Dropbear password less login problem

I'm using dropbear from the AUR and have set up key based authentication, I would like to disable password logins aswell as disable root logins.
looking at the man page for dropbear I can use the -w and -s flags to do this ie:
the TCP port that Dropbear listens on
DROPBEAR_PORT="127.0.0.1:22" # Default to local-only.
# any additional arguments for Dropbear
DROPBEAR_EXTRA_ARGS="-w -s" # Default to no-root logins.
# specify an optional banner file containing a message to be
# sent to clients before they connect, such as "/etc/issue.net"
DROPBEAR_BANNER=""
# RSA hostkey file (default: /etc/dropbear/dropbear_rsa_host_key)
#DROPBEAR_RSAKEY="/etc/dropbear/dropbear_rsa_host_key"
# DSS hostkey file (default: /etc/dropbear/dropbear_dss_host_key)
DROPBEAR_DSSKEY="/etc/dropbear/dropbear_dss_host_key"
however I get:
/etc/rc.d/dropbear: line 16: [: -w: binary operator expected
Ive googled my little heart out trying to get this sorted, but nada!!
is there a seperator needed here?

Twitch.... The rc.d script has a bash shebang, and then uses /bin/sh syntax with a complete disregard for proper quoting.
Untested, but likely to yield better results: http://codepad.org/X52XNupX

  • ICloud password and login problems

    I have to verify my iCloud password every day through forgot.com using the memorable questions. I updated my phone to the latest IOS and I am using Mavericks on the Mac - other than that nothing has changed. This problem has only occurred in the past two weeks, I can't believe the account is being hacked EVERY day... Anyone having the same problem?

    Hi LucHow,
    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    To help remedy this certainly frustrating experience where you are needing to verify your iCloud password constantly, I'd like you to please contact Apple account security in your country for support.

  • How do I disable password based login for ssh

    Before upgrading to Mountain Lion I had setup my computer to allow remote login via SSH. Now that I have upgraded I can no longer login to my computer via SSH without specifying a password.  How do I get back to not having to supply a password to login?
    I created a user named `remotepair` and generated a RSA ssh key. I had setup password-less login to this user by adding the public keys of those who login to the ~/.ssh/authorized_keys file and the following settings in /etc/sshd_config
    Protocol 2
    PubkeyAuthentication yes
    PermitRootLogin no
    PasswordAuthentication no
    PermitEmptyPasswords no
    ChallengeResponseAuthentication no
    AllowUsers remotepair
    I also created a question on ServerFault about other issues I have with SSH. I solved the issue by doing a PRAM reset.
    Since my settings are no longer working for password-less login, how do I enable password-less login to my Mountain Lion enable Mac?

    I spilled water on my laptop and my "i", "j" and "k" letters don't work on my laptop. However my main problem is that my password contains an "i" so i am locked out of my computer. Any ideas how I can get around the password and login. I tried the method where you go into single user mode and type in commands, however that method uses some of the letters that are not working on my laptop.

    You didn't mention which version of OS X your running but there are password reset utilities provided OS X: Changing or resetting an account password (Snow Leopard and earlier) - Apple Support  or  OS X: Changing or resetting an account password - Apple Support
    Alternately you can use an external keyboard to log in and change the password. Make a backup if you don't have one, it's likely that your problems aren't over. If that water continues to migrate downward and fries the logic board your macbook will be toast.

  • Keychain "login" Problems   Can't remember my Keychain password.  Admin Password also does not help. Mac Mini(Late 2012) OS 10.10.2

    Series of Keychain "Login" Problems.
    Hardware: Mac Mini (Late 2012)  2.5 GHz Intel COre i5,  4GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    OS X : 10.10.2 upgraded yesterday
    Mail wants to use "login" keychain.   I enter Password but no success.
    CalendarAgent wants to use "login" keychain.   I enter Password but no success.
    Com.apple.internetaccounts.xpc wants to you "login" keychain. Password, not successful.
    At some point in past days I was offered to rename Keychain, so I did.
    In Keychain Access, I deleted "Login"    and selected Delete references.
    Just now I went into ~/Library/Keychains and found Login.Keychain and Login_renamed.Keychain.
    I have renamed Login.keychain -> Login-old.keychain.
    I renamed Login_renamed.keychain-> Login.Keychain.
    In Keychain Access, I added "Login" back.  This should be the renamed keychain.
    Original problems still persist.  No noticeable changes.
    Keychain wants to use the "Login" keychain.   Can't remember my password or it is incorrect.
    Help?
    TITLprods

    I turned off and turned on the computer.  When restarting it said that it could not use the Login and did I want to create a new or use and alternate?  I created new and for the moment things seem to be working under the command of the "New Login"
    That still doesn't really alleviate the problem of the old login.

