Duration difference between viewer and timeline after insertion or overwrit

Reopened project from last week and now when I try to put in a new scene, the duration I give in the viewer changes in the timeline.
i.e. - I overwrite in a 17 frame scene and it becomes a 21 frame scene in the timeline.
All worked well last week, Any ideas?

People have very short attention spans these days. Someday the government will have to put Ritalin in the water supply.
I think I have found my own answer.
The clips that were causing problems were captured at a different frame rate than the timeline.
I didn't do the capture but it is my best guess so far.
I am cutting together movie promos for a television station. Some are off of DVD and some are off of tape.

  • What is the difference between view and materialized views

    Hi
What is the difference between view and materialized view ? can we update the base table using views

can we update the base table using viewsYes:
    VIEWS
    1. an updatable view is one that lets you perform DML on the underlying table
(see Oracle Database Concepts 10g - 5 Schema Objects)
    2. non-updatable view requires INSTEAD OF Triggers
(see Oracle Database Concepts 10g - 22 Triggers)
    SNAPSHOTS
You can have updateable (and writeable) snapshots - in updateable (writeable) MV replication.
Oracle uses snapshots (Materialized Views - MV) for two different purposes:
    1. replication
    2. automated Query Rewrite facility (first introduced in Oracle Discoverer, later included in Oracle database 8i).
    Replication types in Oracle are:
    a) Basic replication (MV replication)
    - transaction based
    - row-level
    - asynchronous from master table to MV (Materialized View)
    - DML replication only
    - database 7 / 8.0 / 8i / 9i / 10g
    - Standard and Enterprise Edition
    1. Read-only MV replication
    2. Updateable MV replication:
2.1 asynchronous from MV to master
2.2 synchronous from MV to master
    3. Writeable MV replication
    b) Multimaster replication
    - transaction based
    - row-level or procedural
    - asynchronous or synchronous
    - DML and DDL replication
    - database 7 / 8.0 / 8i / 9i / 10g
    - Enterprise Edition only
    1. row-level asynchronous replication
    2. row-level synchronous replication
    3. procedural asynchronous replication
    4. procedural synchronous replication
    c) Streams replication
    - (redo) log based
    - row-level
    - asynchronous
    - DML and DDL replication
    - database 9i / 10g (10g has Down Streams Capture)
    - Enterprise Edition only (Standard Edition 10g can execute Apply process)

  • Difference between view and window ?

    Hi All,
Can you tell me a basic difference between view and window , maybe you can correlate your answers with concepts of HTML.
    Rajeev

    Hi Rajeev,
A window is a place for displaying your views. Your view is not available to the outside world. View is available only to your component. However, your window is an interface view, which can be displayed in other components.
A view contains your UI elements. It has a layout (a window does not). A window contains embedded views.
In the window, you can define how navigation between views takes place (by creating navigation links).

  • What is the main difference between view and materialize view and advantage of Mview   ??

What is the main difference between view and materialize view and advantage of Mview   ??

1.A view uses a query to pull data from its associated tables.
2.Views do not have data's physically stored in the Database.
3.Views Get the Data from 2 or more tables and displays as a single block.
4.But a materialized view is a table on disk is a result set of a query done.
5.A Materialized view can have data's in the database.
6.Materialized view are used for Boosting the Performance.
7.And the important one is Materialized views are updated based on the parameters defined when they are created.
8.By using triggers we can update the data in a materialized view.
9.When you call a materialized view it will show the data when it was last updated.
    Hope it helps.

  • Difference between  view and synonym

i want the difference between view and synonym ,and also the cases where view and synonym are used

How this is related to 'issues and concerns with downloads' is beyond my understanding. Your question seems to be related to database and should be re-issued in the database forums.
In the mean time, the definitions of each are given at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14220/intro.htm#sthref69

  • Color shift between viewer and browser after pro kit update

    hi there,
i thought i be one of the lucky guys since updating and running 3.0.1 was easy on my system. but after yesterdays pro kit update i experience a weird color shift between the look of pictures in the browser and viewer.
there is a strong colorshift in orange parts of sundown pictures. they turn magenta in the viewer but stay orange in the browser. the difference can easily be seen in the split screen. even weirder if i export a picture from the vier/split screen the exported files show the magenta tint. if i export them from the browser, they have the "right" orange tint.
this happens with raw-files from both d200 and d70. also exportet the raw and processed it with ps cs3 and everything was ok. anyone got a clue?
    thanx in advance

just found the explanation. after my prokit update, all raw-files needed to be reprocessed and then i needed to select the standard apple camera module for the d200. that was quite tricky and i don't understand why something like this happens. why do all files need to be reprocessed and than afterwards you would have to manually select the apple standard converter and why did the viewer look different than the browser and why is there no warning module that tell you all files will have to be reprocessed?

