Download failed Error: 87D00267

Dear all, we are facing a issue with applications not being installed during OSD. We have SCCM 2012 CU2. The issue happens only on one hardware model and testing the OSD we noticed that the SCCM client get's corrupted in 50% of the cases. In cases where
the client has not problem we see the first application in the task sequence failing with error - Policy Evaluation failed, hr=0x87d00267   in smsts log.
Has anyone faced this issue. Can someone suggest what could be tried? Below are the smsts logs from the problematic machine.

Thanks for the response.
1. We changed the application to see if the problem is with an application.
2. We deployed several computers at the same site (to be sure of boundaries)
3. The clientlocation.log has no errors.
4. This problem occurs only on one machine (a new hardware we are trying to add OSD support to) and all other hardwares work fine.
Any suggestions?

    Hi,
We have an application  built using HTMl 5 and Javascript running on IPad2, iOS5.1 Safari 5.1.
When a file url is clicked instead of asking for Save or Open or Cancel options, the file gets opened on IPad by default.
Is this default behaviour which cannot be changed or can it be configured to ask user preference?
When we try to download a file(.pvw file -> a model file) in the above application, safari throws "Download failed" error.
Please suggest what needs to be done.
    Regards,
    Pramod

Safari on an iPad in general does not allow downloading of files. That's a safety precaution in the iOS SDK to keep unauthorized content off of iOS devices. Safari will open from the web site file types that it can handle, but direct downloading isn't normal behavior, and I don't believe the behavior can be changed, though you can try asking in the developer forum, either here or the one to which you have access as a member of Apple's iOS developer program.
    Regards.

This is a copy of what was in the other area, I did not see this new post started, sorry.
Week 4 july 2011 reader, flash, shockwave downloaded ok from the download page.
Last week 18 july 2011 when I tried to download, that part of adobe site was down.
Later on in week and today, I am just getting the 'Metafile download failed' message at 33%.
Same new pc's on both occasions ( ie 7, windows xp sp3 behind corporate firewall )
    Shockwave seem to download ok.
Reader and flash, instead of coming up with the DLM as previously, is trying to download a file ending .........gtbd_Aih.exe
    Has Adobe changed something??

  • Figuring out how to fix a Binary Download Fail error message

Hi, Every time I turn on my Gateway desktop computer I get an error message in the bottom right corner of the monitor: "Binary Download Fail. Please try again." Nothing happens when I click on the box and it doesn't offer any further information
or explanation. I can only close the little window. Is this something I have to worry about? I want it to stop but can't figure out how to do some diagnostics to fix the problem or make it go away. Really could use some help here. Thank you to anyone who can
    assist me!

  • Apple app store, download fails,  error 1004 please try later

Can't down load Purchased Software from Apple App Store on Mac BookPro running Mavericks.
Asked to sign in with Apple ID, do so successfully, but when download starts, bet message: Error 1006 please try later.
I have tried a couple solutions to clear cache, but did not have them.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

