Download Material to CRM

Hi,
I would like to download the Material from ECC to CRM. I understand that ECC's product can be assigned to different plant. In this case, how middleware can take care of this?
For example:
Plant ABC has material 124
Plant DEF also has material 124.
Question 1: iIn this case, middleware will only download the basic data for that material?
Question 2: if ECC material has extended fields which does not exist in CRM. Settype & Attributes for those extended fields have to be created in CRM and assign to the category. What will be the next step? As what I understand, BADI from CRM will be called and FM in ECC as well. But I do not have clear picture on this.
Any input is welcome!

Hello Ginnie,
To answer your first question,
In order to download the plant data of a material, you need to add MARC and MARC_KEY under 'Tables/Structures within Object'
tab of txn:R3AC1 , for object MATERIAL. This would make sure that plant data of material gets downloaded to CRM.
To answer your second question,
If you have extended fields in ECC then you need to map them to BAPI structures in User Exit so that these data would flow to CRM.
In CRM, you need to have settype/attributes and assign that settype to category.And then you need to implement the BADI
PRODUCT_CUSTOMER2 ,method MAP_R3_TO_CRM_MATERIAL, which would take care of mapping the ECC extended fields to CRM fields( which were defined as attributes/settype).
Attribute is a way to define datatypes.Settype is a means to group related attributes.If you want these attributes of a particaular settype to be available in a material , then you need to assign that settype to category to which your material belongs to.
Now to map the ECC fields to CRM fileds you need to BADI.

Please check in ECC material master, the length unit is correclty maintianed.
Then please check in one of the failed BDoc to see whether data segment COMM_PR_UNIT has the correct data.
If the data is corrupt there, there might be the error.
The reason is that xml format was not used in this load. To correct this, please change the entry for consumer CRM in R/3 table CRMRFCPAR parameter send_xml = 'M'. Afterwards start a new initial load of materia.

Downloading Material Master data from ECC to CRM

First download the customizing objects using R3AS
DNL_CUST_PROD0 u2013 Material number conversions
DNL_CUST_PROD1 u2013 Product : Categories
DNL_CUST_PROD3 u2013 Material : R/3 sales status
DNL_CUST_SPROD u2013 Sales product item
DNL_PLANT - Plant
To download products foll the steps below
1.Defining Product ID Settings -COMCPRFORMAT
Cross-Application Components  SAP Products  Basic Settings  Define Output Format and Storage Form of Product Ids
This activity describes how to synchronize the product Ids in the CRM system and the R/3 system.
The material master length is R/3 is defined in transaction code OMSL and is set to 18. (also check note no. 545824)
2.Make sure that CRM item categories and R/3 item categories are the same.
In CRM, item categories and item category groups are seen via
Customer Relationship Management  Transactions  Basic Settings
3.Selecting specific objects for replication : R3AC1
Use adapter object MATERIAL
Use filter settings tab and specify the material or a range of products you want to download .Use atble name MARA,field MATNR use an approriate operator and mention theproduct you want to downlaod.
4.Replicate Materials : R3AS
mention the adaptor object Material and execute

Material Characteristic Download R/3 - CRM

Folks,
I am changing a characteristic on a material in R/3 using ct04, creating a new run time version using cu34 and doing a initial load from CRM of the SCE object with a filter on my material. I see the BDoC's coming over on the CRM side with the new version I had created in R/3 but when I query the material in CRM with COMMPR01 I dont see the changes. Any ideas why this is happening ??

Hi Fasi,
When you change the characteristic in R/3 why are you doing again an Intial download. When you do the final step of generating run-time version, I guess the delta download should have been triggered(Do you say that delta download does not work for the adapter object SCE??)
How do you check if the change characteristic is available in CRM middleware or not. Do you create a new quote or sales order and check in CRM. In transaction 'COMMPR01' you could see only characteristics modelled via PME, but if you want to see characteristics created in R/3 you need the SCE to be configured with CRM middleware. SCE is part of IPC (Internet pricing configurator).
So please check by creating a quote in CRM middleware.
Also please let me know why you do an intial download instead of delta download when you change the characteristics value?

