DVMC Saving Potential for table COEP

Hello All,
i am curious to know the answer for the below interesting topic.
We have implemented the Solution Manager DVMC tool for few production systems. After we setup the query and BPM to analyze the saving potential calculation for the few of the table as per the DVM Sizes growth below question applies.
The Saving potential for table COEP, MSEG (for system like 4.7 systems) says to do the deletion potential. For example, the table last analysis 146.149,000 and out of that the deletion potential = 146.093,987
So based on the saving potential, we want to make a strategy looking at the deletion potential operational possibilities. However, looking at the SAP standard best practice documentation, we see the table like MSEG and COES u201Cdeletion cannot be usedu201D which is quite contradictory towards the report result in the DVMC report for saving potential.
I believe, there should be some reason, the Table analysis says about the deletion potential for these tables. I must curious to know the reason for the same.
Can anybody also explain how we can use the DVMC report either for Saving Potential or archiving potential in the operational activity? Like after we find the result, according to deletion potential, which records to be deleted etc.
Regards,
Shashi

Hello Shashi,
I wouldn't delete any table even if DVMC  recommends so. I don't know your DB vendor but most of them (like DB2) offers table compression for saving spaces.

  • BADI or User exit  for FB50 to update custom field in table COEP

    Hi all,
i have added one custom field in table COEP through include CI_COBL .
when i do posting through sales order(VA02) or purchase order(ME22n) that custom fields in COEP get updated with controlling document
and through BADI AC_DOCUMENT i m updating that custom field in COEP.
but when i do manual posting through FB50 controlling document is generated in COEP but i m not able to update that custom field
because in this case BADI AC_DOCUMENT  is not get triggered.
is there any BADI or User exit or enhancement spot for FB50 through which i can update that custom field in table COEP

    Hi Sandy,
    Thanks for u r reply,
RFAVIS01 is not getting triggered through FB50
and F180A001 ( EXIT_SAPLF048_001) is getting triggered but it doesnt contain COEP field in its parameter

  • How to fetch the data from the table COEP for WBS element, cost center,,,,,?

    Hi,
I would like to retrive the data from the table COEP ,based on KOKRS,BELNR fields.
I need the output for Cost centre, cost element, wbs element, net work ,activity.
These values are storing OBJNR ,OBJNAR_1,OBJNR_2,OBJNR_N3.
But here always these field are not giving the correct values.
for example : for one record COST CENTRE vlaue is storing in OBJNR_1 field,
for one record COST CENTRE vlaue is storing in OBJNR_2 field,
for one record  COST CENTRE vlaue is storing in OBJNR_3 field.
Here SAP has used a generic approach for this.
How can I dispaly the values in this case ?
    Thanks and Regards
    Srinivas.N

    Hi,
I am asking, how can we say OBJNR_1 value alwyas belongs to cost center ?
    USPOB is not filling always.

  • Error while saving to ekpo table

    sir,
PO was created with currency japanese YEN using Tcode ME21N . The net price was showing 142502300 (in JPY).
My problem is when checked in EKPO table , it saved with a value 1425023.00      So this is decimal value error. what can be done to correct this.
    Regards,
    Srinivasa Murthy

for japaness yen there is no decimal places in the amount field sap as stanadrd save with two decimal places. so during display u will see the amount without decimal which is correct value but in backend sap saves with 2 decimals.
so there is no error in sap. it is sap stanadrd process of saving data.
for eg the percentage value for condition records is saved by multiplied by 10 .

  • Problem with Fetching Million Records from Table COEP into an Internal Tabl

Hi Everyone ! Hope things are going well.
Table : COEP has 6 million records.
I am trying to get records based on certain criteria, that is, there are atleast 5 conditions in the WHERE clause.
I've noticed it takes about 15 minutes to populate the internal table. How can i improve the performance to less than a minute for a fetch of 500 records from a database set of 6 million?
    Regards,
    Owais...

The first obvious sugession would be to use the proper indexes. I had a similar Issue with COVP which is a join of COEP and COBK. I got substanstial performance improvement by adding "where LEDNR EQ '00'" in the where clause.
    Here is my select:
              SELECT kokrs
                     belnr
                     buzei
                     ebeln
                     ebelp
                     wkgbtr
                     refbn
                     bukrs
                     gjahr
                FROM covp CLIENT SPECIFIED
                INTO TABLE i_coep
                 FOR ALL ENTRIES IN i_objnr
               WHERE mandt EQ sy-mandt
                 AND lednr EQ '00'
                 AND objnr = i_objnr-objnr
                 AND kokrs = c_conarea.

  • Adobe Forms - Table control data Saved in Database table through Web Dynpro

    Hello Friends,
I Am facing a Problem in Adobe Forms through Web Dynpro.
i Want to Make Interactive online Adobe Forms - In Table Control user enter the multiple entry in the table control and after that Click on SAVE button , entry will saved in Database table.
    Please guide me.
    Thanks in advance.
    Gaurav.

    Hi Gaurabh,
For interactive form you have to check the property DisplayType = native and PdfSource should be a Context Attribute of type 'Xstring'.
For data retrieval, create a NODE and have all the required attributes within that node of AOBE form.
    Fetch the data in WDDOINIT.
Also check, that the offline senario for this form is working.
    Hope it helps you.

