Dowloading data through client port

Heloo my name is Mruthyunjaya.
We are new to java client side programming.We have a problem and the problem is :
Our systems are connected in LAN i am running my jboss server in my system.
and accessing the pages from my system. all pages are running successfully but the problem comes when i am trying to run some programs
which involve downloading data into my device like spot billing machine.
how can i let my java porgram to identify my client port when i am running server on other system
Jboss server is running on other system and device is connected to some other system in lan and it is trying to download the data through that server irrespective of the port to which it is connected.

  • How to collect data and store data through printer port usind Dev'6i

    Hi,
    When we make a phone call through a PABX machine, the PABX machine print the call's detail if it is connect to printer. Let us assume, the PABX machine is connected via the printer cable with a PC at it's printer port. Now, the data sending by the PABX machine is reaching to PC's printer port, I would like to collect those data and store in a file(of any format) using Developer 6i. Is that possible? If yes, then how? Do I need to use any ActiveX control? Or is there any other way?
    Please Help me out. Thanks in advance.

    Dear Friends
    I also need a solution to this problem. But it may require sequance / format of information being sent by weigh bridge to the COM port. Normally the W/b company has their own format of information. We might have to change the COMP port speed also .e.g 9600 BPS, 2400 BPS etc.

  • Getting data through com port

    how can i understand that data is sent tome through a com port.
    i use dataavailable event but when i read the data iread just meanless codes and it can not be.
    i use javax.comm for my project..

    Hi
    You Must have a listener for your comm port e.g
    private class CommListener implements SerialPortEventListener{
    case SerialPortEvent.DATA_AVAILABLE:{
    while(true){
    try{
    ch = is.read();
    if(ch==-1)
    break;
    buf.append((char)ch);
    }catch(IOException ioe){
    System.out.println(buf.toString());
    }

  • URGENT: Capturing data through serial port

    Hi,
    My problem is with the use of javax.comm API. I have an RFID tag reader connected to
    the serial port. It is a handheld reader and reads tags when its trigger is pulled. The
    data that is read is sent to the serial port. This is what I want to capture.
    I tried to test the reading operation by running the SimpleRead sample. What I see is
    that I pull the trigger once to read 1 tag, but that generates 3 DATA_AVAILABLE events.
    The tag ID that is read is 16 bytes, preceded by a 3 byte AIM Identifier (that declares
    the following data was read from an RFID tag, and not a barcode which has different
    AIM Identifiers for the different symbologies - but I digress.) By inserting some println's,
    I was able to see that the 19 bytes of data are read 8 bytes at a time. The first 8 bytes
    are read on the first DATA_AVAILABLE event, the next 8 are read on the second event
    and the last 3 bytes are read on the 3rd DATA_AVAILABLE event.
    This is strange & not good for me. How can my application know that the data read in
    these 3 separate DATA_AVAILABLE events is to be concatenated to form a single
    tag ID? Why is the single trigger-pull & tag read operation broken up into chunks of
    8 bytes? Is there some configuration setting that will give me the behavior I want?
    (I cannot rely on the length of the tag ID being 16 bytes always, because the same
    reader will also be reading barcodes where the data may have varying length)
    Thanks for any help. This is really urgent.

    please use the [ code ]and [code ] tags for code.
    I don't think you have a problem with the code, it's more like understanding how to make it work.
    to make the read method return.You do not have a read() method.
    The code is behaving as it should.
    You need to use the SimpleRead class as a thread, add and remove the Serial port listener as needed.
    You read all data available, then send it to a method to parse the buffer.
    You can count how much data was read so you know how much to parse.
    I never used receive threshhold.
    Here is example (sample)of my serial port reader
    //SerialIO
       public void serialEvent(SerialPortEvent event) {
            switch(event.getEventType()) {
                  case SerialPortEvent.OUTPUT_BUFFER_EMPTY:
                break;
            case SerialPortEvent.DATA_AVAILABLE:
                this.dataManager.readData();
    //DataManager
    public void readData() {
         String str;
         int     bytes = 0;
         long endTime, now;
         try {
              while (this.owner.isComPortOpen
                   && (SerialIO.inStream.available() > 0)) {
                   bytes = SerilIO.inStream.read(this.buffer);
                   if (bytes > 0) {
                   if (bytes > this.buffer.length) {
                        System.out.println( ": Input buffer overflow!");
         **Here is where you parse your buffer
                   sendDataToParser(bytes, buffer);
              } catch (IOException ex) {
                   System.out.println( ": Cannot read input stream");
          * Stops the serialEvent listener
         protected void stopSerialEvent() {
              SerialIO.serialPort.removeEventListener();
              try {
                   Thread.sleep(2000);
                   flushInputStream();
              } catch (InterruptedException e1) {

