Dv7-6b32us RAM type

I'm wanting to upgrade my laptop's RAM, but I don't know what type I need to do so.  The product page states it needs a DDR3 type, but doesn't tell me if I need a 1066 or a 1333.  Does somebody know?  And if so, could you please let me know? Thanks in advance! :-)

Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03043778.pdf
According to Chapter 1 page 4, it takes DDR3 PC-1333 memory.

  • Dv7-6b32us

I have a virus on one of my hard drive so I purchased a new drive.  When I opened up the laptop, I see there are two bays for hard drives.  I would like to get my OS running on my new drive and clean off my old drive an put it in the 2nd bay.  It appears there is not a connector available to connect the 2nd drive.  What would I need to purchase to put a 2nd drive in my DV7-6b32us?

  • Right Side USB Ports Don't Work on my DV7 6b32US

    I just bought a DV7 6b32US.
It's on Windows 7 Home Premium.
The left hand side USB slots are okay. but the two on the right side do nothing at all. No message - nada!
It seems to be a common issue, but I have no resolution to it.
Also, annoyingly, when I logged on to the HP site to try and find drivers, the laptop's serial number is recognized as a Compaq.
    Anyone able to help?
    Thanks in advance

Hello everyone.  I understand you're having issues with non-functional USB ports.  I suggest trying the following.
    Go to Device Manager.
Expand the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" section.
    Remove all "host controllers."
    Shut down the notebook.
    Remove battery and AC power.
Hold power button for 20-30 seconds.
    Replace battery and AC power.
Boot notebook and allow Windows to reinstall the host controllers.
    Reboot one more time.
Verify that this resolves the issue.
Let me know the result.  I hope you all have a Happy Holiday!

  • I have a dv7-6b32us .. i am using a crt monitor which i know supports 120hz.. video driver doesn't

    I have a dv7-6b32us laptop...
Operating system is windows 7 home premium 64 bit..
The problem I'm having is.. I have it hooked up a CRT monitor that I know supports 120hz easy at the resolution I want to run my games in.. can easily run 240.  My issue is since I'm on windows 7, it now caps my max hertz at 85.  Which is a complete joke.  If I have to do some regedit or edit some system files.  Please point me in the right direction..
Or if there is something simpler as in a driver that allows it, would always be nice.  the video is the INTEL HD 3000
    Any help is much appreciated.

There are other options.  AS are not the only places that repair Macs.  What about an AASP which I also mentioned?

  • Bluetooth on HP-Pavilion-dv7-6b32us

I am trying to connect bluetooth earphones to my HP-Pavilion-dv7-6b32us Notebook. I have two different models that I am trying to connect to my notebook: Nextware Sonic and Jarv earphones, both via bluetooth.  I've tried "Add a Device" through the control panel, but the devices don't pair or show up.  I can't find bluetooth in the device manager.  Are there any drivers I can download or software on the computer I can activate to solve this, or do I need to buy a bluetooth dongle?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

The specs do not indicate that your model has bluetooth so yes, if you want it you are going to have to get a dongle.

  • HP Pavilion dv7-6b32us Fan Buzzes when running fast

I have an HP Pavilion dv7-6b32us and within the past few months my laptop heats up pretty easy and whenever the fan starts running really fast it will buzz and it vibrates enough that I can feel it a bit in the top left area of the laptop, the only way it stops is if I tap that area pretty hard. I'm assuming this means the bearings or something on the fan are shot, and it needs to be replaced. I've tried to clean the fan area the best I can (though there's never a lot of dust inside) but if I remember from the last time I took it apart, I can't get to it very easily without removing the motherboard, so i have to clean the fan with the cover on. Is there a way to fix this or if not, where can I get a replacement fan?

    Hi,
Have a look at the service guide.
    http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03043778.pdf
Your laptop should have a shared graphics Intel 3000 so pick the heat sink/fan assembly for the Intel UMA memory:

  • Hp dv7-6b32us model has no indicator light for numlock

Model: Dv7-6b32us, OS: Windows 7 home premium 64bit.
Issue: There is no indicator light that num lock is active or not. Is this a default feature or there is something missing in the laptop?

Since there is no status light on that model, try this software

  • Dv7 6b32us HDD error 301

I have a  dv7 6b32us .  I ran HDD test and error 301 came up on both quick test and long test.  Does this mean I have to replace it?  Any recommendation for the new HDD replacement?

    Hi,
Yes, it does look like you'll need to replace the HDD.
The drive on the link below is an example of one that would be fine for your notebook.

  • Netbook RAM type?

I check the bestbuy website and interested in two netbooks, Gateway, model LT2802U, and Toshiba, model NB505-N500BL. My question, RAM type is DDR2 or DDR3? Website says DDR3, but I look for a 2 gb RAM to upgrade, the compatible is DDR2 (under "Find memory")? In addition, how long does the battery of Gateway model LT2802U last? Thanks

  • WHERE CAN I BUY A 5.2GB DVD-RAM TYPE 1 CARTRIDGE

I have spent hours looking on the net. Do they make them anymore?
    My DVD-RAM drive is a Matshita PD-2 LF-D110. Revision A110.
Can I use a 2.6GB Type 1 Cartridge in this drive?
If I upgrade to Tiger will I be able to use my DVD-RAM drive?
Power Mac G4 AGP Graphics   Mac OS X (10.3.9)   DVD RAM Matshita PD-2 D110

I know this does not directly answer you question, but you may want to consider getting a new DVD-/+R burner; they are less than $40 online (DVR-110D, ND-3550A, try newegg.com as one resource).
It may be less frustrating than trying to use your old DVD-RAM drive.
If you really want to use DVD-RAM, the DVR-110D firmware can be altered to support DVD-RAM (the non-US versions are marketed as such), or the LG GSA-4163B is also a DVD-RAM capable drive out-of -the-box.
In any OS prior to Tiger, you will need to download & run PatchBurn for iApp/Finder burn support.

  • DV7-6150ev ram and HDD replace

I have a DV7-6150ev for business purposes. I face some ram issues and I am would like to replace it. First of all I can’t find any technical manual to show how to replace the ram and also I would like also to replace the HDD with a Western Digital Black² 1.12TB Hybrid WD1001X06XDTL.
I was thinking to add 16GB ram. Will the laptop recognize it? Will it recognize the HDD?
Thank you in advanced for your answers.
