Duplicate e-mails for same request

Hi all,
The user is getting almost 30 repeated e-mails for the same access approval in the GRC landscape?
I am not sure about how the e-mail thing works in the GRC landscape? could someonw throw more light here and let me know hw i could stop this repeated e-mails getting generated for the same request?

Hello Bharathwaj,
This issue was existing in some of the earlier SPs of AE 5.2 but was resolved in SP 08. Also, the original issue was happening for customers using clustered environment. Now, I doubt that this can be an issue on AE side here. So, try the following recommendations and if the issue does not get resolved then raise an OSS message for this:
1) Check the VIRS_AE_EMLLOG table and see if you have multiple entries for the notifications and reminders for requests. If feasible delete the OPEN entries. Do take assistance from your DBA on this.
2) In the stage level settings, uncheck the Other Approvers option in the Notification configuration.
3) Restart the system and see if you still face this issue.
4) Run the email dispatcher jobs in immediate mode and see if you still receive multiple emails.

Frontier is a telco that has changed to Yahoo mail recently.
Thunderbird on Ubuntu 14 LTS behaves somewhat differently than on a Windows machine; I can open Account Settings and will see 2 duplicate account entries in the left panel, but when I clcik on either accounts Server Settings, I only get a blocking message that says "Account Name in Use. Please enter a different account name." I'm unable to determine which is imap or pop, or delete anything...

Update to my original discussion:
If the problem persists, rinse & repeat steps from the original post.
Alternate Solution: If problem still persists and your imap email is not syncing correctly, call customer support of your email provider (in my case it was GoDaddy). Tell them the problem and ask them to do a "ReSync". Make sure your imap email account is set up on your iPhone before they perform the resync. I tried this and its been a week since I had any problems. If you're lucky this could fix other problems that are not listed in this discussion thread.

Mail for Access Request to O365 SharePoint site not received if a mail-enabled Distribution Lists' email address is provided.

I have the Access Request feature enabled in my O365 SharePoint site. This functionality is working fine for a single Site Owner's Email-ID and he is receiving the mail in his Outlook with an option to Approve/Deny the request. But when I specify the Email-ID
of a Distribution List (which consists of all the site owners), the mail is not sent to their respective members although the corresponding request is listed under the Pending Requests in the Access Requests list in Site Settings. Why is this happening and
if this not possible, kindly suggest a workaround.

Duplicate records exists in same request of a PSA

Dear SAP Professionals,
Please look into below issue I am facing.
1) I have only 1 request (green) in PSA.
2) When I am looking into that request, I found there are 4 Packages.
3) In Package 3 & 4, I found the same records has been extracted twice.
Here I am not able to understand, why this is happening?
I tried to run the extractor in R/3 side, and found only 7 records exist for that particular condition.
But when I look into PSA Maintenance screen, there are 14 records exist for the same condition (7 records of Pkg 3 + 7 records of Pkg 4).
Request you to provide the necessary guidance.

Hello Ankur,
You didn't mention whether you are loading master data or transaction data.
If you are loading Master data so it will not create any problem, because it will be overwrite. It will load Package 3 firstly then data of Package 4 will be overwrite with Package 3. So there will be only 7 records in data target .
But if you are loading Transaction data so pick the data once again from the R/3 and check and for this you have to delete previous request.

I am trying to register my new all in one printer and since I have had HP products for quite some time my e mail is coming up as a duplicate. how can I fix this.

Just a question for you, is this for the registration after the actual installation of the printer, or is this for setting up ePrint for the printer?

WF: mail to user for purchase request and purchase order

Hi all,
I activated the WF for released of purchase request and purchase order and the system correctly send mail to the user, but not only one, seven mail for purchase request released...
Is there a possibility for sending mail only time?

can you please check the parameters you have maintained for the report which is used for generating the mails?
please maintain the flag --> one mail for workitem --> and let me know the system response.

Duplicate reminder emails for the same event

Some of my users are experiencing duplicate reminder emails for the same event. These duplicates have the same bodies, different message-id headers and posted at exactly the same time.
Has anybody seen this sort of behavior and know a fix.

