E61 Spreadsheet bug

The spreadsheet has a major flaw with cells formatted as percentage. Formating a cell as percentage changes its value!
eg with the value 0.5 in cell A1, and a formula =A1*100 in cell B1, the result is 50 as you'd expect. Now format A1 as % and the result changes to 0.5 ! And the formated cell shows the incorrect value 0.5% instead of 50%.
Any .xls sheets that use cells formatted as % give the wrong answers
Also, how do I copy/paste cells?
When creating a formula, is there any way to pan around the spreadsheet & select the cell or range I want to use in the calculation?Message Edited by gooseye on 04-Jul-2006

E61 timezone bug!!!

Hi, there seems to definitely be a bug in the E61 firmware 3.0633.09.04 in regard to the timezone for USA->Phoenix.
How do I report this or find out if there is a patch?
Basically, United States/Phoenix has GMT-0 rather than GMT-7. Previous firmwares did not have this problem.

E61 - annoying bug regarding ringtone-associations

Hi,
I have an E61 and I hope somebody can give me any advice on this: There is the possibility of assigning an individual ringtone to any contact. There is also the possibility of setting up different profiles, each with a specific ringtone and a specific message tone.
The trouble is, any ringtone that has been individually assigned to a contact seems to override the settings made in the profiles - so whenever that contact calls, there is a different ringtone than the one set up in the profile. That might have its advantages all right, but I just don´t want it - but I can´t seem to find any way to get rid of it again: Once I have assigned a ringtone to a contact, there is no option to remove it - all I can do is select another one which would merely alter the issue, not solve it.
I haven´t yet tried if individually assigned ringtones override special profiles like "Meeting" - that would be most annoying - but it is annoying enough as it is.
Can anybody tell me how to get rid of an assigned ringtone without selecting any other one so that when that contact calls, the phone will just fall back on the ringtone set up in the profile?

Hi no1_slumko,
why does it "defeat the purpose of..." when, after assigning a special ringtone to any one contact, I want to be able to remove that "tag" again and have the contact without any other ringtone than the one set up in my profile?
The problem is, that option reacts very proactively - as soon as I merely look into the option of assigning a special ringtone to a contact, I guess, one does get assigned this contact and the ringtone set up in the profile is overridden. What´s missing is a possibility of clearing the contact of this specially assigned ringtone again.

Hp prime

When I was using the HP Prime for the first time the Spreadsheet App had problems. I couldn't enter any number in the cell, the error message came up and when I moved to another cell and made an attempt to enter any data the calculator started popping up the screen as if it were connected for the first time. I did the reset and did not solve the problem, and if I leave the calculator in the App Spreadsheet and go to any other function, for example, Home to use it in common operations the Calculator restarts the same way. To use the calculator in any another function I have to leave the Spreadsheet App.

One possible cause of your trouble is a bug in the Spreadsheet App which was present in the version of the firmware that was in the initial release of the HP Prime. Press the Help key, tap Tree, navigate to the second line from the top (About HP Prime) and tap OK. If you have Software version 2013 8 13 (5106), then you have the original version, which is buggy and now obsolete. If this is the case, be sure to run the Connectivity Kit on your PC, use it to download the latest firmware and to upgrade your Prime. The current version is 2013 11 25 (5447). If that does not help, your flash memory might have been corrupted by the old Spreadsheet bug. To wipe your flash memory (don't worry; it doesn't wipe the operating system, but you will lose all your saved data and programs), do this emergency procedure: Turn off.Press and hold down the F, C, and O keys. (That's the letter O, not the digit zero).Press and release the On key, while still holding down F, C, and O.When the "DIAGNOSTIC" screen appears, release C, F, and O.Press 4, 3, Enter.After a few moments, a blue OK appears on the right edge.Press Esc, 9. Bug in writing Integer Data in Hex in Write Spreadsheet File

It appears that Write to Spreadsheet File forces all data to I64. Try writing an I16 or I32 array with a negative number. Format specification to 4x, 8x or whatever is ignored and you get a full completent of 16 bytes with a lot of FF's at the beginning making it I64

it's not a bug it's a feature :-)
Whenever you want to format numbers the formatting routine will try to leave as much digits as needed/possible. When you format I8 then 2 digits are ok, I16 needs 4 digits and so on.
You can easily test this behaviour when using the 'Array to spreadsheet string' function (it's also used inside 'Write spreadsheet file'). When saving negative integers as Hex formatted ALL digits are needed to describe the number and so you get all of them in your text file!
The only problem is: 'Write to spreadsheet file' only knows about I64. Whenever you want to save negative numbers you get 16 digits regardless of format string.
Solution:
Change the 'write to spreadsheet file' as described before or do the formatting on your own by using 'array to spreadsheet string'!

Strange bug when exporting a spreadsheet to a pdf

I am using Numbers 3.5 on a brand new Mac with Yosemite and I think that I have found a bug. When I export a spreadsheet into either a pdf or excel file it works fine if I save it to my default location (Documents). But if I change to a subfolder within Documents before I do the export I get an error message that says "The file name.pdf doesn't exist!" (Where name is the filename that I have specified for the export.) It's as if Numbers is trying to open an existing file instead of exporting to make a new one. Any ideas on this?