  • SAP BPC 7.5 SP3 and Citrix Entering Data through BPC Client and Citrix

    Hello BPC experts,
    my client is using SAP BPC 7.5 SP3 in combination with Citrix. We are having problems now, while entering data through the BPC Client (installed on BPC Server) and the BPC Client (running on Citrix).
    When we enter data through the BPC Client (Server) and expand the sheet, we can only see the data that we entered through the BPC client (Server). When entering data through the BPC Client (Citrix), we can see only the data we enter through the BPC Client (Citrix).
    The database, however, saves both entries correctly. For test purposes we created a test report which shows both entries correctly in the BPC Client on the server and on Citrix.
    Does anyone have an idea what can be wrong with our system? We tried to create an EvDRE log File for this BPC version as well, but failed. Maybe one of you already did that and can help me with this.
    Thanks in advance!

  • I want to transfer data through the serial port in the same coding that hyperterminal uses. How can i do it?

    The serial port seems to be working, and labview seems to be sending the data, but the problem is in which format does it send the data, because in hyperterminal i just input the string "JDX" and it sends it to my device, with labview it sends something but my device does not recognize it.

    Hyperterminal adds the carriage return/line feed to the string which is
    generated by the return key to send out the current line. LabVIEW simply
    sends out what you tell it, so try to set the string to "Show \ Display"
    format and add a \r or \n or \r\n to the command you want to send out.
    Assumes of course that you set the right baudr
    ate/bits/parity etc in
    LabVIEW with the VISA property node, when opening the serial port.

    why does a standalone program created in Labview 8.5 try connecting to the internet when the program only reads data through the serial port? Firewalls object to progams that contact the internet without permission.
    The created program is not performing a command I have written when it tries to connect to the internet, it must be Labview that is doing it. How do I stop this from happening?
    Any help would be very appreciated.

    It looks that way..
    "When LabVIEW starts it contacts the service
    locator to removes all services for itself. This request is triggering
    the firewall.This is done in case there were services that were not
    unregistered the last time LabVIEW executed- for example from VIs that
    didn't clean up after themselves"
    This is not yet fixed in LV2009.

  • Getting SQL*Net more data from client waits when running a query through web based interface

    Hi, you all,
    We are having this weird behavior when running query through web based interface, we get a lot of "SQL*Net more data from client" waits, the OEM indicates that the current wait event is SQL*Net more data from client
    It's just a very simple query wich invokes a db link.
    When I execute the same query on any PL/SQL tool like toad or sql developer it works fine, but that query inside an application executed through a web based interface, it hangs for ever.
    Where can I start looking for the problem.
    We are working on a 3 Node RAC 11gr2, both databases are on the same RAC.
    Thanks.

    Hi ,
    we managed to reproduce the case in test environment, below are the steps:
    1)have 2 databases on different machines, will call the first one local, the other one remote.
    2)in the local database create:
    a - DBLink to remote database.
    b - read data from remote database(we simply used select count(*) from dummy_table )
    c - insert data into a table on the local database
    d - terminate the connection between the 2 databases (disconnect either machine from the network)
    e - commit on local database.
    what we noticed was the following:
    1)when the local database is disconnected from the network(the machine is not connected to any network at the moment): almost immediately throws an error, and issuing the following:
    select * from dba_2pc_pending;we found some data .
    2) when the remote database was disconnected(the local database is still connected to the network):
    after 7-8 seconds an error is thrown, and issuing the following:
    select * from dba_2pc_pending;did not return any data.
    since this is pretty similar to our case ,we concluded that it's a network issue.
    is this the correct behavior ?
    as a temporary solution till the network issue is fixed ,we did the following:
    1) changed the call of the remote procedure to calling a local procedure that calls the remote procedure.
    2) added pragma autonomous_transaction to the local procedure.
    3) at the end of the local procedure rollback the autonomous transaction.
    it seems that since the global transaction does not use the DBLink database does not issue a 2PC commit.
    this works in my cases since the DBLink is only issed to read data.

