Doubts in packages........

package in.trial.use;
public class sample
public static void main()
when i run this program, it gives the following error
" Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: in/trial/use/sample"
i am running this program from in/trial/use directory... i am confused. this directory has some other classes and in my sample.java program i am trying to access some public fields in that. Can you tell me where i am wrong?

The package is simply not in your classpath. Make sure that if you have abc/in/trial/use, that abc is listed in your classpath. Or move to abc and run java -cp . in.trial.use.sample

  • Doubts on packages

    hi gurus
    i'm new to sap bw and new to sdn ,and i heard that sdn is a place where we can clarify our doubts very clearly
    i'm very much confusion abt info packages
    1)  suppose if u have full loads infopackage  , and then i want to change full load infopackage into delta ,is that necessary that i want to create seperate infopackage for for delta ,r can i create in the same package ...And wat are the option we do when we create infopackage ,give me really time scenario
    2) i heard that loadin data from MM is entirely differnet from SD,PP can i know where can i get this difference if u has any note on the extraction
    regards
    ram

    hi to alll
    thanx  to all for replying
    pushpa  my question that is that we have to create int delta on full infopackage r else  creating another infopackage  which  we give int and create for delta for that infopackage
    i'm still confused reagrding this   full,int ,delta package
    i'll appriciate if you explain me clear regarding this infopackage

  • Creation of package structure for ABAP proxy scenario

    Hi All,
    I have a doubt on package structure used for ABAP proxy scenario. What is the specific reason to create a four level package structure? Can some one please explain? Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sudheer.

    Hi Sudheer,
    Can you pls clarify what do you mean by 'four level package structure' ?
    Are you referring to the ABAP structures that get created during creating the proxy by SPROXY transaction ? These structures get automatically created. We simply have to write the code using these structures.
    Or do you mean the 'package' which is mandatory to create a transportable ABAP object ? i.e. transport from Development to Staging and then Production.

    hi kamala
    I check cas.log and datatransferservices.log and execmgr.log........as the package is sucessfully downloaded to DPs, which i matched with source folder and DP smspkgZ$ package size is same but , i am having doubt that
    package is downloading in client which you can check in cas.log with package ID C000121C entry
    but when im checking execmgr.log it show it is waiting for this particular package content
    but i hecked the dataTransferservices.log it shows every folder of package is downloaded.
    now is it possible that client computer is not abale to download complete package from dp to client computer
    will program run from DP work in this scenario ,because in our environment we are only downloading from DP then running the program setting is used.
    thanks in advance.

  • SAVE_STYLESHEET RC_6 error in ABAP proxy- CRM

    Hi,
    I developed a POC with just 2 fields in DT,for sender SOAP adapter and reciver ABAP proxy. It is running successfully.
    But when i developed a actual scenarios with big structure it is giving the following error.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
    - <!--  Call Inbound Proxy
      -->
    - <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="">
      <SAP:Category>XIProxy</SAP:Category>
      <SAP:Code area="ABAP">STYLESHEET_GENERATION_FAILURE</SAP:Code>
      <SAP:P1 />
      <SAP:P2 />

      <SAP:P4 />
      <SAP:AdditionalText />
      <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />

      <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
      </SAP:Error>
    The only difference in both cases is, i developed everything in client 120 for POC. For actual scenario i created proxy class in client 110 and Technical system and everyting is pointing to client 120. Is it causing any problem?
    Everyting is fine in XI but in CRM SXMB_MONI i can see the above error...
    How to solve this issue.

    i tired again.. i regenerated the proxy ... but still same problem..
    i dont think internal framework problem.. because it worked for other scenario ( test scenario). I think i only messed it up some where.. but i dont know how to find out  or how to debug the problem..
    I have  a doubt on package structure in which i am saving the proxy class.
    i created a structuer package( level1) for which i assigned SAPPINT and for all other packages( level2- main package,level3-non main package, level4-non main package)i assigend SAI_SXMS, SAI_TOOLS, SAPPINT. I am saving the proxy class in level4 package. I am not able to assing SAI_SXMS,SAI_TOOLS to structure package. Is it causing any problem???????
    any help please...

  • How does the Object Reference change in this code ?