I will reply to my own question. I spent some time with an Apple tech support person and at first I stumped him. Eventually he got it to work and he thinks that the key was to get my computer to reindex my file structure. He did that by creating another folder inside Downloads, exported to it OK, and then was able to export to my previously existing subfolders. Thank you Apple!

"OracleBI Spreadsheet Add-In" â bug on the page items

I detected that "OracleBI Spreadsheet Add-In" has a bug on the page items. It occurs when I have more than one page item. What happens is that all the page items (except the first), donât permit to select other values. This is, I can click in the ComboBox, I can see the values that the ComboBox contains and I can select a value of the ComboBox. When I select other value, the add-in executes the query (it refreshes the sheet), but the value of the combo is not modified, and the values of the facts arenât also modified. (The query that is done is the same)
But if I change the layout, and put the page item in the first position, the value of the ComboBox is modified and a new query is executed.
I am using only ROLAP cubes.
The version of the database is 10.1.0.4.0.
I did an upgrade from 10.1.0.2.0 to 10.1.0.4.0.
The version of "OracleBI Spreadsheet Add-Inâ is:
Release 1 version 10.1.2.0.0 - (build 10.1.2.0.36)
When is done a new version of "OracleBI Spreadsheet Add-Inâ, without this bug?

The metadata is ok according to âOracle Enterprise Manager Websiteâ.
The version of Excel that I use is:
Microsoft Office Excel 2003 (11.5612.5606).
But is very stranger that the first page item works perfectly and the others have a bad behaviour, isnât it?

HTMLDB v1.6 bug spreadsheet import wizard

Hi HTMLDB Team,
A major HTMLDB 1.6.1 bug found as follows:
The problem found when importing data thru Spreadsheet wizard of Data workshop.
Say, i have a table where with other fields the two more field added as created_by and created_date.A trigger is created on that table to keep track of user and time
so before insert of any row that two field created_by and created_date will be updated.But if i have created_by field with 10 varchar but the actual user name came as 20 varchar from a spredsheet csv input. unfortunately while updating other column from csv the trigger first got disabled and then update other column but actually in ideal condition it must throw error mentioning that the field length must be large than the present one.So finally the other fields updated while trigger is not fired.
So HTMLDB team must notice the runtime error throw by the spreadsheet data import wizard.
Any further issue how to get rid of that kind of runtime?
Hope in future release that bug can be fixed.....

Just tried on htmldb.oracle.com (1.6.1) and it doesn't work.
I created application 45782 in GLENMORRIS workspace, with a very simple calendar which allows clicking on an item and it links to the same page and displays the selected value.
Exported this app and imported under new application id 22563. The new application no longer has the link in the calendar.
Searched the bug database in metalink and couldn't find anything.
Any ideas on this?
It looks like I may have to edit our production application as the link has gone missing between the export from test and the import into prod.

E61 SIP realm bug !

[My E61 use the latest firmware from july 2006]
There is an important bug with the E61 SIP.
Its impossible to create 2 differents accounts with the same realm (domain) name !?!?
Exemple, i have two accounts with realm *freephonie.net*, but E61 dont accept the second account.
Perhaps, one day..., this #!:#=# !!! bug will be removed.
But i must to find a solution, now.
So i would be glad to know the name of the file where i can found and modify "by hand" these parameters in th E61.

Bug in new firmware for Nokia E61

After upgrading the number shortcuts don't work. For example, on the menu, you were able to access items by pressing a number (1 = left top corner, 2= first row second column, etc). On calcium the numbers don't work. On Opera the number shortcuts don't work. The only way to get them to work is by pressing the blue key and hold it down while pressing the number. I have seen posts on different boards, some people have this bug others don't. I think it is related to upgrades for specific keyboard layouts. My layout is the the one that includes the funny spanish "n" to the right of the spacebar.

I found another bug after update. The Ctrl + CVX (Copy, Paste, Cut) doesn't work with number fields in the Contacts. I used to copy/paste numbers between contacts and/or between two field types. Copy/paste only works with text fields like FirstName, Email etc.
The audio quality improved considerably but the volume got reduced noticably. Before the update, one music video I had stored in card used to play real loud, now it is not as loud as it was before. (Not a big deal).
Updated FW and installed Mail for Exchange 1.3.0. Once configured and running, it sometimes doesn't allow me to change settings. It says - "Mail for Exchange settings page is open. Please exit open settings first". And I don't know which setting page it is referring to.