Initial Download - Material

After I got some errors(COMM_PR_MAT, COMM_PR_SHTEXT) during initial download of materials from R/3 > CRM I found the below helpful information here in the forum. So I checked the assignments of the hierarchy R3PRODSTYP in CRM. Only COM_PR_LGTEXT1 and COM_PR_GTIN were asigned to category MAT_. How can I set these missing assignments? Thanks in advance.
In addition, the SAP-defined CRM set types are assigned to the categories of the hierarchy R3PRODSTYP as follows:
○ The following set types are assigned to the category MAT_:
■ COMM_PR_MAT (basic data on materials)
■ COMM_PR_SHTEXT (description)
■ COMM_PR_UNIT (conversion of units of measure)
■ COMM_PR_LGTEXT1 (basic texts)
As a result, these set types are inherited by all material types.
○ The following set types are also assigned to the category MAT_ if the status Sales is assigned to the material type in the ERP system:

○ DNL_CUST_PROD3 (material statuses in sales and distribution)

Hi Rahul,
If you are done with all your middleware settings (Refer Best practices 1. Generation 2. Connectivity 3. Customizing replication) then you should be ableto see the ERP material in CRM.
Review the documents and check if you have done the settings properly as per the document.
If yes then perform Initial Load R3AS trx for MATERIAL object. Check your filter settings for MATERIAL in R3AC1 trx.

Cannot download Material Dimension Information

Hi All
We are using the BPC 7.5 MS and the installtion is a Domain Installtion for a Domain. No the client has created a Trust for multiple dDomian and we can able to get the users from the different Domains through the [rocess of creating the Users.
Now when the uses from the different domain want to access the BPC Excel it is given the message " CANNOT DOWNLOAD MATERIAL DIMENSION INFORMATION" .
But at the same time when a user belong to the domain where the BPC is isntalled is accessing the BPC Excel he can able to access the same easily without the Mesage .
Now i am going to the Material Dimension >Export Dimension memeber>Process the Dimension from the Mmeber Sheet

Downloading materials to CRM

Experts, I still heve problem with regard to Sales data associted to each material. In fact, I downloaded roughly 14,000.00 materials to CRM by middleware succesfully, but Sales data (Sales area) is not copied in Sales&Distrib. TAB for each matarial.
Before download, i mapped R3 Sales Org. with CRM Org. model, I associated each Org, unit (Sales) to each R3 sales area. For each Org. unit set "Obj. Permitted Determination" up.
I downloaded via middleware the followings objects in the order
given:
DNL_CUST_S_AREA
DNL_CUST_PROD0
DNL_CUST_PROD1
DNL_CUST_PROD3
DNL_CUST_SPROD
MATERIAL
and asked this issue to everybody but I´ve not received any help, please give a hand to solve and I´ll reward 30 point for it (I have three message posted of the same issue). What is missing or wrong???

Hi Efrain,
Have you checked the status of the object DNL_CUST_S_AREA. The download of this is completed successfully ? Also It is absolutely necessary that the initial download of objects CLASS, ATTRIBUTE and OBJCL occurs before object MATERIAL is downloaded.
Also check whether the BDOCs are having the Org or not. You can select any of the green BDOCs in transaction /nSMW01 and check the contents of it.

Middleware: extended Material to CRM Product, EEWB needed?

Hi all,
If Material in ECC contains custom fields extended by EEWB to the MARA table, and these information are needed in CRM during replication, do I need to use EEWB to extend in CRM as well? (if yes, which table to be extended for product)
Or creating new attributes to the attribute set and assign it to CRM Product's set type will do?

Hi Ginnie,
You can create a new attributes to the attribute set and assign it to CRM Product's set type. But if you want to have the information in these Zfields in ECC to pass into CRM product master fields then you need to perform the below steps.
Configuration Tables TBE24 and TPS34 in ECC must be maintained for triggering the CRM Middleware download of data from ECC to CRM. In Table TPS34 the Process CRM0_200 contains the entry for CRM Middleware download of data.
1. Activate Customer Product by maintaining table TBE24 using transaction SM30
2. Maintain the Custom product e.g. ZPROD
3. Add the function module that the OPEN_FI function module can find for a Business Transaction Event (BTE) as an alternative to a standard function module by maintaining table TPS34 using transaction SM30
4. Create Function module for mapping in ECC. For e.g. Function Module ZSEND_PROD_TO_CRM handles mapping the custom fields to be transferred to the CRM system.
5. After this you should implement the source code to do the BAPIMTCS mapping to send the data to CRM.
6. Finally, you will need to implement a BADI PRODUCT_CUSTOMER2 in CRM, method MAP_R3_TO_CRM_MATERIAL which will map all of the custom fields from ECC into the Product Master in CRM.

