Download & Upload Data Dictionary objects

Hi,
  Like we have utilities for downloading and uploading ABAP Reports, SAP Scripts & Dynpros; does anybody have some tool to download data dictionary objects from one system and uploading it onto another??
  Else we would have to use transports from source to destination - which is my fallback option.
  Any pointers to such tools would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Pramod

    Hi Raghunadh,
                        The data dictionary objects will be in the repository itself if activated.If the data dictionary objects was created by user and if it is not activated.In this scenarion the data dictionary object can be seen in object navigator.Please check the transaction SE80 and SE81.

  • Download/Upload of  Workflow Business Objects

    Hi experts,
    Do you know if there is a way to download/upload workflow business objects, tasks, events, etc, from a SAP system to a diferent one?
    Thanks in advance,
    Raphael Xavier

    Hi Raphael,
    yes you can download and upload workflows to/ from different systems.
    To do that go to SWDD, Workflow -> Import/Export -> Export to XML file.
    Now in the recipient system, go to SWDD, Workflow -> Import/Export -> Import from XML file.
    There is a limitation to this approach. All customizing chnages like start conditions, etc would not get copied from one system to another, only the basic template is copied (tasks, container etc).
    Best approach is to move the workbench and customizing TRs from one system to another.
    Hope this helps!

    Saumya

  • Open conversions in data dictionary

    Dear experts,
    We have been trying to install an ST-PI package in an SAP system.However,it gives a warning saying "Open conversions in data dictionary". It says - Some open conversion requests still exists for the following ABAP data dictionary objects.To avoid inconsistencies and data losses you must process these conversions first.
    Further it asks us to run the transaction SE14 which points towards the table GLPCA and says Index Z1 does not exist.
    What can be the cause behind this?I do not have an ABAP background.So,hoping if you could help me out.

  • List of all objects in the data dictionary

    How to capture the list of all objects in the data dictionary named like PSDFDI and verify they are granted to the FDIREADR role

    See the database security guide http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/network.111/b28531/authorization.htm#BABFHBFH
    Finding Information About User Privileges and Roles
    This section discusses the system views that have the grant information.
    The tricky part of this is that because roles can be granted to other roles the data is hierarchical.
    So start with the grants made to the FDIREADR role. So referring to the doc above;
    select * from role_role_privs where role = 'FDIREADR'will list the roles granted to your role.
    You will want to look at ROLE_ROLE_PRIVS, ROLE_TAB_PRIVS and ROLE_SYS_PRIVS.
    I suggest you walk thru the views manually to see how the information is related. Then write a test script that queries the views for you.

    Dear All,
    I would like to know the data dictionary for directory objects. Or where i can get more details of directory objects.
    Thanks in advance
    Balaji

    Hi,
    YOu can use dba_directories view to get info about directory.
    For other views
    1.select * from tab where tname like '%DIRECT%';
    2.select * from dictionary where table_name like '%DIRECT%';
    Regards

  • Can I download my data from an iphone to another device, edit it and then upload it back to the iphone?

    Can I download my data from an iphone to another device, edit it and then upload it back to the iPhone?
    I want to free up memory?

    IT depends on what "data" you are asking about.
    if you are having storage issues on your phone, I would be happy to make suggestions.
    You can store pictures and documents in Dropbox or Google drive.  These are cloud storage apps that keep your information stored off the phone, but available any time.  You can send pages documents to either app in a different format for editing.
    make sure you delete old messages, phone logs, email, as they take up space also.
