Dynamically component position

hello all,
In a screen is a component(dropdown list) which must be positioned always at the center of the screen. How to set its position accorded to the screen size?
thank you a lot
Bogdan

i am not sure but you can drag and drop any column in screen. also you have column number feature in attribute

  • Why do I get Illegal Component position when I say FlowLayout.CENTER

    The code runs fine if you replace the line
    Jp7.add(submitButton, FlowLayout.CENTER);
    with
    Jp7.add(submitButton);
    I know FlowLayout's default location is CENTER. But when I explicitly say to center the button, it crashes during runtime but compiles fine.
    Whats the reason for this? Is this a bug?
    I am using 1.4.0_03.
    I getthe following error.

  • Dynamic component in WHERE-condition for LOOP AT ?

    i want to make

    how i can make it...
    Edited by: Thomas Zloch on Mar 2, 2010 2:47 PM

    I thought it's funny.
    And the problem can maybe be solved by using a completely dynamic where-condition, not just a dynamic component.

  • Illegal component position when add JLabel to JtextPane

    Hi all,
    I want to add a JLabel to a JTextPane, the label shoud be put in the lines of text just like the normal text. I have some questions:
    1. How can I put the label in the position we want, when I use the method add(label, textPane.getStyledDocument().getLength()), it generates exception :"illegal component position"
    2. How can I set the width and the height of the label so that user cannot know that I used the label. I mean the text on label and the normal text on JTextPane must look the same. Of course I know the length of the caption of the label
    Thank you very much

    How can I put the label in the position we want, I'm not sure you can add a component using that method. I think there is an insertComponent(...) method to use. Also you may need to make the text pane uneditable first if I remember correctly. Something like:
    textPane.setEditable(false);
    textPane.insertComponent(...);
    textPane.setEditable(true);
    How can I put the label in the position we want, label.setFont(textPane.getFont());

  • Swap component positions dynamically

    Hello,
    I want to be able to dynamically swap the postions of any two components within a single container.
    For example, if I have a JPanel that has a BorderLayout, I want to be able to to swap the NORTH and WEST components with each other.
    I find that it is easy to remove them from their current positions.
    However, my problem is how to add them back with the proper layout constraints. I don't see any Container methods that will allow me to get the layout contraints of an existing component so that I can then transfer it when adding another component dynamically.
    After the swap, the components should resize properly when the container is resized, as if each had initially been added to the container with the given layout manager with the other's constraints.
    I would like this to be a general solution that will work for any Container and any LayoutManager.
    Thank you,
    Ted Hill

    For you problem, it will be nice, if each Layout Manager has a method call swapComponent ...
    I do not think there are esay solution for this problem.
    Because most of layout manager, keep those information private!
    Here are some of my ideas :
    (1) Keep the information by youself in your code.
    Well, you can use a hashTable, keep those constraint layout infomation by youself.
    Before or After add the component, save the constraint info.
    And when you need to swap, just use it.
    (2) You still need to keep those information ( may-be by using hashTable ),
    but this time, implement to more generic way.
    ==> subclass all layout managers you are interresting.
    Overriden the addLayoutComponent and removeLayoutComponent,
    make sure you capture the constraint information and save some where.
    Also add new method swapComponent();
    And by subclass, you may access protected method or field (that may related to constraint info... )
    In this way, you just implement once, and you can re-use forever.
    Hope this helps you.

    Where are you stuck? find the component (UIComponent.findComponent) in the JSF component tree by its ID and get the value from it. This article might help:

  • Problem creating dynamic component children with RestoreState of JSF 1.2

    Hello everybody,
    With JSF 1.1, it was possible to create children of a component dynamically in the constructor of a component.
    But now, with JSF 1.2, there is an issue with the RestoreState as a new instance of each component of the tree is created.
    Does someone has an idea on how to solve this issue?
    One possibility is to create the children not in the component, but in the renderer of the component.
    But I'm not really convinced of this solution...
    Thank you in advance.
    bgOnline

    You can create a new component dynamically in the method setParent() according to the following code snippet:
    public void setParent(UIComponent parent) {
    if (parent != null) {
    List<UIComponent> children = parent.getChildren();
    Application application = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getApplication();
         componentLabel = (HtmlOutputLabel) application
         .createComponent(HtmlOutputLabel.COMPONENT_TYPE);
         componentLabel.setTransient(true);
         children.add(componentLabel);
         } else if (parent == null) {
         if (componentLabel != null) {
         List<UIComponent> children = getParent().getChildren();
              children.remove(componentLabel);
              super.setParent(parent);
         }

    Anynone have any suggestions for such a style sheet?

