E71 Calendar synchronisation problems using MFE

Hello All,
I have a E71 and I am experiencing problems using MFE. The connection to the server appears fine until calendar attempts to synchronise, at which point the log reports 'sync died (130)'  Email and Contacts sync automatically
however if I attempt to add calendar to the sync schedule the connection just dies. I have included an extract of the report log:-

I have installed the latest MFE 2.9.158 and rest the device a number of times, but I still have the same problem
For info syncing on an MS Push email (same account) appears fine.
Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated

  • E6 - calendar synchronisation problem

    Hello everybody
    I have a problem with calendar synchronisation. I try to synchronise my phone calendar with Google calendar. I set up all necessary options in Mail for Exchange (server version 1.2, server id: Google, hot address: https://m.google.com/syncml, port 443, network connection: internet, my username and password), but although my contacts synchronise fine, the calendar does not. I receive the following message: wrong remote database. I set the remote database as "calendar" in options (just as in previous Symbian Nokias), but it is apparently wrong. For contacts, setting remote database as "contacts" works fine. What do I do wrong? I'd be very grateful for any help.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi krzywarp,
    Welcome to our Nokia forum!
    If your Mail for Exchange account is configured correctly and you can view your contacts, there's nothing wrong with the account and everything's syncing the way it should.
    The reason why you are unable to view your calander is most likely because you're not authorised to do so by your administrator.
    If you ask your administrator they will be able to tick the calander box. When you resync your Mail for Exchange account after this, you will be able to view your calander.
    Hope this helps.

  • Synchronisation problem using rules (subfolder) at Outlook

    Hello!
    I have a synchronisation (subfolder) problem with my outlook account using the standard iOS-mail App. I have several rules to move emails from specific sender to subfolders. These rules were created directly @ Outlook.com.
    There isn't any notice of new emails in the subfolder. So I need to open the subfolder to receive new mails.
    Is it possible to synchronise the whole inbox folder (with subfolders) without open it manually?
    Best regards

  • Calendar synchronise problem

    I've tried searching for a fix for this but no luck
    When I give permission for my itunes/ipod to synchronise with my ms outlook 2003 calendar, it will not do it, however it synchronises all my contacts from outlook no problem!?How can I fix this?? Help greatly appreciated:)

    http://www.apple.com/support/ipod101/maximize/2/#2
    Open Outlook and make sure that the events you wish to take with you are up to date.
    Connect your iPod to your computer, then open iTunes (if it doesn't open automatically).
    On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
    Click the iPod tab, then click the Calendars tab in the iPod pane.
    Select the "Synchronize calendars from Microsoft Outlook" checkbox.
    Click OK to copy your calendars (see "Viewing Calendars," below, to find out how to view your schedule on your iPod). iTunes will now automatically update your calendars whenever you connect your iPod.

  • (1) Calendar sync. problem using Chapura 3.1.2: (2) Can I sync more that one calendar in Outlook?

    A few items do not sync onto my Visor Prism (Palm 4.0.1 OS) calendar from my desktop computer (XP) Outlook (version 2003).  It is listed as "Unknown Error (FFFF)" in the HotSync Log.  Using Chapura 3.1.2.  Any ideas???
    Also, can these versions be set to sync more than one Outlook calendar???
    Post relates to: Visor Prism

    I am uncertain if Chapura makes products that allow for syncing to multiple Outlook calendars that are compatible with a device as old as the Visor. Best if you inquire with them directly.

  • Calendar layout problem using iPhoto 09

    With the 6 photo layout option the largest photo started out as a vertical, just like the menu selection suggests. However, after replacing some of the other photos, the desired vertical became a horizontal. The actual image requires the portrait style (vertical), but we cannot get it back. Can anyone offer suggestions how to return that photo to a vertical?

    it probably depends on the order you place the photos - see liz Castro's web site for a general discussion - http://www.iphotobookthemes.com/pmwiki.php?n=Main.OriginalOrientation - probably the only way is to experiment

