The only version supported and available at the moment is 10gR2.
Please see {thread:id=1043805} for more details. Any particular details why you specifically want to download 10gR1?

    Hi
The dom0 kernel indeed is 32-bit. The xen "module" defines whether you are running 32 or 64-bit
In your grub.conf file (/etc/grub.conf) there should be entries for both 32 and 64-bit xen modules.
    For example
    title Oracle VM Server-ovs (xen-64-3.4.0 2.6.18-128.2.1.4.9.el5ovs)
    root (hd0,2)
    kernel /xen-64bit.gz dom0_mem=564M
    module /vmlinuz-2.6.18-128.2.1.4.9.el5xen ro root=UUID=XXXX
    module /initrd-2.6.18-128.2.1.4.9.el5xen.img
    title Oracle VM Server-ovs (xen-3.4.0 2.6.18-128.2.1.4.9.el5ovs)
    root (hd0,2)
    kernel /xen-32bit.gz dom0_mem=564M
    module /vmlinuz-2.6.18-128.2.1.4.9.el5xen ro root=UUID=XXXX
    module /initrd-2.6.18-128.2.1.4.9.el5xen.img
Also, if you downloaded Oracle VM using x86 64 bit platform selection, you
should have the 64 bit Oracle VM installed.

Does anyone know if there is an Oracle VPN client for Linux (64-bit) ?
    Where to get it ?
    How to install it ?

Perhaps OpenVPN will work for you. Unfortunately you did not provide any OS information and VPN requirements.
You can find help to install and setup OpenVPN in Google. You might want to check the Fedora EPEL repository http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL to install the software using standard yum in Enterprise Linux.

  • ASM installation failure from Oracle GRID under Windows 7 64 bit

    I am a rookie..I am running Oracle database 11gR2 running on a Windows 7 64 bit system.
I am implementing ASM onto my system solely for learning purposes
The implementation of ASM has changed between database releases 11gR1 and 11gR2 such that it is no longer configured locally but is now implemented from within Oracle GRID. Unfortunately, the book I am using to study my OCP from was written at the time of 11gR1 so I can no longer follow its instructions to create and configure ASM. Instead of using DBCA I now need to use ASMCA to configure ASM.
As a preliminary requirement I successfully installed Oracle Grid and configured it to run on my standalone server.
I created two partitions on my harddrive ...... drive G: and drive H: with intent of using them as my ASM disks. 45 Gig and 50 gig in size respectively formatted with the NTFS filesystem.
I ran ASMCA in an attempt to create an ASM instance
I specified these partition drives '\\.\G:' and '\\.\H:' in the disk discovery path which were successfully picked up.
However when ASMCA executed the creation process after some time it failed with the following message:
One or more diskgroup(s) creation failed as below:
DiskGroup mydisks creation failed with the following message:
    ORA-15018: diskgroup cannot be created
    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [17090], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []

Ok. As above the ASM instance appeared to have been successfully created so as part of my investigative process to confirm what the script actually did successfully execute I attempted to log into the ASM instance to see how far it would get. It fails with the following result

LISTENER is running ie the local listener running on port 1521 that was originally created with a previous basic stand alone installation of the Oracle 11gR2 database . (ie before I installed Oracle GRID). No other listeners are running.
Can t see any evidence of any ASM service on Windows Task manager started/stopped or otherwise. Neither can I see evidence of a CSS service.
The log file that was generated is large I am not clear on what I should be looking for in order to find clues as to how I might manually resolve this problem and possibly 'salvage' the installation. Any advice would be appreciated.

  • Where to download Oracle 11G lib32 for Linux x86-64

    Hi,
can you tell me where to download 11G 32bit client for Linux 86-64? I need the 32 bit lib.
    Thanks

    Hello,
You should install the Client which match your platform.
If you have a Linux *32 bit* platform you should choose this Client:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/112010-linuxsoft-085393.html
If you have a Linux *64 bit* platform then, you should use the link I sent you on my previous post:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/112010-linx8664soft-100572.html
I'm not sure about Linux, but I know that on Unix, Oracle for 64 bit platform has 2 directories for the Library:
    $ORACLE_HOME/lib      --> 64 bit
$ORACLE_HOME/lib32    --> 32 bitI guess you may have the same components on Linux.
    Hope this help.
    Best regards,
    Jean-Valentin

Neither will get you to 10.2.0.4. For that you will need to install 10.2.0.1, then download and install the 10.2.0.4 patchset, which is available only from MeteaLink (My Oracle Support), which requires a paid support contract.

  • Installing OEM grid control on Linux 64 bit

Was someone able to install OEM grid control 10.2.0.1 on a RedHat linux 4.0 x86-64. I Know that it is not certified yet but most of the time it is possible to install a 32 bit application on a 64 bit OS.
    Thanks

Yes, I have it installed. (let me tell you though, it wasn't easy!). A few notes:
    1. Download and install compat-oracle-rhel4-1.0-5.i386.rpm from http://oss.oracle.com/projects/compat-oracle/files/RedHat/
(this essentially puts a wrapper around gcc and transforms it into a shell script)
    2. Modify /usr/bin/gcc to look like this (add –m32):
    exec /usr/bin/gcc32 -m32 -static-libgcc -B/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/2.96/ "$@"
    3. Execute “linux32 bash”
    4. Run the installer.
    Hope that helps.
P.S.: The installer might fail to detect the rpms below. Just make sure you have them installed.
    compat-libstdc++-296-2.96-132.7.2
    libstdc++devel-3.4.3-22.1

11/10/11: Patch Set 11.2.0.3 for Linux, Solaris, Windows, AIX and HP-UX Itanium is now available on support.oracle.com.
You have to ask support to send you the cloud link where you can download the binaries OR you can ask them to send you the media also.
It says right on the above link
