Dynamic values for JSF selectOneMenu using javascrpt. JSF validation error.

Hi,
Im using Myfaces 1.2 (tomahawk) . I have a very bulky page having lot of drop down menus. It has a datatable containing four drop downs in a row and the datatable has close to 40 rows (with pagination) . Each of the drop downs have close to 100 items . This makes the page size very huge and not suitable for an internet application.
Im thinking of a way to have the drop downs populated using javascript in body onload event so that the page size reduces drastically. I have defined a selectOneMenu without selectItems. So before page load there will be no items in the drop down. The body onLoad method populates the drop downs and the page gets rendered as expected. All the javascript events related to these drop downs works fine. When page is submitted i want the selected value in the bean variable.
But when the page gets submitted im getting the error
Validation Error: Value is not valid
Can someone let me know the reason behind this and a way to solve this problem . Its really URGENT...

because I have other restriction, so I create two restricted key figure..
RK1 with restriction : Total Number of Note,
RK2 with restriction : Total Opening Days ,
then I Created a calculated key figure, average opening days in a period
CK1 = RK2 / RK1..
in this case, I am not sure if it will work or not..
for example, during RK2 calclation, it might be this   2+3 = 5, the line with 0 will be ignored..
during RK1 calcualtion, it might be 1 + 1 + 1 = 3. ---> Not sure in this case, the line with opening days 0 will be calculated or not..

I am able to set value for textbox control using Query String Filer web part.
But, since the dropdown values are not populated on form load, the value is not set for dropdown control.
How to load the values in dropdown control on form load and set a value using Query String filter webpart?

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to filter choice field using Query String Filter web part.
To filter using query string filter web part, we can set the default value for the choice field in the query string filter web part panel as below, then connect to the list.
Now it would be filter by the value you have set.

From the error message, we can infer the issue is caused by the input column “INV_DT” cannot convert to the output column in OLE DB Destination.
Based on my research, the exactly cause is the data type of input column “INV_DT” can convert to the data type of corresponding output column, but the data in the input column “INV_DT” cannot convert to the data type of corresponding output column. We can
verify the issue in the Advanced Editor dialog box of OLE DB Destination.
To avoid this issue, please make sure the input column can convert to the output column in OLE DB Destination, including the all the values in the input column. For more details, please refer to Visakh's suggestions.

Function module expression for dynamic value for Cost center in BRF

Hello Experts,
We are in SRM 7.0 and our business object is shopping cart using BRF.
Right now we have Cost Center Approver and its evaluation id ()zev_sc_**_*) has expression zc_sc_*_** that checks whether overallvalue >= 5000. It initiates cost center approver only if value is greater than or equal to 5000. But this is static expression. We want it in a dynamic way so that we don't have to modify this value frequently. Therefore we have set approach to use an expression of Function Module BAdI as expression. We have a new z table which contains value field zval. Now I want to know how or what should be the process so that this FM knows the corresponding value from a z table that user might select in the SC.How it should be linked to this. I am using /SAPSRM/WF_BRF_0EXP000 function module. Please advise where should the code be written ? Any method ? And what should be the exporting and importing parameters for this ?
Right now I can see EV_VALUE, EV_TYPE, EV_CURRENCY etc as exporting paramters. Looking for your suggestions experts.

just follow the steps.
i) I believe you have created the event as Zev_*** with implememt Class     0EVENT.
ii) copy the std fm /SAPSRM/WF_BRF_0EXP000 to z custom fm
iii) since you want to have an expression as function module procurement type create expression with
expression type 0CF001
                                                                                result type B ( boolean)
                                                                                Buffering as event-controlled buffering
and very important procurement type as function module.
iv) immediatly you may find written as AccessFM where pass your custom z function module.
v) finally link this expression to your event.
In the custom function module the exporting parameter EV_VALUE is solely responsible for identifieng the approval based upon the approval criteria. If the field EV_VALUE = 'X' this notify that the approval is required for current process level, otherwise if it is initial then it will skip the current level and continue with the next level.

After that loop the internal table LT__ITEM   and you decide based upon your approval criteria for each line item level wheather the gross price of line item is exceed 5000k or not.
you should decide the value for field EV_VALUE within the loop so that each line item will be verified for approval.

Issue in creating limits value for service PR using BAPI_REQUISITION_CREATE

I am creating a service PR using bapi bapi_requisition_create.I am able to create service PR successfully, but I am not able to set value for overall limit and the Expected value.
I am passing the limits values through bapi, but when I am trying to display those value in the limits tab in ME53N, it gives dump.
Please suggest how can I set the limits value.

How to have a common value for a column using sql loader

Hi Have a sql loader file which looks like below. But I am not getting how insert the same value for the column in all rows.

I have been knocking my head against a wall trying to figure out how to pass multiple values to 1 parameter and how to add it to the parameter collection. I have code so if I pass single values for each parameter it works fine. I am passing the parmeters and values in a pipe delimited string through a url where it gets parsed and pass in here.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why don't you try:
1. Bpel references
You can select a BPEL reference property in your composite.xml and use it within your bpel process. This is explained here:

Then you can create a deployment configuration plan. Right-click on the composite file and generate a deployment configuration plan for your composite. This should create a search/replace construction for your preference.
2. DVM (Data Value Maps)
You can populate the address by using dvm lookup function. Create a DVM file with two columns, one to specify the Address/URL and populate the other column with the actual value. Use the address as your unique lookup criteria to retrieve the value. This value can be configured per environment.