  • Calendar Server 3.5: Problem using user's ID with uniuser -mod command

    When there are two users who have the same Common Name (CN) in LDAP but
    different User ID's (uid
    field), I have a problem using the uid
    field as an argument to
    uniuser -mod in Netscape Calendar
    Server (NCS) 3.5. For example, there may be two users, User1 and User2, who
    both have the CN "John Smith."<BR>
    <P>
    <B>User1</B>
    uid: jsmith2
    sn: Smith
    givenname: John
    nscalxitemid: 10001:00314
    <B>User2</B>
    uid: jsmith
    sn: Smith
    givenname: John
    nscalxitemid: 10001:00213
    <P>
    Let's say I want to change the value for nsCalOrgUnit2
    for User1 to "jsmith." In NCS 4.0,
    I can specify the uid as
    an argument to uniuser -mod
    . However, in NCS 3.5, if I specify the
    uid as an argument to
    uniuser -mod, the entry
    for the user does not get changed.<BR>
    <P>
    <B>Calendar Server 4.0</B><BR>
    <P>
    %uniuser -mod "ID=00314" -m "OU2=jsmith/OU3=People" -n 10001
    <BR>
    uniuser: modified "Smith, John"<BR>
    <P>
    (The LDAP entry for User1 also reflects this change.)
    <P>
    <B>Calendar Server 3.5</B><BR>
    <P>
    %uniuser -mod "ID=00314" "OU2=jsmith/OU3=People" 10001
    <BR>
    uniuser: no need to modify "Smith,John"<BR>
    <P>
    (The LDAP entry for User1 does not reflect the change.)<BR>
    <P>
    %uniuser -mod "S=Smith/G=John/ID=00314" "OU2=jsmith/OU3=People"
    10001<BR>
    uniuser: no need to modify "Smith,John"<BR>
    <P>
    (The LDAP entry for User1 does not reflect the change.)<BR>
    <P>
    If I use the command uniuser -mod "S=Smith/G=John"
    "OU2=jsmith/OU3=People" 10001
    in NCS 3.5, the script will change the entry of the first "John Smith" in the
    database and will cause the LDAP entry for this user to be updated as well.
    However, the entry modified may or may not be the correct one. So, in
    NCS 3.5, is there a way to specify a particular uid
    to ensure that the correct LDAP entry
    is modified?
    <P>
    To modify a user's information using the uid
    field in Calendar Server 3.5, change
    the user.ini file. The
    following steps show how to change a user's information by modifying the
    .ini file:<BR>
    <P>
    <OL>
    <LI>Open the user.ini
    file, which is in the path /users/unison/misc/user.ini
    <P>
    <LI>Add a section containing the desired changes. For example,<BR>
    <P>
    [Test]<BR>
    OU2 = jsmith<BR>
    OU3 = People<BR>
    <P>
    <LI>Run uniuser with
    the following options:<BR>
    <P>
    % uniuser -mod "ID=00314" -s Test 10001
    </OL>

    It turns out to be a problem with the user Keychain. It has some weird entry that was sending the wrong password. I delete all entries to the server and that corrected the problem

  • Sync two outlook profiles on E71 using MfE?

    So, I have two Outlook profiles running on two separate servers; I want to be able to sync both with my E71 using MfE but so far no joy.  I've managed to set one up but, unless I'm missing something, it looks the E71 can't deal with two different Outlook profiles (trying to set up the second overwrites the first)? Can anyone help me?

    You are correct. One will overwrite the other. Why use two in the first place?

  • Disable calendar alert on E51 using MFE

    Hi.
    I've got a Nokia E51 and am using MFE to sync. with an Exchange server.
    How do I turn off the calender alert function?
    I like to see my appointments on the phone, but I don't want it to alert me before the meetings start - I get that alert on my PC.
    I've managed to turn off the alert sound, but it still vibrates and displays the alert.
    Best regards
    Mads Milter

    this comes up time and time again on just about every e and n series phone.
    i've spent considerable time trying different apps and every setting there is and so far i have found no way to stop reminders on the phone and keep them on the other sources the phone is sync'd to.
    if any developers out there wrote an app just for this i'd happily pay for it.

