Drill down SAP history table on Linux

You may have noticed (or not noticed) that on some fields in SAP there is a History table that appears once you start entering (typing) information into the field.
The History table is a field box that appears underneath a field when you start entering information. An example of one of the fields is the Fund field.
This History table contains the last entries entered (by typing) into the field. Users have discovered that it allows a quick reference to regularly entered information.
This we i m observing on windows platform , but when i am using SAP on Linux fedora
same history table not creating.
Please help us to maintain history table in SAP on Linux fedora core 3 platform

Hi Vijay,
I assume you are talking about the history table for SAP GUI? If this is correct, please move your post to a forum like e.g. "ABAP Development".  This here is dedicated to KMC in the SAP Enterprise Portal.

  • Drill-down page from table

I've created a table by dragging a Named Criteria of a View Object over. However, the table is quite packed because there are many fields, hence many columns. I want to show only a few columns, and make a drill-down page, in a way that I can click on any row and go to a page that displays the remaining fields for that row. How can I achieve that? I'm using JDeveloper 11.1.2.2.0.

    Hi,
    1. Select the page in the Application Navigator
    2. Expand the table in the Structure Window
    3. Delete the columns you don't want to see
    4. Create a second page (or use a popup dialog)
    5. Drag and drop the same View Object as a table or form
    6. keep all columns or delete some
    7. Add a command link to the table on page 1
    8. Set the action property to match a navigation case you defined between page1 and page2
This is all it takes. The command link, whe added into a column to the table ensures the row is selected
Another option is to configure column freeze on the table. This way you can fix the columns that people always need to see and then allow them to use a horizontal scrollbar to scroll into the other

  • Drill Down with 2 tables

    OBIEE 11g
Suppose I have 2 tables with both fact and dimensions contained.
    Table A has following columns:
    Category
    Count1
    Count2
    Count3
    Table B has following columns:
    Category
    Sub-Category
    Product
    SKU
    Count1
    Count2
    Count3
I would like to create a report that uses both these tables as I will need to drill down as follows:
Category-->Sub-Category-->Product-->SKU and get the corresponding counts.
Is it better to have all these columns in only one table or can I use both the above tables and if so how.

    Check these

  • Drill Down in Pivot Table with item on page level

    Hi,
I've got a pivot table with Chart next to it. The chart is a separate view, I did not use the 'Chart pivoted results' option.
My pivot table has one Page Level item being the Month Name.
I now have the strange behavior that drilling down on the Pivot table elements gives me No Results as my filter would be too restrictive. The problem is with the 'Month Name'. Removing this item from the filter shows the correct data. When I use the chart next to my data to do the drilling I encounter no problems. This is because this way the restriction on the month name is not added when drilling.
Has anybody encountered this behavior before and knows of a way to solve this.
    Thanks for your advice,
    Kris

My query looks like this :
    SELECT TO_NUMBER (TO_CHAR (t1601.datum_prestatie, 'MM'), '99') AS c3,
    t1584.description AS c4, t1497.project_group AS c5,
    t1497.project_desc AS c6, t1497.project_code AS c7,
    CONCAT (CONCAT (t2241.firstname, ' '), t2241.lastname) AS c8,
    t2254.employee_number AS c9, t1601.duur AS c11,
    t1601.datum_prestatie AS c12
    FROM t_projects t1497 /* Dim_PROJECTS */,
    t_organization t1579 /* DimX_ORGANIZATION_Project */,
    t_organization t1584 /* DimX_ORGANIZATION_Project_Parent */,
    t_employees t2241 /* DimA_EMPLOYEE_Prestatie */,
    t_prestaties t2254 /* DimA_PRESTATIE_Project */,
    t_prestaties t1601 /* Fact_PRESTATIES */
    WHERE ( t1497.business_domain_code = t1579.department_code
    AND t1497.project_code = t1601.project_code
    AND t1497.project_code = t2254.project_code
    AND t1579.parent_department = t1584.department_code
    AND t2241.employee_number = t2254.employee_number
    AND t1584.description = 'Specialized Technologies'
AND t1497.project_group = 'SUPP AP TM'
    AND TO_NUMBER (TO_CHAR (t1601.datum_prestatie, 'MM'), '99') = 3
The last row being a check on the month number.
At the same time in OBIEE I get this :
    No Results
The specified criteria didn't result in any data. This is often caused by applying filters that are too restrictive or that contain incorrect values. Please check your Request Filters and try again. The filters currently being applied are shown below.
Divisie is equal to Specialized Technologies
and      Month is equal to 3
and      Project Group is equal to SUPP AP TM
and      Month Name is equal to Mar
The physical query doesn't even show the restriction on Month Name which makes it even more spooky...

  • Drill Down for multiple tables possible?

