E-Business suite import issue

We are running 11.5.10.2 on OEL 4, with a 9.2.0.6 database.
During a recent recovery operation, we had to forcefully start the database (using allowresetlogs_corruption parameter).
Following this , we are now recreating the database as recommended. For this we are using 9i Export/Import Process for Oracle Applications Release 11i [ID 230627.1] procedure.
Having followed the steps upto the import (except for recreation of new home - we are using same oracle home), import is not completing successfully. The process continues endlessly, until cancelled, with numerous warnings. Some of the errors include:
IMP-00061: Warning: Object type "APPS"."ICXUI_API_BUTTON_LIST" already exists with a different identifier or
IMP-00003: ORACLE error 2264 encountered
ORA-02264: name already used by an existing constraint
Has anyone had this issue? Or if anyone has any pointers to help, would appreciate it.
Thanks

Hi Hussein,
I tried re-importing into a newly created database.
The log shows rows being imported into the various schema's.
However, I am also seeing the following errors for various objects:
IMP-00015: following statement failed because the object already exists:
"CREATE PUBLIC SYNONYM "GENINCLUDEDDEPENDENCYBLOCKSTRU" FOR "SYS"."GENINCLUD"
"EDDEPENDENCYBLOCKSTRU""
IMP-00019: row rejected due to ORACLE error 1
IMP-00003: ORACLE error 1 encountered
ORA-00001: unique constraint (SYSTEM.REPCAT$_OBJECT_TYPE_PK) violated
and also:
IMP-00041: Warning: object created with compilation warnings
"CREATE FORCE VIEW "APPS"."QP_PREQ_LDETS_TMP".
Also, the import continues for a very long time - more than 14 hours, while the export took about 3.5 hrs.
Not sure what could be wrong- any pointers?
Thanks

  • OEM 12c E-Business Suite Plugin Issue

    Hello All,
I am currently new to OEM 12c, and I have the latest version installed and running, Version     12.1.0.2.0. So far everything has been running great, and agents have been downloaded and deployed with little to no issues. However, I am now trying to deploy the E-Business Suite Plug-in to the Management Server first, and I receive an error:

I can't seem to find any helpful info on the errors concerning EM-04001 and EM-04026. I did see that there was a bug fix which was required, bug number 13242773. But reading the ReadMe says this is only for OEM version 12.1.0.1.0.
So, my question is, has anyone run into this problem, or have any suggestions on how to get this plug-in deployed successfully?
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello,
I haven’t run into the same errors you have reported but, let me share with you our recommended way of installing E-Business Suite Plug-in. Start by referencing our “Getting Start” MOS note 1434392.1it contains all the required patches, certification details, and related documentation. Once you are ready to perform the install start out by reviewing Chapter 2 - Installing the Oracle Application Management Pack for Oracle E-Business Suite of our Oracle Application Management Pack for Oracle E-Business Suite Guide Release 12.1.0.1.0. Here is a direct link -http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e28715.pdf
If after following the above steps you are still encountering errors then open a Service Request with Oracle Support.
    Regards,
    Product Management

Again, this is something with the proxy settings :)
Did you disable proxy or add the application URL to the servers list exceptions?
Did you clear your Jcache folder?

Perl lib version (v5.6.1) doesn't match executable version (v5.10.0) at D:\oracl
    e\PROD\apps\tech_st\10.1.2\perl\5.6.1\lib\MSWin32-x86/Config.pm line 21.
Compilation failed in require at adpreclone.pl line 35.
    BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at adpreclone.pl line 35.
as the issue say's i got 2 version's of perl, But the thing is when i check in path i can only find Perl lib version (v5.6.1).. where the hell this version (v5.10.0) came from...? i even set PERL5LIB Path to version (v5.6.1).. still no use when i run perl adpreclone.pl same error shows...
I think you people can understand what my problem is, if you guys need something else please let me know
    With Regards,
    Babu

    Hi,
Can you set the perl for v5.10.0 as:
    set PERL5LIB=<ORACLE_HOME>\perl\lib\5.10.0;<ORACLE_HOME>\perl\site_perl\5.10.0;<ORACLE_HOME>\appsutil\perl
Please ensure to correctly define this to you perl v5.10.0 version
    Hope this help!