We had the same problem. At us I noticed the start/stop from the server went wrong. There were double processes running from the server. You should have 1 admin process, 1 notify process, 1 enpd process and (same as your cpu count) httpd processes.
When the other ones are more then 1, restart the system.
This receiving double e-mail reminder problem, you will only find at people who have AND event notifications on AND event & task reminders on! People who don't have BOTH activated, don't receive double reminders.
Also watchout that your test calendar system can't send e-mail notifications to your production users. But this you can see by reading the headers from the e-mail .. the system where it comes from is then different.

I just purchase my ipad2 2 days ago. yesterday, there was a sound. today there is no sound. there is a sound only in movies and you tube and music. but no sound on all apps and keyboards. I look it up and seems like ther are few that have this problem. I called walmart coz I bought it there and they told me that they have not heard that before but if I can't fix it, just return it and exchange it with anew one since I have 14 days to do that. 2. You may be able to use the same address by adding a plussed suffix to it, such as [email protected] If that doesn't work, create separate emails.

Completely different AMF request packets for same remote service call from Flex to PHP using ZendAMF

I was trying to debug why one of the remote-services in our Flex application was failing randomly. What I found was interesting. Completely different AMF request packets were sent for same remote service call from Flex to PHP.
When the service call succeeds the AMF request packet looks like the following:

Also, following is the error message on Flex when the service fails:

We are using Swiz as the micro-architecture for Flex development and Zend AMF for remoting between Flex and PHP.
Any ideas what is wrong here, what is causing Flex to send different request packets for the same service & what I can do to fix it?

Duplicate entries for same primary key

Hi,
I am facing problem to insert 2 or more than 2 entries for same PRIMARY KEY in the database table.
As I know that we cant do that. But Client has given me the XL sheet which contains 2 entries for same primary key. How can it be done? Please let me know how can I insert 2 data for same primary key in database table.

Hi,
You can achieve this .... All you have to do is to add a new field (a Sequence Number ) to the table. This number will be incremented for each duplicate primary keys. For example....
Consider the excel file has duplicate entries 3 primary keys. Now you add a new field named Sequence Number in your DB Table.....
When you load the data into Database...then the records will look like this...
Key1     Key2    Key3    Seq
A          B          C           1
A          B          C           2
A          B          D           1
A          B          D           2
A          C          D           1
A          C          E           1
and so on...
I hope this solves your purpose.....
Whenever there are duplicate entries, such as the one mentioned in your scenario, then a new field can be added in Database. This field acts like a count or sequence number.... Thus you can maintain unique records.

Mail for MAC - Unable to handle 2 accounts pointing to the same server

I have two accounts on MAIL pointing to the same server.
I am unable to send/receive mails from one of them, since they both point to the same SMTP server.
Is this a restriction on MAIL for MAC?
How does one over come this.
I'd written to Apple support and even made an update suggestion.
But obviously they dont care. It''s been over 8 months since I wrote.
And I am seriously going MAD with this problem!
I've even switched 3 ISP.
Please help.

Thanks for responding.
So while I understand how mails work on mail servers with UID's and PWD's ...Here's the deal.
When setting up an account, MAIL asks for the SMTP profile setting, (which includes the SMTP mail server). It then creates the SMTP profile.
So if I have two accounts, I set up account 1 with the mail.xxx.com as mail server.
While setting up the second account, I again use mail.xxx.com (as the SMTP server)
So when if I have set up account 1 as the first account with the SMTP server ... while sending mail from the second account, it takes the the settings of account 1, and then the mail reply comes to account 1 instead of account two.
Does this explain my problem?

I already did that but it is not serving business purpose.
Comm payment - comes diff time than sales payment.
so ,I will post one entry customer will get hit with total amount Sales + commission
like below
Let say 10, 000 is the sales value and 500 is the commission
So , This entry will get posted
Customer Db- 10,500
Sales Cr- 10,000
Comm Income Cr- 500
But, As I said sales amt will be paid before so We need to clear it partially and some time customer pays also diff amount due to some defect.
So, We wont be knowing for which case we have or havnet received the payment against commission.
As , Customer account is got hit with total amount( Sales+ Comm..value).
Pls advise how to solve this.

E72 Mail for Exchange duplicate calendar entries

Installed and configured Mail for Exchange on a Nokia E72 and everything is working except that calendar entries are being duplicated multiple times!?
