Dynamic evs valueset in table rows

Hi eperts,
is it possible to have a dynamic EVS as a table column in a table row. Each row will have a different valueset for that column depending on an other column value in the row.
Is it possible in ebdynpro..Can u pls post with a simple example code.
Thanks
Arindam

Yes it is possible. Do you have your code for creating EVS?

    in my experience, you have to write a hack that goes something like this:
    declare int to hold number of rows
    do db search
    move cursor to last row (i forget the function call name, but you can find it)
    call getRow() or something to get the row number the cursor is on
    then you call findFirst or getFirst or sometihng to go back to start

  • How to identify the last instance of a dynamic table row

    Hi all,
    I am trying to figure out how to create an action for my form in Livecycle Designer ES2 that will affect the most recent instance of a dynamic table row. I have a table with a repeatable row where the user will enter information about a purchased part and I have buttons that allow the user to add and remove rows. I need to create an additional add row button that will add a new instance of the repeatable table row (this is not an issue) and will disable and change the background color of the first cell in the added row. The problem I am having is how to have an action that affects the last instance of a row.
    If anyone knows how to do this in Javascript I would appreciate some advice/help.

    Hi,
    I think this is beyond what an action will provide. You will a have to write some JavaScript directly.  When you call the addInstance method it returns the new row, so you can do something like;
    var row = Table1._Row1.addInstance();
    row.TextField1.border.fill.color.value = "255,0,0";
    row.TextField1.access = "protected";
    To find the last row and do the same thing you can do something like;
    var row = Table1.resolveNode("Row1[" + (Table1._Row1.count - 1) + "]");
    row.TextField1.border.fill.color.value = "255,0,0";
    row.TextField1.access = "protected";

  • Resize table row height dynamically

    Hi All,
      I have a requirement to display four item texts in one of the table column. I had created a subform with four texts in that column. I am getting the data as required, but by default the table row size has increased because of four texts in the column. At times, i have only data in two texts, still getting the default size of the row(0.41in height), how can i adust the height based on the data. How can i adust the row of the table dynamically.
    Thanks,
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar,
    I did similar to this, where as my table is entirly designed in subforms, so there is no auto setting of the columns of a row.
    I had the below code, which finds the maximum height of a coulmn element and sets its height to all of the coulms of a row instance.
    I call this function on layout ready event of the row, as below
    ItemGenerator.setHeight(this);
      function setHeight(rowData){
         if(rowData.presence == "visible"){
    //             xfa.host.messageBox("height set start in layout ready");
               var yearH = parseFloat(xfa.layout.h(rowData.FinYear,"in")).toFixed(3);
    //           xfa.host.messageBox("1");
               var ipaH = parseFloat(xfa.layout.h(rowData.IPAType,"in")).toFixed(3);
    //           xfa.host.messageBox("2");
               var expenseH = parseFloat(xfa.layout.h(rowData.ExpenseType,"in")).toFixed(3);
    //           xfa.host.messageBox("3");
               var descH = parseFloat(xfa.layout.h(rowData.Description,"in")).toFixed(3);
    //           xfa.host.messageBox("4");
               var payH = parseFloat(xfa.layout.h(rowData.PayType,"in")).toFixed(3);
    //           xfa.host.messageBox("5");
               var payconH = parseFloat(xfa.layout.h(rowData.PayConditions,"in")).toFixed(3);
    //           xfa.host.messageBox("6");
               var acqconH = parseFloat(xfa.layout.h(rowData.AcqittalCond,"in")).toFixed(3);
    //           xfa.host.messageBox("7");
               var maxHeight = Math.max(yearH,ipaH,expenseH,descH,payH,payconH,acqconH)+"in";
               var marginBottom = parseFloat(Math.max(yearH,ipaH,expenseH,descH,payH,payconH,acqconH)- 0.2).toFixed(3)+"in";
    //           xfa.host.messageBox("max height = "+maxHeight);
    //           xfa.host.messageBox("bot margin  = "+marginBottom );
               rowData.h = maxHeight;
               rowData.IPA.h = maxHeight;
               rowData.IPA.margin.bottomInset = marginBottom ;
    //           xfa.host.messageBox("8");

               rowData.PayType.h = maxHeight;
    //           xfa.host.messageBox("13");

    Hi,
    If you really want to have a dynamic table, then you will have to find a way to generate a whole new table, and then copy the data from the old table to the new one. There is no way to modify a type during runtime in ABAP.
    Here an example how to generate a dynamic table based on another internal table, hope this will help you.

