E4200 Why huge packet loss at Gig but not 100Mbps?

Vista 64 Intel Pro 1000 with latest driver Here is a shot of the lagometer in COD Black Ops when all is good. I used to see this with my old WRT54GS and connected at 100Mbps Full Duplex or Half Duplex and I currently see this when connected through the E4200 at 100Mbps full or half duplex AND when connected via Gigabit via one of the 4 ports on the back of my cable modem, a Motorola SBG6580 [img]http://photos.smugmug.com/1590700194_rFrtpkV-O-LB.jpg[/img] This next screen capture is what happens when I try to connect via Gigabit thru the E4200. It either starts out like this right away or within 30 seconds to a minute this will start to occur. I believe the red spikes indicate packet loss. It shows the IP address assigned by the ISP that I'm used to seeing.... 24:207:n:n:n:n:n:n .... under the IPv4 info.
I also have IPv6 enabled and I notice under those listings just.... 0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0 ....which is what I'd expect if IPv6 is not yet in use by by ISP.
I've been running a lot of other tests here with various configurations including substituting my old WRT54GS for the E4200. I currently have several devices off an 8 port Gig unmanaged switch and all is fine as long as I have my Intel Pro 1000 NIC set to 100Mbps full or half duplex moe. If I set it to 1000Mbps and connect it via the 8 port hub or the ports off the back of the E4200, soon after the E4200 starts to go wierd for all systems connected. Running Speedtest.org shows a huge increse in ping if I'm lucky enough to get the page to load that far. It does not seem to make any difference that my laptop connects reliably via Gig, just the PC with the Intel card. I've gone out and bought a new Intel Pro 1000 and will stick that in later this evening.

Before you can sync video files, it must be converted into a format compatible with ipod. If you can’t sync a video convert it by doing the following:
In iTunes, select the video you want to convert. Do one of the following then sync again after:
1) Choose File > Create New Version > Create iPod or iPhone Version.
2) Choose File > Create New Version > Create iPad or Apple TV Version.
I hope this works.

Thanks for the response. Must be smart phones. My daughter has a dumb phone and she can send out. I tried deleting my text messages on the Verizon website, but they won’t delete. It must be on their end. Chat line was busy forever, until they shut it down.

Very strange, [email protected] Let's get this figured out. Make sure that SMS messages are turned on. Go to Settings>Messages>Send as SMS. Please let me know if this works.

Why do fonts appear in Keynote, but not in Font Folder?

I made a misguided move in adding fonts through Font Book and am trying to restore my fonts to a previous iteration. Strangely though, the fonts appear in Keynote, but not in the usual Fonts folders. Can anyone shed light on why this might be the case? More information can be found, under the Mavericks discussion forum, here.

As is my guess, there is now something wrong with those fonts. There are utilities, that can possibly repair them - two mentioned in the article. If you have a backup of the fonts, from when they worked, perhaps just going to that, and reinstalling them will solve the issue. I'd hate to think that they might have to be acquired all over again, but that might be "plan D."
Periodically, I will copy all of my fonts to DVD (now - used to be CD), just to have them available for new computers, or OS's. Over the decades, I have lost a few to corruption, that could not be repaired. In several cases, I had an older BU, that did work, but have had to buy a few again. Just checked on my workstation, and I've got 19,362, though seldom more than about 350 ever installed at one time.
This reminds me that it's about time to do another BU, as I will be getting a new workstation and laptop fairly soon, and will need to transfer my fonts to them.
Good luck, and hope that things can be saved - I hate to loose a favorite font.

Why is Image in design view but not in browser?

Why when I insert an image from root folder it shows in design but not in live view or browser? I have opened a new blank html page and still no image will show up.

Do you have an editable region in your main Template head tags?
Just so you know. Making a template out of an HTML document is just about the last step in your design process.
First build your prototype.html page so that everything performs well in all browsers. When you're completely satisfied with how it looks, then Save As Template.dwt.
Add editable regions for content that will change from page to page.
Spawn New page from template and save as index.html for your home page. Repeat for other site pages.

Why can I surf on Firefox, but not on Safari?

Hi,
I'm running an iBook G4 with 10.4.8 on it. My DSL internet connection is through an apartment server, requiring its own manual network configuration to work. That is the easy part...it took a week to figure out the proxies (the local staff and their command of english is Ok but not that good) and I got Firefox up and running. It has been working great for a month.
But one thing is puzzling me, why can't Safari see that I have a functioning DSL internet connection? I am using the same manual configuration for the connection and I have made sure that every program that needs this connection can see it. This problem is, in fact, bigger than just Safari. None of my Apple programs (including Network Diagnostics), Yahoo Messenger or Google Earth can see my working internet connection. I'm perplexed! Any ideas?

It sounds like your Bluetooth device is connected during playback of these videos. Try changing the audio source to iPhone or disconnect the Bluetooth device when playing videos.

Why does book show on phone but not ipad?

Why would a book appear in iBooks on my iPhone, but not in iBooks on my iPad?
I Have the file saved in an email. When I try to open it on my iPad it shows iBooks as an option. However, when I choose it, iBooks opens, but the book never appears.
ANy tips? Idead?

Try iCloud or hooking it up with pic/Mac etc.
also try going to iTunes app on iPad and search it.

If the smtp is rejecting your password you should go in.
Mail -> Preferences -> Accounts
Select your Yahoo account in the sidebar on the left.
In account information tab you will see : " Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) "
Click on it and choose edit SMTP server list.
Select Yahoo and click on the advanced tab.
Now fill your new Yahoo password.

I have seen in many sites, very good scripts doing other thinks, and also i saw one that did exactly what i wanted
called " Artboard_coords.app " but saddly was for mac.
Pleaase if someone has the time to write such a script, i would very much appreciate it, and i think
that it would be very usefull to many other designers too, who works with digital printings,
and have to print cards and other stuff to laser printings.
Untill now i use the script from indesign.

Any idea why .swf works in "simulate download" but not when Published?

I have a project where I have a main project which loads external .swfs, and those external .swfs in turn load more external .swfs. In my main project, everything works perfectly when I preview using simulate download, but once the .swf is published it doesn't work properly. I'm assuming is has something to do with my main site Preloader, that's why I posted here. I'm pasting the code here and attaching the latest size report. Any ideas or help is appreciated!

I think this is either a problem with my site preLoader or my external .swf Loader. I was checking out the bandwith profiler and saw something weird and I wondered if anyone could explain...I've added a picture. I have a blank frame on only my actions layer to export classes to and it seems that frame 2 is "bleeding" into frame 1. Could this be my problem? Why would this happen? Thanks

But I can not find similar restrictions for Servlet. Why?

* For portability from machine to machine: file system access is not allowed.
The same issues exist for servlet. But no restrictions.