  • Business Rules Import Issue

Hi, I met some problems in business rules import.
    1. The buisness rules import cannot be overwritten, everytime when I deployed a rule to a new environment, I need to delete the old one first. Can I do some setting to enable overwriting?
    2. When the rule contains a character ">", the export xml will add a special character like "space" after it. Sometimes caused the rules failed after the deployment. Seems it is a bug.
    3. When the rule has the property "hide" for some run-time prompts, sometimes it will lose after the import, is it also a bug or any workaround?
If any good suggestion or experience for the above problems? Thanks

    Hi,
It would be helpful to others if you say which version/patch you are using.
To answer number 1, that has always been a feature of business, you don't get the option to overwrite, its always been a pain.
I have not come across issue 2 and I am sure I have imported many rules with the cross dimensional operator in them ->
    Cheers

  • Business Area import issue

In Test I had to delete a couple folders from a Business Area(BA). But after migration a new copy of BA into Production those folders still appear. Here is my migration plan:
    1. Export the BA from Test
    2. Import the BA into Production using the following criteria:
    - Refresh the object and then check the sub-box called Preserve display related properties
    - two objects be matched by Identifier
    3. Refresh the BA
Also I`d like to mention that this BA was in Production before Migration
    Thank you in Advance.

    Hi
It sounds as though you may have deleted the folders from the business area but not from the EUL. If this is the case, and the folders still exist inside Production, then when you import from Test into Production, the folders will be there attached to the business area.
If you really don't want the folders you should completely delete them from the Test EUL, or are you saying that you did this? If you're absolutely certain that you deleted them from Test, then exported the Test business area and imported it into Production, matching by identifier, then it sounds like there is an issue. You may need to manually delete folders in both areas.
You see, if a folder exists in production and not in the import from Test, how does Discoverer know that you did not intentionally not export that folder? I don't think it can detect that something is no longer there. Its a bit like saying give me the ID numbers of all the rows in the database that got deleted today so that I can go and delete them from the data warehouse. You cannot because they don't exist. I think your best plan would be to delete them from both areas, either that or delete the business area from production and reimport it from Test.
Does this help and what do the other Discoverer experts think about what I have said?
    Regards
    Michael

  • Issue importing Japanese language in E business Suite 12i

    Hi All,
I have installed Oracle E Business Suite 12i with Vision Database on Windows 2003 Server 32 bit server. Everything is working fine.
Now, I am trying to add Japanese language to this system. So, I changed the base language from American English to Japanese using License Manager under Oracle Application Manager. Then I ran adadmin tool and maintain the multi language tables. Then I have enabled the maintenance mode using adadmin tool.
Then I ran adpatch utlity to import the Japanese language patch i.e. u4440000.drv. It ran for 2 hours then gave me an error.

  • Login issue to E-business suite from desktop

    Hi All,
I have installed oracle ebs 11.5.10.2 on a linux x86 machine and started the application. I tested the application by entering the url http://apps.test.com:8005
and I am able to login using my user id and password.
While the above is working good, I went to my laptop and tried the same url, but the browser doesn't open the login page. How can I fix this issue?
my desktop domain is cfl.rr.com. Does this cause any issue?
    Thanks and Regards,

my desktop domain is cfl.rr.com. Does this cause any issue? You try to login from windows client right? If answer yes what is your windows OS?(xp-vista etc) I assume you are using Xp then, you have to follow those steps:
    1. Add your http://apps.test.com:8005 to your trusted site
    2. Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc and edit your hosts file , add your site information there like:
    10.x.x.x apps.test.com
    3. Be sure you use certifed browser, please check:
Recommended Browsers for Oracle E-Business Suite 11i Doc ID: 285218.1
    4. If possible close windows firewall
    And retest issue
    Hope it helps

