Duplicate customers in CRM

I often have 1 customer with multiple customer numbers/entries. Is it possible to merge all this information to one entry? Eg. Customer makes a query or signs up for newsletter. Then becomes a member of the website with username and password. I would like the customer to be able to view all previous correspondance in their member account.

    We have activated the system for checking the duplicate customers. We found that It only compares the Name and the City of the customer in general data for address.

    This is a standard procedure . Follow the below process to activate duplicate checks.
    Procedure: Run SM30, key in Table V_T100C, select Display or Maintain, set App area F2. Here you can change current settings.
    Check the transaction OBMSG for application area F2, where these messages are maintained and at this place you can convert the message from warning to error.e user needs one more field to be added to this check.
    can you guide how to add a new fiekld in this check for duplicate entries.

  • Customer details(finding out duplicate customers)

    Hello All,
    I am working on a report in CRM which displays all the details of customers. For that i need to hit the table 'BUT000' which is having 50 millions of records in production. if i write the select it will be performance problem i assume, and after
    i need to find out the duplicate records form all the customers.
    So please suggest me a FM or BAPI for this or any other mathod of doing this.
    And also please gimme any sample report format to write the report.

    I think you should step back to the drawing board. I think 50.000.000 records can't be cleaned up in a simple report. You need different steps to get it done:
    1. Cleanup the addresses by using an external source as provided by the companies I've mentioned in my previous reply
    2. Export the cleaned up data via the Segment Builder Export functionality
    3. Use a tool like IntelliCleaner® which you can test in the IntelliCleaner® Light version
    4. Setup the CRM Data Cleansing tool as I've described in my Blog .
    6. Employ a lot of people doing the manual cleanup in Transaction BUPA_CLEAR

    I am able to have duplicate entry check in CRM GUI but its not working in the Web UI. I want to do a similar check in CRM UI. I have to check whether its a corporate of individual BP. Then I have to display a warning message if a duplicate entry exists for the given fields.
    In CRM GUI, I am using a function module to throw the message. Its called at an event.

    could someone give me some Information about of checking and eliminating of duplicate business partner data records.  This functionality should be already integrated in SAP CRM, how can I customize it?
    There is a Data Quality Management Framework for SAP CRM, does someone know about that framework if it is integrated in SAP CRM already or is it to buy extra?

    if you refer to CND* tables those are tables involved in the condition master data exchange between ERP and CRM (on CRM side). Actual condition tables for pricing related condition records start with CNC*.   • Report list duplicate customers

    Is there a standard SAP way to check whether the customer database contains duplicate entries?
    Customers has been created for a long time (9 years I guess) and we suspect that the database contains several double entries since there was no check at all. The total amount of customers is 230.000. The question is, is there a report with which we can analyse duplicate entries? I know there are some BADI 's which can be used for  third party solutions to check addresses but I think it should be available in standard SAP too and hope it is.
    At this moment the customer has version 4.6C but will move next year to th latest version of SAP.

    Thanks for the fast respons, but this isn't the answer to the question. The customer database is already filled with double entries I need a report to determine which addresses are duplicated. Based on that list I will delete (archive) those customers from the database. At the same time we will take measures (regional codes, postal code checks and duplicate checks) to avoid double and faulty entries in the future.
    So the question is, is there a report with which we can report duplicated entries?

    I wanted to know how are the business Partners and Customers replicated from ERP to CRM systems and Vice Versa. I would also want to know how can i check this mapping in the tables.

    Here is how it works.
    The table for customers in ERP is KNA1 and the field for customer number is KUNNR.
    In CRM the table CRMM_BUT_CUSTNO contains the mapping between customer number in ERP and the BP GUID
    in CRM. The table BUT000 in CRM contains the mapping between BP GUID in CRM and the BP Number
    Apart from that the table CRMV_BUPA_CUSTNO contains the mapping between Business Partner Number and Customer.

    Currently we want to replicate the customers from the ERP to CRM, I am confused which classifications in CRM I should replicate the ERP customers to. Also if I choose to replicate to classification (B u2013 Customers) how can I replicate the persons as persons and the organizations as organizations.

    Kindly follow the below steps to achieve your requirement.
    1.Employees/Persons are created in ECC as customers (Should be the copy of Sold to Account Group to Z-Account group). This scenario comes when employees are not downloaded from HR module.
    2.User Exit - Z_PI_BP_ROLE_MAP_DE_EIOUT, to be implemented in ECC to map the Z Account Group to the Role in CRM. (BUP003 u2013 Employee)
    3.By, Default, Employees/Persons getting downloaded as ORGANIZATION and Role Sold-to-party.
    BUPA_INBOUND BAdI to be implemented in CRM for converting BP Category to PERSON and Role to EMPLOYEE.
    4.Customers (Sold-to-party and others) are downloaded from ECC to CRM based on the criterion you define in your object.
    5.Employees/Persons are also replicated by the same adapter object CUSTOMER_MAIN which brings Customers as a person in CRM.
    If custom roles are defined in CRM, check SAP Note # 914437, the standard BTE which maps ECC account groups to CRM Business Partner Roles should be enhanced using a custom User exit in ECC to map custom BP role in CRM to the account grp in ECC.
    The above steps will surely help you to solve your problem.

