Dynamic Button Creation in list toolbar

Hi all,
I have a requirement to add dynamic button in list guibb.
I have a ovp floorplan in which I used tabbed uibb. In tabbed uibb I used list uibb.
Now I want dynamic button in list toolbar.
Please give some suggestion which help me in achieving this.

Is there any way possible in case i want to over write the toolbar from the configuration and create a static toolbar with necessary grouping? Please let me know in case there is any work around i can try.

Dynamic Button creation and alignment on standard OIF toolbar

Hello Experts,
I'm using IF_FPM_CNR_OIF->define_button method to create buttons which i require on the application toolbar of OIF dynamically. I can observer that all the buttons which got created are aligned next to other where the grouping is left aligned.
Now my requirement is, i need to group few of the buttons as left aligned and few buttons right aligned (which means that few buttons are starting from the right end of the toolbar and few to be from the left side). Can any one advice on how to achieve this?

Hi Ginger,
I don't believe this will be easy, since the resultlist right side of the toppart is used for system buttons such as the Excel download, Graphics and personalize buttons.
This is embedded in the definition of the THTMLB classes and thus best not changed.
I don't see another option.
On the overview page it would be possible, since there it uses the Toolbar related methods such as:
IF_BSP_WD_TOOLBAR_CALLBACK~GET_SYSTEM_BUTTONS
this method contains all the system buttons of the OV page such as Print, Personalize, etc.
by redefining this method you should be able to add your own buttons, but this is not a solution for your question.

its working fine and iam able to see the button .....but when i create another button thorugh layout design its going for dump....whats the reason .?
Cant we create static and dynamic buttons at a time?

Hi Shailaja,
Yes you can add static and dynamic ui elements together in the same view.
The possible problem here could be the way in which the ui elements are added.
You have created the dynamic button under the root container uielement.
What about you static button ? Check your layout and layout data property.

Try to open the right-click context menu of the Back button and see if you can go back further.
The current active entry in that list has a bullet in front of it.
If you hover an entry in that session history list then it shows the direction by adding an arrow at the left.
You can left click an item to open it in the current tab or middle-click or Ctrl left-click an entry in that list to open that link in new tab, just like you can with other links.

In 4.0.1, is it possible to move the Bookmarks Button on the Bookmarks Toolbar to a different position on the Bookmarks Toolbar from it default position on the far right?

The default Bookmarks Button is on the far, upper right side of the browser window on the Bookmarks Toolbar. It's distracting there, on the edge, in Siberia. I use it a thousand times per day. It's unnatural and distracting to always be turning to the edge, away from "the action". Is there any way to slide its location on the toolbar? Or at least put it on the far left where there's more "action"? I doubt I'm the only one with this instinct, otherwise the Firefox button and items on the usual menu bar (like File, Edit) would not always be placed on the upper left, not upper right. I'm not asking about the other, optional Bookmarks Button that can be put on the Navigation Toolbar which functions differently and more cumbersomely.

To move the bookmarks button on the Bookmarks Toolbar, you have to go into Customize first. Just drag the button palette to one side so you have full access to the bar. The only things on it should be "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" and the icon for the bookmarks drop-down list. Hopefully then you can swap their positions.
(And it is weird that the buttons look the same when one shows a menu and other opens the Bookmarks Sidebar.)

How to add a button in a list uibb

I need help.
I have to add a Button ( or just events to a button ) to a list uibb dynamically at runtime, which means I can't use the ~get-definition method.
This means I have to do it in ~get-data. I can define my actions there and add them to ct_action_usage but I can't come up with a way
to assign them to the button.
Does anyone have any idea how that might work?