  • Dynamic declarative component won't work properly within table row

    Hi guys,
    I built a dynamic declarative component which basically consists of an af:inputText surrounded by a af:panelLabelAndMessage tag.
    The component works fine until I put it inside a table column, then none of the attribute values get set.
    The problem seems to be related to the table row binding #{row.binding.Name.inputValue} , if I use a regular binding #{binding.Name.inputValue} it works ok.
    The declarative components attribute is defined as
    <attribute>
        <attribute-name>kbez</attribute-name>
        <attribute-class>java.lang.Object</attribute-class>
    </attribute>and is used as the inputText's value attribute
    <af:componentDef var="attrs" componentVar="component">
        <af:panelLabelAndMessage label="#{attrs.label}" id="dc_plam1"
                                 for="dc_it1" labelStyle="white-space:nowrap;"
                                 showRequired="#{attrs.showRequired}"
                                 rendered="#{attrs.rendered}">
            <af:inputText id="dc_it1" value="#{attrs.kbez}"

    Am I doing it wrong or is this a bug?

    Hi,
    +#{row.binding.Name.inputValue} , if I use a regular binding #{binding.Name.inputValue} it works ok.+
    Don't think that #{binding.Name.inputValue} works okay in a table because it doesn't stamp the component per row. Actually I don't know if we support dynamic declarative components in a stamped environment (table). I know though that we don't for taglib declarative components in this context.
    Reason why it doesn't work: Tables are stamped at runtime, which means that for better performance, only the generated HTML is reused for each row with different data - not the component. Your component requires itself to be re-created for each row so it can re-read the attribute again. This is not the case in a stameped environment
    Solution: For your particular use case I don't think that a dynamic declarative component is needed as you can add the construct (af:inputText surrounded by a af:panelLabelAndMessage) directly into an af:column tag. The declarative component makes more sense for reuse of layout areas (e.g. custom tabs) that are iterated within an af:forEach (in which case instances of the decalarative components would be created).
    Bottom line: tables stamp their components and as such the attribute property exposed on a DDC doesn't seem to be called for each row, which is by design. This can be considered a bug if there is a use case demanding for a DDC in a table. If this is a requirement for you (and you can't directly add the components to the af:column tag) feel free to file this as a service request with customer support (required a support contract) so development can have a look if the requirement is feasible to implement.

  • Generating Indiex for dynamically added table rows  in HRFORMS

    Hi ,
    We are developing Payslip  in HRFORMS by copying standard form.
    We have got one business scenario which requires a table rows needs to generated dynamically to populate the retro values in the form.
    We could able to generate the table rows dynamically by below command in HRFORMs scripts.
    Table1.Row.InstanceManager.addInstance(1) but it is not generating with correct index.
    Please help in adding table rows dynamically at specified index.
    Regards,
    akula

    You can do that with 2 differents ways :
    by creating a colomn key which is the concatenation of the key for each lin
    by using field groups
    I think you have to use the second one.
    [sample by help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/ce/b518b6513611d194a50000e8353423/frameset.htm]
    In this case you can put dynamiquely what are you wanted in your keys.

  • How to create editable tablecells for a single table row dynamically?

    Hi
    How to make the cell of a tablerow editable based on flag in backing list object bound to row? I can't decide the editable property while creating table columns. So i can't use setCellFactory() during creation. However setCellFactory() makes all cells in table column editable.How to make non-editable table row cell editable and vice-versa based on flag?

    hi
    good
    if you want to create two different view for a same table than you cant give the same name for the same view,otherwise it would allow you to create the view.Try out with different view name as well as the function group name,i hope this ll work.

  • Populate drop-down list in table row or repeating subform

    I am currently working on an Adobe Interactive Form integrated with web dynpro ABAP.  I would like to create a table or repeating subform with a number of drop-down lists populated from SAP.
    I am using the Enumerated Drop-down list from the WebDynproNative menu.  In my WDDOINIT method, I am populating the attributes using the set_attribute_value_set method.  This is working fine when my dropdown is not in a table or repeating subform.  The dropdown is populated and the selected value is returned to SAP when submitting the form.  However, when I place the dropdown in a table row or a repeating subform, the dropdown is not populated.
    Any ideas or suggestions?