SAP Inventory Manager 4.0 (WM 1.0) issue downloading material returns on Goods Receipt

Hi all,
We're facing an issue related to GR and material returns, connecting to SAP backend system.
On this first screen we're using MIGO transaction and you'll see that we have a PO (4200000027) with one material (MATERIAL-1) which has a pending quantity of 298 EA to be received.
However, on this second screen, you'll see that when the PO gets downloaded to the Agentry client, it shows that only 295 EA are pending and that it shows that 5 EA has been received, while there are no items reversed or returned.
Finally, when we go to verify the Purchase History for the material using ME23N transaction, you'll see that indeed 5 EA have been received of the material, but also several returns have been made. So, after calculating the difference, the total quantity of items received are 2.
From this I understand that the SAP IM application has not downloaded the returns, and that is only considering the receipts that have been done. For that reason, it thinks that 295 EA are pending, when in reality it's supposed to be 298 EA.
Has anyone faced this issue before? Is this a known bug? Am I missing some configuration?

Omar,
I'm not aware of any known issues with respective to calculation of open quantity which is quantity ordered - ( Total received ) - Total returned. In your case it is not working I guess.
what I would I suggest is to put a break point on SAP side for Purchase order fetch and check if it is something wrong with calculations. if it something to do with calculation then please open OSS message with SAP support team for IM 4.0 product.

Errors while transaction download from ECC- CRM

we are trying to download transactions from ECC 5.0 to CRM 5.0.
the initial download has stopped in between and we get an error "SysFail" in the Inbound queue (SMQ2). Information on this error is "The current application triggered a termination with a short dump"
when we try to analyze the short dump, it says the termination occured in the ABAP program :SAPLCRM_DOWNLOAD_MAP - in "FILL_BTM_PARTNER". In the source code you have the termination point in line 254 of the include program "LCRM_DOWNLOAD_MAPF37".
please provide pointers to resolve this issue .

How to download material sales text and purchase order text information

Here is situation:
goto MM03 transaction,
Take any material -- and select below views
1. sales text
2. purchase order text
i have to write the download program with the sales text and purchasing text information of all the materials.
could you pls tell me in which table I will get all the above sales text and purchase order text infrmation.
I think it will store in standard text. I checked STXH table also for getting information text object, text id, text name, language, etc.
If anybody knows .. please share.

Sales area missing after Product download --ECC to CRM

Dear SDN team,
Im facing a issue after downloading few products from ECC to CRM using Middleware .
The Products have been download successfully , but the Sales area for Product is missing in CRM system .
I have correctly mapped the ECC sales area to CRM in txn PPOMA_CRM and also enabled the u201CObj permitted for distributionu201D for the Sale Org in CRM
I have also downloaded all customizing settings related to Products and Sales areas.
Can someone please help me here ? Is there any customizing settings I need to make in CRM or change the Products in ECC??

Thansk again , but the problem is not resolved yet .
I creating a dummy product in ECC with correct Sales area details ( as mainatianed in CRM as well) and downloaded this product from ECC to CRM.
But still the sales area is missing for the Product !!
I checked the BDocs as well and there are no errors here as well
What could be the problem ??

Problem with Initial Download Material

Hello Experts,
I have sap CRM 5.0 and R/3 5.0 systems are there.
I could replicate all the products from R/3 to CRM system except the products that have character alphanumeric.
example: 9999AB, 9999B, etc.
Please let me know how to replicate thats products from R/3 to CRM system.

I have read note 545824 - Conversion of product ID (CRM) <-> material number (ERP)
I checked the transaction COMCPRFORMAT
the lexicographical storage type is not set in R3, either in CRM.
when i execute de transaction R3AS, adapter Material every thing is ok, there not error
and in transaction R3AM1, the status is green (done), but the block is cero.
I made a test wiht the lexicographical storage in CRM, but it does not work
What I do to resolve this problem?
