Duplicate notes in 10.10

There's only one iCloud account login in my Mac. But there are two accounts showing on the Notes.app in Yosemite.
I tried to logout but one iCloud account still showing in my Mac. And reinstalled the Yosemite with NetInstall server. And log in no another mac.

I haven't tried this yet but, some users having the same problem solved it. I did a clean install and I'm having the same problem on my MacBook Pro with Retina Display....

Duplicate notes on Macbook Pro

I am seeing duplicate notes on my Macbook Pro. I use iCloud to sync between my MBP and my iPhone. The phone shows 1 of each note, while my MBP shows 2 of each. When I remove the clone, it deletes the original as well. How do I remove the duplicates? And I've tried removing the account and resyncing.

This is not due to malware on your iPhone. There is no known malware capable of infecting an iPhone, unless it has been jailbroken (ie, hacked to run apps from outside the App Store).

Inbound RFC Data / Duplicate Note Texts

Hello,
Question: Is there a way for me to view the contents which have already been passed to an RFC in CRM (5.0) from Portal?
Background: We are experiencing an issue with duplicate note texts when displaying opportunity notes in Portal. Note texts are being populated by an RFC call which in turn calls BAPI_BUSPROCESSND_CHANGEMULTI. We are not able to recreate the issue in any test enviorment. We are only able to identify the issue after it has already occurred in PRD on almost a daily basis.
As this appears to be a random occurance, I am hoping to compare the data passed to the RFC for a successful & errored example to identify any discrepancies in the data passed to the RFC.
One thing I have noticed is that the duplicate texts appear to be occuring when a date/time stamp is not included at then end of the TEXT field of STXH, but have not been able to determine why a date/time stamp is added in one instance and not another.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's not very elegant, but it seems to solve the duplicate record error. Periodically, I delete the 0TCTPRCSVAR master data that contains string "DUP_RECORD_ERROR.'

O my goodness who's Idea was to make the make Command-D duplicate not Deselect? Truly an aggravation for Mac Keyboard Shortcut lovers.
Especially if you have used Command-D a Mac with all other programs for years.

It is already a feature request and a promise for the future to have the Bridge have both keyboard shortcuts customizable and to have the Bridge in general more customizable.

HT4897 Icloud email alias apparently causing duplicate notes and contact groups

I seem to be getting duplicate notes and nearly duplicate contact groups as a result of my alias email account. This coincided with the upgrade of my iphone, but the problem is on my iMac running Mountain Lion OS.
When I open preferences for Mail, Contacts, & Calendars, I see one iCloud icon with a cloud and another with an @ sign. The one with the @ sign is associated with my alias email account. I still use that account.
Any idea how to correct this?

Error: "Duplicates not Allowed"

Hi,
So today I restarted my computer and skype opened automatically like it normally does. Everything was fine but then when I clicked tools to change the settings, it said "Duplicates not allowed." I restarted skype multiple times to no avail. I also tried clearing the settings by deleting the DbTemp folder and so on. Help would be very much appreciated.

This is a known issue with the latest Skype 7.1 version on a computer where there are 2 identical video or audio capture devices installed.

Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool (do not press the Run 64-bit DxDiag button).
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.
Be aware that you will have to zip this file before attaching it here.

Skype 7.1: Error "Duplicates not allowed"

Same issue with Skype throwing a duplicates not allowed error when trying to access options from the tools drop down menu. Not able to configure webcam options. I've done all the preliminary actions of recreating the Skype folder in %appdata% and deleting the dbtemp folder. I've run the dxdiag process and attached the results in a zip file. Webcam drivers are up to date. Please let me know next steps.

Unfortunately, you can't blame the Hauppauge WinTV Tv Tuner Cards in their entirely at all.
I am running the latest version of Skype for Windows 7,1,0.105, And I have No problems running Skype on this computer at all.
I don't have Skype loading on this computer when the computer is booting up. When I want to use Skype on this computer, I simply launch the computer when I want to.
No where does it say that you need to launch Skype when the computer starts up.
You can keep the latest version of Skype on the computer, just don't load it, when the computer is booting up. It will work just fine.

Duplicate Notes on iPhone & iPad but not on iMac

I am getting duplicate Notes on my iPhone and iPad but never on my iMac where they are all shared. All the devices are running the most updated OS versions. I share the Notes and sync them only using iCloud, and nowhere else. I do not sync the iPhone and iPad over Wi-Fi. I only sync them when they are physically connected to the iMac. There is no option in iTunes (12.0.1.26) to turn off syncing Notes on the iPhone and iPad as others have suggested in various postings. Strangely, the problem is intermittent. It seems to come and go, but it is still very confusing when it arises. Advice welcome. Thank you.

Go into settings-mail make sure only one account is syncing contacts in my case it's iCloud turn off contact syncing hit delete what's on iPhone then make sure no contacts are listed under contacts then go back and turn it on.

my keyboard was putting out doubled note events durring a session.
But the note events are between 1 and 3 cliks apart.
in other words 1 might be at 1 3 151 and the other duplicate at 1 3 153
So remove duplicate events does not work.
I dont want to have to quatize all events either.

