Dynamic filter in Design studio using drop-down when data source is Universe

Hi community,
Is there anyway to create Cascading filter in Design studio when data source is Universe using drop-down component (Dimension filters cannot be used in my requirement).
My requirement is,
I have 2 drop-downs:
drop-down 1 : shows the regions in a country.
drop-down 2 : should display states based the region selected in the first drop-down (drop-down 1). Also drop-down 2 should pass selected state as input to the data-source

Using Drop down box in a table control

I'm new to ABAP. I'm trying to use drop down boxes as fields inside a table control.Im using 2 fields (f1 and f2). I want to dynamically populate values in f2 based on f1 i.e once i choose a value in f1 and click on f2 , it should give me a list of values in f2 based on the value of f1. f1 and f2 are from different tables.
what i have done : i am able to populate values in f2 (based on the value of f1)
Problem::
1. Once i choose a value in the field f1, the value is not remaining in the field. Once i choose, the value blinks for a while and goes off ! ... ( my guess :: PBO is clearing it )
2. After i choose a value in f1 in the first row, the corresponding values in f2 are getting populated in all the rows.

For your first problem: Try to handle normal field (without table control) first.
In PAI, you have to move value from dynpro field to your program field. In case of tables, you have to modify corresponding line of internal table.
Then next PBO will read updated value and screen display doesn't loose any longer changes.
In case of identical naming of screen fields / global fields in program, some movements are done automatically by system based on this naming. That's of course not possible with internal tables, so try a global field with a name different to field on screen to see the behavior.
For your second problem: I guess, your struggling with a global work area of your internal table, which is not correctly filled with screen values for each time -> once filled, all lines changed.

The easiest way to do this is to define a domain for Gender that maps to
a droplist widget. ForteExpress will then automatically display the
widget in any ArrayWindow or FormWindow in which Gender appears. (I
don't think outlinefields support this widget.) There is a documented
customization for adding SQL to the domain to automatically fill it, but
we've found this to be a performance drag. What we usually do is cache
this type of list information on the client, usually by loading it into
arrays of listelement in a service object at user logon. The list is
then ready to go whenever a window needs it, and you can set the element
list of the droplist in PostOpenInit or wherever it seems appropriate.

SAPGUI 7.20 patch level 7 crashes while working in ALV using drop downs

We have a set of users that work mostly in ALV transactions and can have a few open at the same time. They also use the drop downs quite frequently switching back and forth between ALV's. After working like this for awhile SAPGUI crahses.
Unfortunately we have not been able to re-create this issue so I have not entered an OSS message. The only constant is using ALV & drop downs.
We have done the following:
Patched the GUI - no help
upgraded pc's - These user received new pc's with higher memory & Windows 7 this helped slow down the amount of crashes occurring but did not eliminate them.
We have monitored the memory on the pc & that does not seem to be the issue.
Searched OSS, Google & SDN
They are using the Signature View and IE 8 .
Has anyone else experienced these issues or maybe have some suggestions on how to proceed?

Thanks for the response Jude.
I cannot say that all ALV users are affected or at least they are not reporting it. This particular group of users mainly works in ALV & with very large amount of data loaded into the ALV.
I watched the user this morning. She is filling in data using drop downs & ctrl C and ctrl V, just s few fields at a time. There was a note about copying large amount of data in ALV but that has been fixed & we have that patch.
I ran the nwcheckworkstation and it came back ok.
I wanted to trace the GUI but we cannot recreate the issue. So the trace would have to be running for sometime before the user crashes which is not even a guarantee and I am not too sure that is a good idea since traces usually produce large files. Also not too sure which GUI component to trace.

Missing Export and Use Drop Down Lists

I cannot export my .mov files to any format other than .mov as the Export and Use drop down lists are missing. When I go to File > Export the text for Export and Use are there followed by blank gray space as if the drop down lists never existed.
I just upgraded to Pro today and had infrequently used QuickTime Player previously. I have the most current version 7.6.5. The other functions appear to be working normally, but I am not a "familiar user" so I can't say for sure.
Any ideas?