  • SAPscript - Dynamic box position and height.

    Greetings...
    How to print dynamic box according to the Element. I have an element with looping condition when i used box the line only printed on the first loop, but and no line printed on the next looping even though its is  different element.. Below is the sneak peak of my code.
    /E 101
    /:   BOX WIDTH 0 MM HEIGHT '2' MM FRAME 20 TW
    /:   POSITION YORIGIN '+2' MM
    W2   <B>&text&</><B>,,&zvalue&</>
    Thank you

    Hi
    it is very hard to print a dynamic box with sapscript.
    It is more easy to develop a new-smartform then to develop a dynamic box.
    i know only 1 sapscript which is using dynamic boxes. I do not know the sapscript only the fucntional name we use. That is shopfloor papers (for a production order). It has a good combination of printprogram and sapscript which both has to be working together to get it done. Try to find it and study it. Then you will find out how it works.
      There is no way to get it done with only changes in your sapscript.
    an alternative is to use tab's and '|' and ulines to make something that look a bit like boxes.
    Hope this will help you out.

  • SAPScript dynamic window position by command

    Hello Abapers,
    I am trying to move up/down a window that contains a graphic by commands because the position needs to be dynamically adjusted.
    I tried these commands -
    /:POSITION XORIGIN '5' CM YORIGIN '5'CM
    But it doesnt work..  Can anyone help? Appreciate it,
    Vince

    Hi
    This is syntax for positon:
    Position <xorigin> <yorigin> <window> <page>
    example:   /: POSITION 5 5 MAIN FIRST
    Please note: in the above example <window> = MAIN and <page> = FIRST

  • MyFaces'  JspTilesViewHandlerImpl   &   dynamic component rendering

    Hi,
    First -- if you're on the myfaces user list, this is a repeat post. Skip!
    Second, I don't mean to offend the RI dev guys with this myfaces post!
    Has anyone dynamically rendered JSF components while using myfaces JspTilesViewHandlerImpl view handler?
    I have a WebGalileoFaces tabbed panel component. Its listener attaches sub-tabs to it dynamically. The rendering works without using the view handler above. Yet, when I use the myfaces handler, I get an NPE. My listener impl is below.
    The view handler appears to cut off access to the actual UIViewRoot so the form cannot be found. Ive tried a couple calls directly to the handler using context.getApplication().getViewHandler() yet, none of the methods gave me access to it (well, that I could figure out).
    Ideas anyone?
    Thanks
    Lorinda

            UIComponent tabbedPanel = event.getComponent();
            String tabName = tabbedPanel.getId();
            String formId = tabbedPanel.getParent().getId();

    Yes, i have created a complete portal page using a custom portal tab and JspTilesViewHandlerImpl with all components dynamically rendered and inserted by tiles: dynamic partal tabs, i18n implementation for mesages and SelectItems, dynamically change company layout with its own look-and-feel if a requested information belongs to a company (division, department, branch office, etc). There is some abnormality and how i go around to get the solution up and running. I will post the details in myfaces dev list in the next couple days.
    In essence, the navigation page dispatched by JspTilesViewHandlerImpl works properly with all Jsf UI components. However, within this tile definition and its own layout, any fragment inserted by tiles such as portlets in the left/right columns and the display fragment does not have jsf <h:commandButton> and <h:commandLink> correctly picked up the action while <h:outputLink> properly linked to the intended page.
    I temporarily solve the issue to get the portal up and running. However, this is only a temporary solution since it will severly limit a complete integration of Jsf+Tiles. A complete solution needs to be addressed, which i thing myfaces developers can quickly patch it.
