E-newsletter attaching as an attachment?

Hi,
My e-newsletters are converting to a .htm attachment rather
than auto-opening within the confines of my work email. I'm using
an external service provider to execute. When I tested to my
personal email, it auto-opened just fine.
Any ideas as to why this might be happening and if there's
anything I can do? I have been advised that it could be due to
recent Windows updates and/or the filter is quarantining and
converting to attachments. I was also advised that this is vey
rare. My IT dept didn't seem to think there's anything we can do
about it.
Thanks!

Save the attachment, and give it an eml extension if it doesn't have one (messages attached to TB messages are named 'Attached Message'), then drag the eml file from the Explorer folder where you saved it and drop it on a TB folder in the Folder Pane.

  • History of document attachment and de-attachment (through CV01N)

    Hi experts,
We have a requirement as under:
User created a PR and attachment a document to it. Subsequently PO was created and material procured. Later the requisitioner refused to accept the material claiming that the material procured is not as per the requirement. Then purchaser claimed that we have procured the material as per the details available in attached PDF file in PR line item. When checked there was no document attached to said PR and line item.
Now, please help in finding the history in PR document for attachment and de-attachment of document in PR through DMS tcode CV01N.
    Thanks in advance.

..When checked there was no document attached to said PR and line item...
The document must exist.CV01n transaction is used purely for creation of a Document Info Record.A simpler approach to retrieve the created document would be via CV04n transaction meant for search.Herein, navigate to 'Object Links' tab,and under 'Purchase Req. Item' sub tab,key in the PR details and click 'Execute'.The relevant details should be available.

  • How do I send an attachment as an attachment in Mail?

How do I send an attachment as an attachment in Mail?  What should my mail settings be?  When I click attachment, it displays the whole attachment in the email.

Have you upgraded to Yosemite?  Then you could send the attachment using Mail Drop.
You can use Mail Drop to send files that exceed the maximum size allowed by the provider of your email account. Mail Drop uploads the large attachments to iCloud, where they’re encrypted and stored for up to 30 days.
If you have an iCloud account and you’re signed in to iCloud when you click Send, Mail automatically sends the attachments using Mail Drop. Mail Drop attachments don’t count against your iCloud storage.
If you don’t have an iCloud account, or if you’re not signed in, Mail asks you whether to use Mail Drop (select “Don’t ask again for this account” to always use Mail Drop).
If a recipient uses Mail in OS X Yosemite, the attachments are automatically downloaded and included in your message just like any other attachment. For other recipients, your message includes links for downloading the attachments and their expiration date.
You can turn Mail Drop on or off for an account. Choose Mail > Preferences, click Accounts, select your account, click Advanced, then select or deselect “Send large attachments with Mail Drop.”

  • Why does the file Name for file attached with Annotations "Attach File" (paperclip) become Unknown when Comments are Published?

Our company recently purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro XI for the purpose of using it for shared electronic reviews.  We are using Send for Shared Review created in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, and all the Comment tools work as expectedexcept the paperclip in Annotations.
When a Word or Excel or Image(png, jpeg) file is attached using the Annotations paperclip, the initiator can initially see and open it. But after Publish Comments is selected and the review file is closed, the file "Name" changes to "Unknown" (although the Description has the correct file name and extension).  The Modified information is Unknown, as is the Size and Compressed Size.
When the review file is then re-opened, even the initiator cannot open the file, although:
The file location is marked with the paperclip within the document.
The file name is shown in the Comments List with the initiator's name.
In the Attachments list (the paperclip beneath the Thumbnails and Bookmarks) the Name appears as Unknown, Description shows the file name, Modified is Unknown, Size is Unknown, and Compressed Size is Unknown.
The file Name cannot be edited, although the file Description can be.
We have followed the procedure described in the tutorials but cannot figure out how to troubleshoot this situation.  Since this feature was the reason for the purchase of Adobe Acrobat Pro IX, we would any help. Please don't leave out any basics since we are all new users.
We have several people with Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and the rest have Adobe Reader XI and it is a Windows platform.  Can someone please give us some advice how to get this feature to work as described?

    FYI Rave,
There are some other forum entries with this exact same issue...:

  • Email is flagged with attachment but no attachment is available

Occasionally I receive an e-mail where a particular sender has attached a pdf file.  Sometimes, I receive the email with a paper clip icon indicating an attachment, but no attachment is available.  Closing and re-opening both the email and the application doesn't seem to resolve the problem.  When another recipient of the same e-mail and attachment forwards it to me, I receive the attachment as I should.  If memory serves, this sender is the only one with whom I experience this problem, and I don't believe it happens all of the time. This has occurred on several earlier sub-releases of my iOS.
Ideas where I start to resolve this issue?