  • Use of Hostname for connectivity through client in 10g

    Hi,
    Can anyone please clarify the use of host name and DB name? I mean currently we are using Oracle 8.0.5 where clients are connecting to Database using the hostname for e.g "Dataserver"... but now we are planning to migrate our DB to 10.2.0.1 where in testing phase when we created database with same name i.e "Dataserver" oracle doesnt allow this as giving error that DB name cannot b same of host name... now i want to know is there any possibility in 10g that we can use host name for connecting to DB through clients?
    this question requires urgent attention as we need to migrate our database as early as possible.

  • Directory replication among DC through SSL ports

    We have a customer who has a requirement to secure AD replication among DC's through SSL ports. We have tried to convince them that replication that is happening follows kerberos authentication and data is in encrypted format, but still they are asking whether
    replication can happen through SSL port or not.
    Their requirement involves customization of AD which I am not sure if possible.
    Also if this is not possible they are asking for a technet article in relevance to that.
    Seeking for support!
    Regards,
    Ankur

    Hiya,
    The answer is no.
    The replication traffic itself is already secure, as it is performed using Kerberos, which is an encrypted protocol. Furthermore internal traffic between geographically dispersed sites should be done using VPN, MPLS or similar inclosed network protocol,
    which is also encrypted. DC replication traffic should be considered internal traffic and should only be performed on internal networks.(traffic on a VPN/MPLS is considered internal in that sense)
    So by default, when installing your DC's, the replication traffic between these DC's is already secure.
    DNS has no need for secure communications, it's a name to IP repository. If you don't want people to use your DNS, don't allow them to use it.
    LDAP can be changed to use LDAPS instead, however it requires client compatibility.
    Kerberos is by default a secure protocol. - And this is the protocol used for replication.

  • How do I access session data through an EJB?

    Hi
    How do I access session data through an EJB?
    I am currantly developing a Web service (using ejb's, JBoss.net and Apache Axis). A client making a call to this Web service, is expecting a bussiness-object in return. My problem is that this bussiness-object i stored in a users session data. How do I retrieve this bussiness-object from the users session.
    I have read that this does not work with httpsessions, is this true? If this is true, is it possible to store the bussiness object in a JavaBean e.g:
    <jsp:useBean id="userContextWebImpl" scope="session" class="com.ac.march.client.UserContextWebImpl">
    <%
    String key = "test";
    String value = "This is the value";
    userContextWebImpl.setValue( key, value1 );
    %>
    </jsp:useBean>
    and then retrieve this information through the EJB? Or is it possible to do this by using Statfull JavaBeans? Or can this be done through a nother solution?
    Please help!

    I have created a JavaBean with scope="application" to store some data. The data is stored when a user prefomes a spesific task.
    A different person then makes a call to a Web-Service on the server. The Web-Service then asks an EJB to retrieve the data stored in the JavaBean (servlet cotext). In other words: How do I retrieve this data from the EJB?
    I have tried with this code, but with no luck.
    (ApplicationContextWebImpl is the JavaBean)
    public static String getBookingResult( String key )
         String myResult = null;
         String myKey = key;
         ApplicationContextWebImpl applicationContextWebImpl = null;
         try
              applicationContextWebImpl = new ApplicationContextWebImpl();
              myResult = (String)applicationContextWebImpl.getValue( key );
         catch ( java.rmi.RemoteException e )
         return myResult;

    1) Wrong format, you wont get much support loading OLAP cubes in here I think.
    2) Has your CSV file been anywhere near excel by chance the conversion of 20071113121100 to 2.00711E+13 looks very much like what I see when Excel has an invalid number mask / precision specified for a cell.

    What do you mean, "not fixed?"  If there is no termination character, no start/stop character(s) or even a consistent data length, then how can you really be sure when the data starts and stops?
    I probably misunderstood you though.  Assuming the last case is not ture - there is a certain length to the data - then you should use the bytes at port, like in the otherwise disastrous serial port read example.  In this case, it's NOT disastrous.  You have to make sure that you read all the data that came through.  Right now you have no idea how much data you just read.  Also, if this is streaming data, you might want to break it out into a producer/consumer design pattern.
    Not fixed means order is not fixed, data from any com port can come anytime. lenght is fixed, one com port have 14 byte and other 8 byte fixed..
    Reading data is not an issue for me as it works nice but I have a query that why my application hangs after sometime and stops reading data from COM PORT.
    Kudos are always welcome if you got solution to some extent.
