How do I actually USE a drag and drop slide swap site. Have received link to
jQuery Cycle2 or Wow Slider
They seem intersting but can't see how to get the images up and running on DW CS6

Is there a way to make drag and drop slides behave like question slides?
I created a drag and drop interaction that I want to include in an assessment with other quiz questions. I am having two problems
1. The submit and reset buttons do not display for the full 3.0s duration of the slide. Once the user clicks submit, the feedback caption displays and the buttons disappear.
2. The slide auto advances to the next question. I want the slide pause until the user "clicks anywhere to continue."
Does anyone know a work around to get a drag and drop slide to mimic question slide behavior?

The HTML5 trackers doesn't tell you every feature that is not supported, sorry. It will never tell you that a lot of Effects are not supported either. There is an 'incomplete' list of supported features in the Help documentation. Here is my list (bit rough, no nice layout, sorry)

Reg Drag and Drop Feedback in Captivate 7
Hi,
I have a drag and drop in a slide (Captivate 7) as a knowledge check.
Problem: I need a drag and drop interaction's correct feedback to reset when the learner returns to the drag and drop slide later or clicks the back button from the next slide. Currently the correct feedback is present.
Background: The learner completes the drag and drop and gets the 'Correct!' feedback from show action and 'Incorrect' feedback from the existing captivate failure feedback. The learner then continues the lesson by going to the next slide. The problem is that, if the learner returns to the drag and drop, the 'Correct!' feedback still shows even though the drag source items have reset to their original locations and the learner can redo the drag and drop interaction. Clicking the 'Reset' button does not remove the existing 'Correct!' feedback. Even if the learner redoes the interaction and does the opposite (e.g. if the learner got it wrong the first time, but then gets it correct this second time), the existing feedback does not change from 'Correct.'
Any ideas on how to fix this? I understand we have to create advanced actions. Please tell me the exact steps in this instance and whether i have to execute the actions on enter or exit.
Note: I tired to read the posts related to this. But creating the advanced options step was not given.

Unlike quiz questions, the Success and Failure Captions for drag and drop interactions appear to have Item Names which suggests they can be hidden via Advanced Actions. You should try setting an On Slide Enter action to hide them and see if that resolves your issue. -

If there have any solution? ThanksYou might need to do this as a two-step process. As Lieve points out, you can perform an action on drop of each object, but you also get the opportunity to perform another action when the entire interaction is submitted for evaluation.
So you could use the individual drop actions to set the value of user variables you set up to track which object is getting dropped, and then you could use the Submit action to SHOW or HIDE images based on the values of these user variables.
However, where things might run get tricky is setting up the Advanced Actions to register exactly which target received which drag object to determine whether it was a correct match or not and then execute an appropriate action. The Submit action usually only registers whether the overall interaction should be marked Success or Fail. It doesn't give you any real breakdown as to which drag objects were placed on which targets. You would need to call up the Accepted Drag Sources dialog for a given Drop Target and specify an Action to perform if the Target accepts that particular object, e.g. to set the value of a tracking variable.
What I'm trying to say here is that this can get a little complex. So don't expect everything to fall into place immediately. You may need to fiddle around quite a bit to get it working exactly the way you want. -
I need to play a song in a row in a Keynote presentation, how do I do this ? I use to drag and drop the mp3 in Keynote but it stops playing when the slide move to the other one... how can I make the song keep playing through out the presentation ?

Master Slide issue - drag and drop alt slide over theme slide
Keynote on my MacPro: Where before on the previous version I could in Master Slides drag and drop an alternative look over a theme slide to change that slide only and no affecting the entire presentation which was most useful, now that seems no longer an option unless there's something I can't find to do that. When viewing Master Slides now you cannot see the presentation you're working on. Previously I would set up several slides with different looks and where needed drop that look over a slide and it would override the theme slide without all slides being affected. Qny thought guys? Barry
Although I have been answering quite a lot of questions about Drag&Drop functionality (not a widget), you are the first to mention such problems. Personally I never had problems, only when not respecting the design of the interaction or doing something stupid. If you are the only user to have such experience (at least for what I hear in these forums and on social media), I don't see why an upgrade should be expected? Did you log the problem? Are you sure that the project is not corrupted?
The jigsaw learning interaction is pretty simple, also limited, don't know what are your problems there?
Are you sure that all objects used in the D&D (drag sources and drop targets) are visible in output. It is a bit confusing in CP8 because the eye icon is used both for visible in output for objects in Properties panel, and for showing the links in D&D in the D&D panel. Can you see the links? Did you avoid overlapping of objects? Did you not rename an object after creating the D&D interaction, because that will break the link from/to that object? I mentioned this in my last article: Drag&Drop tips - Captivate blog