  • Password / login problem

    hi
    i've installed oracle 10g . it works fine but next day it says "login denied unable to login " and i've chked for password expiry date its null and i've given some distant date even then i face same problem . So I reinstall every day , but is there any solution to this .
    coz i create my own table space users and load some people soft tables to work . but i find login problems . I have saved screen shots of db pswd / login that i give evry time i load .

    I'm confused. You install ORACLE on a day by day bases just because the pw "got lost"? ORACLE would be out of the market if that is the only solution.
    I assume you are on windows right?`You installed under your account right? The database services got started right? So go into CMD

  • Problem entering password at login

    When prompted to enter my password for login on my Macbook Pro (late 2011), it takes multiple times to get the password correct. The weird part is that as this continued to happen I realized I was not inputting the password incorrectly, rather half-way through entering the password the contents of the password box would hi-light and the following keystrokes would replace what I had already entered. This happens consistently each and everytime I log in. I have tried typing slowly and carefully and even resorted to 'pecking' without resolving the issue. It seems to hi-light between the 4th and 5th keystroke every time. The problem self resolves after the 3rd or 4th attempt of entering the password. This is a major nuisance and I would really appreciate anyone's constructive input.

    Does this still happen with random letters?
    If it does, then I have absolutely no idea.
    If it doesn't then it might be either your password is a bit strange or your keyboard layout is wrong.
    Login and then go to System Prefs > Language & Text > Inpiut Sources. Make sure Australian or US is selected.
    If this doesn't help please repy and say so.

  • Login problem through password file

    Hi all
    i am using oracle 11g release 1 on CENTOS LINUX 5.
    i have a login problem AS
    login at OS authentication is sucessful as

    [oracle@testserver ~]$ id
    uid=500(oracle) gid=500(oinstall) groups=500(oinstall),501(dba) context=user_u:system_r:unconfined_t
    any help is appreciated

    The name of the password file isn't random.
    The SID is case sensitive, and the password file in Unix has no extension!
    So if the filename is wrong, the passwordfile will not be used.
    This filename looks wrong, at least the .ora bit should be removed.

  • Issue Password-less SSH:  Sun OpenDS 2.0 as Naming Service

    We are in the final phase of a proof of concept for Sun OpenDS as the Naming service for an important customer and facing problem with password-less ssh. We narrowed the problem down to password policy specifying a value for password maximum age. SSH succeeds with ?0? (zero) but requires password if the value is different from 0.

    Ldapclient is running on a SPARC, Solaris 9 system; the Sun OpenDS 2.0 is running on Solaris 10 Sparc.
    Password-less ssh works as expected when using a system not using LDAP.

  • Login problem after testing upgrade today

    Yeah problem after upgrade again   After i enter my username and password to login to Gnome, i get the message
    Your session only tested less than 10 seconds. If you
    have not logged out yourself, this could mean that there
    is some installation problem or that you may be out of
    diskspace. Try logging in with one of the failsafe
    sessions to see if you can fix this problem
    I sure am not out of disk space so what could the problem be? I am using windows for now till i can find a solution.
    Thanks.

    first do a
    pacman -Sy libstdc++5
    and see if this solves your problem (more info here)
    If this doesn't help post you /var/log/Xorg.0.log, please
    Cheers Sigi
    libstdc++5 has already been installed. Anyway here is the Xorg.0.log and xsession.errors files

  • Solution for all your login problems !

    Hi everyone,
    Due to the problem of designing a Login solution experienced in this forum...i have a solution that takes care of this problem i will like us all share this and pls give me a feed back as to how it works for you or its efficiency.
    This solution has three parts.
    (a) The Bean
    (b) The HTML Page
    (c) The JSP Page

    I hope this helps majority of us who are having problems with implementing a login solution.
    Also note that u can connect to any db of ur choice..the query syntax and connection parameters now depends on that supported by your DB.
    Thanks All

    Hello
    I think u have used Model 1 Architecture.
    It would be great if u follow the MVC Architecture.
    What about this??

