Dynamic header lins in downloaded file.

hello gurus,
i have Report.  i am using that to download data from standard tables and custom tables. here i maitained fieldtables name as headerlines in downlaod files.
that means each file is downloading with fielad lables as like this
name  age     place
a        20      Bangalore
b        21      Hyderabad
for above format i used GUI_DOWNLOAD FM in my report.I used perametes  filename, fieldnames, datatab in that FM.
now my client is asking that the header lines should be generated dynamically
and  english speaking colleague should get english headers a german speaking colleague the german headers.
That is my problem, please help me it is very urgent

  • How to add header line in a file from XI system using file adapters

    Hi All,
    I need to add header line (Column names) in a file coming from XI system.
    I am using file adapters.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Gaurav Mittal

    The Receiver File Adapter is configured, using the following settings:
    1) Choose File Content Conversion as the Message Protocol.
    2) You give the ‘addHeaderLine’ parameter as 1
    3) For the ‘fieldSeparator’ parameter you need to give field separator for both list and substructure (referring to the data type above). For eg: it may be a ‘,’ (comma) for substructure in a comma separated file.
    4) The ‘endSeparator’ parameter needs to given for substructure only. For eg: it may be a ‘nl’ (new line)
    5) Give the file name, the directory and the Construction mode. Activate all the settings. Receiver File Adapter with F.C.C. is configured.
    please visit the blog.

  • Multiple Header line in Receiver File adapter

    Hi,
    I have an issue in Receiver File adapter with multiple header lines. I am able to get only 1 header lines in the receiver file but not multiple header lines with 'nl' since it is static in file mode
    [CommunityTag:Header]
    empNo,EmpName,Age
    [CommunityTag]
    I tried with the below in content conversion one as below with no luck
    Root.addHeaderLine=1
    Root.headerLine=[CommunityTag:Header] 'nl' empNo,EmpName,Age 'nl' [CommunityTag]
    Root.fiedSeparator=,
    Root.endSeparator='nl'
    I am getting the Header line as same row as static text.
    Can you advise this.

    Hi Gabriel, I suggest to produce the header lines from additional nodes in the message payload. That means you need to modify the data type of the target message in order to generate an extra structure in the payload. Use constants in message mapping to generate the header column names, e.g.
    <Header>
      <H1>CommunityTag:Header</H1>
      <H2>empNo,EmpName,Age</H2>
      <H3>CommunityTag</H3>
    </Header>
    In content conversion you have to convert the Header row with
    Header.endSeparator='nl'
    You won't need parameter addHeaderLine anymore then.

  • Multiple Header Lines in Flat-File read by FileSenderAdapter

    Hello XI and File Sender Adapter Species
    We have the following file with fixed file lengths:

      FooterSegment: Field1
    Now my Questions:
    1.     As far as I know it is not possible to configure in the filesender adapter 2 different Record sets? We need two record sets, one for the header lines whose occurrences are once per File and one for the detail lines? Does anybody know if this is possible?
    2.     Any other ideas for a simple solution?
    Thanks for a soon answer.
    Regards Marlies

    Thanks all very much for your answers:
    The hint from Praveen was very helpful.
    If possible we need a solution with the graphical mapping tool and as far as possible without UDF, because at the moment there is no java developer.
    The file adapter now produces the following xml structure:
    <ZUECH_0150>
      <recordset>
        <H1>
         <KH1>#H1</KH1>
         <H1>150</H1>
        </H1>
        <H2>
         <KH2>#H2</KH2>
                       <H2>ECH150_20070709_026745152.dat</H2>
              </H2>
              <H3>
                   <KH3>#H3</KH3>
                   <H3>20070709_1600</H3>
              </H3>
              <H4>
                   <KH4>#H4</KH4>
                   <H4>9.0</H4>
              </H4>
              <H5>
                   <KH5>#H5</KH5>
                   <H5>8712423010208</H5>
              </H5>
              <H6>
                   <KH6>#H6</KH6>
                   <H6>8712423009202</H6>
              </H6>
              <MDDTD3>
                   <KMDDTD3>#MDDTD3</KMDDTD3>
                   <MDDTD3>146307732 146202845 </MDDTD3>
              </MDDTD3>
              <MDDTD4>
                   <KMDDTD4>#MDDTD4</KMDDTD4>
                   <MDDTD4>59664          E10</MDDTD4>
              </MDDTD4>
              <MDDTD4>
                   <KMDDTD4>#MDDTD4</KMDDTD4>
                   <MDDTD4>30180          E11</MDDTD4>
              </MDDTD4>
         </recordset>
    </ ZUECH_0150>
    I would prefer the following structure, because it fits exactly to the structure of the idoc.
    That means the mapping is very simple:
    <ZUECH_0150>
          <HEADER>
                  <H1>150</H1>
                  <H2> ECH150_20070709_026745152.dat</H1>
          </HEADER>
          <MDDTD3>
                 <KMDDTD3></KMDDTD3>
                 <MDDTD3>146307732 146202845</MDDTD3>
                    <MDDTD4>
                   <KMDDTD4>#MDDTD4</KMDDTD4>
                   <MDDTD4>59664          E10</MDDTD4>
              </MDDTD4>
              <MDDTD4>
                   <KMDDTD4>#MDDTD4</KMDDTD4>
                   <MDDTD4>30180          E11</MDDTD4>
              </MDDTD4>
          </MDDTD3>
    </ZUECH_0150>
    Now my new questions:
    1.     Is it possible to configure the file adapter to produce a xml structure which afterwards can be mapped with a simple graphical mapping into the idoc structure?
    (I can live with the suggestion from Praveen, that the header information is in each recordset but only has content in the first one.)
    2.     What about the MDDTD4? It is a substructure from MDDTD3. Is it possible to configure this in the file adapter?
    Thanks a lot for your help and a soon answer.