    Hi,
I have a web report with 3 tabs (Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly) sales reports.
Is there a way to have a user drill down on any one of the reports and have it also affect/drill down on the remaining reports?  I can get the functionality to work if the 3 tables are not in tabs.

are you using 7.0 or 3.x. I guess in 7.0 the Command is not executed against an invisible object. May you can try to to create a command sequence Show the items perfom drill down, and hide items.
    best regards,
    Kai

  • How to drill down and keep all my pivot table...

    Hello experts!
I have a question about how to drill-down in pivot table. If I drill-down I can see the result in the same place...but it dissapear other bins or measures...
    Example:
    Pivot table:
    A
    B
    C
If I click in A I can see:
    a1
    a2
    a3
    But I don't see B and C.
I would like to see when I click on A:
    A
    ---a1
    ---a2
    ---a3
    B
    C
In my example I have a lot of bins to do drill-down...so it doesn't work for me to create three pivot tables and to do a union...
Is that possible? If you need more details you can post here...
    Thank you!

Alex, this isn't another question. It looked like you were asking something different. That's why I said to start another thread. The bottom line is that OBIEE can't do what you are looking for.
But I think what is more important is not necessarily how to do what the OP wants, but what is the best way (read: most efficient, simplest, viable) to achieve the goal.
In this case, I think a better approach to your reporting is to use to Dashboard prompts. The first would be like Vehices (which has Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, etc. in the drop-down window) and the second, constrained on the first, called Models/Brands (which has values dependent on what is chosen in the first prompt). With "All Choices" checked off in the prompt design, you have all the combinations a user needs to see in the pivot table. If the user chooses "Cars" from the first prompt, and "All Choices" in the second, then he/she will get all the car models displayed in the pivot table. Or, the user could select one particular moded from the start.
In fact, this is how many product web sites are set up. This gives the flexibility to the user and the report looks clean and efficient. You can have the drill down on the particular model (value interaction) if you wish to supply extra data on the particular model chosen.
I think this is the "correct" answer, Alex, though not the answer to the question you posed. Good luck.

  • Xcelsius drill down problem.

Hi gurus, I'm developing drill down chart and table.
I want to reset, making cell blank, the drill down cell when i click combo box.
I used push button to refresh or reset drill down value but it can not refresh(reset) drill down cell
because the destination cell of the chart remains drill down value
    I tried like below way
    *Dashboard explanation
this dashboard consists of one chart, one table, one combo box and one push button.
Of course, chart has the drill down function
    a : drill down value
Goal : make drill down cell turn to blank after i used drill down once.
    1ST.
when i click the chart and use drii down, a is entered into drill down cell
    2ND
by using "push button", i tried to reset drill down cell
but unfortunately it does not work.
Although drill down cell changes instantly to blank after just one second, it changes to a, drill down value
Drill down cell changes like this
    1 -> 2 -> 3
    a -> blank -> a
i have to eliminate (2->3) phase or find another way to refresh drill down cell.
I think problem is the chart which remains drill down value(a) although pushbutton reset the drill down cell to blank.
Is there any way to refresh or reset drill down value when i click combo box?
Should i develop custom-component? i'm waiting for your answer.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Kwon

    Amit,
Can you confirm if what you're saying also holds for components with the "Enable Drill Down" option enabled, and the "Default Selection" is set to "No Selection (-1)"?
I'm running into an issue where the "Default Selection" value is not cleared out after performing 3 levels of drill-down. On the third time I do a drill-down, by default the first element is selected, even though I've set the "Default Selection" to "No Selection (-1)".
    Thanks.

  • Drill down on direct database request

    Hi all,
I would like to know if its possible to drill down in a table created with a direct database request. I've created the direct request and run it perfectly, but drilling down is not enabled and I, even thought I've looked for it, I couldnt find any option to enable it. I've also checked privileges just in case it had something to do with this, but didnt see anything neither.
To sum up, could anyone tell me if drilling down is possible in direct database request and, if so, how can I achieve it?
Thank you very much in advanced for any kind of help.

    NO!!!!!!!!!!
You Direst SQL query should contain the url
    ex:
    SELECT COL1,COL2,
    '<a href=http://obiapps:9704/analytics/saw.dll?Go&Path=/Answers&path=%2Fshared%2FAppslink%20Dashboards%2F_portal%2FAppslink%20Dashboards%2FEmployee%20Department=Navigate&P0='+BUSINESS_GROUP_NAME+' target=_new>'+BUSINESS_GROUP_NAME+'</a>
    FROM TABLE
then go for the column format
Note: in MS SQL + is for concat, you might have to change based on your db.