Hi Micheal,
We can achieve the required functionality in get_data method. First,Create the button and assign it to concerned action ( initially defined in GET_DEFINITION method ) at UIBB configuration. Now in case if you want it hide it at start up ,& have to modify based on a event ,the visible parameter of the CT_ACTION_USAGE can be used to achieve it.
VISIBLE = CL_WD_UIELEMENT=>E_VISIBLE-NONE. " To hide the UI concerned to method
VISIBLE = CL_WD_UIELEMENT=>E_VISIBLE-VISIBLE." TO show the UI concerned to the method.
In your case , following code will help accordingly. I have changed the visibility of button based on a event, initially I have disable the button and based on certain event I have enabled it again.

Why are Add-on Buttons along with the Toolbar keep disappearing in the Firefox4,5&9?

I arrange all the Add-on Buttons on a Toolbar created for this specific purpose(Options - Toolbar Layout - Add New Toolbar). I recently upgraded from Firefox 3.6 to Firefox 12 and that's when the trouble started.All the Add-on Buttons along with the Toolbar started disappearing.I checked if any of the add-on (one by one)is causing this problem but found nothing.But the Add-on Buttons work fine when arranged on the Status Bar(now the so called Addon Bar).
Later I found out that this particular problem exists in all the Browsers based on Firefox's latest version(Pale Moon,Cometbird,Wyzo,Epic etc). That means something is causing this toolbar to disappear in the latest versions of Firefox(i.e., Firefox 4,5,10 and Firefox 12). So please help me to rectify this problem.I am impressed by the improvements made in the latest versions of Firefox but due to this problem Firefox has become useless for me.
Don't tell me about "places.sqlite" "localstore.rdf" and all that shit.I've searched the whole God damned Web,Tried changing to new Profile,Deleted localstore.rdf and saw whether it will work.This is my last resort. Firefox 3.6 was a great browser.Within a span of one year you morons have jumped from Firefox v3.6 to Firefox v12! Not allowing the Extension ecosystem to stabilize.Giving no time to apps developers to catchup.The App developers have fallen behind and half of my addons are not working.You people have become an example on how to kill a great product.The guys at MS might be watching in delight the Firefox's harakiri!

Since I only ever put add-on buttons on the main Navigation toolbar (or the Add-ons bar) rather than my own custom bar, I haven't experienced this myself.
Can you detect a pattern with particular add-ons' buttons (or native Firefox buttons) being removed time and again?
In your new profile test, did you add extensions one at a time (one per restart of Firefox), or otherwise try to isolate particular add-ons as the issue? (Bugzilla has at least one example of an extension causing a problem with custom toolbars: [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=667627 667627 – divx html5 removes added toolbars]. I don't see this particular extension on your list.)
I wonder whether some extensions now include some kind of grooming function or incompatibility that removes their buttons from custom toolbars? It would be easier to investigate with some problem examples.

You can create new secondary pages in contributor mode - you would normally do this via a dynamic list fragment though technically you could also achieve it by switching region content and creating new data files. You can then use the linz wizard to link between pages.
If you are talking about creating new primary pages and sections in your site then you would need to use something like Site Studio Manager fragment.

I am not sure about this, but you can give it a try.
Try
SET PF-STATUS '<YOUR PF-STATUS>'
and you can add buttons in the application toolbar. Have a gut feeling, it might work. Not sure though.

* If the menu bar is hidden then press and hold the Alt key down, that should make the Menu bar appear (Firefox 3.6 on Windows) (see [[Menu bar is missing]]).

* If items are missing then see if you can find them in the View > Toolbars > Customize window.

How can we use C# to read dynamic parameter's value list from .rpt?

I'm using Cystal Report 2008. We know starting from CR XI we can create dynamic parameters, the list of items of this kind of parameter are fetching from database. So in general the SQLs to get the list of values for dynamic parameters are stored in the .rpt.
In Crystal Report Designer, if I preview a report with dynamic parameters, it will first query the database and then show the input dialog with list of values from database for user to choose. My question is can we implement the same thing by our C# code? I'm planning to use C# code to read this dynamic parameter's value list from .rpt and render them on the web page. Then pass back the user selected values to the .rpt to run the report after user make the choice. I didn't find any APIs can do this. Is it possible?