  • Dynamic Header Values in Flat File Destination

    Hi,
    I have to put 'T' or 'P' as part of a header in a flat file destination. The header is sourced via a work table which defines what the header looks like. One of the columns should contain 'T' for test or 'P' for production. When the package is executed in
    the test environment, 'T' should appear as part of the header. When the package is executed in the production environment, 'P' should appear as part of the header.
    Any ideas on how to achieve this is very much welcome.
    Thanks,

    Package parameter indicating the environment and a DerivedColumn transform that generates a column with T or P depending on the parameter value.

    The configuration that i did in Content Conversion:-
    Recordset :- HEADER,ROOT
    HEADER.addHeaderline : 1
    HEADER.headerline : "SSN";"UPI";"EFF_DATE";"STATUS";"STATUS_ACTION_CD";"PAY_CONTINUATION";"LASTNAME";"FIRSTNAME";"MI";"NAME_SFX";"LOC_CODE";"EMP_CAT";"
    ignoreRecordsetName : true

    ROOT.endSeparator : 'nl'
    <b>But the error in Communication channel monitoring is : -</b>

    So Plz help me out in this.....
    Thanks

    Hi Harpreet,
    You can pass the static header content in your message mapping ....to the target header field..
    and then use a normal FCC to print out the structure...

  • How can I add a header to a text file without mapping? [Using only ID]

    Hi Experts,
    I am doing a scenario in which I want to add a dynamic header to a text file, due to the complications related to the structure, I dont want to create a message type, data type etc so I cant use mapping.
    I want to do all the manipuations in Integration Directory itself.
    Can you all please help me out in this?
    Thanks in advance
    Thomas

    Hi  Experts,
    I am new to XI, so only elaborate answers would help me
    This is the specific requirement i want;
    There is a 'source text file' which is a collection of 1000+ records, I want to make a 'target file' which is a combination of 2 fields, one field will be the dynamically generated name [for the target file] and the other field will be the whole 'source file' content.
    From the last response for my question, I understand the dynamic file generation part can be done using java mapping.
    Is there anyway by which I can get in the whole content of the source file into a field in the target file?
    Thanks in Advance

  • Dynamic header in oo alv print_top_of_page based on current line

    I would expect this to be a common problem with the solution easily to google/find, but somehow...
    dynamic header generation during alv print_top_of_page:
    - i print an oo alv grid, sorted by kunnr
    - for each new kunnr a new page
    -> now I want during print-out to: at each top of page, read the first (or any) line of the current page, i.e. the current kunnr, and select data on basis of that kunnr to be written to the header.
    My problem is that sy-tabix is not being filled correctly (always 1).
    Strange thing is that in another report with a non-dynamic itab to display, sy-tabix is actuall being filled more or less correctly. (with the minor drawback that on the first page the tabix might not be 1 but more likely to be 2; but that's easy to fix and for the next pages sy-tabix is correct)
    Kind regards, A
    baanbrecher

    In the handle_print_top_of_page method, use :
    FIELD-SYMBOLS : <lv_line> TYPE ANY.
    ASSIGN ('(SAPLKKBL)G_INDEX') TO <lv_line>.
    if <lv_line> = 0. "First time, G_INDEX is equal to zero
       <lv_line> = 1.
    endif.
    So in <lv_line> you will always have the good index of your table.

  • Add header line to the text file in receiver file adapter

    Hello Experts,
    I have to add a new line to the text file generated at the receiver end.
    My structure is
    Record
       Item......0-unbounded
             field1
             field2
             field3
    I have defined below parameters in receiver FCC.
    RecordSet Structure : Record,Item
    Item.fieldSeparator : ;
    Record.fieldSeparator : nl
    Record.endSeparator : '0x0D''0x0A' ( this is to get a carriage return at the end of the file)
    Item.addHeaderLine : 1
    With the above configuration, i am getting the desired output with NO header line.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Swetha.

    Hi, it looks like that the headerline "specification is only permitted if exactly one structure is defined." Please check [SAP help under Define Parameters for Recordset Structures|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/44/686e687f2a6d12e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm].
    One solution would be to generate the header fields in the message payload. Generate an additional first line containing the header names, e.g.
    <Item>
    <field1>Header1
    <field2>Header2
    <field3>Header3

  • How to handle text files with Header lines

    Hi,
    Eventhough the number of header lines is specified, when I do Reverse to get columns, its considering only header line.
    I have file format like
    ffserver started.
    192.168.11.30 - - [Fri Apr 20 19:28:01 2007] "GET /robots.txt HTTP/1.1" 404 150

    first line is header line and there are spaces within a field value, and the field separator also is space.
    regards,
    Vivek

    in this scenario of urs ,ur file has multiple delimiters like -- and spaces.
    in this case u need to convert the file in a file with single delimiter .
    this can be done by writing a code in java in ODI procedures.
    once you have the same delimiter all over the file.
    u can extract multiple headers using typical Procedure