  • Oracle 10g express edition browser login problem

    Hi
    I installed oracle 10g express edition and after installing successfully logged in browser , unlocked hr login and also created one form then I shutdown the database and rebooted my pc and since then when I try to login to "go to Database Home page" after starting database , I get a cookie 127.0.0.1 with username and password, First of all I am not sure what username/password it is expecting, I believe it requires my Windows XP username and password , I tried to enter couple of times my pc login username which has administrator privileges, I also checked it has ora_dba group but after entering pc username , password browser opens saying "unauthorized". I created another os user and tried with that still same. I tried entering oracle password "SYSTEM" and password for it but still could not login, I tried HR username password still nothing.
    I tried disabling firewall but still same issue. I tried to re-install two time but still same .
    Start database dos prompt does show all the process are started successfully .
    I also did ping for 127.0.0.1 and it does ping.
    I tried everything what I knew.
    Can anyone please help me ..to resolve this issue .

    Hi
    This is how I resolved the browser login problem .
    I checked the listener log
    C:\OracleXE\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\NETWORK\log
    And found the error
    TNS-12542: TNS:address already in use
    TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
    TNS-00512: Address already in use
    I have another version for oracle installed on my pc .
    I ended both the oracle process (Oracle.exe) through the Task Manager
    Then manually started “OracleServiceXe” service through Component Services
    Control Panel – Performance & Maintenance – Administrative – Component Services
    Then did following
    Programs – Oracle Database10g ExpressEdition – Start Database
    Programs – Oracle Databse10g ExpressEdition – Go to Database Homepage –
    Enter username SYSTEM
    Enter password xxxxxx … whatever given at the time of installing.
    And I did successfully login to the browser .
    Hope this will help to those of you who have run into similar problem which I faced
    Good Luck .

  • Enter the valid user name and password to login into the workspace

    Dear Reader,
    As we are working on System 9.2.0, the problem we are facing are as we log into Workspace we get a error "PLEASE ENTER THE VALID USERNAME AND PASSWORD TO LOGIN TO THE SYSTEM"; and the moment we access FR studio another error message pops up which says "COULD NOT CONNECT TO GSM SERVER HYPERION:1800" we have installed Hyperion BI/UI within the same folder and configured with same repository, Every service is successfully installed and configured, in the shared services we are able to see the BI+ node and we also have tried configuring the shared services and BI/UI , twice or thrice. Kindly suggest the solution for the same.

    Hi Vikram,
    Check whether your FR service is started and you database is up and running.

  • Web Center app with ADF Security - login problem

    I have a custome Oracle Web Center app.
    I have a page.html with an embedded login form posting to j_security_check. I've configured the ADF security policies to redirect to a JSPX on successful login.
    When I try the correct username/password, I get redirected not to the page I defined in ADF, but to the root page http://127.0.0.1:7101/MyApp-ViewController-context-root/
    and i get
    Error 403--Forbidden
    I've checked the weblogic.xml as per http://andrejusb.blogspot.com/2009/12/solving-error-403-forbidden-in-adf.html, all the required entries are there.
    This works fine if i use a Login link with
    destination="#{'/adfAuthentication?login=true&amp;end_url=/faces/postLogin.jspx'} "
    which redirects to the default login.html and then to the right page. I've copied the form from the default login.html into my master HTML page.
    Hope my question is clear. Any suggestions why it is going to the wrong URL after login.
    Is there anything specific I should see in the jazn-data.xml or web.xml regarding the post-login URL since i cant see that in either.
    P.S. Have been advised to try here when I originally asked this in the WebCenter forum. Web Center app ADF Security - login problem

    Thanks for your response Frank.
    The web.xml has
    <security-constraint>
    <web-resource-collection>
    <web-resource-name>adfAuthentication</web-resource-name>
    <url-pattern>/adfAuthentication</url-pattern>
    </web-resource-collection>
    <auth-constraint>
    <role-name>valid-users</role-name>
    </auth-constraint>
    </security-constraint>
    <login-config>
    <auth-method>FORM</auth-method>
    <form-login-config>
    <form-login-page>/login.html</form-login-page>
    <form-error-page>/error.html</form-error-page>
    </form-login-config>
    </login-config>
    When configuring ADF Security via JDev , I chose "Redirect upon successful authentication" to the Welcome Page
    "/faces/postLogin.jspx"
    this then adds into web.xml
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>adfAuthentication</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>oracle.adf.share.security.authentication.AuthenticationServlet</servlet-class>
    <init-param>
    <param-name>success_url</param-name>
    <param-value>/faces/postLogin.jspx</param-value>
    </init-param>
    <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
    </servlet>
    So the sequence which works is:
    Login via the '/adfAuthentication?login=true&end_url=/faces/postLogin.jspx' and this redirects to login.html (OOTB form which posts to j_security_check) and then to the postLogin.jspx
    I'm trying to do away with a Login link, and trying the simple login form embedded in my page alongwith other content.
    So should the form be posting to j_security_check directly or to the adfAuthentication ?