The only other option I can think of that may help you is the select highest/lowest notes.
This will select the top or bottom notes for any notes that are overlapping.
the key command is :
**** up ( highest ) or shift down ( lowest )
It may work on some blocks of notes, but it's a bit hit and miss.
Other than that it's a manual editing job I'm afraid

Frequent duplicate notes

I use the Notes app on my Mountain Lion and iOS devices, and frequently, I get duplicate notes. One in the iCloud folder, the other in the On My Mac > Recovered Items folder. The duplicates are always identical to the original, so I end up just deleting the one "On My Mac". Have you experienced this issue? Any workaround?

Questions questions on how to back out of duplicates not on Iphoto,

I have had my macbook pro 3 yrs and keep it updated. I was mistrustful of Iphoto as it did not seem easy to organize photos the way I wanted so I have loaded all my photos to a file in my document folder. Now I have what I am being told is nearly 15,000 photos and I have a lot of duplicates in my files OFF of IPhoto. I think tho that they are eating up my storage as it's very low and things seem slow esp Iphoto and some other stuff (like this site).
I have finished grouping them in the separated files the way I want, which is topically, and except for a very small group which I renamed but left the numbers, they all have original numbers. In some cases I have 3 copies in different folders or rolls OFF of IPhoto. The ones on IPhoto are complete as I have used Iphoto cautiously.
I was going to delete duplicaes off the hard drive (remember they were never put on IPhoto at least by me) until I read all those cautions about deleting and have to tell you I started to delete duplicates by hand off the hard drive (selecting one of two same numbers and kept 99% of the ones marked "orig" and nothing I did has effected the Iphoto as far as I can tell--the numbered pictures show up, but there are a handful which I can see don't have the "ORIG" on the name but still show up in the library anyway...and all of them have JPEG bec I found that was the easiest way to get them on. So far dumb luck.
Now I'm afraid to delete the harddrive duplicates even tho they were not put into the Iphoto library by me manually. It does appear that some of the folder names I have used are there, some have complete sets and some have no photos in them at all, can't remember how they got there.
I am now ready to send the organized photos to IPHOTO (after making a backup) but I'd prefer to eliminate duplicates on the hard drive folders first. Remember, I loaded these into my documents folder and not into IPhoto to begin with.
Can I do this and should I eliminate only files that don't say "ORIG"? Will I have to buy software to eliminate duplicates on the harddrive folders I made? Plus, they are duplicates mostly bec I like to have a copy of the original roll, and the original set, and then my subject matter files (sort of cross referenced). As you can tell I am not willing to give up control over the photos on how they are arranged. Still Iphoto is a lot easier to look at them and edit them if necessary.
I have an Olympus with a memory card and have learned I can name the download before importing them, but there does not seem to be a easy way to separate them into different groups and Iphoto isn't the easiest to do this beforehand either. Can you tell me a easy way--it seems it must be through the View, can I select this when I choose a download preference and name the download group? I don't like a default download bec then you always have to move them. Any suggestions?

2. When I have done downloads, they happend pretty automatically and don't give me a choice of identifying files with keywords or anything else, it's more like a dump. I am used to putting new material in a specific file and not having to rearrange them after they dump into Iphoto. So how/where do I control the naming and grouping of items before I put them into Iphoto? Iphoto is like shuffling cards after they've fallen it seems...

3. Users should stop saying how great Iphoto is if it can't be simply explained how the two groups of data inter relate. I am not going to use a library system if I don't understand how they interrelate and one of the earlier posts basically said this info was proprietary.....
You don't get to decide what Users say or don't say. If you don't want to use a Library system then don't use a database for your photos. I will say this tho': people with even very rudimentary computer skills seem to be able to grasp the concepts.
None of the metadata that you add in iPhoto is proprietary, with the possible exception of Faces, and that's only because there is no agreed way to share this info in any application. All Faces data is proprietary in all apps that offer the feature. Anything else you add - keywords, captions, titles, location etc can all be written to the file on export from iPhoto.
As to you comments on keywords: They are not a replacement for Captions, Titles and so on, they are an addition to them that add greater flexibility. For instance, if you have a photo of your Dog and a Tree, what category does it belong in? The Dog category? The Tree category? With keywording and a couple of really easy Smart Albums the same photo can be in both.
As to the granularity of your keywording system: that's up to you.

Why do i get duplicate notes?

For some reason i have duplicates of my synced notes on my iPhone.
Even my mac only displays 1, but my iPhone can show up to 4 duplicates.
It makes it complicated working out which one to delete from my phone without worrying if I'm going to delete the original on iCloud.
I definitely only have iCloud on for note syncing, my other accounts in mail/contacts/calendar have notes sync off.
Any ideas what i can do as its super messy?

it happens to me sometimes, i think that is a problem of syncing, I cannot tell you exactly what to do but try not to close notes straight after you changed things, give it time to sync.
and also check iCloud.com see if there are duplic there.