I just got my new E-61 yesterday. It still on ver 1 firmware. I bought it on ebay India, its product code is 0530151 (which I believe is a "Euro Silver"). Its a made in Finland piece having "english" and "nederlands" as the two languages. NSU shows updates available but I am scared to death to try that out (all those KB remapping issue scare me) and so I will wait till I am comfortable with the phone.
I notice a few bugs already
1) I made a new profile but if I chose it instead of General, I lose out on having the date in Active Standby page. Considering that there are acres of unused space, its strange that Nokia will do it by design.
2) The voice recorder button is very easy to press by mistake and there seem no way to stop these accidental recordings.
3) If I chose Tools-Setting-Network-Cell Info Display as "ON", I am supposed to get my carrier supplied location text on the screen but it comes momentarily and then gets hidden due to the fact that bluetooth icon obscures it. Even if I keep bluetooth OFF, it still shows cell info part only momentarily. This looks like a bug to me.
4) WLAN and GPRS connection don't close when I close the Nokia browser. Is this by design? In my earlier 6670 I was using Opera and there when I used to exit the connection will close automatically.

Scrolling bug in E61 - "locked" joystick phenomeno...

As soon as I merely touch the joystick, ANY list starts to scroll in record time, like the joystick was locked in the upwards position - what's the fix cause for this?
As Nokia refuses to make an updater available for Mac OS X (or simply provide a simple firmware FILE to transfer to a card -like all Camera firmwares are handled nowadays...), I am on the original firmware - see below. I am not paying 300 GBP for a phone and then have to get a cab to a Nokia service point, how ridiculous can things get?

What my shoesize and other preferences as well? Get Real!
Seriously considering throwing this thing in the Thames some day soon and getting a Blackberry or SonyEricsson again...

I have the same problem. Sometimes it locks, sometimes it just behaves badly, that is, right goes down, down goes left, and left and center do not react.
A guy on youtube has posted a movie on the problem and suggests it might be a virus:

But I am not sure. It seems to be a software problem, but it is hard to tell. I tried all the options for fixing it:
1) hard reset in all possible ways
2) installed the firmware again
3) opened the phone up and cleaned the joystick
Well, cleaning the joystick seemed to have helped. The other 2 solutions didn't. But after a while, the problem turned up again. Then it disappeared. Without any reason. And then back again. And so on.
So I really don't what the cause is. It seems to be software, since it does work well from time to time, without any changes being made in the hardware. And it might as well be a virus, as it creeps up in seemingly random intervals. But then, a fresh installation didn't solve the problem...
Has anybody had any success in eliminating this? Any thoughts on how to go further?

Bug: Text Search is not working for Excel spreadsheets

Hi,
We have published several Excel, Word and PowerPoint file items to our portal application content area.
However, The intermedia text search is not returning the excel files - it is working on other file formats though!
I have even tried directly issueing select from sqlplus. eg.,:
select name,filename from wwv_document$ where name like '%.XLS'
AND CONTAINS(BLOB_CONTENT,'network')>0;
Result>> No rows selected.
We are using Portal3.0.9 and 8.1.7 DB.

Firstly, are you syncronizing your indexes. Newly added content is not searchable until the indexes have been synced. See the Portal configuration guide for how to do this.
Are your Excel files being indexed successfull? After indexing, are there any entries for the WWSBR_DOC_CTX_INDX in the ctx_user_index_errors view. You should be able to join via the rowid to the wwdoc_document$ table to see which docs are failing if any are.

Automatic transfer When you have an active call and choose Options -> Automatic transfer and then enter a number you get the "Waiting for acceptance to transfer call" message. The call is not transfered until you hang-up. Question: Is this normal or should the phone hang-up automatically? 2. New call and then transfer When you have an active call you can choose Options -> New call -> Internet call. After entering the number ... a. the Standby application crashes b. the call gets transfered and the Standby application crashes and displays a light bubble with the text "call1". In both cases I can only restart the phone by pressing the power on button. Does anyone know the solution to my problems? TIA, Mike

Photoshop: Text box bug

Today our designers have run into an interesting bug I've never seen before, and perhaps one of you has and can offer a solution.
We are working on a file that has been opened and edited on both PS CS4 and CS6, contains images and text and some shapes. That's the extent of it's complexity other than the fact it has about 70 groups. It's a file we use to generate headers for our different outlet centers.
Here's what happens:
We open the file and the first thing that occurs is Font Suitcase apparently goes insane, loading fonts for about a minute.
After that abates the file can be modified normally. That is until you click on a text box with the text tool. Immediately the text in the box will change to another set of text within the file. Note that the layer selected is the correct layer -- It even displays the name as the expected text-- but as soon as it is clicked with the text tool the text in the box changes not just content but sometimes color.
My only thought is that when the file was saved back from CS6 the last time it was edited, the references that control the actual source text and not the pre-rendered shapes that are instantiated from the text source have been frame-shifted somehow. Like taking a few cells out of a spreadsheet on a particular column, it causes all the other stuff to get misaligned.
We've tried saving it back from CS4 / CS6 in a multitude of configurations such as Adobe PDF. No dice.
Thoughts?

What Chris didn't say is that unfortunately there's apparently nothing you can do to recover the contents of the file, save for recreating all the text (or dropping back to a version of the file saved before working on it with Photoshop CS6).
We all anxiously await the 13.0.1 update.
