Download Installed Packages for Re-installation

I have managed to get what I consider my perfect Arch. What I would like to do is download all the packages I have installed, save them to either external hd or disc. How would I go about doing this?
Also if and when I do a reinstallation how would I install those packages without having to do it one by one.

that's because of --needed.
generate the list, uninstall some shit, then cat the list to xargs
you'll see what you just uninstalled as the targets.
i.e. man pacman

Install package for NTFS-3G STABLE Version 2012.1.15

Hi,
I've had NTFS-3G installed for quite a while in order to be able to read and write to and from NTFS formatted hard disks. I just realized my version is very old and I wanted to install the latest version (NTFS-3G STABLE Version 2012.1.15). When I go to the download page (http://www.tuxera.com/community/ntfs-3g-download/) however I see that the link for the Mac OS X install package

takes you to an old blog page with an old version of the software. The main link (http://tuxera.com/opensource/ntfs-3g_ntfsprogs-2012.1.15.tgz) takes you to a .tgz file which, when uncompressed, shows the source code with instructions to be compiled within the Linux platform. I have been googling for quite a while and I can't find a .dmg, .pkg or .mpkg install packages for the latest version. Has anybody been able to install this version on a Mac? If so, can you give me a hand to install it myself? Any pointers to a .dmg, .pkg or .mpkg install package would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

But they did in the past. You can find the .dmg files for previous versions. In the official user guide you find the following instructions for installation:
"Installing NTFS-3G is not more complicated than installing any other program, as it uses the standard Mac OS X package format to install itself.
Just double click the package NTFS-3G.pkg and follow instructions. "
As I said before, they also provide a link for the current Mac OS X version of the latest stable build of NTFS-3G, not the Tuxera NTFS (which is their commercial product). The link just happens to take you to an outdated page. This makes me think that there must be some compiled package somewhere.
In case that is not possible, can anybody provide a pointer to instructions on how to compile it from source?

Can't create a silent install package for Captivate 7 with AAMEE

I'm trying to create a silent install package for Captivate 7. It doesn't appear that this works with AAMEE. Has anyone been able to do this? If it won't be possible with AAMEE, is there a way to do it with cmd line switches?

You would need to use Adobe Creative Cloud Packager to create a deployment package and deploy Captivate 7 as AAMEE does not supports Captivate 7.

Problem installing packages for SQL monitoring activites - in OEM dbcontrol

hi guys,
possible to reinstall the OEM (dbconsole)component as i am having alot of running issues with it.
i do not intend to emca drop repository as the repository cannot be drop successfully as well.
( base on the emca log - i am stuck at
Getting temporary tablespace from database ) - log just stop at there.
so i went my own way and drop the sysman user
drop the MGMT_VIEW , the public synonyms and recreate the repository.
While configuring SQL activity Monitoring, i am suppose required to install packages but i keep getting the <i> cannot compute dynamic properties in time </i> error.
Went to metalink, search for this error [ID 739993.1], follow the fixed - but is of no help. (any other logs i can look at ?)
So i just want to reinstall this whole piece of thing again, but not sure whelther it is possible or not (as i think the dbconsole comes with the oracle software installation).
What should i do ?~~ I been trying this for days and hours .
any advices, gurus

Solved....
Although I add the same ILOM versions on both servers (2.0.2.6) I updated the ILOM to 3.0.6.15 and everything was installed successfully.

If you're getting a "This update requires Mac OS X version 10.7" message, than you have the updater and not the full installer. Go to your Purchases section of the Mac App Store and you should see the full version there. But it may be 10.7.5, though in my system is shows as being from 2011 which would appear to be the original version.
As to Mountain Lion, that's supported only on the Early 2008 Mac Pro or newer.

I see that you are experiencing issues with downloading the HP Software for the printer. You are being prompted for a password. I would like to help.
I am not sure why you are being prompted for a password to download the software, unless you don't have Admin Rights on the computer to be allowed to download from the internet and have installation permissions.

Remakepkg - Convert installed packages back into installable archives

This is a script to convert a package that has already been installed, back into an installable package file. It takes modified files (as reported by pacman -Qqkk) into account, and will regenerate the mtree entries corresponding to those files, if the original package had an mtree.
I've been searching for an utility like this, and didn't find it. If I am entirely mistaken and such a thing does already exist, please point me in its direction. Thank you!
Why would I possibly want this?
The creation of this script was inspired by 2 incidents.
1. wine-silverlight takes about 2 hours to build from AUR on my desktop computer. The package file was automatically deleted after installation. And then I realised, my netbook has the same architecture, but the package file was already gone, so I had to build it again.
2. While troubleshooting an issue with font rendering, I had to flip between freetype2-infinality and freetype2 a few times to isolate the problem. It would have been nice if I only had to build freetype2-infinality from AUR once.
Limitations
This script is unable to guess information that is not present pacman's local database. For example, the .PKGINFO file produced by the script will not have any makepkgopt entries.
I also do not have a perfect understanding of pacman's package format, and you may encounter errors resulting from omissions or misunderstandings on my part, or changes to pacman.

I just edit /etc/makepkg.conf and set the PKGDEST variable.
This way I always have a copy of my built packages in case I need to reinstall or use on a different machine.
Only issue with that is that the config files will be default. By using remakepkg or bacman it takes the existing config file and rolls it into the package.
**EDIT** Well actually, thats because I elect to have pacman ditch the config files whenever I remove something. I usually remove something with -Rcsn options a pay close attention to what it says it will remove..

Download Business Package for Recruiter 1.41 but available till 1.40 E-rec

I have to deploy E-rec packages on Portal, our backend is SAP ECC ehp4 with SP 20.
As per recommendation, Business Package for
Recruiting Administrator 1.41 and Business Package for
Recruiter 1.41 needs to deployed to get E-rec functionality, but on service market place under
Portal content folder packages are avalable till 1.40 instead of 1.41.
Request to tell where is the path from where we can download 1.41 packages.
2)I want to clarify one more thing that SAP E-Recruiting (EA-ER) needs to add on
to get E-rec functionality in Backend(ECC EHP4).

Download EhP4 packages for ECC 6.0 including EhP1 for NW 7.0

Hi experts,
I have the following problem. I must update an existing ECC 6.0 system to NW EhP1. I found it is not possible to update only the NetWeaver but the whole ERP 6.0 must be updated to EhP4. The system is registered in Sol. Man. as ECC with no usage types. The MOPZ does not give me the option to download EhP packages neither it shows in the list of SP the latest SPs for ECC 6.0 EhP4/NW 7.0 EhP1. All the upgrade guides state that only MOPZ in Sol. Man. should be used for download because of the delta upgrades and the generated XML file.
Is there any other way to download the EhP4 packages and to upgrade the system except MOPZ and EHPI?

If you have 32 bit system, you can use SAINT to apply EHP4, but you will need XML file from MOPZ anyway. I would suggest you to register your system in SOLMAN SMSY as ERP 6.0 system.

Where can I find Flash and Acrobat Install packages for Mac OS X?

Boot iso cant go online to download install packages[solved]

I have to use the boot iso image (not the netinstall or coreinstall iso)
dhcpd fails for some reason, (i definitely have a working internet connection) and defaults to dhclient, and says network was configuredsuccesfully
then when trying to download packages I get 404 errors on all the mirrors I have tried.
The strange thing is that I can select packages and it seems to update the list of packages online!
EDIT- I selected packages twice and not its downloading the packages !
