Downloading new version of itunes and it crashes my internet. Ipod touch will not run with out new version. Have done many system restores and reset internet settings but still crashes net when i download any version HELP please
running windows vista prem. every time i try and down load the new version of itunes to laptop the net crashes when instalation is complete.
Unable to conect to the net and so unable to sync new ipod touch i then run a system restore.Then try and install itunes again . same thing happenes again

Why won't it sync? Are you getting any sort of error message during the sync process? If so what is the exact wording of that error message? If this the computer you normally sync the iPod with?

Check USB connections
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
Common errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response”, and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you see your error after changing your USB connections, continue to the next section to troubleshoot your hardware. -
As said in the question, my ipod touch will not connect to the newest version of itunes. When I plug it in, my compter recognizes that a device has been connected, yet it will not show up in itunes. I didn't have this problem until I just updated to the new itunes. Someone help please!

I have recently updated itunes and on the back of doing so my Ipod touch will not sync my library. The Ipod itself is a couple of years old but using iOS 6.1.6.
I have deleted and re-installed Itunes. I have wiped my Ipod to start again. I have set it to sync over Wi-fi and nothing has worked. I physically plug the Ipod in and it gets detected. If I change a setting and click apply it briefly says syncing and then nothing.
I have set automatically download Itunes songs etc etc etc and absolutely nothing seems to get it to sync!

The iPod Classic I bought a month ago is not synching with my new Mac Book I bought 3 weeks ago. All the software was immediately updated. My iPhone 5 synchs fine, and so does my 2nd generaton iPod Touch. The original computer I synched all of these devices on was my HP latop. I bought my Mac and Classic to the Apple Store for a 'Genius Appt' and they could not figure out what the problem is. The connected my Classic to another computer and the same thing happens. It says device is not recognized. They also took other iPod Classics and connected them to my Mac and other Macs. The same thing was happening. They took notes and said it probably is an iTunes update issue.
I can manually drag songs into my Classic but I lost all playlists because it cannot be backed up as well and they had to restore it. For now I am holding on to it but it's usless to me if I cannot use it the way I liked too. I used it for the gym and bike riding and my last iPod battery died after 6 years. A charge would last 45 miutes. I love the Classic for what I use it for but it's a $275 brick to me now. At least the renewed by receipt so I can get a full refund.
Is anyone else seeing this issue ? The Apple Store employee said he saw a first generation iPad havng the same issue. As of now the Support Dest is unaware of this. As much as I love my new Mac I am disappointed I cannot sync my new Classic to it. Total bummer.
Any help would be apprecated.By the way, I totally restored everything. It was ok. It starts to 'unrecognize' my iPod Classic when it comes to synching with iPhoto. After this happened all the menus disappeared from my iPod (music, Podcasts, movies synched fine). It seems to be a problem when synching with iPhoto. It was the same thing before.

I have elements 5 on a vista pc. Elements will not open I receive the message "Attempt to access invalid address". I have re-installed but still receive the same message. Any ideas please.
Make sure your user account has full administrative permissions. Then, at this stage of the game, I would take the following steps:
- Re-create the Preferences file following these instructions:
Re-create the Photoshop Elements preferences file to eliminate problems that a damaged preferences file might cause.
Note: When you use this solution, Photoshop Elements will create a new preferences file and you will lose custom settings associated with your current preferences file. However, the file you rename in step 2 is your original preferences file. If you determine that the preferences file is not causing the problem, then you can restore your custom settings by undoing the instructions below.
To re-create the Photoshop Elements preferences file:
Quit Photoshop Elements.
Locate the Adobe Photoshop Elements preferences files. In Photoshop Elements 5.0, there are two preferences files, one for Organizer and one for Editor:
Users\[ user ]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Organizer\psa.prf
Users\[ user ]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Editor\Photoshop Elements 5 Prefs.psp

I doubt that this will fix your problem, however, it is always the first thing to try. If it does not, take these steps:
- Uninstall Photoshop Elements
- Run the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301)
- Reinstall Elements
- Reinstall the 5.0.2 patch

Roomate deleted most of my music on my ipod touch and now it will not sync with itunes when I try to put the music back on.
- First try resetting the iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- have you tried a different cable/USP port?

iTunes 11 works with all model iPods.
If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar

Can you tell us more about your issue?
Are you using a mac or pc? Do you know if your computer has usb 2.0 ? or better?
Do you have itunes installed on the computer? Have you checked to make sure itunes is up to date? Dose your computer recongise the iPod Touch when you connec it to the computer? if so, what happens when you connect it?
I'm trying to figure out where your having trouble with syncing. -
IPod Touch will not sync with iTunes on new computer
I recently got a new computer (Dell to HP, which shouldn't make any difference). I downloaded iTunes on the new computer and was able to get all my music, tv shows, and movies onto my new computer using a Flash Drive.
I have contacted iTunes help twice now and they have basically given me nothing to work with. I have all the updated software (2.2.1 or so), and I have restore my iPod Touch about 3 times because I was told this would work.
When I try to sync my iPod Touch, it tells me that it could not sync because certain songs "could not be found". I have every single one of my purchases and stuff from CDs on my iTunes and I just want this fixed so I can use my iPod Touch again.
My iPod is now empty except for a few applications and pictures that, for some reason, were able to get past all that and can be synced. If anyone has had this problem, please please please help me. I am getting very close to ripping my hair out with frustration and/or throwing my iPod Touch out of the window.unless you do TWO (and I mean BOTH) things... 1) put the audio files in the same path as on the old laptop... and 2) copied over (or exported) library info, you will have to do something else... and all it is, is to tell the itunes to "add folder".
Once you add the folder, just consolidate it.
When I bought my new laptop, I had copied my music library and the extra account information. I restored the account info, but put my music in a different location (on a completely separate drive, which has saved me a few times since). So I had to change the preferences to point to the correct location, and it picked up ALL the songs.
I've since done a recovery on my new laptop a few times... and unfortunately I didn't save a copy of the account info (my old laptop has "glitched" out since, and I have no access to that info either). So even though my music is still there, I have to tell iTunes to "add folder", even though I changed the preferences to use that same folder as its library. -

Just purchased new IPod Touch (purchased 6-3-14 - had a Classic until it fried). After setting it up, I tried to sync to ITunes and it says it syncs but does nothing. No music transferred to IPod. Welcome to Apple Support Communities!
It sounds like your iPod touch is recognized and syncing, but it isn't transferring the content that you expect to be transferred. Take a look at the article linked below, it will show you how to select the iPhone in iTunes and where the tabs are (second picture) that control what is synced to the iPod.

Sync using USB
Open iTunes.

Some tabs may not appear if you don't have the corresponding content in your library. For example, if you don't have any podcasts in your library, the Podcast tab won't appear.
