Drill down in Graphic Builder

Hi,
Can you drill down from a chart in the Graphic Builder to report in the Report Builder. If yes can someone please help?
Thanks

Just a tip:
If you're working inside a af:region + ADF task flows, you have to declare your attributes as a input parameters and after that you'll be able to auto complete inside jspx or jsff pages.

  • Drill Down Error / Report Builder Limitations

I have been having alot of problems recently with the new
version of 7.0.2. A few things that i have noticed is that i can't
do drill downs anymore. I don't think it's a coding issue since it
was working in the previous 2 releases of Report Builder(7.0,
    7.0.1).
Another problem is that I have reports that return around
1,000 pages. Now, I know there is a limitation on Flash Paper/Flash
Player, whoever i was wondering if there is a work around or
something i can do to get this reports to finish. Right now I get
the error roughly stating "A script has cause this flash movie to
become unstable and if you continue it might make the computer
unresponsive". Currently the only work around that i have is to
offer the same report in PDF format, however 90% of our customers
want to run it in flash paper, and my boss wonts it to work using
    flash paper aswell.
Any sugguestions that you might have or anything please email
me. If you have any questions please email me aswell.
    Thank you,
    Daniel

Yeah, still having this issue... Can't get the links working
in Flash Paper. A temp fix is to have the report in PDF instead of
    Flash.

  • Drill-down lost in Report Builder

Ever since the CFMX7.02 upgrade, we have lost the ability to
drill-down on the Report Builder reports which previously had
drill-down capability. I am referring to summary lines which
contained a link to the detail. Has anyone experienced this and is
    there a fix for it?

Do you choose PDF instead of flash paper as the output
format? By some reason, the drill-down function does not work in
    flash paper format.
    Good luck,

  • Drill Down Charts - Oracle Graphics

My understanding of drill down chart is when
you click on the particular chart element in the Master chart the Detail chart should show up.
But in my situation when I choose run from layout editor in oracle graphics, first the Master chart appears and then it automatically refreshes it with the Detail chart without user intervention. The Master
chart appears as a minimized window.
I am passing parameter between the Master chart and the detail chart.
Could anyone tell me how to solve this
and get the effect of drill down from
Master Chart to show up the Detail Chart Please ?
    Thanks
    Mohan

    Hi Pradeep,
You can careate your own dirlldown chart reports like :
--Create a report using xtreem sample database
--Crate two groups like Country & Reagion and use Yearly sales in your charts
--Place a bar graph on your Country group footer and Region group footer.
--Use Hide(Drill Down Ok) option for region group footer and suppress all other empty sections.
--Now try to drill down through Country group to Region group.
You will have to go through only help documents on drill down options in Crystal.
You have to create a ODBC connection on server end also copy the xtreem database on your server to run you reports in infoview.
Yes Crystal Reports 2008 supports multi level drill down.
    Thanks,
    Sastry

  • OBIEE 11g: Build a drill down detail on the count of records

    Hello:
I have a summary report based on certain criteria shows the count of certain number of records for example, count(sales_id).
Region (North), Product Category(ABC) -> 15 (Sales record count using count(sales_id))
I want the ability to provide another detail report which will be the drill down of 15 that shows 15 sales records in detail.
The detail report will be invoked using the Action Link which has the BI navigation from the Measure Column (that has 15) to pass the list of sales_id's as the prompted filter based on the analysis results from the summary report.
Any idea on what I need to do in the summary report to pass the list of sales id's instead of the count 15? I do not want to display the sales_id's in the summary report.
    Thanks

SankarIn your example, each of the 15 sales IDs are in the same Product Category (ABC), yes? So put the action link on this column instead of the measure (so ABC in this example would be the link). In the detail report, you will need to include the Sales ID column in order to produce the 15 rows, but you can hide it so it doesn't show up on the report. (The reason you want to include the sales ID in the destination report is because the measure column would break out the rows only assuming there are no measures that are the same. If they are the same, they might roll up so having the sales ID in the report ensures that the rows remain distinct.)

  • Issues in building two level drill down

    Hi All,
I have built a sample two level drill down dashboard using two combo boxes which filters the data after each drill. I'm facing three issues here.
    1.
I have placed both combo boxes behind 3rd chart but it's visible while I'm on 3rd chart as shown below.
    2. When we click on chart two, it inserts the data(item on which we have clicked) into a cell. The second combo box uses the data in that cell an filters data in chart2 and serves to chart3. If I'm not using(visible in above image with ##) a grid to see the data in that cell, the back button being shown on chart 3 is not working(It goes back and comes to chart3 again immediately).
    3. I'm hiding the combo boxes using dynamic visibility (with such condition that never gets satisfied) since I do not want to show those combo boxes to user. But, this also affecting the drill. I'm not able to see any data in chart2 which was visible when I didnt hide the combo box1 with dynamic visibility. Do dynamic visibility also hides functionality ?? I don't think so because it is pushing the label selected into a cell which I was observing.
    Please help.

    Hi Nikhil
The xlf you sent had one of the Pie charts as the most top component in the list and hence it was showing up. The order was not same as the screenshot.
Once I moved the combo-box to back it worked fine.
The Dynamic visibility makes a component inactive or active = not just visible to eye. So if you make it invisible it will not function too. So dont make the Combo boxes invisible. They need to stay visible when they need to work. So you have to use the chart's background or an actual background to hide it.
Why the grid helps - very strange I think it picks up the blank and inserts there again. Not sure. But Pie or any chart without the ability to bind the Item Selected - behaves this way - once you have clicked a value it remains clicked so even when it went invisible and came back to visible it remembers the selection. Thats why soon after BACK inserts blank in cell B7 the Pie chart 2 inserts the last selected value there and changes the logic.
You seem to have solved a huge problem by using the grid. So keep that in place and hide it behind a background.
    Thanks

  • Drill down ( Collapsible Row ) Report in BEx query designer ?

