Download of iTunes songs fails.  Tap to retry fails help!

Hi All,
I have just tried to download 4 songs from iTunes using my iPod touch however in the downloads area of iTunes the 4 songs are sitting & it states 'download error tap to retry'. I have retried a number of times but the same error appears.
I can connect to the web & used web apps so there's no issue with my network coonection.
Any ideas?
Thanks

this happened to me quite a few times with movies, and there is no fix you can do. email itunes support through itunes, and theyll clear it for you and also prob give you store credits. they are very helpful about it.

  • Iphone5 does not allow me to download purchased itunes songs on icloud

Hi, I have just purchased an iPhone 5.  I have iTunes installed on my iPad and have a large number of songs that I have purchased.  I am logged into iCloud with my apple ID, and have no problems downloading Apps that I have purchased and stored in the iCloud (i.e., not downloaded to the device).  However, when it comes to music and iTunes, its a completely different matter.  I have a whole host of songs that I can see in iTunes, under "Purchased", and a cloud appears next to the name of each song.  I touch the cloud to start a download, the cloud icon turns to "downloading" and I even see the music download under "downloads".  However, once the download happends, it fully disappears... when I click on the Music icon on my iphone, the directory is completely empty and I get the words "No Content.  You can dowload music from the iTunes Store" and has a link to the store.  I click on the store, and once again, I click on purchased, and I see the list of musics I'd downloaded/purchased on my iPad.... please help me!!  I have a lot of music I've paid for, and purchased a higher memory Iphone to be able to use it/download it, but am unable to....!  Also, I am unable to use iTunes to download new music to my device.  The same thing happens -- it downloads, it actually appears in my iPAD, but not on my phone on which the purchase was transacted.  Thanks so much!

Each device can only set up a limited number of iCloud accounts (I believe it's 3).  After that you can only re-use one of the accounts previously created, or create a new account to use on another iOS device or Mac (running OS X 10.7.2 or later, if you have one.  Chances are the previous owner already created the maximum number of iCloud accounts on the phone you purchased.

Can someone help me please.I have just paid to have a movie download from iTunes and it's not downloading,it keeps coming up retry any help would be great fully appreciated....thanks

Since you have a new hard drive, there is nothing on it, so you need to boot from an external source (and probably format the hard drive before installing an OS). Are you booting from the 10.6 install disk? Better yet - do you have a bootable backup clone or at least a Time Machine backup?

  • Cant download my itunes songs

Hey i just got a reboot on my pc, because of technical problems and i have just reinstalled itunes.
The problem is, that i cant seem to download my purchased songs onto my computer again. I have tried looking in my purchase history but there is nothing.
I have also tried to buy an album that i know i own, just to see if it would say, that i already owned it, but it let me buy it and now all i have is this album and nothing else.
This is really furstrating since i have spend much money on legally purchasing music instead of pirating.

iTunes menu Store > Authorize computer.
also tried to syncronize my ipod with my pc, but Itunes tells me that the ipod is synched with another liberary (probaly my pc libery before i rebooted it) and that if i syncronize it with this liberary, all the songs would get deleted.
Did you backup anything before you formatted the computer?
    Authorize your computer then...
Connect iPod, then iTunes menu File > Devices {select your device} and Transfer purchases.
Hey i just got a reboot on my pc
    You mean format & reinstall.
Reboot simply means to restart the computer.

  • Secure link to iTunes Store failed: HELP!

I'm new to iTunes and purchased my first iPod yesterday night. The first time I plugged in my iPod to sync it, I wasn't able to. At first I had version 10 then it updated. On the previous version I was able to access the iTunes store but wasn't able to sync my iPod. I had downloaded the most recent version of iTunes (10.1) and then this problem occured.
"iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. The network connection timed out. Please make sure that the network settings are correct and that your netowrk is connected, then try again."
I've read several different manuals and emailed Apple about it. I've tried a lot of different things to fix it.
    +-change firewall settings+
    +-redownloaded iTunes+
    +-contacted Apple Tech Support+
    +-changed proxy settings+
    +-changed permissions+
    +-disabled firewall+
    +-restarting iTunes+
    +-restarting router+
And several others. Nothing seems to work. I ran a diagnostic review and this is what came up.

What do I do? Any information and suggestions would be very helpful.

i found a solution that worked in my case..i found it in this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2284692?start=0&tstart=0 in texlark's post..i copied and pasted it here:
The Fix (& It's NOT Your Firewall)
    A. Symptoms
When you try to connect to the iTunes Store you may receive the alert message "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occured (-9808). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later."
    B. Resolution
Check your computer's date, time, and time zone. Set the correct date, time, and time zone if needed. If your computer's date, time, and time zone are all correct and you still see this alert message, this issue can be resolved by modifying certain settings in the Internet Options control panel:
    1) Go to the Start menu and choose Control Panel.
    2) Select Internet Options.
Note: If you are using Windows Vista you may need to select Classic View on the left before you can see Internet Options.
Note: If you are using WIndows 7 you may need to change "View by" to either Large icons or Small icons before you can see Internet Options.
    3) Click the Advanced tab.
    4) In the Settings box, scroll down to the Security section.
    5) Deselect the option to "Check for server certificate revocation (requires restart)."
    6) Select the options for "SSL 3.0" and "TLS 1.0."
    7) Apply the changes and restart your computer.

  • How can I download an Itunes song only available in canada

I would like to download the song "I was there" by Paul Brandt but It says I can't because I live in the USA and it's under
Canadian ITunes?  I guess they don't want our money?  Any suggestions?

Yep, I know it was released for the World Junior Hockey Championships, but it was a recent release since the World Juniors were only last month so I am hoping he still will have it released world wide.  After all it the money is going for Canadian Hockey (Youth I believe) so you would think he would want to raise as much money as he could.  There were USA players there, so ya never know lol  I am trying to be optimistic as I LOVE that song!

  • When I am trying to download an iTunes song, it is saying there is an error in iTunes with the number45054

When I am trying to purchase a song, it is saying there is an error in the iTunes store with the number45054.  I also have $15 to redeem from an iTunes card.  It shows on my account by my name, but when I try to purchase a song, it will not give me the option to access that.  It just takes me to paypal/credit card.  Any suggestions?

  • HT203433 Incomplete downloading of iTunes song even when says is complete

I used iCloud to download a song onto my computer that I had purchased on my phone.  I says it the song is 2:54 long yet at about 1:15 the song spontaneously ends and goes to the next track.  I do not have this problem with the track on my phone.  I wanted to re-download it however when I deleted it from iTunes on my computer, when I went to the iTunes store it still said that track was "downloaded" to this computer so it wouldn't let me get it again.  Thoughts?

I called and spoke to supervisor, plug yr phone into computer, rt click on yr name and transfer purchases, this redownloaded whole song onto computer and fixed the problem

  • TS3297 error when downloading from iTunes song from store. sail away says file corrupted, yet continues to repeatedly try to download this song. can't remove it or delete it from iTunes, shows up with an exclamation sign.

It says file corrupted yet continues to attempt to download the file. It is stuck in a loop. I can't seem to delete this file either. i've tried several ways, dragging it to trash (it still appears), hitting the delete buttin on my computer.
Any suggestions as to how to stop the downloading of this corrupted file?

Perhaps try the "Error -50," "-5000," "8003," "8008," or "-42023" section in the Specific Conditions and Alert Messages: (Mac OS X / Windows) section of the following document:
