Dragging link in: DataFlavors contain URL but I need the URL plus link text
Hello!
In IE under Windows, suppose I have loaded a webpage that contains the following:
click here
If I drag this link to the desktop (or use "Copy Shortcut"/"Paste"), a .url file is created -- a Windows "shortcut". This file CONTAINS, among other things, "target.html". Windows/IE NAMES the file "click here.url".
I have a DropTarget which is accepting links dragged from IE. It seems the DataFlavors are ONLY representing the target URL ("target.html"). I cannot locate the link text ("click here") anywhere.
Does anyone know if there is a way to get the link text?
I am hoping (eventually) to find a cross-platform/cross-browser solution, but right now I'm just working with Windows/IE.

Hi, I also need to be able to get the "title" attribute associated with an html <a> tag containing an "href" that is being dragged to a Swing component/application from the web browser. Did you ever get a resolution to this? Thanks...

It's asking you for my apple id password. not going to give that out, sorry.
However I did try this projector on my mother in laws iphone 4 and on my old iphone 3. ipico software isn't needed. plug and play any video through standard movie player or camera saved video.
I tried on my girls iphone 5 with the adapter. The ipico software and projector doesn't work on this phone.
Hope this helped you. Better to buy a used iphone 3 or 4 and use it for video storage.
I also found that the battery on these projectors are a joke (30-60mins max). I rigged a longer lasting battery on the outside and keep it plugged in while using. This doesn't charge the phone though so I replaced the battery in the old iphone 3 and now get at least a full length movie from it. Great in bed projected onto the ceiling.

blackyam...thank you for the ipico software. When I try to authorize my computer for it it says that I need to fill in the password for *******@yahoo.com. I can't seem to get it to work with my email and password. Do you know anything about this or do you know *******@yahoo.com's password?thx, Chris

How can I get the ai. file? I've made a drawing for a company who would like to use it on a shirt. But they need the ai file. I made it with adobe illustrator for ipad.
Unfortunately logging into your account won't help, because then I don't have access to Illustrator.
I was just trying around a little if you could share it with me, but unfortunately sharing doesn't seem to work with Draw files. You could try and find someone near you who also has an iPad and Illustrator and then try to send it to them via AirDrop. But I don't know if that actually shares the file or just a PNG.
Maybe someone on the Draw forum has an idea how you could send the file to someone else.

How to restore older backups? I can only access the latest backup but I need the one before that.
You would only have that backup if you saved it somewhere.
Itunes only keeps the latest one. -

How do I get a refund for a book when I wanted the audio book? I bought both but only need the audio book. I don't even know how to use the book. The only reason that I bought it was it was cheaper and I thought that it was the audio book.

i forgot my restrictions passcode for my ipad. under settings i went to "erase all content and settings" but it needs the passcode. how do i restart my ipad so it can go back to normal? i dont care about losing everything on it
Try and force the iPad Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times. -

A Sprint iPhone can only be used with Sprint. It cannot be unlocked, except by Sprint. And they will only unlock it for use outside of the US, and only if you are a Sprint customer. The phone is useless to you if you don't want to use it with Sprint. Return it for a refund.

Now it's stuck with the progress bar less than a quarter full. I have also tried resetting through itunes which works right up to the point where itunes states that it needs the passcode to be inputted into the ipad to connect to it. At which point it then sticks at the same progress bar point. HELP!! please, this ipad is really important to my work.
Well the term "hotlined" I have never heard before. In any case many states (like NY) just passed regulatory powers to the State Public Service Commission of which it may be called something different in your state. You could file a complaint with them. Or file a complaint with your state attorney generals office, they also take on wireless providers.
The problem here is the staff you speak to are poorly trained, in days gone by it took one call to them and they pulled up your account and see the error and had the authority to remove any errors. They did not remove legitimate account actions, but used their heads instead of putting a customer off or worse lying to the customer.
Its a shame you have to go through what you going through.

I feel as though I am forced into repairing the iphone before I can backup the information (photos, videos, contacts). If the apple ID on the device is the same as the one on my iMac I do not understand why I have to unlock the iphone by typing in the 4 digit passcode. This is a little ******** as having the screen break seems to be the usual prpblem with the iphone, I want to be able to backup my files when I feel the obvious need to do so (eg. when it breaks)! I also believe I shouldn't have to use other apps for backing it up (which I obviously have to pay for).. I am rather angry with this issue.Okay folkes, you were right and I was wrong.. I admit it. But I was pretty mad though when I tryed to backup the last few contacts I needed for work and couldn't do so. Worst things are when something gets broken (by me or whatever) when there is an emergency. I needed the contacts off of that phone real fast and couldn't do it, thats what got me real mad. And btw I am a Russian living in Moscow and instead of having an official Apple store we have shopes called ReStore who resell apple devices with ridiculous prices, same thing with the repairs. It is cheaper to sometimes buy a new iphone then repair an old one.. So there.. but I repaired it and now happy again with my apple device.. Also I know the itunes and icloud are free and I do back it up, this time however I couldn't use them and had to try the iphone extractor app, which is not free. There.. You can turn it into the police. That's all you can do.
Security measures in iOS 7 will prevent you from ever being able to use it. This is intentional.
Turn it in to the police, and hopefully, the rightful owner will claim it.
