Dyanamic mail receipient

Hi Friends,
I am looking for a proper solution where I want to send workflow notification to external mail box. Presently I am using SENDMAIL task and it is sending notification to SAP inbox. But for any recipient, I want to consider dynamically the email id mentioned in their user profile and send to that ID . I don't want to go for auto forwarding in SO13 or SO16. I appreciate your valid inputs.

The send mail task does indeed sends mail to external mailid. The only catch you need to have an mail server up and linked with SAP and the mail delivery job up and running in SCOT.
Once the necessary settings are done, use sendmail step type in workflow or use SELFITEM->SENDTASKDESCRIPTION to send external mails. You would only need to mention the user ids and mails will be sent to what mail-ids are defined in there profile(SU01)

Mail Receipient to be determined dynamically

HI All,
I have a requirement where i have to send a mail to user depending on the plant. So i have created a custom background method to determine the agent for the mail based on the plant. Then i am passing this as a expression to mail. I mean i am binding this to agent name to addressstring container of the mail task.
But I am getting the error Object 000000058286 method SENDTASKDESCRIPTION cannot be executed and Document <Budget For Order 800053 Exceeded> could not be sent. How can i rectify this error.
Please guide me as soon as possible.

hi raj,
You can directly use mail distribution list and define container element and put its type as SWHACTOR!!!
then append as much user you need to send to
OBJECT-TYPE = 'US'
OBJECT-TYPE = 'USERID'.
Then append it to container element.
You can define container element in workflow container and also in the corresponding task then do corresponding-binding between them!!
in send mail step use expression and put this element ino it
then don't worry it will works on !!!

How to delete the mail receipient in job

Hi,
Any one can help me regarding.My user wants me to delete a reciepient for a job.She doesn't know the job name.Any one have any idea here.If yes help me ,I will reward points for right answer.

Hi Aram,
Ask the user whats the program name and some part of the name she might be knowing.
Infact she can use the last mail which must have come from the job to identify the job. Once the job is identified then she can go to sm37, click on a schedule job and uncheck released, completed and cancell.
This will display the scheduled job and then go and edit the "Spool list recepient".

Mail with HTML BODY content?

Hi,
We seem to have a little problem with sending mails wtih HTML content, we have a "Link" in the mail body to be sent , so we are using html tags <a href=""link"></a> so that the mail receipient see the URL as a link ....
The actual code used is given below:-

This is an HTML problem. You have provided no text for the anchor.
You probably want something like:
<a href=http://URL.com:20000/pls/htmldb/f?p=102>Click Here</a>
And to be proper HTML, you should enclose the href value in double quotes, as in:
<a href="http://URL.com:20000/pls/htmldb/f?p=102">Click Here</a>

Is there a contextual menu plug-in to send files with Mail?

Anyone have any ideas if there exists a contextual menu plug-in that works between the Finder and Apple Mail which would allow you to email a file with a simple right-click.
Unfortunately to make a comparison with a PC, in the same way that you can select +Send To+ > +Mail Receipient+ via the contextual menu.

You can also make one yourself with Automator.
With Automator (/Applications/Automator):
Select "Files & Folders" and set 'Get content from' to "Use files and folders selected in the Finder when workflow runs"
From the far-left panel, under Library, select "Mail".
Drag "New Mail Message" and drop it under "Get Selected Finder Items" shown on the far right panel
Select "Save as Plug-in" from the File menu. Give it a meaningful name.. "Send with Mail" should be OK. The plug-in type you want is "Finder"
The action is now available from the contextual menu: More -> Automator -> Send with Mail

Convert the spool to xls format and email through attachment to the user

Hi all,
When I execute a report in background, I get spool. I need to convert the spool to xls format and email through attachment to the user.The xls file should not be saved on local system.
If I use the Spool Recepient tab in SM37 it mails the spool list as .txt file to the mail receipient. But I need to send it as an .xls file.
Can any one help me on this

Remittance advices

Hello Friends,
We have got one requirement. We need to send remittance advices through different output medium based on the vendor(Print, Fax, E-mail, EDI etc). How can we achieve this? Do we need to maintain any output condition records for these? If yes, where do we maintain and output type for this. How do we trigger output to send Remittance advices...
Could anybody please help me in this?

Continue in the same menu. Define Sender details - Assign Program RFKORD00 Print Program Payment Notice to your company code. Please check the standard parameters in the sender details :
Text ID : ADRS;
Standard Texts : Header Text : ADRS_HEADER
                         Footer Text : ADRS_FOOTER
                         Signature Text : ADRS_SIGNATURE
                         Sender : ADRS_SENDER
You can use T.Code F.66 to print letters wherein u give SAP01 in the output control and enter the Printer parameters. You can have print preview. From the tool bar you have the options to save
the file in local file or send to mail receipient etc.

Output message for invoice reduction

We need have an output message MLPP, with transmission medium 7 (Simple Mail) to be created only when Invoice Reduction is done. Partner functions to be assigned must be ME (Buyer) and MP (Mail receipient).
Can someone please advise me how to go about doing this?

