly coupled and reusability or scalability was a problem
If you have user interfaces involved in your business process, then you should go for CAF( Composite Application Framework) to define a business process using VC, WebDynPro or Adobe Forms as UI.
If it doesn't involve any user interaction, then you can go for ccBPM of Netweaver-PI to automate the process.