    Hi There,
    I am facing problem in Dropdown lists in Subforms.
    I want the region dropdown list values according to country (only for DE) dropdown list value. Both Dropdown lists are in a Subform.
    For that, I have used this in EXIT event of Country Dropdown list:
    if (this.rawValue == "DE Deutschland")
    data.Item.IT_ITEM.DATA.ZZ_REGION.clearItems();
    data.Item.IT_ITEM.DATA.ZZ_REGION.addItem("Schleswig-Holstein","1");
    data.Item.IT_ITEM.DATA.ZZ_REGION.addItem("Hamburg","2");
    data.Item.IT_ITEM.DATA.ZZ_REGION.addItem("Niedersachsen","3);
    data.Item.IT_ITEM.DATA.ZZ_REGION.addItem("Bremen","4");
    data.Item.IT_ITEM.DATA.ZZ_REGION.addItem("Nordrhein-Westfalen","5");
    data.Item.IT_ITEM.DATA.ZZ_REGION.addItem("Hessen","6");
    data.Item.IT_ITEM.DATA.ZZ_REGION.addItem("Rheinland-Pfalz","7");
    data.Item.IT_ITEM.DATA.ZZ_REGION.addItem("Baden-Württemberg","8");
    data.Item.IT_ITEM.DATA.ZZ_REGION.addItem("Bayern","9");
    data.Item.IT_ITEM.DATA.ZZ_REGION.addItem("Saarland","10");
    data.Item.IT_ITEM.DATA.ZZ_REGION.addItem("Berlin","11");
    data.Item.IT_ITEM.DATA.ZZ_REGION.addItem("Brandenburg","12");
    data.Item.IT_ITEM.DATA.ZZ_REGION.addItem("Mecklenburg-Vorpomme","13");
    data.Item.IT_ITEM.DATA.ZZ_REGION.addItem("Sachsen","14");
    data.Item.IT_ITEM.DATA.ZZ_REGION.addItem("Sachsen-Anhalt","15");
    data.Item.IT_ITEM.DATA.ZZ_REGION.addItem("Thüringen","16");
    else
    data.Item.IT_ITEM.DATA.ZZ_REGION.clearItems();
    It does only change first region dropdownlist value, not others because both dropdown lists are in a Subform.
    Other problem is that it works only when All Country Dropdown lists are "DE". Means, first region dropdown list depends upon not only first country dropdown but also other dropdown.
    My requirement is, If first country Dropdown is "DE", only first Region Dropdown list should be fill, not others. And so on.
    Please provide solution that How can I change all dropdown lists of a Subform dynamically?
    Waiting for reply.
    Thank you

    problem with my pages.
    I should say with the way they display in DW CS3.
    The problem is that the row expands in design view to
    accommodate the variable names, unlike previous prevouse versions
    that display the table at its true size.
    In this example:
    <td colspan="2" class="smallbutton"><div
    align="left">
    <%=(KT_escapeAttribute(rsPub_Participant.Fields.Item("sFName").Value))%>
    <%=(KT_escapeAttribute(rsPub_Participant.Fields.Item("sMName").Value))%>
    <%=(KT_escapeAttribute(rsPub_Participant.Fields.Item("sLName").Value))%></div>
    </td>
    Under older versions the table row will not grow to
    accommodate each of the fields. But in DW CS3 it does making it
    difficult to design a page.
    Question: How can I turn this off "fix it"?
    Thanks

  • Dynamicly creating an internal table with header line

    Hi experts,
    I am trying to do a read on an internal table using field symbols of type any table. To be able to read more than one row at once, I'd like to read it into another internal table (instead of just one line and instead of looping through them one by one).
    So far the following line rendered an error that the target internal table doesn't have a header line
    read table <fs_v_tab> WITH KEY (<fs_comp>) = <fs_param>-low INTO <fs_v_tab>.
    (also attempted using "<fs_v_tab>->*" & "<fs_v_tab>[]" to be silly)
    Based on the following article, I was wondering if it were possible to dynamicly create an internal table with header line.
    [http://help-abap.blogspot.com/2008/09/dynamic-internal-table-creation.html|http://help-abap.blogspot.com/2008/09/dynamic-internal-table-creation.html]
    Any help or tips on how to dynamicly filter an internal table field-symbol is greatly appreciated!

    Just read the online help:
    This statement reads a row from internal table itab.
    Or more exact:
    This statement reads one row from internal table itab.
    Therefore you can not read multiple lines into another table. The header line is needed to put the result in. And this is not what you intended, the result will be in the header line, not in the table itself.
    If the row to be read is not uniquely specified, the first suitable row is read. In the case of index tables, this row has the lowest table index of all matching rows.
    At least you have to do what you dont wanna do: looping.