  • Drill down for infotypes

    Hi,
    I made a select-option for the field PA0290-PASSL,
but, but i noticed that i couldn't drill down to the table contents of the pa0290-passl. I thought maybe it has something to do with the table being an infotype. Because the select-option works fine for transparent tables like MARA. Are there any way for me to make a drill down for an infotype table such as the one i mentioned above?
    Thanks,
    Frank

    Hi,
You can use the following code for providing F4help.
    types: begin of ty_PASSL,
    PASSL type PA0290-PASSL,
    end of ty_passl.
data: i_passl type table of ty_passl.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST FOR PASSL.
Select PASSL from PA0290 into table i_PASSL  where .....
    w_repid = sy-repid.
    w_dynnr = sy-dynnr.
    CALL FUNCTION 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'
    EXPORTING
    retfield = 'PASSL'
    dynpprog = w_repid
    dynpnr = w_dynnr
    dynprofield = 'PASSL'
    value_org = 'S'
    TABLES
    value_tab = i_PASSL.
    IF sy-subrc 0.
    ENDIF.
    Reward points if helpful.
    Thanks and Regards.

  • About Drill Down  in VC

    Hello everyone,
    I want to confirm 2 issue .
    1.  Does   "Drill Down " function  can be realized in VC ?
    2. If VC can realize "Drill Down" function.
Does  a cell of table can be drilled down to another table or report (like the drill down function in BI report) ?
    Any discuss is welcome !
    Best Regards,
    Louis

    Hi Louis,
NW04s VC doesn't support nested data structures, but you can model your application to simulate this behavior.
    For example:
Add a bapi_bank_getlist data service to your application.
Connect it to input form and output table.
Add a bapi_bank_getdetails data service and connect it to the output table (map the data).
Connect an output form to the getdetails service.
Now, place the input form and output table in one layer and the output form in another.
Create a transition with event name select.
Now, once you choose a record you will navigate to layer 2 and the correct data will be presented.
    Hope this helps,
    Shay

  • Pivot and chart drill down

    Hi ,
Could anyone please let me know how to drill down in pivot and related chart report .
As because when I drill i get a table view instead of chart.
    Regards,
    Megha

    Hi,
I believe you are trying to show chart of your pivot table as well in your pivot view. I tried and I can drill down from both chart and its pivot table.
You need to select drill option under Interaction tab of Additional Charting Option properties of this chart. Save your report and see if drill down in pivot table and in chart in the Pivot view is working.

  • Hiding a row based on the the drill down via table interfaces

I have a requirement to hide a particular row (key field) of a table if a characterisitic (0PLANT) is included in the table.
I have managed to hide the key field via the table interface but need to know how I would see if the characteristic is drilled down (IE included in the table).
Initially I used CAPTION_CELL to establish whether 0PLANT was in the report but when I then removed 0PLANT from the report, CAPTION_CELL is not reprocessed and thus the report is incorrect.
What is the best way to establish what characteristics are included in any report.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Cheers

    Hi Neal,
why not using the service method get_state_infos.

  • SAP Report Painter (Drill down)

    Hi, SAP Experts,
I'm Henry. This is my first post on SCN.
I'm trying to solve a problem on drill down report of report painter.
I don't have much experiences. I really need your help.
The problem is that I developed one report painter (Balance Sheet) and one query (Line item report by account code).
I put the query on the report painter as drill down report. So, when I click a row on the report painter,
It should go to the query and see appropriate data on it.
However, somehow, company code is NOT copied to the query. Therefore, the result is the query shows all compnies data.
*My client has several compnay codes.
    <Example>
[Selection field on the report painter (BS)]
       *Table: FAGLFLEXT
       1. Company code: "A1"
       2. Fiscal Year: "2014"
       3. Fiscal Month: "3"
[Selection field on the query (Line item report by account code)]
       *Logical DB: SDF
       1. Company code: blank  (This is the problem. I need to know why the company code isn't copied)
       2. Account code: xxxxxxxxx (The account code is copied from the report painter. This is no problem.)
       3. Fiscal Year: "2014" (No problem)
       4. Fiscal Month: "3" (No problem)
*After clicking a row on the report painter, I can see all companise data on the query. The query should give only one company which is selected.
If you have any solution or knowledge, could you please share it with me?
If you give me some advice, I would really appreciate it.
    Best Regards,
    Henry

  • Option in SAP B1 9.0 (PL08) to Drill down activities to the user level

    Hi,
My client has deployed SAP Business One Version 9.0 PL 08.
I need to know if there's an option in SAP to drill down all activities/ transactions done in the system to the level where I can get details on the users who were involved in creating/editing certain documents and the basic detail about the creation.
Thanks in advance for reading and helping !!
    Cheers
    -Sam

The answer is yes, SAP does keep document history copy for up to 99 copies (default setting). You can find the history copy by Tools->Change Log.
