Drop and Install EXFSYS schema

Hi Guys,
I'm having problem while installing EXFSYS schema after I have dropped it.
The reason I dropped it is because I got invalid objects in the schema which I cannot compile, so after googling for few hours, I finally decided to recreate the schema.
Dropping the EXFSYS schema is alright, no issues at all.
While i ran the catexf.sql, near the end of the script I got these errors:
create indextype EXPFilter

Hello,
I'm having problem while installing EXFSYS schema after I have dropped itHow did you DROP it ?
For EXFSYS, you should use the script catnoexf.sql to deinstall EXFSYS. More over, you 'll have to DROP the Public Synonyms created by "catexf.sql". You'll have more details on the following Note of My Oracle Support:
How To Install and Uninstall Expression Filter Feature or EXFSYS schema [ID 258618.1]I don't know if you have already used this method and if it could solve the problem.
Hope this help.
Best regards,

  • How to download and Install SH schema

I have Oracle database Express Edition on windows. By default it has only hr schema installed as a sample schema. I want to install SH schema to work with some BI dashboard.
How can Install and where can I get the script for download. I installed the companion CD, But I could not find the script to create sh schema.
    Someone Please help
    George

The sample schemas are part of the 'grown up' editions. They can be installed into the demos directory of these editions using the Companion CD. If you really, really, really want them, you probably want to:
    1) install the software for the EE (no need to create a database)
    2) install the companion CD, 'Database Home' install type
    3) grab the ORACLE_HOME/demo subtree
    4) look at mksample.sql or the one specific to sh
Refer to the Sample Schemas doc at http://tahiti.oracle.com
And realize that the samples go way beyond the capability of XE

To open photos from Photos in Preview use the Media Browser. You do not need to have Photos open to use the photos inPreview.
In Preview use the command "Flle > Open".
The File Chooser dialog will open. Switch the file chooser to columns view and scroll down, until you see the Media section.
    Click the Photos view.
Select the Photos app and click the disclosure triangle.

You usually have to use the program's uninstaller utility for such things as Symantec. Read this:

You may need to install it all over again, just to use its uninstaller.

I bought CS3 several years ago while in school, but had to drop out before I even opened the software. A few months ago I opened and installed the software and used Photoshop to complete a review project in preparation for my return to school. This morning when I tried to open Photoshop again I got a message saying the license didn't support the software anymore and I would need to check with my IT administrator or contact Adobe. I tried calling Adobe but the recorded message said CS was not phone supported. I know it took me a long time to get back to school, but it seems sad to waste the $1,000 I spent on the software. Is there a solution to this issue or do I need to buy new software? Thank you for your help if you have any suggestions.

  • Cannot get the HTML5 Drag and Drop to install

I am using Dreamweaver CS5.  I go to "Insert" "Widget" "Widget Browser" "HTML5 Drag and Drop" and then click on "Add to my widgets".  All I get is a screen that comes up that is related to the license.  No matter which link I click on, there is no code that installs.  I even go to the actual code and copy and paste it into a new HTML file (saved as index.html) and the code does not work.  What is going on?  Does the code no longer exists?

    Guess not.

  • Problems trying to erase and install osx mavericks

    Hi all,
so ive just bought an imac off my parents and have tried to do erase system, I have erased the macintosh hd as i am supposed but when it comes to re-installing the os x and I sign into the app store to start downloading i get an error saying this request is temporarily unavailable please try again later? but it has been 3 days now and still the same message, I have contacted apple but they want to charge me £25 to walk me through the process, Can anyone please hwlp shed some light on what I am doing wrong? thankyou very much in advance.

Unless you purchased Mavericks before it's no longer available. If your iMac is a 2011 model with installer discs:
    Clean Install of Snow Leopard
         1. Boot the computer using the Snow Leopard Installer Disc or the Disc 1 that came
with your computer.  Insert the disc into the optical drive and restart the computer.
After the chime press and hold down the  "C" key.  Release the key when you see
a small spinning gear appear below the dark gray Apple logo.
         2. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue
button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
After DU loads select the hard drive entry from the left side list (mfgr.'s ID and drive
size.)  Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.  Set the number of
partitions to one (1) from the Partitions drop down menu, click on Options button
and select GUID, click on OK, then set the format type to MacOS Extended
(Journaled, if supported), then click on the Apply button.
         3. When the formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed
with the OS X installation and follow the directions included with the installer.
         4. When the installation has completed your computer will Restart into the Setup
Assistant. After you finish Setup Assistant will complete the installation after which
you will be running a fresh install of OS X.  You can now begin the update process
by opening Software Update and installing all recommended updates to bring your
             installation current.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.
If your iMac did not come with installer discs (I don't mean you lost them:)
Install OS X Using Internet Recovery
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
After DU loads select your newly installed hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
This should restore the version of OS X originally pre-installed on the computer.