  • Dynamic forms from 2 tables

    Hi, (Sorry for the long post)
    DB Table one contains 4 fields:
    EventName
    Venue
    Price
    Date
    Form one is used by the owner to enter the data for an event into the DB Table One - there are several different events.
    DB Table two contains 7 fields (4 of the fields to retrieve data from table one)
    Name
    contact
    email
    Event Name
    Venue
    Price
    Date
    Form two is for a person registering for one of the events entered into DB table one.
    I set up a recordset called rsListEvents and then used the "Insert Record Form Wizard" to create form two with the following fields:
    EventName
    Venue
    Price
    eDate
    which I set to defaults
    {rsListEvents.EventName}
    {rsListEvents.Venue}
    {rsListEvents.Price}
    {rsListEvents.eDate}
    I have a page listing the events and when register for this event is clicked I was hoping the data from table one would be entered into form two and the user then fills in the rest manually where all the data is entered into DB table two.
    Unfortunately even though the URL indicates that the correct information from table one should be entered into form two .php?id_event=2
    The data from DB table one row id_event=1 is always displayed no matter what the record number is.
    Can anyone tell me where I have gone wrong
    Thanks
    laurence

    I am simplyfing this so I can get help on a basic level ( Mr basic)
    Why does this not work?
    I set up a Dynamic List using DB Table 1 and set the detailed page.
    I set up a record set on the detailed page using the same table.
    SELECT *
    FROM addEvents
    When I test I get the results from ID 1 no matter which one I choose. But when I test the RS I get both dummy entries 1 and 2
    So I am missing something that needs to be appended to the URL.

  • Add dynamic buttons to each report row and bind the row data to buttons specific to that row

    I have a page with a form at the top and a report at the bottom which is tied to a table. I need to add a pair of buttons for each row of the table and add dynamic actions for these buttons. I need to submit the data corresponding to the row to a REST service and refresh the table/row. I know it is possible to add ajax call and refresh the table after the response is received. But I am not sure how I can dynamically include a pair of buttons on each row and have the access the data corresponding to the record when a particular button is clicked. I was not able to find such a feature using the help page. Can you please let me know if this is possible. Thanks in advance.
    Below is the representation of how I need the page to look like.
    Col 1
    Col 2
    Col 3
    data 1
    data 21
    data 31
    Button 1
    Button 2
    data 2
    data 22
    data 32
    Button 1
    Button 2
    data 3
    data 23
    data 33
    Button 1
    Button 2
    data 4
    data 24
    data 34
    Button 1
    Button 2
    I should be able to access data 1, data21, data 31 from button 11 and button21 etc.

    select data1,
              data2,
              data3,
              null button1,
              null button2,
              rowid r_id
    from .....
    If you edit the column for button1 and navigate to the Column Formatting region you can create your button here, several different ways.  You will need to play around with how you prefer.  See below:
    <input class="button1" type="button" id="#R_ID#" value="label for the button" /> or <button id="#R_ID#">label for button</button> or you could use <a> and apply css of your theme.
    You also create both buttons in a single column.  From here you can reference any of the columns from your select by using the #COLUNMNAME# format (as I did with R_ID).
    You will next need to something similar for all columns you want to be able to grab when you click the buttons.  See below:
    --- This would be for data1 column
    <span id="D1-#R_ID#">#DATA1#</span>
    You would do these for each column that you want access to when button clicked as mentioned above.  You could bypass this step and use jquery to traverse the DOM using .closest() and .find() and give each column a distinct class.  Is is your preference.
    You would then create a dynamic action triggered when .button1 is clicked.  Now that you have that object you can get the id of the triggering object which would be your r_id and from there you can access all your individual data points(all this done in a javascript in the dynamic action) and assign to hidden items on your page.  The next step of that dynamic action you could execute pl/sql and pass those in page items.
    Hope that all makes sense.

    Just as a bit of clarification:  the r_id column does not have to be rowid, but it does need to be unique for each row return.  You could use your primary key or rownum.  Whatever works for your scenario.

  • Table row colour loading problem

    Hi,
    Thanks for your time.
    I want to display table row colour dynamically based on table data.
    Am able to achieve it partially as below,when I scroll the table the loaded colour dissappears.
    I use the below code:-
    template: new sap.ui.commons.TextView().bindProperty("text","objectivecategory",function(category){
      if(category=="Operational"){
      backgroundColor='#fff2cb';
      backgroundColorClass ="operationColor"
      else if(category=="Strategic"){
      backgroundColor='#e8f5fe';
      }else{
      backgroundColor='#ecf6c1';
               cellId = this.getId();
               //alert("cellId"+cellId);
               $("#"+cellId).parent().parent().parent().css("background-color",backgroundColor);
