Download of over half of songs from album failed.

I have tried to restart download multiple times, same items fail to download.  Other item, including a large size app downloaded okay.

I had the same problem but with only one track and eventually realized it hadn't downloaded properly. You can check this by clicking on Purchased under the Store heading in the left-hand column in iTunes. Then in the lower right corner click on Download Previous Purchases and then the artist name you're having trouble with. It should show all the tracks you've downloaded. If the three tracks that are skipping say something other than "Downloaded," just download them again (you don;t have to pay again) and you should be fine.

  • HT4623 After updating, I've lost over half my Applications from Home screen, including Setting, Safari, Camera and more plus all original downloaded Apps. How do I get them back?

After updating my iPhone 4S with ios6, it seems I have lost over half the Applications from the Home Screen, including Settings, Safari, Camera, Photos and more plus all the original downloaded Applications. Can anyone help please?

The built in apps can't be deleted.  If you want them reset back to their original arrangement on your screen, go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.  If your purchased apps are missing, either sync them back to your phone with iTunes or redownload them for free (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519).

  • HT4972 I was downloading $15 worth of iTunes songs from a gift card when my iPod died. Now, no credit & no songs on my iPod. Where did either my $$ go or my songs that I paid for disappear? How do I get one or the other?

I was downloading $15 worth of iTunes songs from a gift card when my iPod died. Now, no credit & no songs on my iPod. Where did either my $$ go or my songs that I paid for disappear? How do I get one or the other? I have 2 of the same iPod's and logged onto both with the same as well as different apple ID's and passwords to each respective iPod and the completion of my downloaded songs has disappeared into thin air. Where did it go? How do I get the credit too re-download those songs to the correct iPod? Please help me!! [email protected]

What happens when you try to redownload them?
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
On a computer go to iTunes>Store>View Account>Sign in and go to purchased history and see if you actually purchased them.
    Try redeeming the card again

  • How do I transfer songs from albums, artists etc to playlist on iPhone 4S

I'm sure it's easy, so hope someone can assist.
Just wanting to move selected songs from albums/artists/songs to playlist.
    Any tips would be appreciated.

All of your apps should be on your computer.  If they are not, then put them there.
You can then sync them to any of your devices that you like.

  • How to download duplicate songs from album "A" and album "B" in iTunes

    Hello!
In iTunes I've bought Album "A" that has "track 2."  More recently I purchased Album "B" which also has "track 2" but it will not download stating that I already have it as part of Album "A."  I would really like to only have the newer album on my device but since it's missing that track, it's kind of disappointing.  I've looked through several options in iTunes and tried various Google phrases but I can't seem to find an answer so that I can make "track 2" appear in both album "A" and "B."  Any help would be much appreciated - thanks!

Never seen this before. They are different tracks from different albums (even if they are the same song). It's no different than buying a regular album and a greatest hits album. The greatest hits will have 2-3 songs from the regular album but you still get all the tracks on the greatest hits.
    Which albums & song?
Both of these are purchased in iTunes store?

  • IPhone downloads a whole load of songs from my iTunes, not just one playlist like I've set it up to (in theory) do.

When I sync my iPhone to iTunes it is supposed to only download one of my playlists so as not to use up all the space on my phone. However, it fills all the left-over space with songs (sidenote: I haven't ticked the box that says "automatically fill free space with songs") and I don't know (a) what I'm doing wrong or (b) how to fix it. I have an iPhone 6 and still use my iPod touch without ever having this problem.
    Thank you!

Do the half billion copies of the album they gave away count as "sales"?
Let's see... An album has to sell 500,000 copies to go gold, 1,000,000 copies to go Platinum, 10,000,000 copies to go diamond... What will they come up with for 500,000,000 copies sold?
Something radioactive would be cool... though difficult to display safely on the wall...

The exact same thing has happened to me . . . 2 of the 4 songs I purchased recently play fine on the PC and are listed in the ipod's contents, but are skipped over when I try playing them directly on the ipod. I'm a newbie at this, so go easy . . .

  • Bought a whole album and I only wanted a few songs and now all songs from album are on my phone but not my mac

Okay so today one of my friends used my phone to sign in to his Apple I.D I don't know why? Anyway...once he logged off there was a whole album I bought and I only wanted a few songs from that album and deleted the songs I didn't want but somehow those songs I deleted from the album showed up on my Music on my iPhone but not my Mac. I tried to download it so I could delete it but it says in 90 days you can use another Apple I.D to download songs. Is there a way I can delete the songs I don't want from that album but keep the songs I want? Help?

