Dynamic table editable?

Hi,
I've created a dynamic table with buttons for adding/removing/moving rows. When I create the PDF, its not possible to enter data. When I'm trying to configure the table/ cells (or any part of the table) to be editable, there is no option to enable editing (select table, Tab Object, Value, disable write protection).

ideas:
the cells exist, but fields have not been created? try dragging fields into the cells and try again..
the form is not saved/previewed as an interactive form? (File -> Form Properties -> Defaults -> Preview Type...

Create a edit link from a dynamic table data to the correct record

ok i have made a dynamic table with the correct information from the MySql database to populate it but i want to add an edit button to take me to the correct information i want to edit / delete. what is happening is no matter what record i want to edit it just takes me to the first record in the database?
the link i am using is detail.php?userid=<?php echo $row_Recordset1['userid']; ?>
where the detail.php is where the data can be edited

There are 2 things you need to troubleshoot.
First is the page where you have this link. In the browser are you being taken to the right page? Does the address bar show the proper id? If so, then the problem most likely does not exist on that page. Then if that is the case how are you pulling the data on the next page to get the right record? Can you show us the query being used? It is very hard to troubleshoot without seeing any code.

Dynamic table column editing

I made a VO with quite complex query (nested subqueries linked with inner join) and when I dragged it from Data Control to the page I didn't get the familiar context menu with implementation options I used to get it earlier.
Instead of, I got an implemented table with following structure:
- af:table - t3
- af:forEach
- af:column - #{...}
- af:outputText - #{...}
Did I get a dynamic table?
My problem is that I cannot get the list of attributes from VO query and then to edit table columns.
They are shown in table at runtime but with default properties. I can set up af:column options generally but I need to set up all of the attributes individually.
Is this a query-level problem or there is another way doing this?

Problem with editable combo box and creating dynamic table values using js

Hai
I have used jquery.jec.js to make my dropdown list as editable... I need to create dynamic table values on the onChange event of dropdown using javascript.
Now am facing the problem in it...
I am getting duplicate rows in the table... think(assumption) this jquery.jec.js is calling the dropdown again creating duplicate values...

The problem is with the function i have called on the onChange Event.. Now i have defined it inside the jquery function of dropdown to make it as editable...

Editable Dynamic Table Cells

Hi to all,
I am using studio creator and mysql.
I created a Dynamic table for Emp Names and Emp Skills, in that table for Emp Skills i put Text Feild.I am getting text feild in my table.
here is my doubt
I am trying to implement the functionality of editing table cells when clicked/doubleclicked on it. I am trying to make the cells editable(textboxes) only after clicking/double clicking them. It should display static text otherwise.
I am trying to do this one in Javascript onClick event.
Any sample code I can refer to.Any help is highly appreciated.

what you have send is useful for static table, in static table we can bind any row.
But in my Module i am using Dynamic table, in that dynamic table for all the rows i need TextFeild.
when we open the page it has to show static text for all the cells and when we are clicking particular cell that Text feild has to open.
I dont no how to get Induival id for each and every cell, then only we can bind in dynamic table.
Any suggestions are welcome.

How to create dynamic View Object and Dynamic Table

I want to create a dynamic view object and display the output in a dynamic table on the page.
I am using Jdeveloper 12c "Studio Edition Version 12.1.2.0.0"
This what I did:
1- I created a read only view object with this query "Select sysdate from dual"
2- I added this View object to the application module
3- I created a new method that change the query of this View object at runtime

How to change the display limits of a dynamic table?

Hi folks,
I'm using DW CS4 and PHP. I've got a php page with a dynamic table and repeating region that I built for my client. This table lists our entire active member list. Initially I built the dynamic table to show only 50 records at a time because 300+ records made an overly long page. Now my client wants all the records on a single page, because he doesn't like clicking through the recordset paging of First - Next - Previous - Last list to find who he is looking for. I tried changing the Repeating Region behavior to All Records (rather than 50) but it still displays only 50. I'm sure this is because initially when I set up the dynamic table, I limited it to 50 there. Is there an easy way to change the dynamic table from 50 to All Records, without rebuilding the entire page? I've looked in several places and can't find a way to edit this. Thanks for your help,

Issue in Dynamic table creation in userform

Hi all,
My userform displays a simpletable using an arraylist returned from the WF as data source. I have all the columns of this dynamic table displayed as labels.
Question:
Now I have added another new column to this table which I want to be editable (textfield) while the rest of the existing columns should be the same labels. How do I accomplish this task since the fieldloop for the table uses only a single arraylist?

That was pretty simple solution. I made a disable clause to the label control for the last column and instead displayed a textbox control.

Dynamic table in webdynpro interactive form not working. Urgent

Hi guys,
I am facing a problem when trying to retreive data entered in interactive form dynamic table.i can get the data entered in non dynamic fields no problem.
I have a node structure like this
Root
Data 1...1 singleton and non tried both
Table 1...n singleton and non tried both
In my adobe form i tried adding rows using add instance, and also using add button in webdynpro native. In the same method that adds row i simulated the submit button to create row in WD context! It adds rows but any data entered later is lost. One more thing i have noticed is it sometimes works after adding just one row! Data is passed to context but from next row it doesnt work! What am i missing?
I also tried adding a button in webdynpro tray and adding the row directly to the context. new row is created in form but any data entered in new rows is lost!
I am unable to obtain the data entered in Dynamic fields. I thought i would try the xml reading method but the problem is after crating a couple of rows dynamically if i go save pdf locally the new rows are not showing up in the pdf!
I have seen a post which said using the if_wd_iactive handler to set the form as dynamic but that method is not available in our system! Sorry i am not in front of an SAP system so i cant type exact names!
I tried using zci update program/ etc etc but i am still struggling at the moment. Any help would be much appreciated! Pls ask if you need more info.

problem solved! I had to recreate the form. not sure if i corrupted the webdynpro scripts etc by mistake.