    Hi Folks,
    This is my code :
    package assignments;
    class Value
         public int i = 15;
    } //Value
    public class Assignment15
         public static void main(String argv[])
              Assignment15 t = new Assignment15();
              t.first();
         public void first()
              int i = 5;
              Value v = new Value();
              v.i = 25;
              second(v, i);
              System.out.println(v.i);
         public void second(Value v, int i)
              i = 0;
              v.i = 20;
              Value val = new Value();
              v = val;
              System.out.println(v.i + " " + i);
    } // Test
    O/P :
    15 0
    20The output I expected was 15 0 15.
    If the value object created in the second() assigns the value 15 to variable v,why does v.i in the last sysout print 20 ?
    Thank you for your consideration.

         public void second(Value v, int i)
              i = 0;
              v.i = 20;
              Value val = new Value();
              v = val;
              System.out.println(v.i + " " + i);
         }There are two sources of confusion in this code:
    1) for clarity, you shouldn't name second()'s argument "v"; as pbrockway points out, this variable v is a completely different variable from first()'s "v" variable, it just happens to contain a reference to the same object as first()'s "v". Rename the argument to "v2" and it should clarify things (note: this is not a general recommendation, this naming is perfectly valid and makes sense, just not to you yet).
    2) You are assigning a new value (the reference denoted by "val") to the argument variable v. That is bad practice (even for seasoned Java developers).Although the Java compiler accepts it gladly, it brings confusion: it does change the value of the "local variable" v2, but doesn't change the value of the variable "v" in method first(), from which v2 was copied when invoking second().
    Indeed I've seen coding conventions that recommend to add a "final" specifier in front of method arguments, this way:
           public void second(final Value v, int i)
              i = 0;
              v.i = 20;
              Value val = new Value();
              v = val; // does not compile
              System.out.println(v.i + " " + i);
         }This way the compiler rejects the v=val assignment: if you want to do something similar to your previouscode, you have to introduce a new local variable, that is, local to second()'s body, and clearly unknown to first().
    Consider the new code after implementing my suggestions: does it clear the doubts?
    package assignments;
    class Value
         public int i = 15;
    } //Value
    public class Assignment15
         public static void main(String argv[])
              Assignment15 t = new Assignment15();
              t.first();
         public void first()
              int i = 5;
              Value v = new Value();
              v.i = 25;
              second(v, i);
              System.out.println(v.i);
         public void second(final Value v2, int i)
              i = 0;
              v2.i = 20;
              Value val = new Value();
              Value anotherValueVariableWhichDoesNotEscapeThisMethod = val;
              System.out.println(v2.i + " " + i);
              System.out.println(anotherValueVariableWhichDoesNotEscapeThisMethod.i + " " + i);
    } // Test

  • Downloading BP for ESS and PCUI

    Dear All,
    Has the file name changed on the Market place to download the packages .sca for ESS/MSS and PCUI.
    Previously the file for ESS were ESS and its patch was BPERP.. like...
    But now the file name has the only difference of P in it and the size is almost the same???
    Can somebody tell me the exact order to deploy the ESS??
    Regards

    Hi Huseyin,
    Thanks for the information.
    One doubt

  • Doubt regarding TEXT_IO package ???

    Hi,
    I recently came to know that TEXT_IO package can only be used in two tier architecture and cannot be provided in three tier architecture, is it true? and if yes why is it so? and is there any other alternative to get things done by three tier architecture???
    cheere...

    TEXT_IO package can only be used in two tier architecture and cannot be provided in three tier architecture, is it true?FALSE, if this means that TEXT_IO does not work in three tier architecture. TRUE, if this means that TEXT_IO can't read files from Client machine.
    See an extract from an Oracle article :
    Take the Forms TEXT_IO package. This package provides the programmer with facilities to read and write text files on the Application Server. WebUtil provides an alternative implementation CLIENT_TEXT_IO, which is identical to TEXT_IO except that calls are implemented on the client browser machine rather than on the middle tier.

  • Hi friends a doubt on Business package

    we have imported a BP (say version 1).after imported u can find some
    iViews in u r PCD. amoung this ,some iviews has been modified,
    now consider that u have again imported the same BP but this time
    the version is different (say version 2), when u have imported the
    latest version. it should not overrite the previous properties
    how u can do this?