If your router is not identified in a national database (don't recall who maintains it or where it is) then there is no location associated with it.  Hence your device cannot be located.  I suggest you try your test at some public wifi spot, like a bookstore or coffee shop.  These places usually have a location associated with their wifi router.

  • Cannot attach with the attachment  button in mail. Can drag them in directly.  But they won't open.  or are corrupted

Cannot attach attachments via the attachment button in mail.
I can drag items into the draft but then they either wont open or are corrupted.
    Help!!!

At some point, Apple started doing this annoying stupid thing with certain app updates (among them QuickTime Player, and iTunes, and Mail) where if those apps do not reside in /Applications they will not be updated properly.
Correct. It has always been that way in OS X. Applications, particularly from Apple, belong in the Applications Folder, where update installers can find them and link to associated system files that may be updated as well without you realising it.

  • Script on parent pdf opens attached pdf, but attached is no longer Reader-enabled

    Hello everyone,
I have a fill-in pdf that uses the following JS to auto open an attached pdf:
    this.exportDataObject({cName: "mypdf.pdf", nLaunch: 2});
Now, the problem is that the user (if using Adobe Reader) cannot save data entered into the attached document.  Using Acrobat, I reader-enabled the attached file "mypdf" before attaching it to the parent pdf.  Somehow, when it becomes attached, it just loses this functionality.  Even when I reader-enable the parent pdf, it warns me that it cannot reader-enable attached files.
This seems like a huge flaw, so I imagine there's a solution.  Any ideas? Anyone face this problem before?

That's extremely helpful. Thanks. Works fine now. David

  • Why a document gets attached without any attach request

Today I sent an email to the condo manager and noticed too late that a pdf was attached that I never requested. The attachment is named "Part 1.2.2" and could not be found with a file search. When you click on that name the file opens normally with the viewer. Incidentally that message was typed in French where you do not use the words attach, attachment etc. because they have a different meaning. This is embarrassing because the attachment contains rather confidential information. Knowing that Windows regularly drops files into a Temp folder I frequently delete them manually. Does anyone know why this mysterious action occurred? Many thanks.

I have a similar experience last month.
    1.I replied a mail.
2.A receiver told me that there was a strange file attached in the replied mail.
3.After checking the sent mail, I found there was an attached file named 「Part 1.2.2.1」 and it's type was PDF.
The original location of the PDF file was another mail.
Could anyone tell me why this happened?
    Thanks a lot.

  • PO Item attachment as email attachment

    Hi Guys,
I need to send the PO item attachment the data stored in the DMS document type SRM and Storage cat. DMS_C1_ST,
I am able to get the document details using the  bapi BAPI_DOCUMENT_GETDETAIL2 but I want content of the document in SOLIX so that I can email it as attachment.
So please let me know is the any FM which gives me the DMS data in Solix format or if any snippet available.
    regards,
    Prabhu

not sure if this will help or not. we do not use a function module. we go directly after the file and read it into a binary table, and it works fine:
      types: t_xline(2048) type x.
data: data_tab  type standard table of t_xline,
            data_line type                   t_xline.
      data: alen type i.
          translate draw-dttrg to lower case.
          concatenate '/home/dms/'
                      draw-dttrg  "vault
                      draw-filep  "file name
                      into picture.
open dataset picture for input in binary mode.
          check sy-subrc = 0.
          read dataset picture into data_line.
          while sy-subrc = 0.
            append data_line to data_tab.
read dataset picture into data_line actual length alen.
          endwhile.
          close dataset picture.
    * once we hit end of file, we need to check one last time to see if any data
    * came in on the last read, because SUBRC 4 means that end of file
    * was reached, but maybe data was still read in. the system stores the bytes
    * read in ALEN.
          if alen <> 0.
            append data_line to data_tab.
          endif.
our dms stores all files in the /home/dms folder. we use that with the vault name and file name int he DRAW table to determine where the file is, then we read it directly into the internal table.
we use this all of the time to pull in documents from DMS. You could likely read direct into a solix table, as well.

  • TS3276 Hi.  Just started using Mac Mail on a macbookpro v10.6.8.  I tried to send a message with two excel (for mac) files attached.  One attached as a file, one inserted all the text into the message body.  Help?

Just started using my Mac Mail program instead of web mail.  When I went to attach two pdf files, one attached as a file, the other inserted all the text into the body of the email message.  How do I get it to attach both pdf's as files?

I think you're confusing two different things. If you attached PDF files and one of them displayed the PDF icon in the message window, that means it was more than one page. If you saw what appeared to be the actual document for the other PDF file, that means it's only one page and it's normal for it to display that way.
However, I seem to recall there may (or should) be a button at the bottom-right of the message window that allows you to display those files as icons, even if they're one page. If not, there's a third-party addition you can use to add that feature:
