Drill down in Pl Book

Hi
I am facing a weird problem in DP Pl book.
After i load a selection and drill down by a char by just 2 values in details(filter), it shows correct. Later when i second drill down by another char by just 2 values out of 10. It shows up all 10 values. I dont want to see like that.
Ex. if i first drill down  by 2 customers and again by 2 locations, it should show only 2 customers and 2 locations only. But it shows up all customers now with 2 locations.
Is it a bug ? also i observed one new thing. In Maintain user settings, under tab 'Pivot sorting', it has these 2 chars mentioned in it and also it has yellow light says superordinate settings found for pl book. I dont know exactly, where these superordinate settings were made ? I dont see anything on pivot sorting/ pivot sorting for KFs (when i rt click the small icon on the left corner of pl table).
and i am not able to delete those settings too under Pivot sorting tab.
Can anyone give me a clue where could be these superordinate settings are made ?
thx
venkat

hello srinivas,
I already tried deleting the chars in the pivot sorting, by selecting that red line icon, etc.. but it never saves and reappears again. So i observed that superordinate settings for the pl book. So i am confused what are these superordinate settings. Any idea pls.
thx

  • Drill down in Second grid of planning book

    Dear Team
    I have created a planning book with two grids.
    I want to enable drill down in second grid aswell.
    How can I get it done? Also if I want different chars to be used in drill down for first grid and different for second, will it be possible.
    I tried for following macro but it is not working -

  • No Drill Down for a keyfigure in the Planning Book

    Hi experts
    We have 5 key figures in planning book.One among five key figures is Supply information , the data will be in the level of Material and Plant level.
    We have 5 Characteristics such as product, Prod Grp, Plant, Region and Customer.
    I want to restrict the Supply Information Key figure not to drill down when user drill downs at Customer and Region Level.
    How to achieve the above functionality using Macro?
    Thanks
    Vicky

    Hi Sunitha
    Sorry for being late reply.
    As per your suggestion i created macro and it was working fine when i drill down but when i select keyfigure selection(magnifying glass) and filter some keyfigures  in Interactive demand planning  system is not showing blank screen without any  keyfigures.
    When i remove this macro from Level Change,  then i can able to use Keyfigure selection.
    What is this inconsistency?
    My GUI is 720 and Patch 4.
    any suggestion?

  • SNP Planning book capacity view -APO Product is blank in drill down

    Hi Experts,
    I am getting product blank when I am doing Header on/off drill down setting. Even when I am choosing Products from Display dependent objects, It drill down the second grid (Quantity View) and product is blank.
    Please let me know if anybody faced the same issue before. We are using version SCM 5.1
    Thanks & regards,
    Hitesh

    Hi,
    In the standard SNP planning area 9ASNP02, the relevant KF in Capacity view is  9ACASUP .
    There may be a conflict identified between selection and key figures to be read.
    You can choose a different selection condition or change to a different data view, and check if ti comes out correctly.

  • Drill Down Report using Crystal reports in eclipse and jspviewer

    Hi
    I want to understand how to write a drill down report since I have a requirement for my project, so I tried to run the sample drill down.rpt that is available with Crystal Reports 2008 Complete Reference book by George Peck.
    I can see the results correctly( i.e. can drill down) in the preview tab . Since I am working inside the eclipse, the way I run the reports is first  "Create report viewer JSP" by right clicking the report and have a url mapping to this jsp. I am running the reports from a hyperlink that maps to the url which will launch the jsp.
    the jsp is:-
    <%@ page contentType="text/html; charset=UTF-8" pageEncoding="ISO-8859-1" %><%@ taglib uri="/crystal-tags-reportviewer.tld" prefix="crviewer" %><crviewer:viewer reportSourceType="reportingComponent" viewerName="Drill Down-viewer" reportSourceVar="Drill Down" isOwnPage="true" allowDrillDown="true">
         <crviewer:report reportName="reports/Drill Down.rpt" />
    </crviewer:viewer>
    The one that was created by  "Create report viewer JSP" did not had "allowDrillDown" attribute at all .But I added it since it isnt working.
    So when I launch my web app and click on the link to run the report, I get the report results but only to the summary level. When I double click the summary level I get a 404 error page.
    Can please anyone suggest what is going on.
    Thanks
    poonam

    Ok. So, you added the report to the project. Now we have to add the CR assemblies to the project, add the viewer (if need be) and fire it off. Simplest code would be:
    Public Sub New()
            ' This call is required by the designer.
            InitializeComponent()
            ' Add any initialization after the InitializeComponent() call.
            CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = ("path to report")
        End Sub
    In this case you are using the viewer SDK to runt he report. The report will prompt for any logon parameters - but you can code these also. You can load the report via the engine as bellow. Again, the report will prompt. I prefer to use the engine as it is way more "extensible"...
    Public Sub New()
            ' This call is required by the designer.
            InitializeComponent()
            ' Add any initialization after the InitializeComponent() call.
            Dim crReportDocument As New CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument()
            crReportDocument.Load("path to report")
            'Bind the report to the viewer
            CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = crReportDocument
        End Sub
    If you have a report added to the project (strongly typed) the code would be:
    CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = New myReport()
    For more details, I'd recommend looking at the sample app vbnet_win_simplepreviewreport.zip available from the following location:

  • FI Drill down reports

    I am practicing SAP FICO configuration.... Can anyone give me an example of FI drill down reporting like financial statemnet comparision and also for profit center reporting ....jus some simple example to get the idea of drill down reports.

    Refer to the book from SAP.....If I remember correctly, its "SAP Reporting Made Easy". You can look for it in amazon.
    Though the reports in SAP are not clean, you can get some idea about reports and also how "not clean" they are.

  • Drill down in report

    I am looking to add some drill down functionality in one of my reports. Does anyone have an references (books, tutorials, or otherwise) that could provide an example. I'm running Reports 9i. TIA.

    Hi,
    One example you could look at is "Parameter form JSP".
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports/htdocs/getstart/examples/index.html
    In the example, you can search for customet name (eg, s%), then from the customer list you select one in order to view all its orders.
    If you want to use the paper layout and output to HTML / HTMLCSS, in that case you can use the Hyperlinks property to create drill-down. You can look at "Building Reports" manual section 2.2.6 for information on Hyperlinks. Create a master report with hyperlinks, and in each hyperlink you can pass the full report command for the detail report with the relevant master infromation, eg, the customer_id or the department_id.

  • Error in summation of Actuals for Drill Down Reports(SAP Standard Reports)

    While executing the Drill Down report (for e.g S_ALR_87013558) for a particular Project (e.g DWRES-C2005) it is observed that the Actual costs booked on the WBS element (DWRES-C2005-502) does not get rolled up to its higher level WBS Element(DWRES-C2005-501).
    This also does not get rolled up to the top WBS element (DWRES-C2005-500).As this is the case the summation for Actuals columns shows incorrect result.Result should have been (Actuals of DWRES-C2005-500 = Actuals of DWRES-C2005-501 + Actuals of DWRES-C2005-502 ).I have also tried the formatting of the Actuals columns in the Form of the report but I could not find any answer.Can anybody help me in this regard.

    Sorry, me again...
    I have found yet they way to show in the header the report parameters, I mean, the selection criterias that user used when execute the report... I was able to show selected characteristics inside de report but not the selection criteria...
    Do you know what I have lost? or what to use for this?
    Thanks again.

  • Drill Down in DP

    Hi,
    I want to make a copy using a macro.
    One option I tried was to drill down until the lowest levels, so I tried to use the drill down function.
    How can I see the effects of the drill down function in the interactive table (SDP94)?
    Is there an easier way to copy one Key Figure to another with the macros?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    I really not catch on hold to your requrierement, but as i understand to give you inputs on drill down
    1.  To copy keyfigure to keyfigture we no need to use a drill down macor, we can choose the level of copy during the macro run in background. Explore the options at /SAPAPO/MC8E.
    2. If wokring in interactive demand planning then to copy at some lower level probly we need to drill down and run the macro interactively
    3.I still agree we use drilldown macro to copy but that is really extreeme cases.
    4. we use drill down macro as a default macro on planning book, as many times to check the level and open a kefgire. let say, i want to open my Sales manager keyfigure only when the CVC is looking at Brand and customer level...., if any other level you are looking at the keyfigure is not ready for input.
    Let me know if you need any more information, as i am not clear on your requirement

  • Macro for same level of Drill down - Data in different grids

    Dear Team
    We have two characateristics of product - Product Line & Parent product Line.
    I have created a planning book with two girds -
    What I want is, in the first grid -
    The Revised plan for the PL (Product Line) = Forecast Share of PL  * Planned Production of the PPL (Parent product pine).
    The Planned Production production of all PPLs together (Sum) is available in second gird. But how do I write a macro to fetch Planned production of each PPL (From second grid) and write a macro to calculate the logic in first grid?
    E.g. in Above screen, the Planned Production of 60 is total Planned production of two PPLs (Indica =10 & Indigo = 50).
    So If I want to achieve to calculate revised plan for Indica V2 & Indica Vista which has share of 40 & 60 % resp, in order to calculate the revised plan as 40% of 10 & 60% of 10 , how do I write a Macro to drill down second grid and fetch value of 10 for PPL = Indica?

    Hi Anish,
    There is "Series Names Destination:" parameter on Drill-Down (Insertion) Tab of Bubble chart component. By using that parameter you can retrieve selected serie. Via that value you can extract selected serie's selected value and drill down to required selection via some excel formulas like index-match or vlookup-hlookup. I hope that solves your issue.

  • Drill Down with 2 tables

    OBIEE 11g
    Suppose I have 2 tables with both fact and dimensions contained.
    Table A has following columns:
    Category
    Count1
    Count2
    Count3
    Table B has following columns:
    Category
    Sub-Category
    Product
    SKU
    Count1
    Count2
    Count3
    I would like to create a report that uses both these tables as I will need to drill down as follows:
    Category-->Sub-Category-->Product-->SKU and get the corresponding counts.
    Is it better to have all these columns in only one table or can I use both the above tables and if so how.

  • Drill-down Report Customizations

    Hello!
    First, I'm thrilled having found this resource. I really hope someone can help guide me on the 'opportunity' I have here.
    I have created a Shared Analyses report. This report displays a count of Service Requests grouped by Primary and Secondary categories (type and sub-category, respectively)
    The report works great. However, the individual viewing the report has the ability to click on one of the rows and drill-down. The drill-down report lists the following fields:
    Type (primary category); sub-category; service request no.; service request ID; # of service requests (which, at this level, is always 1)
    The question - how can I modify that secondary report to make better sense? I'd like to essentially replace the '# of service requests' column with 'subject'. When I go in to manage analyses I can get to this report by clicking the preview and then clicking on one of the drill-down links (just as the end-user would). However, making changes and saving then results in have this secondary report as the one that shows rather than the top-level report.
    I do hope this makes sense. I appreciate any guidance in modifying the drill-down reports.

    Hi Weesie,
    I highly recommend that you order the CRMOD reporting book my Michael Lairson. That book is a great resource for these types of questions. You can find it on Amazon. This book answers this and many, many other questions you might have about designing custom reports. http://www.amazon.com/Oracle-Demand-Reporting-Osborne-ORACLE/dp/0071593047/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1273756620&sr=8-1
    Drilldown are managed in step 1 of the Build and Analysis window, via column properties. You can remove drilldowns (if you don't want them to show) by choosing "No Interaction" in the Value Interaction type field on the Column Format tab. You can also have them navigate to a custom designed report (which I think is your question) by choosing "Navigate" in the Value Interaction field and choosing the target under the "Add Navigation Target" capability (which shows up when you select Navigate).
    Good Luck and I strongly urge you to order Michael's book,
    Thom

  • Reporting Services Error after Interactive sorting and drill down in pps

    Hi
    i have a report  that has a drill down option that shows all workgroups within a specific  parent group and an interactive sorting ass well on both columns  parent group &  workgroup
    This is displayed  in pps combined with a SharePoint
    ---the problem is that after sorting the parent group column by name   i then press the drill through icon  (+) next to it hopping to see all workgroups related to each parent group
      - but instead
    i receive this Reporting Services Error  :
    The value for parameter 'SortItem' is not specified. It is either missing from the function call, or it is set to null. (rsMissingParameter) Get
    Online Help
    If I don't press the sorting and just drill through it works fine. the sorting itself also works fine.
    any suggestions ?

    Hi Hyaron,
    I am unable to reproduce the issue in my test environment. How did you add the drilldown feature? Were you doing that by setting visibility of the column or of the group? Please ensure to add the drilldown functionality by set the visibility of the workgroup
    from the Grouping Pane in the Report Designer.
    How did you add the Interactive Sorting on the headers of the two columns? Based on the drilldown functionality, the Interactive Sorting on the second column doesn’t work. So, you can move the Interactive Sorting on the second column. When configuring the
    Interactive sorting on the first column, you should set the parent group to sort, and sort by the field that the parent group groups by.
    Hope this helps.
