What are the best animated clipart software for iMac to download either free or purchase? So far, what I found free always comes with a lot of virus warnings or other unrelated downloads. Please advice - I want to use it only for my home videos.

Reasonably priced animation software for iMac

I am retired and while not at all well off, I am appreciative of being in the position of not having to earn money any more.
I am currently absorbed in putting together several generations of family photos, movies and keepsakes in as interesting and historically as possible, using iMovie. Unfortunately, iMovie is ok for fairly mundane taskes, If you can overcome it's restrictive/protective baises and malfunctions.
Anyway, I am looking for a reasonably priced animation software to use as a general purpose interfacer for movies and stills and explanations were necessary.
I have spent hours searching and testing softwares but found most lacking in facilities of one sort or another. Enough to make them not worth taking up room on my computer. I have deliberately avoided high end stuff costing many hundreds of £/$. Especially Adobe. I find their software very difficult to even get started with.
Xara exteem pro 5 was my first choice but their animation software will not run on a Mach and in any case you cannot convert their Pro 5 animations to anything usefull format so I am stuck and pleeding for help.
Can anyone recommend a animation software for iMac with broard facilities, similar to Xara Extreme Pro 5. up to, say $200 ?

Recently I was looking to purchase both Muvizu and iClone5 software, but both are ONLY available on the windows platform.
Does any one know of excellent equivalents for Mac users?

Where do I download Adobe Flash for IMac?

Hello there folks.
New IMac today. Where should I download Adobe Flash/Reader from? Does Apple have an approved third party software download site? Do I just install from Adobe.com?

Thank you for your response – I am running 10.6.8 (apologies for any confusion).
I have just returned from a meeting so was pleasantly surprised to see so many responses. And I normally *do* know better and in my old job I would have never updated whilst on a deadline. Somehow working from home (only my second week) has made me forget all the rules!
Any suggestions welcome. Meanwhile will try what others have come up with.

Does anyone know of an animation program that can be used on Macs? Also, is there a certain program that I should get if I would like to create 3D and 2D animations?

BTW, on the gallery page, you can see some of the animations that are possible. While not specifically geared towards cartoons, kinemac is certainly capable of handling the primitive shapes needed to create toon looking objects in 3d. But, as with anything creative, the right tool really depends on EXACTLY what you're trying to do.

Where are you seeing that IE Tab for IMac even exists?
The IE Tab extension for Windows versions of Firefox doesn't ''add'' IE to Firefox, it uses the version of IE that is already installed. IE isn't made for Mac any longer, so there's no way that a version of IE Tab can be made for Mac platforms.

Looking at Adobe's site there is version 10.3 for Intel Macs running OSX 10.4 or 10.5. There is version 11 for Macs running OSX 10.6 or newer. Most web sites don't really need the newest FlashPlayer, but if you are trying to view one that really does intensive video then maybe it does require Flash 11. You aren't very specific as to which exact error message you are seeing.
If a site does require FlashPlayer 11 then you will have to upgrade your operating system.

Yes it does and there is an indication that the software is downloading but after a few hours, it just stops without any error message. Everything simply disappears and I need to start over again. I have a superfast connection so it should no be this slow. Everything worked fine on my MBP and I am in the same place. Any ideas