How do I get the student's answers to show on the next slide for drag and drop interaction?
I'm working with Captivate 7 on a computer running Windows 8.
I created a simple, one-to-one drag and drop activity using the Drag and Drop Wizard.
I want the student's answers to show on the next slide. Specifically, I want the drop source to show with the drag target that the student connected to the drag source. This way the student can review his/her answers while the program discusses the correct answers.
Is there anyway to do this?* You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden (View > Toolbars > Customize or right-click a toolbar).
* If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily. -
How to add Two incorrect feedbacks in Drag and drop in captivate 7.
Hi
I want to show two different incorrect feedback in drag and drop interaction in Captivate 7. Currently we can show only one even though i have increased the drag and drop attempts to 2. I want to show a try again feedback and incorrect feedback with correct options and this should not be there when the learner re-visits this slide.
Note: I am already using a success caption and have executed the action - "On Enter" to "Hide" this success caption.

You understanding is correct. But,it is not even necessary to show the correct sources on correct targets along with the feedback... the correct option numbers in incorrect feedback will do.
reg point number 3, if I revisit the slide, the feedback are still displayed. For example, in this case, I added a correct feedback, but when I revisit the slide, the feedback was still appearing. So I added this action "On Enter" to "Hide" this success caption. So that is why i told specifically that none of the feed backs should be there when i revisit the slide.

How do i drag indicator control type on WPF instead of using Drag and Drop points
In my WPF application, i have a window which is docked with the screen. i want to automate to expand the window using an Indicator control type, by sliding it. As of now i use StartDrag and StopDrag using specific points, which is not correct when it runs
in many other screens.

Do you mean that the control of the WPF is invisible and you want to set the window display size to make it visible? If so, I think you could use the Mouse.MoveScrollWheel Method to change the windows view until the control is visible. The link below might

Really stupid that you can't drag and drop photos from Finder into Events
There is no way in iPhoto to do what I want and need to to, to wit, drag and drop photos from the Finder into existing iPhoto Events.
It really doesn't make sense that you can't do this. First of all, calling these groups Events to begin with is not smart; in my case, a group of photos in a folder on the Finder is rarely all from one photo session or so-called "event"--- instead of Events they should just be called Groups or something, and you should be able to drop individual photos into them. I have thousands of family photos that were accumulated on my hard drives over the years, some scanned in from film negatives, slides, or prints, others from digital cameras, and when I have changed Macs and hard drives over the years, every time a folder of photos was moved from an old hard drive to a new one, or regrouped into various folders, the photos seem to have acquired new dates of origin, etc.
Anyway, what I mean is, if Events are all time based, then somebody like me who has thousands of photos with all sorts of dates of origin, mostly unrelated to the date that the photo was actually shot, is screwed. I have old photos with new dates of origin and other mismatches between photos and the dates when they were actually shot or scanned.
My gripe is, again, that when I find photos on my hard drives that belong in certain iPhoto Events that have already been created, I cannot just drag these photos from the Finder and drop them into the Events they belong in. Instead, the stupid program creates a new Event from each photo I try to drop into an existing Event. That means I have to chase these new photos all over the place inside of iPhoto, trying to figure out where each new photo (now called an "Event") has ended up, so that I can drag and merge it into the Event I wanted it to go into in the first place. A real pain in the neck. It simply takes too long to do this for each photo added.
What this means is that iPhoto is not going to be a practical way to organize for a person like me until Apple makes it possible to simply drop any photo from the Finder into an existing Event. There should be an option to allow that. I'm really surprised there is not one. <edited out by Hosts>
TomTom, iPhoto will not overwrite photos with the same name. I have plenty of photos with the same name in the same event. Each photo most likely has an internal handler that manages the photo, and not just the name of the file.
I agree with you that this is sub-optimal, and (IMO) I think what happened is iPhoto 6 had rolls, and they came up with a really cool interface for mousing over those rolls, and decided it was more consumer friendly (and because film is a thing of the past) to call them events, rather than rolls. I think it was worth a shot, but they just slightly missed.
Right now in iPhoto08, any serious organization is done in folders and albums. Personally, I think they need to combine the two concepts -- the great "mouse over" view of events with the organization abilities of folders and albums. I'd like an albums view where I can mouse over the albums. Actually, Aperture 2's interface for organization is more functional than iPhoto, so I am hoping some of that benefit creeps into the next iPhoto release.
What I do is: I use events for high level grouping (like Winter 2007) and I organize folders and albums to break that down further ("trip to Montreal" "Christmas" etc.). But I do it backwards. I fill albums first, then I organize events.
When I drag in pictures to iPhoto, first I make the target album in iPhoto that I want to populate, then I drag the photo directly to that album (not to events). iPhoto automatically puts the photo into the album I created and also into a new event. Later, I go into events, right-click on this new event to "open event in separate window" then I move around the events view, to drop in the pictures from the "import" event I just created. If I move all the pictures into other events, iPhoto automatically deletes the event I just emptied. You could skip the event organization all together if you wanted to, but you'd lose the cool mouse-over feature, which can be handy.
One nice thing about having events AND albums is you can have the photo just once in iPhoto, in an event, but then have the photo appear in as many albums as you want (as well as projects and web galleries) all while only having one photo on your hard drive. So, there are benefits to events, but I think iPhoto is missing just a couple little bits of organizational ability to make it perfect. (and yes, I've submitted this all to Apple as feature requests)
Just in case you don't know -- events don't have any hierarchy. That is, you can't nest events. But you can have folders with subfolders, and any folder can contain albums. Albums cannot have sub-albums, and folders don't hold photos. Only albums hold photos, and folders (or sub-folders) hold albums. Try create some folders and albums and you'll get the hang of it. One other issue that Apple needs to address. When you create a new folder or album, it doesn't put it right where you want it, but rather puts it at the bottom of the list, so you have to drag it up to where you want it. Try it out, and you'll see what I mean, then submit it as a feature request to improve that.
I agree it's not perfect, but it's not too bad once you get used to it. And the benefits of working with the rest of the features of iPhoto is worth it. I'm just really hoping they do a few tweaks on the next release. They are near greatness here. They could just use a little nudge on the last bits. (in my opinion of course. Others may disagree, but I've talked to enough people who have the same issues you are having to know we are not alone on this). -