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone.  The only exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing:  File>Transfer Purchases
The iphone is not a backup device.
Copy everything from your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.

  • IPhone would not let me delete individual song from library, tried deleting album to remove music from local storage, now certain songs from album do not show in iTunes match on iPhone only on computer

Upon completion of matching and uploading my very large library of music (+15,000), I wanted to see how iTunes Match worked on my iPhone. I started it and selected the first album in the list to listen to. I let it play the entire album and then decided that I wanted to remove certain songs off of the iPhone's local storage. Tried to delete the individual songs and it would not let me. So I figured that I would go back and just delete the album. After selecting delete I went back to listen to one of the songs on the album and realized that it deleted several of the songs from the iTunes Match completely. When pulling iTunes up on my computer the songs are still there but does not give me the option to upload to iTunes Match.
I have tried turning off Match on iPhone and back on (doesn't seem to do anything cause when turned off the iPhone still displays the music.)
Then tried power cycling. (Still shows the music)
Then I tried power cycling again and resyncing the phone and the iPhone still shows the music as it was on the phone.
How do I get the music to be accessable on the iPhone again.. I have been messing with this for the course of 3 hours now.. and any help would be appreciated!!
    iPhone 3GS 8GB

Actually Michael I know exactly how to delete.. The iPhone would not let me swipe to the left to delete the individual song, so I went to the album view and did it there.. The issue I am having is a bug because it removed 3/4 of the albums availablity off my iPhone.. You post proved no help because it is basic troubleshooting which, if you read my post, I have already done.. I did however figure out how to fix my issue on my own.. Basically I had to remove the album from my iTunes on my computer and upload it again to iTunes Match..

  • TS1389 I am trying to authorize my new computer to download all old and new songs From my library

How do I authorize my new computer so I can download my old and new songs off my library

    Authorization and Deauthorization
See iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization for Macs.
See How to Authorize or Deauthorize iTunes | PCWorld for Windows.
In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it.
More On De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
      1. Open iTunes on a computer
      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.

  • Missing songs from album purshase

Bought an album and three songs are missing.
How do I get the three songs?  I paid for entire album and have already been billed.

just click the link next to album name on the songs or album row to go to iTunes store, and it will shows you the whole album, and then you compare with what you already have. Or click link on artist row to link you to all of album or songs the artist have in iTunes Store.
Open iTunes > preference (general) > check show link to iTunes store, to create the link from your library to iTunes Store.
    Good Luck

  • One song from album classified as a movie (it's just a song)

For unknown reasons, one and only one song off an album of mine recently moved from being a song on the album to being a "movie" which shows up in my movie list.  There is no associated video, it's just a regular song.
I can still play the song from my Album list (though the title is greyed out).  I can also play it from the Movies list.   The file is a .m4p file, but for some reason it moved to the "Movies" subdirectory of the iTunes library.  Moving it back to where it belongs does nothing, I need to get iTunes to recognize that I want to move it, but have no idea how to do so.
    Any tips?
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks again, but no joy.
Doing the work only on my computer.  The file is not read-only.
As an experiment, I located the file in the "Movies" subdirectory and physically removed it (there's a copy where it belongs in Music/<artist>/<album>.  Trying to play it then (from the album's song list where it also appears), it couldn't find the file and asked me to locate it.  Once I did, it moved the file to the Movies directory and proceeded to play it.  It still thinks it is a video-less "movie".  Get Info reports the "Media Kind" as "Music" and does not allow me to change it (nor should I since that is correct).
I'm tempted to export the library in it's XML format, see if I can figure out how to fix it and then reconstruct the library from the XML.

  • Deleting song from GarageBand fail

So let's say I've sent a garage band project to iTunes. I synced up with my Mac, save the tune and now I'm done with it. If I delete the song from the GarageBand app, the song still shows up when synced to my Mac or if I choose import option from the GarageBand app. In other words ,it's never truly deleted.
When sending to iTunes does the file permanently exist in limbo land?

So no one figure this out yet?
Or does my question need more clarification?

  • I recently downloaded over 20,000 songs from an external hard drive to my iTunes and I am having problems accessing some of the songs on my iPad now that I have created playlists including some fo the songs.

It is about 90GB of music in total. Is it possible that the large volume is responsible for some fo the problems I am experiencing?

The songs are on iTunes. I have copied some into a playlist and when I sync with the iPad the list is copied but there are some songs that cannot be played even though they are listed. These songs are listed but in greyscale so I cannot select them to be played.
I have not exceeded the capacity of the iPad.