    Hi Sunder,
       During BP installation ,as per the SAP guidelines it says that a backup of the Business Package has to kept in the local system because as we all know that evry fortnight a new version is out and replaces the older one.
    So as per my knowledge any new version will replace the whole content assuming it to be a new package altogether.Hence theres no method available in Portal to effect only some part of BP not affected...
    Generally the new version includes most of the iviews unchanged but only some extra features added ..Nytime u need the old one ,transport the old version from the dump .
    Thanks,
    Swathi

  • Doubt in Overloading Concept in Packages

    Hi,
    I have two Stored Procedures are inside a package
    sp_mem(mCursor REFCURSOR Datatype,MemberId INTEGER);
    sp_mem(mCursor REFCURSOR Datatype, mEmailId INTEGER);
    In the Above Procedures if the second Parameter is Member Id then the first SP will be executed.
    In the Above Procedures if the Second Parameter is MemEmailId then the Second SP will be Executed.
    This is the normal OverLoading Concept inside the package. But for me, i am returning the Recordset using a RefCursor.
    I just want to know it is possible for returning the recordset using ref cursor with the overloading concept for both the SP.
    Thanks,
    Murali.V

    Hello
    You need to be careful with this type of overloading. Overloading is generally based around the position and data types of the parameters being supplied which are used to identify the "signature" of the particular procedure to call i.e.
    sp_myproc(ref cursor, integer)
    sp_myproc(ref cursor, date)
    sp_myproc(ref cursor, varchar2)
    sp_myproc(ref cursor, varchar2, integer)
    etc etc
    When you have 2 procedures that have the same signature, unless you specify the name of the parameter, there is no way to determine which procedure to call:
    tylerd@DEV2> CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE pkg_test_overload
      2  IS
      3

  • I have one doubt on system global area while  executing packages

    Actually in package we store inter related objects together.
    the package contained subprograms will occupy memory in SGA
    when we calling subprograms which are present in the package.
    if occupy memory in SGA so the packages are how will give performence
    compare to the stand alone subprograms?
    and the data capacity SGA can store also reduces if subprograms occupy
    memory in the SGA. so it is some what degrading of performance.
    i want to know while executing subprogrms will these occupy SGA memory
    if occupy's the data capacity SGA can store also automatically reduced
    how package containde subprograms will give performance?
    If u know SGA role let me know?

    Hi MrHoffman, thanks for your reply!
    I know for a fact that the DNS is set to .local - it's the default one so I've never altered that. The changes that occurred seemed to happen after the recent apple security update was applied. If ".local" causes so much trouble is there a reason that it's the default? (I'm not that technically minded - it's just a wonder more than anything.)
    Upon closer inspection I can see that the hostname has had two hyphens added to it, where the spaces are in our business name. (Previously it was named without the spaces, just all typed as one word.)
    I guess that if there was a long delay in the DNS update then maybe it would account for the user suddenly being unable to connect/use the server.
    As for the users, I know where I can see the list of them, the thing is that previously there were only 4 in the list, now there's 85, including a new "System Administrator". It's functioning normally again, but I guess I was really looking to see if anyone else had seen the user list grow without prompting. If it's normal then that's totally fine with me, but as I say it freaked me aout a little when there are suddenly a bunch of new users on the list.
    Cheers again!

  • Doubt in Activity No assigned to Package Number

    Hii
    ME53N - T-Code..Under a Purchase Req. No there are many Services...A single service no/Activity(SRVPOS) may have more Pkg No(PACKNO)...
    how can i find a Service belongs to which Unique Pkg no??
    How this Package no is assigned to Activity/Service no??
    Thanks in Advance

    select PACKNO from EBAN, then for this packnumber, select subpacknumber from ESLL..
    For this subpacknumber, there will be entries in ESLL similar to service line present in PR.

    Now it looks like you've taken some more code from somewhere else but you haven't got the full thing.
    PLVdyn is not a built in Oracle package, so wherever you obtained the rest of the code would be a good place to start looking for the source for it.
    Of course, producing dyanamic PL/SQL is not really a good thing to do and makes applications a nightmare to debug and maintain. If you don't understand the basics then you really shouldn't be trying something so complex. Is this for homework like we thought yesterday or is it (scary thought) coding for a business contract you have obtained without the necessary skills?