For sending the output....
There will be the mail receipient in the alv output so that you can send it.
or by using the function module SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1, you should pass the internal table(that is passed for the ALV) and the internal table output will be send as an output foir the receipient that you mention in the FM.
The data will be send as an attachment.

A missing part is a stock of material that is already assigned to a goods issue at the time of goods receipt.This means that a current requirement could not be covered from existing stock(shortage or requirement undercoverage situation).As a rule,such a missing part bypasses the warehouse and ,upon receipt ,is forwarded directly to the point at which it is needed.However,this is only possible if the entered and the responsible materials planner are informed of such receipt.
You must make following settings in customizing for Inventory management and physical inventory under Goods Receipt>Set Missing Parts Check
1)Activation of missing part check per plant
2)Definition of a checking rule
3)Specification of the details for control of the availability check:To use the missing part check,you must enter a checking horizon for the missing part check.The checking horizon indcates for how many days in the future the system checks whether shortfall quantities exist for the material.Within the checking horizon,an email is sent from inventory management informing the materials planner that there has been a goods receipt for a missing part.
4)Assignment of checking rule:At transaction level,the missing part check uses the same checking rules as the availability check.However,you have the option of maintaining different checking rules at movement type level.The checking rule of the movement type takes precedence over that of the transaction.Note that an entry for the movement type without an entry for the transaction has no effect.
5)Specification of the mail receipient(Email user):The system sends the missing part message to materials planner(MRP Controller) responsible for the material.In order for this to happen,a user ID must be assigned to the materials planner
6)Specifications of missing part expediter:If no user ID assigned to the responsible materials planner,the message is ent to the central missing part expediter responsible for the plant.This person is defined per plant.

Program Delivery in iMS 5.2

Hello World,
I am migrating from Netscape Messaging server 4.1 to iMS 5.2 and have everything up and running except Program Delivery.
I recompiled the executables and tested them individually so I know they work. However, when I try to get them to run from the mail server, I get nothing.
The manual states that after any change is made to a program a full dirsync must be run for them to come into effect. I am using Direct LDAP mode so I don't see the point. I tried doing it anyway but still nothing. Is there another way of putting it up to date?
Here's my setup:
- executables in <server-instance>/imta/programs
- ran imsimta program to register the executable
- added program name to the user account in appropriate field
- created a unix user corresponding to the user account and made it the owner of the executable.
Am I missing something?

If you set up the program to run using the mail receipient's uid, then the
user must have home directory defined in LDAP and that dir must be writable
by that uid.
If you set up the program to run as mailsrv, then you must define home dir
for mailsrv in /etc/passwd and that dir must be writeable by mailsrv.

Mail is sent twice to same receipient from one mail send step

Hi Experts,
I have designed one workflow , in that i have a mail sending step to send mails to external mail ids .
my workflow is working fine but the problem is , its sending mail two times to the same receipient ....
(i have not mentioned 2 mail sending steps , the mail id i hav also hard coded in the mail send step .)
can anybody please help me on this .

Populating mail id in Receipient at Web UI level

Hello Guys,
I have a requirement where in i have to populate recipient mail id in the current business transaction(Activity -- Out going E mail) from its preceding document(Activity -- Contact Us).I have implemented an enhancement and i can see the receipient getting populated at GUI level.But in Web UI,it is not getting populated.
Is my enhancement implementation not working at Web UI level?
Do i need to make some changes at UI level?
How should i test whether my enhancement Implementation is getting triggered from web UI or not?
I tried by putting an external break point at the Implementation ,but the control did not moved to the break point.
Please suggest.

I have implemented the logic in the function module :
COM_PARTNER_OUTGOING_COMM.
I have set an external breakpoint at this FM .Control does not stops here.
Is there a possibility to reach at this FM in debug mode? OR This FM is not called while running a UI.

Outlook 2010 apostrophe, single and double quotes are changes to question mark while sending mails to other internet receipient.

We are using MS Outlook 2010 as our mail client. But we have noticed that whenevr we sent a mail to any other internet mail recipient all the "apostrophe", "single" and "double quotes" have automatically converted to ?. We have
done almost all the workaround found in this site such as
1.New a message and focus on the message window > click File > Options > Mail > Spelling and Autocorrect… > Proofing > AutoCorrect Options… > AutoFormat > clear the box before “Straight quotes” with “smart quotes”
2. Used different encoding. We presently using US-ASCII for outgoing message. etc.
Need your help to sort out these issues urgently.

What is your account type? IMAP, POP or Exchange?
Send an email from the webmail, ask the recipient if this issue persists.
As far as I know, this problem is always related to the encoding for outgoing messages, and here I suggest you try UTF-8:
Go to File -> Options -> Advanced -> International options -> Uncheck "Automatically select encoding for outgoing messages", then select "Unicode (UTF-8)" beside "Preferred encoding for outgoing messages" -> OK.