    I also moved from an e61i to and E71 but didn't have any problems moving my mail accounts. I have three on the phone (MFE, POP3, and IMAP4). All work fine.
    Can you connect manually to the Eircom Net email service?
    What settings are you using for the "Access point in use" under the "Connection settings"? I've never had any luck getting this to work using WIFI and have all 3 accounts setup to use my ATT 3G Connection.
    Also, check your "Retrieval settings" and "Automatic Retrieval" configuration to make sure they are correct.

    1. Is it possible to access Yahoo Small Business's e-mail on my N97 using MfE (I am using it with normal Mailbox option in phone).
    2. If we can use what is the server name which I need to use for this application (It is not accepting pop.bizmail.yahoo.com).

  • Mail for Exchange - Calendar Alarms Problem

    Hi there,
    I have MfE working brilliantly, but there is one small issue that is bothering me.
    I also use PC Sync to syncronise with Outlook at home. Everything works fine, and I use Outlook at home to set up the majority of my appointments and these obviously get synced to my work exchange server.
    The issue is that if I have an alarm set on one of these appointments and I "Dismiss" it at work, MfE then effectively deletes the original appointment and creates a new one without an alarm; rather than just modifying the existing one.
    When I then syncronise at home it does the same and as the Nokia doesn't syncronise Categories I then lose my categories.
    I have a feeling it is to do with the "owner" of the appointment on Exchange as appointments syncronised are owned and organised by myself whereas ones created directly on Outlook at work don't specify an organiser or owner.
    Has anyone else experienced this?
    Any ideas?
    Cheers,
    Ian

    Hi m4e_team_k,
    Thanks very much for your response, I am grateful for your time.
    I will describe how I use my phone so you should be able to better understand what I'm doing.
    I use PC Sync to syncronise my phone with my Personal laptop on which I generally manage my calendar but it is NOT connected to an exchange server at all.
    I use MfE to syncronise with the Exchange server at work as this is also required.
    It seems that whenever any change is made on Exchange to an appointment (whether it be to change the category or even cancel an alarm or add notes to the description) MfE cannot syncronise the item, but instead it deletes the original on the phone and then creates a new one.
    Now probably this would go unnoticed to most users, but PC Sync then does the same which causes me to lose my categories on Outlook on my Personal PC.
    It seems that MfE cannot modify appointments, but simply deletes any changed ones and replaces with server copies.
    Until recently I have used Sony Ericsson handsets and this set-up works flawlessly with these.
    I have tried using RoadSync and this simply modifies the entries where there are changes rather than deleting and re-creating (but it is very resource-hungry). So it appears to be a flaw in MfE's implementation of syncronisation.
    I appreciate your assistance.
    Thanks,
    Ian.

  • Problem Using Aperture as an External Editor

    I'm having a problem using Aperture as an external editor for iPhoto. I've set preferences to "Edit in Aperture" and selected the Aperture application. When I click edit a photo in iPhoto, Aperture fires up as expected, but it does not load my photo. Nothing seems to be exported from iPhoto into Aperture.
    I can export the same photo to my desktop and then load it into Aperture fine.
    When I set preferences to edit in CS2, this works fine, only Aperture seems to be the problem.
    What am I doing wrong?
    I'm using the following versions:
    - iPhoto 7.0.2
    - Aperture 1.5.4

    If you have Photoshop CS2 then you'd have a better editor using it within iPhoto as follows:
    Using Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements) as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
    1 - select Photoshop as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
    2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
    3 - however, if you get the navigation window that indicates that PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
    This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
    If you want to use both iPhoto's editing mode and PS without having to go back and forth to the Preference pane, once you've selected PS as your editor of choice, reset the Preferences back to "Open in main window". That will let you either edit in iPhoto (double click on the thumbnail) or in PS (Control-click on the thumbnail and seledt "Edit in external editor" in the Contextual menu). This way you get the best of both worlds
    Do you Twango?
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Problems with MfE on a E61i

    I have a problem with one of my clients E61i. It was configured using MfE and was working fine until now. i have checked the security certificate. i have reset the phone and reconfigured MfE, i have removed MfE several times and installed it several times. i have reset the users credentials a number of times. i can access the OWA though the browser on the phone.