Problems using drop down menus in safari v7

I am having problems using drop down menus in safari v7. e.g. on the BMW used cars website (http://usedcars.bmw.co.uk), there's a drop down box for location. This only goes up to 50 miles on my macbook but goes up to national on my iPad. Any ideas?

I tried to import it through MS Word but iPad doesn't support the document. Looking into converting document into a Numbers spreadsheet as it has drop down boxes but unfortunately need to buy the £6.99 numbers app for iPad to make it worthwhile. Might just stick to good old fashioned "cross out the answers that don't apply" using pen and paper..................

Use drop-down menu to control plot visibility

Hello everyone,
I have simple data reading program that loads and parses a text file containing tab-delimited data. Currently, they are parsed and plotted in 7 separate graphs. I am trying to reduce this to 3 graphs where the user can select from a drop-down menu what they would like to be displayed.
Eg. Graph 1 would have choices data A, B and C; Graph 2 would have data D, E, F and etc
The user would select on the drop-down box data A on graph 1 and data F on graph 2.
Is there an easy way to this? I have read some ideas about plot visibility.

Each plot on a chart has its own Plot Visible property. One easy solution is to graph all the data, then set the visibility property for each line based on the selection from the drop-down menu. To set visibility for an individual plot, first set the Active Plot property to the plot that you want, then set the Visible property. You can do this in a single property node; make sure that the Active Plot property is at the top (property nodes execute in top-to-bottom order, and can be mixed read and write).

Where did sidebar genius go in new version of itunes? And where is the "other Versions" option previously on the drop down when purchasing?

Ok, I have used itunes for many years and I cannot find the sidebar genius that used to suggest similar songs based on ones purchased that you could turn on when going through you library. I amsl cannot find "other versions" from the drop down when purchasing tos earch for covers etc?
Sooo, disappointing. Does anyone know where they are?

With iTunes 11 on PCs the drop-down menus are hidden by default - control-B should get the menus to show

My tool bar won't drop down when I'm online and I can't click out of tabs

When I'm online, my tool bar won't drop down when I move my mouse to the top of the screen. I have to keep pushing the ESC key until the screen finally minimizes. Also, I no longer have the little x in the left corner of my tabs, I have to right click the tabs in order to exit out of them. It's really frustrating and this just all of a sudden started yesterday. Any advice as to how I can fix this?

No - there is no x in an active tab, either - that's my problem! It's nuts.
I can't exit a full screen using option+command+f. ESC was my final straw. Thanks anyway.
I guess I should emphasize that I'm not new to Apple, so I know how my computer works. But I am new to this particular problem, and like I said before, this just started all of a sudden.

I believe you are referring to sub menu items which links to child pages.
Select menu in design mode and in options please select "All Pages" in menu type. This should resolve the issue.

How do I stop the toolbar from dropping down when I load a program? When I close a program Like world or Warcraft for example the toolbar keeps opening up when the World of Warcraft manager reopens How do I stop this for this and other programs
I use, its really annoying and should be fixed or a setting made to stop it from doing this entirely.

No, You can not use sql as a data source for a project.
You have 3 options to achieve it:
1. You can create a Sharepoint list with desired column ,fill desired data in that list then you can create a MS project from Sharepoint List.
2. You can create a SSRS report in which you can display grantt chart Joe has given you that link.
3. You can write a macro in MPP which will take data from your excel. In excel you will fetch data from your stored procedure. write a schedule which will run every day to update your data or
create an excel report in which will update automatically and write macro in mpp which will fetch the data then publish it so that it would be available to team members.

Using 2 web services data sources in the same report

I've been trying unsuccesffuly to use 2 web services data sources in a report. The main report accesses the first web service to get job summary information. 3 fields are are passed as parameters to a sub-report and used as parameters for the sub-report selection. Each report works fine independently, but when I link them together the subreport alway fails to retrieve data.