  • Download fail error 403, download fail error 403

My MAcbook meets the requirements of Mountain Lion and I have been successfully charged for it, but when downloading in the App Store it gets to 79.4mb of 4.37gb and just stops. I have tried pressing resume countless times, and I have once had the error message 403 but have no idea how to get this to complete the download.
    Any ideas?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether your problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click  Log in.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.  The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. I don't understand,I want to be able to download on my bb using browser, without getting a download fail error...do I need to upgrade to an os 5 system or what?
I was pointing out how much easier it is to get music on the device by syncing with the computer, particularly as you can put loads on at once.
Re-installing the OS to the latest version should give you the best chance of attaining your goal.
In the guides it says to do a backup. Do this if you haven't already done so saving the file to a place and in a name that you can easily locate on computer.
I then uninstalled DTM and then deleted all other references to BB/Rim in Windows Explorer thus removing the OS for the BB from the computer in order to ensure that the version I would reinstall would be a brand new downloaded version.
Get the latest Desk Top Software
    http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/?CPID=OTC-DSKTPSW&cp=OTC-DSKTPSW
and install it on the computer.
Get the correct latest version of the OS
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    and save it to computer.
To erase all the data on your BlackBerry device, complete the following steps. This option is available with
BlackBerry Device Software 3.8 and later.
    1. In the device Options, click Security.
If you are using BlackBerry Device Software 4.1, click Security Options > General Security.
    2. Click the trackwheel and select Wipe Handheld.
    3. Click Continue.
    4. Type “blackberry”. All the data on the BlackBerry device is erased.
On some new versions of BlackBerry software, the menu navigation is slightly different.
    1. Go to Options.
    2. Select Security Options.
    3. Select General Settings.
    4. Click the Menu key.
    5. Select Wipe Handheld.
    6. Click Continue.
    7. Type “blackberry”. All the data on the BlackBerry device is erased.
Launch the new Desk Top Software on the computer
    1. Connect your device to your computer.
    2. On the home screen of the BlackBerry® Desktop Software, click Update my device.
    3. Do one of the following:
    * To download an update, click Get update.
    * To view other available versions of the BlackBerry Device Software, click View other versions. If applicable, click another version. Click Install.
Ensure the new OS is the one you prevously downloaded.
Do not disconnect the device until the whole process is completed and the device has rebooted.
After 10 minutes reboot again by removing the battery whilst powered-on and leave it out for a couple of minutes.
Leave it again for 10 minutes. You should now have a fully functioning BB!

  • Adobe Downloader failed in PSE 11

Just installed Photoshop Elements 11, left PSE 10 on the computer. Down loading files from my canon memory card I get
    Adobe Downloader failed, error messages:
    c:\users\papa\appdata\local\temp\WERBBDF.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
    and                                                     \WERD20E.tmp.appcompat.txt
    and                                                      \WERE467.tmp.mdmp
I replaced elements 10, downloader would quit with the former error code:
encountered a problem, error code c0000005 address 77ce3e04
If anyone has a fix, I'd appreciate it.
    Tom

Old problem under PSE10, could open organizer, APD always failed. Installed new PSE11, organizer opened, APD started, showed the three WEBB errors listed above in the thread. Yesterday, organizer opened, APD ran, got right to where it shows the new files in the organizer and failed. With that failure, organizer won't open all the way and says it failed.
Today, restarted the computer, Organizer PSE11 starts to open, shows it failed to open, will look for answers, blah, blah after closing the application, little microsoft wheel goes round and round for a minute next to the cursor, like something is having trouble closing, (but nothing running in the task manager window, then returns to a normal cursor. Will try removing PSE 10 from the programs and will look and see if Adobe has a program remover that takes out the little artifacts left behind. Appreciate your brainpower in thinking of things to try. Thanks.

I go into IIS and look at the ISAPI and CGI Restrictions, and there's no entry there for CGI-exe.  I
found CGI-exe in Handler Mappings, set to Disabled.  I enabled it by by selecting it and going to Edit Feature Permissions, then checking
Execute.  But that made no difference; I get the same error when accessing that URL, and
it's still not listed in the ISAPI and CGI Restrictions.  I went ahead and manually added it...  Path %windir%\System32\inetsrv\cgi.dll, Description CGI-exe, Allow checked.  No change.
It would seem that something has changed on the server, since this worked before - but I haven't been able to determine what changed.  Any suggestions on further troubleshooting?  It seems to be IIS related.  A coworker had previously attempted
(and failed) to get Systems Center running on this server in the past, I don't know if that might have anything to do with it.

Any chance you can guide me through this?  I've enabled it, but it's not telling me anything new.

I cannot get Elements 13.1 to download completely.  I have 3 different case numbers from Adobe and nothing helps.  I always get the "download failed" and the error code u44m1i210.  I would either like to get the product downloaded or eliminate the constant attempt which just ties up my computer.

You could try the direct download links here