Livecycle userform with dynamic table

Hi Everyone,
New to Livecycle Designer and was hoping this is possible - Can you have a PDF userform with a dynamic table below it?...
Basically the user fills out a userform then clicks an ADD button - this populates a dynamic table below the userform then clears/resets the userform - as the records fill the table an EDIT button appears in the last column so that if the user makes an error with a record they could click the EDIT button, this would bring the record back into the userform fields so they could change the field(s) they made the error in then a SAVE button would replace the ADD button in this instance, clicking SAVE then changes the record and clears/resets the userform ready for more entries.
At the bottom of the PDF there would be an EXPORT button which attaches the table as a csv or tab-delimited text file to an email message...
If someone could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated - I have googled and searched the forums for an answer but they mostly relate to importing data into a dynamic table from a database or xml file... I was hoping to directly populate the table with the userform.
I also have a PDF example which illustrates what I am trying to achieve... but seems you cannot attach to a post... I can email it if someone has a solution, but needs to see it visually.

You don't know the names of your columns? hmm you do, because before you created dynamic table you had to create field catalog, so the structure and column names of newly (dynamically) created table will be the same like defined in the field catalog.
The last loop also does not look good, in my opinion should be something like:
LOOP AT lt_datatable +(my first table)+ ASSIGNING <ls_data4>.
    AT NEW pernr.
      APPEND initial line to <fs_1> assigning <fs_2>.
      <fs_2>-pernr = <ls_data4>-pernr.
    ENDAT.
    ASSIGN COMPONENT <ls_data4>-wage_type OF STRUCTURE <fs_2> TO <fs_5>.

ENDLOOP.
also keep in mind that number of calls of method cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table is limited to 36 (?) calls within one program session because it uses dynamic subroutine pool behind so you will have short dump if you will execute that 37 times.

Dynamic table runtime error

Hi everyone.
We are working on upgrading from 4.6c to ECC 6.0 and I've run into a programming problem.
I have a class that I use to convert any internal table based on a dictionary structure to a comma-separated text file. For the most part, I use the dynamic table techniques that are easy to find here and in other code forums.
In 6.0 I can not get it to work. The value assignment of the input table to the field-symbol for the dynamic table causes a "OBJECTS_TABLES_NOT_COMPATIBLE" runtime error. So far what I can find on this error specific to dynamic tables is related to BW and/or PI. And I can't seem to find any alternative ways of dealing with dynamic tables. In debug I can see that decimal number fields in the dynamic table have a different length than what's in the dictionary.
Any help or ideas would be greately appreciated.

Hi, i have to extend a dynamic table like this:
FIELD-SYMBOLS: <g_data> TYPE table.
I have to build a custom structure with all the fields
of g_data plus some other fixed fields.

Null Pointer Exception on Dynamic vo when drag as dynamic table in popup

Hi All,
i am using jdev version 11.1.1.5.0. i have create one dynamic vo and drag as dynamic table. it is running fine but when i drag it in popupwindow and when i click on button on action listener
change query of dynamic vo then following error occur.

one important thing is that when i drag dynamic vo in jspx page running fine. but when i used it on fragment page(jsff) then Null poiner exception occur.

Dynamic Table in PDF - only first row passed to the WD Java

Hi Experts,
I'm working with Web Dynpro for Java on WAS 2004s SP13, ADS for SP13 and LiveCycle Designer 7.1
I am facing a problem related to PDF-dynamic table generation.
I am creating the PDF form with a dynamic table, an empty row will be added, when ADD button is clicked, the row will be deleted when DELETE button is clicked. After form submit, only first row of the table is passed to the Web Dynpro. I'v tried to use different dataSource Context node structure without results. The structure diescribed in the thread [Dynamic Table - same data repeating in all rows; doesnt works for me. The same happend if i try to folow the advise from Wiki https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/WDJava/Creating%20Table%20in%20Interacting%20form%20using%20Web%20Dynpro.
Beside this, my DropDown list in the table column is not populated. I know how to populate the DropDown list outside of table. That's working fine. But the DropDown in the table just not respond on the click (is not going open). I'm pretty sure that this is a result of a Context node structure/binding issue.
Please suggest me how can i implement dynamic table and populate the data in table dropdown column.

You describe exactly my situation. The node which is bound to the table row has cardinality 1..n. Exactly Context structure is:
node dataSource (cardinality 1..1/ Singleton true) ======> dataSource of the Interactive Form
subnode TableList (cardinality 1..1/ Singleton true) ======> bound to the table in the Interactive Form
subnode TableWrapper (cardinality 1..n/ Singleton true) ======> bound to the table row in the Interactive Form
subnode TableData (cardinality 0..1/ Singleton false) ======> table data
attribute 1 ====> Context nodeattribute bound to the table row field
attribute 2
This structure is recommanded in the post that I found on the Forum (see the firs hyperlink in my firs post).
Is this structure correct? Why is not working?