I am creating a software training module. One of my exercises
requires my users to re-order some columns by dragging and
dropping. If I record in training simulation, is there a way to
capture drag and drop? Or do I just need to create a click zone on
the column header and then jump to the next slide where the column
is in its correct location?Capture of a drag and drop action should be automatic if all
defaults are left. There is a feature called "full-motion"
recording that is automatically invoked whenever a
left-click-and-hold action is detected by Captivate - during the
Recording function.
Note the "full-motion" I am referring to is NOT the same as
using the "Full Motion" recording

HT203128 I can't drag and drop music from iTunes 12 to iOS 8 iPhone 5s. How do I move music now?
I connect the iPhone to itunes. that works. Everything shows up fine, but I can't drag and drop music from the 'music' section of iTunes 12 on my new mbp or my iMac. I used to be able to. Also, when I slide to delete songs on the iPhone, they still appear as 'ghosts' in the list on iTunes when the phone is connected - if I double click them, a exclamation mark in a circle comes up on the left of the track and it doesn't play. Can anyone help? Kind of need to get this sorted - it's bloody frustrating. I've restarted iPhone, iMac, MBP, downloaded the latest versions of iOS, OS X 10.10.3.
you iphone does not work like a regular ipod, where you can drag and drop music, you must sync it with itunes. plug it into your computer, click on the icon that is labeled iphone. when you do this there is a section on the top that says music. click on that, then you can select playlists and artists, etc. then click apply. it should work then

Captivate 8: I have created an assessment with two multiple choice question slides and eight drag and drop question slides. After the learner views their score, I would like them to be able to review all of their answers to see where errors were made. Currently, the review quiz only shows their answers and the correct answers for Multiple choice question slides. Ideally, I would like a review of the drag and drop question slides where the incorrect choices are outlined in red or something to this effect. I appreciate any insight and suggestions!
Sorry, D&D is not a normal question slide and I can only recommend logging a feature request. I would really like to be able to choose whether an interaction is reset or not, because this problem doesn't exist only for D&D but for all learning interactions as well.

Does anyone know if there is a way to reset a drag and drop interaction through an On Enter action?
Here's the need:
The learner does the drag and drop interaction.
They continue through the rest of the module.
They choose to restart the module with everything cleared out.
Right Now: They get to the slide with the drag and drop interaction and the previous answers are there.
What I Need: They get to the slide and the drag and drop interaction is back to its original state.
Is this possible? If so, does anyone know how to do it (without the learner having to click Reset?)

As my requirement is such that I do not want any image to be shown aruond next to cursor, so I set Image field to null.
On windows it does not show any block (Image) but on Mac it does :(.