    We are using CRM E Commerce with ERP Sales Order. Customers are linked in the backend ECC and it allow us to linked around 300 customers/contact persons.  However, when we lauch the webshop, it hangs and cannot display the list of customers anymore.
    Just want to know if there is a certain limit of customers that can be displayed in the webshop.  What is the maximum display of customers if ever?  Appreciate your help.  Thanks!

    it seems some issue of performance.
    Suggesting an alternate solution.
    please write a program to search the customers based on some parameters like first name , city , country etc.
    when user gives lets say country "USA" , the customers having country "USA" will be listed . So , this way you can restrict your search results .

  • Search, filter and manage customers in CRM

    I have a potential new client who is dissatisfied with the customer CRM. The client's company sends out 100,000 email per month and he needs to be able to select a set of customers from his customer database. Among the client's requests, he also wants to bulk edit (not just bulk delete) customer records, do multi-criteria / SQL-style searches, and search across multiple fields.
    Does anyone know if there is a way to customize and expand the filtering and searching criteria in BC's CRM? Or at the very least, accomplish what this client wants to do by some other means (i.e. tying in some external system)?

    I believe the potential client is looking for a "pure" solution, rather than a work-around. In other words, he's expecting to have a database look and feel.

  • Errors while creating customers in CRM 5.0

    when i create a new customer in CRM and check SMW01, the bdoc is failed for that customer and I get an error saying "No batch input data for screen SAPLV02Z 0100"
    any idea on why this is coming?
    Long text: The transaction sent a screen that was not expected in the batch input session and which therefore could not be supplied with data.
    Possible reasons:
    1. The batch input session was created incorrectly. The sequence of screens was recordly incorrectly.
    2. The transaction behaves differently in background processing in a batch work process than when running in dialog (SY-BATCH is queried and changes the screen sequence).
    3. The transaction has undergone user-specific Customizing and therefore certain screens may be skipped or processed differently, according to the current user. If the person who created a batch input session is not the same as the person now processing it, this problem may occur frequently.

    Again I am mentioning the steps to find what batch data is missing in the batch input screen.
    In transaction SMQS deregistor your R/3 system by pressing the button "Deregistration" then create a BP in CRM and save the data. Come back to the transaction SMQS again select your R/3 system and press the button QRFC monitor. Here you will find the queue related to your. Double click on it twice and then press the button Debug LUV. You will reach to the R/3 system ( make sure that the RFC user is dialog user in R/3 system).
    but the break point at the statement " <b>call transaction</b>" and press F8. Here you change the value of mode from "<b>N</b>" to "<b>A</b>" in debugger and then press F8 again. by doing this you will get the <b>batch input screen</b>. Just keep on pressing enter and the system will fill the values. Here you will find what is the required entry missing.
    You have to debug the R/3 Inbound to find what batch input data is missing.

    for ex: the partner function 000001 for sold-to-party in partner tab. i tried to select the same partner function for multiple BPs but system gives an error  "too many sold-to-party entered Remove an entry". can you help me here. thanks!

  • Duplicate contacts in CRM using CUSTOMER_REL object

    When we use the CUSTOMER_REL adapter object to create contacts in CRM from R/3, we end up with multiple business partners for the same person because the same person may be on the contacts tab for several branches (sold to's) of a company.  Is there way to prevent this from happening?  On the R/3 side, we've tried to create a single business partner for the contact and attach that single account to all of the sold to accounts using partner functions.  However, when we try to load these new contact accounts over to CRM, they are created with the business partner type:  Organization.  This means that they will not create the Contact Person relationship on the sold to account on the CRM side.  Has anyone else encountered this and how did you resolve the issue?

    Thanks for reply. Correction instructions from this note refer to METHOD MODIFY_CONP_ADDRES which doesn't exist in crm7.0.
    I can see in CRM that contact person is replicated and is present in BUT000 but table BUT052 is empty for this contact.
    What is more we have implemented in our CRM note 564538  To change Contact Persons grouping replicated from ECC to CRM.
    But also have: Note 757955 - Incompatible change concerning CRMC_BUT_CALL_FU.
    We checked as well
    Note 609766 - Correction of BP GUIDS in CRMM_BUT_CUSTNO, BUT000, CRMKUNNR
    Note 836353 and run reports to find inconsistencies in tables BUT052, BUT051, ADCP and ADRVP. However no inconsistencies were found.

    This will be captured as Activity.
    However when Interaction log is created, it takes Customer(Account) - Contact 1: 1 pair.
    For ex. Contact C1 of Customer A1 has been contacted and interaction log is created for Contact C1 with Customer as A1.
    This Interaction log will appear in the history of Contact C1 and Customer A1.
    In the case presentation is given to more than one customer, then how to enter the data?
    Let's say there are 3 contacts C1, C2, C3 who represent Customers A1, A2, A3 respectively at the presentation.
    Note: C3 is the contact person of Customer A20 too.
    Here sales Rep has to log the call for the pairs  C1 : A1
                                                                         C2 : A2
                                                                         C3 : A3.
    My worry is how/Where should I enter the pairs C1 : A1
                                                                         C2 : A2
                                                                         C3 : A3