  • Difference between paint() and paint() after resize

    Hello,
I have an application where I am painting a plot on a JPanel inside a JInternalFrame.
If I just call JPanel.repaint everything gets painted in the correct position.
The problem comes when I am resizing the JPanel via the JInternalFrame. In that
case the paint code retrieves the bounds of the JPanel and plots only some of
the items in the wrong place. The errant positions indicate that the paint is retrieving
a JPanel bounds for some items that reflects one of the JPanel sizes before
    resizing stops.
How can I ensure that my paint() code is only getting the size of the JPanel after
    resizing has stopped?
    Thanks for any info,
    P

    DrClap wrote:
You can't. Because no part of your application can tell when that happens.
Try it with some application that you're familiar with. Like the browser you're using right now. Grab one of the window edges and drag it to make the window
smaller. Now stop dragging, but don't lift your finger off the mouse button. See how the browser redisplays itself, even though resizing might not have stopped yet?
    Good point.
I was under the impression that resize stopped when the mouse button was released.
But, now that you mention it, things are being redrawn while resize is happening.
    Thanks

6 rows selected. Both inserting insert the same records then whats the difference between ALL and FIRST clause in multi insert DML
    Khurram Siddiqui
    [email protected]

    Hello
    From the docs:
    ALL
If you specify ALL, then Oracle evaluates each WHEN clause regardless of the results of the evaluation of any other WHEN clause. For each WHEN clause whose condition evaluates to true, Oracle executes the corresponding INTO clause list.
    FIRST
If you specify FIRST, then Oracle evaluates each WHEN clause in the order in which it appears in the statement. For the first WHEN clause that evaluates to true, Oracle executes the corresponding INTO clause and skips subsequent WHEN clauses for the given row.
    ELSE clause
For a given row, if no WHEN clause evaluates to true:
    * If you have specified an ELSE clause, then Oracle executes the INTO clause list associated with the ELSE clause.
    * If you did not specify an else clause, then Oracle takes no action for that row.
    See Also:
    "Multitable Inserts: Examples"
    Restrictions on Multitable Inserts
    * You can perform multitable inserts only on tables, not on views or materialized views.
    * You cannot perform a multitable insert into a remote table.
    * You cannot specify a table collection expression when performing a multitable insert.
    * In a multitable insert, all of the insert_into_clauses cannot combine to specify more than 999 target columns.
    * Multitable inserts are not parallelized in a Real Application Clusters environment, or if any target table is index organized, or if any target table has a bitmap index defined on it.
    * Plan stability is not supported for multitable insert statements.
    * The subquery of the multitable insert statement cannot use a sequence.
So given this the following example shows the difference:
SQL> CREATE TABLE dt_test_insert_base as select rownum id from dba_objects where rownum <=20
      2  /

SQL> CREATE TABLE dt_test_insert_1 (id number)

  • What is the difference between 'workbookk' and ' view'?

    Hi all,
What is the difference between 'workbook' and 'view'. I check some document but I don't see there is big difference.
    Thanks.
    J.

    hi John,
We use workbooks for excel formating, like font changes, lay out changes etc...
Workbooks into which queries are inserted are no different in appearance than other Excel workbooks.
They can be saved as files, copied, sent and (using Excel functions) edited however you like and even supplemented with other data.
Views are primarily used for BW Web Reports, it is similar to the concept of workbooks is for BEx.A local view can be accessed only within a workbook in which it was saved, where as a global view can be accessed globally in the system, it is not attached to a workbook. Only Global view can be used in BW Web Templates.

  • Is there any difference between 10g and 11g M Views?

    Hi,
I need to give a demo on and working examples of materialized views. The requirement is this: Master tables are in a 10g R2 DB, MV is in a 11g.
I just create a DB Link in 11g to point to the 10g DB and then create the MV in 11g.
Will there be any problems creating a 11g MV using 10 Master tables?
My question is are there any significant differences between 10g and 11g MViews??
    Thanks & Regards,
    Channa.

You have to be careful about your versions. 10g could be 10.1 or 10.2 11g could be 11.1 or 11.2
    I wouldn't have an 11.2 database with a database link against a 10.1 database.
In fact, even with 10.2, I would try to ensure that I have a "high patchset" (10.2.0.4 or 10.2.0.5) although, in theory, 10.2.0.1 should also work.

  • Difference between read and view only -users having both permissions can download the documents

    Hi All,
Would like to know whats the difference between view only and read permission.
As per my requirement, my end users who have been assigned View Only should NOT be able to Download the document from a doc lib.Whereas who have Read permissions should be able to download.
But when i tested with few users with these  permissions, those users who are having  viewonly permissions was able to  download the documents.
how this will be true? MS says that this is not possible if it contains server side handlers.
my customer worried about the  download-the-document part. as per them end users who have  view only permissions should not download the docs.

    Hi,
CreateInsert: Creates a new row that becomes the current row, and inserts the
new blank row into the data source.
Create: Creates a new row that becomes the current row, but does not insert it.
--> normaly you would use createinsert

  • Whats the Difference between Wrapping and Inserting a subform?

Pardon me for asking what is probably a silly question. But what is the difference between wrapping and inserting a subform? Thank you very much in advance.

-When you insert a subform, a new subform that does not contain any form objects at the time of creation is added.
-When you have existing form objects that you decide at a later time in your designing process to be contained in a subform, you can wrap these existing form objects by a subform.