  • Requesting guidance on how best to deal with removal of CreateElementSteps for tables when option to 'script validation for new constraints' is enabled during schema compare

I have a DeploymentPlanModifer subclass that is responsible for removing certain tables from a deployment plan under specific conditions. It is relatively trivial to find the
CreateElementSteps I need and subsequently remove them via
    DeploymentPlanModifier.Remove(), but...
... if in my comparison I have enabled the 'Script validation for new constraints' option, the deployment plan will contain a
DeploymentScriptDomStep with a Batch containing AlterTableConstraintModificationStatements for tables with foreign key constraints. My problem starts here - there will be an orphaned
AlterTableConstraintModificationStatement for each of the tables that I removed. Obviously, execution of the generated script comes to a grinding halt when asking SQL Server to to alter a table that is never created.
I'm able to get around this by digging around in the aforementioned batches and removing the orphaned alter statements, but this seems really hacky, which makes me think I'm missing the proper way of dealing with this.
So... if anyone is aware of a more correct way of avoiding this problem, I would really appreciate finding out more about it.
Thanks in advance for any help. :-)

Hi Greg. Unfortunately there is not an easy solution here. Walking the deployment model, spotting potential issues and excluding them really is what you have as an option here. The alternative is to pre-process the dacpac to have it in the form you want,
but I'm not sure if this is an option in your case and it also has limitations.

    Kevin

  • Table COEP - OBJNR

    Dear Gurus,
I want to ask about Object Number - OBJNR in table COEP.
As we know OBJNR is 22 digit char.
CMIIW, this object is represent: Controlling Area (digit 3-6), Cost Center (digit 7-16 )
    and Activity Type (digit 17-22).
How about digit 1-2? Is this represent what?
Sorry for this question because I'm very not familiar in FI-CO.
I'm trying to create extraction to SAP BW and considering to use datasource
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Steph

    Hi,
digit 1-2 is used as follow:
    KS: cost center
    PR: WBS
    OR: internal order
    PA: profitability segment
KL: cost center / activity type
    BP: business process
    Bye

  • Field MEGBTR of R/3 Table COEP

I would appreciate if anybody could let me know of the extractor for the Field MEGBTR of R/3 Table COEP.
    Thanks
    Mani

    Hi,
Robertos answer is (as always ) correct. However the extractor 0CO_OM_CCA_9 will only extract the rows from COEP where OBJNR starts with KS or KL. The coep table also contain other objecs than cost centers for example postings for internal orders. The complete list of extractors that retrieves data from COEP (based on OBJNR prefix. Would be 0CO_OM_CCA_9, 0CO_OM_WBS_6, 0CO_OM_OPA_6,0CO_OM_ABC_7, 0CO_OM_NWA_2, 0CO_OM_NAE_2,
0CO_OM_NTW_2) - See SAP note 523742 for more info on mapping between CO extractors and R/3 tables. Although even all these extractors won't give you all data from COEP. In particular CO postings for Sales Orders (OBJNR starting with VB in COEP table) will not be extracted by any of these.
So if you wan't to extract any data from COEP I think that you have to build a generic extractor (e.g if you wan't CO postings for Sales orders - objects starting with VB). See this post for details
    CO Extraction for Sales Orders
    Regards,
    Christian

  • Question about table COEP

    Hi SAP Expert and Guru,
Currently I am gathering the Invoice Document Number from Project ID and below is my table flow.
Project ID/ WBS is being inserted to table PRPS-PSPHI,
Then the Object Number from PRPS-OBJNR is being captured and being used in table COEP-OBJNR to derive the value in COEP-BELNR.
Later the value in COEP-BELNR is being used in table COBK-BELNR to derive the invoice number in COBK-REFBN.
My question now is, is there any other table that we can use to replace table COEP, in order to get the Object Number OBJNR linked up with the Document Number BELNR which can be used in table COBK to derive the Invoice Number.
    Kindly Advise and consult.
    Thank you
    Regards
    Leonard Tan

Why dont you try to use the OBJNR from PRPS and use it in the COFP table?
I think you should be able to get the details you are looking for.
Let us know if it helps.

  • Table coep index 4

    Hello all ,
We are facing poor perfromance for 0co_om_oca_9 BW delta extraction.
The delay is at the ECC source system side between following 2 steps.
10.07.2009 03:04:07 1 LUWs confirmed and 1 LUWs to be deleted with function module RSC2_QOUT_CONFIRM_DATA
10.07.2009 04:16:13 Call customer enhancement BW_BTE_CALL_BW204010_E (BTE) with 3,095 records
While going thru notes I found that index 4 on table COEP must be active.
This index is active in my source system. But the problem is the index is at the DDIC level and not actually at the database level. I see a message "Index does not exist in database system ORACLE".
Index does not exist in database system ORACLE
Can anyone tell me if this index will actually help or I will need to create an actual index in database? If yes, how to do that?
    Regards,
    Sanjyot

    Hi there,
indexes are a highly DBMS dependent "thing".
One index on DBMS A might help a lot while it is just a waste of space and processing power on all other DBMSes.
The ABAP dictionary reflects this by having the option to mark indexes as specific to one database platform.
Therefore it might be that the COEP~4 index is useful for NON-Oracle-databases.
To get a clear recommendation you should open a support message to have the extractor statement analyzed.
    regards,
    Lars

Set the name property of your JTable, it's a Netbeans thing, rather than a Java problem. table.setName("MyTable");Have a look at this thread for details: SessionStorage warning while program is running
Please only post Java related questions here and post Netbeans questions to a netbeans forum/mailing list, thanks.