    Dear Friends!
I am supoosed to create a report drill down report for Purchasing History to be precise,  I know that we can have drill down feature using heirarchy but is it possible for Us to have PO & PO item heirarachy ? or any other way to do drill down reporting in SAP BEx Query designer ?
like my current report is : -
    | Vendor | Purchasing Organisation | Purchasing Group | Plant | PO Number | Item | Material / Service | Description | .... ( keyfigures) |
Now I am supposed to create a report  in which
    normal view
    | Vendor | Purchasing Organisation | Purchasing Group | Plant | |> PO Number| .... ( keyfigures) | Payment |
drill down or collapsible view ( please consider the heading as data I am not talking about dynamically change of  headings ).
    | Vendor | Purchasing Organisation | Purchasing Group | Plant | V PO Number | Item | Material / Service | Description | .... ( keyfigures) |
is there anyway to design the report in above mention manner ? you any input will be appreciated greatly.
    Thank you so much!
    Regards
    Naim

    Hi Naim,
usually we don't do the transactional data as hierarchy.  not sure the reason behind your requirement.
we can do one of the below :-
    1. To have the default view as
    | Vendor | Purchasing Organisation | Purchasing Group | Plant | | PO Number| .( keyfigures) | Payment |
and then user can drill down on rest of the characteristics for detailed view later on.
    2. or if they don't want to drill down on characteristics;-
we can build 2 reports , one for header level information and then jump to second query for detailed information(item level) using RRI.
    first query:
    | Vendor | Purchasing Organisation | Purchasing Group | Plant | | PO Number| .( keyfigures) | Payment |
    second query:
    | Vendor | Purchasing Organisation | Purchasing Group | Plant |  PO Number | Item | Material / Service | Description | .... ( keyfigures) |
Let us know if this works out?
    Regards,
    Sakthi.

  • Problem displaying drill down STANDARD ALV for a particular record after pressing back button

I have a simple interactive ALV grid report. NOT 'OO'. It display correctly on initial execution. AT the moment, 6 records. I want it to work such that if i click record '1', a drill-down version of that ALV with only that one record clicked is displayed. This currently occurs correctly. The problem arises when i click the back button and want to click on a new record, say in the 2nd row..this new 2nd row record is not displayed. The first one is displayed again. I tried clearing and fiddling around but then the last record is displayed. I have used the 'ID' field as a 'hotspot' getting picked up by sy-tabindex. Hi Ten Mariga,
I wonder why the second select Query is needed at all instead you can use
    ---> Not Needed
    FORM DATA_RETRIEVAL1.
SELECT * FROM zcontact INTO TABLE it_zcontact WHERE id EQ wa_zcontact-id.
    ENDFORM.
    ----> Instead you can do
       READ TABLE it_zcontact INTO wa_zcontact INDEX p_seltab-tabindex.
      Append wa_zcontact to Second_table.
And you can use the Second_table to display the second ALV. The second Select Query will affect the performance too.
    Cheers,
    Krishnakumar B.

  • How to get the 'hand' cursor on an ALV drill down report?

I have a drill down on PO # going to trans ME23N that is working great.
But I have noticed on my other drill downs (E.G for billing doc VF03) that when the report is displayed the drill down field value is a) underlined and b) has a 'Hand' appear when you place the cursor over the billing document field.
This does not happen on my PO # - it is not highlighted with an underscore, nor do you get the small hand  - but it does work when you double click the field.
The field I am using on the ALV report is RSEG-EBELN.  This is not a KEY field in the table - perhaps that is why it does not have the underscore and the 'hand'.
    Thanks!
    Scott

    Here it is.
When you build your field cat use the below code.
    DATA : x_fieldcat TYPE slis_fieldcat_alv.
    * Single click on the field will trigger double click event. Also, a hand
    * will appear when the cursor navigates to the field
      X_FIELDCAT-HOTSPOT = 'X'.

  • Linked report from second level drill-down level

    Hi,
I have a report with two drill-down levels, Dept Id and Job Id.
The requirement is when I am on Job Id drill level; I have to call another report when I click on any of the Job Id. This Job Id is passed to another report and the report is filtered based on that Job Id.
I created a hyperlink on Job Id drill down level successfully. But the problem is I am unable to go to the first level i.e Dept Id. Actually the hyperlink is displayed and the up arrow is not visible to go to the first level.
Is there any way where after creating a link on second level and opening the report in a new window, the drill up functionality can be maintained?
I am using Business Objects XI 3.1 version.
    Thank you.

    hi
there is another way to drill down the report of web intelligence.for that we have to customize in the universe level create a folder in custom hierarchy and add your two objects to that folder, i.e empid. and deptid. the order of these objects should be in the way the drilling happens that means if you want to drill down from empid. to deptid. then empid. should be the first object of the folder, save and export the universe to the CMS.Then it ready to use for webi report.Build the query for the report and enable the drill option in the report. Now the report is ready for your requirement.

  • How can i call one report from another report (Drill Down Approach)

    Hi Friends,
I've two reports in completely different layout format.
One is in Crosstab & another is in Tabular.
Now i want to call my Tabular report(report 1) from my Crosstab (report 2) without using BO's default drill down feature. Or, you can show using BO's feature if it supports my requirement.
    How to do that?
    Is it at all possible?
Please share your thoughts. Thanks in advance for your time.
    Regards.

    hi
you can use openDocument for this.
I would suggest to use variables that build the HTML code for the hyperlinks dynamically, and display them in your crosstab. Set the display option for the related cells (ie. the cells where your variables are displayed in) so that the cell's contents as interpreted as HTML code.