    Oh yes, it does update partial information like contacts, but mail has not been updated for a number of days. The users mailbox is also way under the size limit

  • Outlook 2013 is not publishing calendar to webdav using settings successful with Outlook 2010

    I am successfully publishing availability data (an ics file) to a webdav server, using Outlook 2010. The format of the URL is https://[domain]/public_html/calendar/
    When I use the same URL in Outlook 2013, it returns the message "Contacting web server" and then "The upload to 'Calendar' failed. Failed to sign in."
    Of course, there's no sign in dialog box provided. So, I change the URL to the format https://[login name]:[password]@URL/public_html/calendar/
    There is no "Contacting web server". Instead, Outlook goes directly to the error message "The upload of 'Calendar' failed. The calendar was not published because the connection to the server failed. Make sure your computer has a network connection
    and that you typed the correct Web address."
    There's nothing wrong with the connection; I've tried this and its failed many times. So, I conclude that Outlook 2013 doesn't like a web address that includes the login credentials.
    What changed with Outlook 2013 that prevents it from publishing to the same location successfully published to, by Outlook 2010?

    This problem continues, and it's a showstopper.  Honestly, this is so easy to reproduce and so fundamental that I'm surprised that Microsoft hasn't done anything with it.  Tony Chen, your answer isn't really an answer
    at all.  Why mark it as an answer?
    Here are the specifics.  I have Microsoft Outlook 2013 (15.0.4667.1000) MSO (15.0.4667.1001) 32 bit (part of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013).
    In my calendar, I select "Publish Online > Publish to WebDAV Server".  I then have a dialog box that requires that I enter the publishing location URL.
    I enter a URL (which is my company's internal WebDAV server URL), in the same form as the example given:
        https://mycompany.com/calendars/
    and then I click "Advanced".  I select "Automatic Uploads: Upload updates periodically", with the Update Frequency checkbox checked (to select the server's recommended settings).  I click "OK", and my calendar is published
    periodically to the WebDAV server, as expected.
    If I monitor traffic with fiddler, I can see that outlook periodically does a PROPFIND and then PUT of my ical data to https://mycompany.com/calendars/myfile.ics.
    Next, suppose I want to change the publish settings in some way.  So in my calendar, I select "Publish Online > Change Publishing Options".
    Now, the "Location" text box has the previous URL I entered,
    plus the name of my .ics file.  So it looks like this in the text box:
        https://mycompany.com/calendars/myfile.ics
    I click "OK", and I get an error popup that says "The address you typed is not valid.  Check the address, and try again."  Note that I didn't type the address at all - it is what outlook put there for me.
    As a side note:  in Outlook 2010 the URL shown is the same (i.e., the URL includes the .ics file) but the text box is inactive (greyed out) and the "OK" button does not produce this error message).
    So, already something has gone very wrong.  In order to try to work around this, I then edit the text box to remove the .ics file (i.e., to put the URL back to what I originally typed,
    https://mycompany.com/calendars/).  But now, one of two things will happen, neither of which is ok.
    In some cases, Outlook will continue to publish periodically, but when it does, it will do a PUT to
    https://mycompany.com/calendars/ - without the myfile.ics suffix.  Naturally, this fails, because the server doesn't know what .ics file it's supposed to put the PUT payload into.
    In other cases, Outlook ceases publishing altogether.  It will do a PROPFIND to the URL, but then no PUT.  I have not yet figured out the circumstances of these two failure modes, so I'm not yet sure why one happens and not the other.  But
    they are both wrong.
    So, the long and short of this is, you cannot change publishing options in Outlook 2013, because the functionality (which worked fine in Outlook 2010) is just plain broken.  I have given the steps required to reproduce this problem, and it seems like
    it would be easy to address.  Yet it has been sitting for 1.5 years with no fix.  What will it take to get this fixed?  Microsoft people, please advise - if I can get it fixed by opening a support case then please say so; paying is not an obstacle.