Dynamic values for column header / "AS" using XMLFOREST

I was wondering if it was possible to show data from a select statement into an AS column, e.g. SELECT col.a AS col.b.
The reason I need this is for XMLFOREST, as I need the value of a SELECT statement to be the column name, so that it will be the value of the element. e.g. <col.b></col.b>
Anyone know if/how I can do this?

Dynamic Values for text

I apologize in advance. Not much of a web designer or code guy here, but I just need to create a simple animation to be dropped into a MUSE creation and I think Edge Animate is the right way to do it. For the life of me I cannot figure out how.
Basically, I want to create a simple animation to explain the dimensions of a product. A line with arrows on both ends would grow to the length of a line drawing symbolizing its height for example.
Accompanying that would be a text box that I would like to simply count up from 0.0" to 3.5" for instance.
The question is how do I dynamically update the text from 0.0 to 3.5 across a 2 second animation in Edge Animate?
Is this even available or is this why people are still using Flash.

No naive at all : a very interesting exercise.
We use three elements
• a rectangular shape ;
• a diamond cursor that moves along the shape (2 s tweening) ;
• a text value element.
1) The first solution leverages the update event that is fired by the timeline.
First define constants that you can modify to your needs.
Stage > creationComplete event handler :
endValue = 35;
duration = 2000; // 2000 ms
Timeline.update event handler (accessed via the top left bullet+curly braces icon : circled on the screen capture) :

sym.$('value').text(newValue);
sym.getPosition() gives the current position of the playhead in ms. We divide it by the total duration of the animation and multiply by the end value to display. Math.floor rounds to an integer value.
2) The second solution leverages the JavaScript setInterval function, which calls a function at regular interval. For that, we define a new variable frequency : you can tweak its value until you get the correct frequency for the update.

Invalid values for negative counts using DAQmxReadCounterF64 for edge counting

I am seeing this issue with using DAQmxReadCounterF64 with
simple edge counting. If the counter reads a negative count value, it
returns a number that looks like an unsigned 32-bit number rolled over
(~4294967295).
I am using DAQmx v8.9.5. PXI-6602 with Windows XP, programming in C++.
Is this a bug in the driver?

Hi Mroche,
You're correct that the number you are seeing is the rollover of an unsigned 32-bit integer. Newer DAQ products use a 32-bit count register (e.g. M Series, TIO, X Series). In this register, the value -1 is represented the same as 232-1.
I wouldn't call this a bug exactly. The value you are reading is what is in the count register, and I don't think it makes sense to necessarily assume that 4294967295 should be scaled to -1 for all cases. Making this assumption would result in undesired behavior for anybody trying to count to 231 or higher (at which point the count would roll over to -231).
Having said that... position measurements are treated differently starting in DAQmx 9.0 due to the behavior reported on another thread which was in fact deemed a bug (which I notice you have seen already). The driver casts the raw count to I32 before scaling it to a position.
Now, I'm not so sure it makes sense to treat the two measurement types differently, but I think the reasoning behind the decision was that negative values make sense when talking about position, but for counting edges not quite as much (what exactly is a negative number of edges?). In the count edges case, I think it makes the most sense for DAQmx to allow the user to handle rollovers himself. At the end of the day, all the driver can do is change where the rollover occurs (either at 0 = 232 or 231 = -231).
In your case, if you want to read (-) values on your count edges task, the easiest way to accomplish this is to read the data back as U32 (DAQmxReadCounterU32) then type cast it to I32. This will give the result that I think you are looking for.
If you have any suggestions to help improve usability, please feel free to post to the DAQ Idea Exchange. Some preliminary ideas to make this experience a little more intuitive might include a property node to set how the data is cast, or perhaps have the driver cast the data to I32 if the Count Direction is set to anything other than Count Up. Although, the 2nd idea has the potential to break existing applications so it might not be as viable of an option.

Set different default values for table built using subforms

I'm using Designer 7.1 and need to have tables with a fixed number of rows, where the first column is readonly and displays a set of distinct values. For example
Body System Normal Abnormal Comments
Head
Neck
Respiratory
etc.
I'm constrained to building the table using subforms. I'd love to do it using the new table feature but this will not interface with our software.
I'm trying to put Javascript code in the Initialize section of the body subform that puts a different value in each row. I'm not finding a way to distinguish one row from the other. If I simply say
this.body_system.rawValue = 'Head'
Then all of the rows will have 'Head' in the first column.
I've tried the following but it doesn't work:
this.body_system.rawValue[0] = 'Head'
this.body_system.rawValue[1] = 'Neck'

I have a Z* report in our company, in the selection screen there is a period field (Month and Year) and this report running in background job periodically. My Question is how i can set for Month field become dynamic follow month value of date when this report executed ?
Example :
When Z* report running in background on 16.04.2008, Month Value will be 04 and when running on 16.05.2008, Month Value will be 05.
Please advice.

If you want to use this query in the WHERE clause, then use it with EXISTS option which allows to return more than 1 column.