  • What are your top 10 issues to upgrade E-Business Suite

    Hi everyone,
My name is Max Arderius, Product Manager for Life Cycle Management products in Oracle. We are doing a big effort to help customers to simplify their E-Business Suite upgrade. We are trying to collect all the information we can to identify the top issues that customers are facing before, during or after E-Business Suite upgrades. We are really committed to address all possible issues and so we can prevent usual problems, showstoppers, inconveniences, lack of documentation and other technical difficulties.
What would you say are your top 10 issues that faced to upgrade to R12? Or what would you like Oracle to address in the near future to make your life easier?
I am looking forward for your postings! Thanks!
    Max

Hi Max ! Hope you are well :-)
One thing that I assume most folks would find useful is a pre-upgrade script that can do some basic checks to identify any potential issues that need to be addressed before the upgrade starts.
A simple example is documented in MOS Doc 802515.1 (R12 Upgrade: Workers Fail In Apstca01.Sql) - the profile option in our system was set to NULL (the default) and the apstca01.sql failed in the middle of the first test upgrade - not a big issue, but would have been nice to have this corrected before the upgrade.
I am sure that are hundreds of such "gotchas" from all the various modules :-)
This script is almost analogous to the database pre-upgrade script/tool (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e17222/upgrade.htm#UPGRD12395) that performs some checks and makes recommendations.
    Thanks

    Hello
1/ ATS 9.3 is supported with IE8, not IE9 at the moment
2/ Did you disable xss settings for the four different security zones?
You can also try to add the EBS url to the trusted sites and disable xss settings for that zone only.
Let us know and good luck

  • E-business suites: ISSUE WITH RECORDING SCRIPTS IN R12.1 USING LOADRUNNER 9

My Customer use Mercury LoadRunner to execute our performance stress tests. The standard feature of
creating a transaction clickstream for the LoadRunner tool, requires that the tool know the object
(field, button, LOV, text). The way all performance tools identify an object is by RIGHT CLICKING
on the screen and selecting VIEW SOURCE.
Unfortunately, VIEW SOURCE is displaying the R12 Oracle object names with garbage appended at the
    end of the string.
    Examples of expected values:
    value="DefaultFormName"
    type="hidden" value="Cost_Allocation_KFF"
But what they get in View Source is as follows:
    value="DefaultFormName Eb65TJbm "
    type="hidden" value="Cost_Allocation_KFF 3WPwQoB7V "
    BUSINESS IMPACT
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot complete a stress test
And without a stresstest, They cannot go-live with R12
    =================================
This is generic isssue across all applications including sshr,
They are getting Dynamically Generated Characters in the field names while viewing the source
    code of the JSP.
    > For example, following comes while doing 'View -> Source' in IE:
    >
    > <input id="_FORM" type="hidden" value="DefaultFormNameuf3GKIsO" name="_FORM">
    >
    > There are extra characters 'uf3GKIsO' in 'DefaultFormName' .
I will appreciate if any one has come acrosss this kind of issue, please let us know how it can be resolved.
Any help / tips are appreciated.
    Regards
    Ravi

I found the same issue but resolved it by myself. The user table of the MySQL changed, my guess. You need to add another 'Y' or 'N' to the end of this statement in the build.xml of DataAppLoader:
    INSERT INTO user VALUES ('localhost','dataapp','*B974A83D18BB105D0C9186756F485406E6E6039B','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','','','','',0,0,0,0,'',NULL,'N');
The original one is like this:
    INSERT INTO user VALUES ('localhost','dataapp','*B974A83D18BB105D0C9186756F485406E6E6039B','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','','','','',0,0,0,0,'',NULL);
The new column added is password_expired. Y or N to indicate the password is good or not.

and certifies desktop machines to run the client side applications So >>
3- If I do not need the Oracle support over my EBS , then is that means that I am free to successfully install and run the EBS on my desired system? or what is the importance of Oracle systems certification any way ? 4- I need a step by step installation guide for the version you recommend ?. -- >(The MOST important Point)

Certification means running your application/database on a combination of OS/Hardware so whenever you have an issue, Oracle support will be able to help in troubleshooting -- You need to run your application on a certified OS.