  • Startup problems, even after erase and install

Hi, i have a polycarbonate black macbook (I think its of the last black ones that were sold), I used to have leopard 10.5.8, and windows xp on it with refit as the boot menu, recently I removed refit, and updated to snow leopard, around that time i started having problems at boot time, either i got stuck at the grey apple screen, or got a prohibitory sign, or most commonly, a kernel panic, that leaves no log by the way. About 1 in 5 tries actually boots up, so I thought I should go the windows way and erase and install. And the problem is still there, I ran a memtest from single user mode, and all ram ended ok.
I have since reinstalled rEFIt, and the problem at least changed, when I turn on the mac, at least the rEFIt logo comes up, sometimes it does load fine, and after that if i choose mac os its exactly as before, if I choose legacy os I get the no boot disk found error (which is what i expect since the computer only has mac os x)
As an aditional note, when the computer does boot, everything works completely normal, the only problems are at boot up time.
EDIT: Just to add that I cant seem to run Apple hardware test, it just doesnt boot holding the D key from either install disk, not before having installed refit, nor after
Hope someone can find some insight in this, im really worried that this could be some logic board failing, I really cant afford such an expense. Thanks, and sorry for the long post, I wanted to detail it as much as possible
    Message was edited by: carlosjoan91

If your hardware test boot device was on the hard drive rather than the installer disc, then installing rEFIt may destroy the boot loader originally used causing the loss of an ability to boot into the test. You would likely need an old version of the installer disc that had the hardware test on the disc rather than on the hard drive.
At this point the best thing for you to do is the following:
    Extended Hard Drive Preparation
    1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc.
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID (for Intel Macs) or APM (for PPC Macs) then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
    6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
Reinstall OS X and use Boot Camp Assistant to create a Windows volume instead of using rEFIt. You'll have fewer problems.

  • How do I erase and install iMac to factory settings using Install disk?

Once in a while I like to do an erase and install to boost performance and get rid of extra unused files/applications on my computer that are inevitably slowing things down. I have already tried disk repair and that isn't helping.
The problem is now that Lion/Mountain Lion no longer support PowerPC applications, I can't figure out how to use the Install Disk that came with my computer. My computer came with 10.4 (Tiger). I have been unable to erase and restore my computer to it's original factory settings.
I have read a bunch of threads that say to hold down the "C" key, but nothing happens when I do this. The computer just starts up like normal.
The reason I want to do this is because my computer is going slower and slower all the time. I have the "Free Memory" app and I can see my memory decreasing slowly day by day. It goes from about 3GB to less than 1GB in a few days. If I restart, I'm back up to 3GB again.

You had to use Snow Leopard to install Lion or Mountain Lion, so you can downgrade to Snow Leopard:
Downgrade Lion/Mountain Lion to Snow Leopard
    1.  Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button.  When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
This will erase the whole drive so be sure to backup your files if you don't have a backup already. If you have performed a TM backup using Lion be aware that you cannot restore from that backup in Snow Leopard (see below.) I suggest you make a separate backup using Carbon Copy Cloner 3.4.1.
If you have Snow Leopard Time Machine backups, do a full system restore per #14 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions.  If you have subsequent backups from Lion, you can restore newer items selectively, via the "Star Wars" display, per #15 there, but be careful; some Snow Leopard apps may not work with the Lion files.
Booting From An OS X Installer Disc
    1. Insert OS X Installer Disc into the optical drive.
    2. Restart the computer.
    3. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the "C" key.
    4. Release the key when the spinning gear below the dark gray Apple logo appears.
    5. Wait for installer to finish loading.

  • Error installing Sample Schemas in Oracle XE11

    Hi,
I have successfully installed Oracle Database Express Edition 11g Release 2. With this installation, I think that only the HR schema is available and I can see that at this location on my computer- C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\demo\Schema
I wanted to install the OE, PM, IX and SH schemas too - I think these are available as download with the standard database installation. I downloaded the sample database zip file (Oracle Database 11g Release 2 Examples) from here http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/112010-win64soft-094461.html
I double clicked the setup.exe file and the first step of installation involves specifying the location - I entered the following paths for the location. (I did take care to empty the Schemas folder based on the initial error message I got)
For the Oracle Base : C:\oraclexe
    For the software location: C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\demo\Schemas
I am still getting the following error messages -
[INS-32025] The chosen installation conflicts with software already installed in the given Oracle home.
[INS-52001] Oracle Database Examples can only be installed into an existing Oracle Home.
Unless I see these schemas in the Oracle home, I cannot run the scripts to create the schemas. Is there anyway, that I can install these Oracle Database schemas for use in Oracle XE?
    Please help
    Thanks

Under the OTN downloads license, in which agreement you entered to download and use Examples, you could also get EE for self-educational purposes etc. (see OTN License Agreement).
Any particular reason you want to install these schemas in XE instead of EE/PE?

SH SCHEMA in oracle XE ?
    Note the ordering:

You may need to also drop the XE included HR and install HR from Examples -- I'm not sure the one built in is the full Sample HR schema.

  • MBP Early 2008 erase and install (bundled) additional iLife apps option

ok, can't figure this out. I have a MBP that I am going to reinstall everything using the factory 2 dvd set. I want to erase and install and install the original factory apps (meaning iLife). There is the option, when you boot up, to "install mac os X and additional apps." When you go through the process, you have to modify the install to erase and install, since there is a newer version of mac os x already on it. Then you proceed, when you goto customize (because I want to make sure the ilife extra stuff is checkmarked, it says there is a newer version already and thus won't checkmark those iLife apps as part of the install. Since I have chosen the erase and install option, shouldn't it know that and let those options be installed?

First, you must erase the drive. Do this:
    Extended Hard Drive Preparation
    1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger or Leopard.)
    3. Set the number of partitions from the drop down menu (use 1 partition unless you wish to make more.) Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID (only required for Intel Macs) then click on the OK button.
Steps 4-6 are optional but should be used on a drive that has never been formatted before, if the format type is not Mac OS Extended, if the partition scheme has been changed, or if a different operating system (not OS X) has been installed on the drive.