  • Oracle E-business Suite release 12.1.1 migration from AIX to OEL on OVM

    Hi
We will be migrating our current Oracle E-business suite release 12.1.1 production environment from AIX to OEL using OVM. We are experienced in migrating from one platform to another on single box but this is the first time we will be using OVM.
We will be gratefull if somebody can provide us the right path to migrate to OVM, my understanding is:
    1. Setup Hypervisor, install OVM guests OS using OVM templates
    2. Install E-business suite environment using OVM templates
    3. follow Export / import document to migrate E-business suite environment
    need suggestions
    Thank You
    Shahrukh yasin

No. Do not use the EBS templates.
    1. Get OVM up and running.
    2. Install OEL guests.
    3. Check requirements for running OEL on EBS 12.1. They are different for different version of OEL. There are several oracle support articles detailing the requirement from OEL4 thru OEL6. I personally would use OEL5.
    4. Clone your DB and app tops and get them working.
    5. When you get ready to cut, refresh your DB. You can use datapump but it will take some time depending on how much data you have. You may want to upgrade your DB. If you're running anything less than 11.2.0.3. If you do, then datapump is the best option. At least in my opinion. There are several issues with running 12.1 and 11.2.0.3. Make sure you address them. There are several support articles detailing them. Oracle 10 database isn't supported on OVM. 10 isn't offically supported at all anymore.
    6. Rerun you clone scripts on your app tiers and reconfigure your app layout.

  • API for creating new User in Oracle E-Business Suite through BPEL

    Hello,
I would like to use a BPEL process to create a new User in Oracle E-Business Suite. In the Integration Repository I was able to find an API called FND_USER_PKG/LOAD_ROW that creates/updates Application's User data. Is this the API I should be using? If so, I would like to better understand how to use this API.
I have created a simple BPEL process and added an Oracle Application Service, which uses this FND_USER_PKG/LOAD_ROW API. I set the following parameter before Invoking the Oracle Application Service: X_USER_NAME, X_ENCRYPTED_USER_PASSWORD and X_START_DATE. When I run the BPEL process I get the following error. I suspect that I am not passing all the required input parameters. Does anyone have any sample data I can use to get this API to load correctly? If I am using the wrong API, please let me know.
Please note, I have also posted this question to the SOA Suite and BPEL discussion forums...
    Thank you kindly!

Hello and thank you for your response. I am new to using APIs so please excuse my inexperience... I am not sure how to run the API outside of BPEL... Is that something you could easily walk me through?
I have made the following changes in BPEL based on your recommendation: 1) Added Oracle Application Service and used the API, LDAP_WRAPPER_CREATE_USER, found in the Oracle Application Module Browser* under: Applications Technology (ATG_PF)&gt; User Management (UMX)&gt; User (FND_USER)&gt; PLSQL&gt; User (FND_USER_PKG)&gt; LDAP_WRAPPER_CREATE_USER
    2) Set the following parameter prior to Invoking the Oracle App Service: X_USER_NAME, X_UNENCRYPTED_PASSWORD,X_START_DATE, X_END_DATE, X_DESCRIPTION, X_EMAIL_ADDRESS, X_FAX, X_EXPIRE_PWD.
    3) Deploy and run BPEL through BPEL Control.
I get the following {color:#ff0000}error on the Invoke{color}. {color:#339966}Do you see any issues with the values I am passing in the input{color}? Any idea why I am getting this error? Is there anything that I need to have configured for the API to work correctly, other than adding an Oracle Application Service in the BPEL?
    Thank you for your time,
