Login to to the Ebiz database with user/paswad app/app and verify the detiled parameter for below DB procedures which are being used to create, update user and responsibility related work
Create User FND_USER_PKG.CreateUser
Disable user FND_USER_PKG.DisableUser
Update USer FND_USER_PKG.UpdateUser
Enable User FND_USER_PKG.EnableUser
Add Responsibility FND_USER_PKG.AddResp
Update Responsibility FND_USER_PKG.AddResp
Remove Responsibility FND_USER_PKG.DelResp
In your case call two method
1.CreateUser pass all parameter
2. add responsibility - for responsibility check the KEY/ID value for System administrator in FND_RESPONSIBILITY table. while calling method pass this ID/KEY
Better put this in EBIZ forum.

• Add XML Publisher Administrator responsibility with EBS 11.5.9

Hi all !
I'm exploring the possibility to use XML Publisher inside Oracle E Business Suite 11.5.9. because...unfortunately it's not possible to upgrade EBS to the 11.5.10 version
I found a note on the forum which says: "Starting from 11.5.9 the XMLP is bundled with Apps. You just need to add XML Publisher Administrator responsibility to your profile, and install MS Word template builder on your PC".
So...my questions are:
1) how can I add the XML Publisher Administrator responsibility to my profile ? Should I set up something (already existing into EBS), or should I install a patch ?
2) how can I know the XML Publisher version bundled within Apps (if what is written inside that note it's true), 'cause I'd like to use the 5.6.3 version
Also, I looked for a solution on Metalink and the only note regarding how to use XML Publisher inside E Business Suite 11.5.9. is the note id 278727.1 (even I should install the 4.5 XML Publisher version - TOO OLD)
Thanks in advance
Alessandro

Hi Ravi thanks for you answer !
So....I tried to create the responsibility from scratch, because nothing is defined for XML Publisher, in this way (from the OA System Administrator):
Responsibility Name: XML Publisher Administration
Application: XML Publisher
Responsibility Key: XDO_ADMINISTRATION
.....but inside the Data Group area
Name : Standard
Application: ?
....and inside the Menu area which information should I write ?
Is there something to follow in order to create from scratch a XML responsibility ?
Thanks again

• Test user sign-up "null response"

When I try to add a test user in itunes connect, I get a red error that says ""null response"

Hi gerrymccoy.
Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network, choose Network Port Configurations from the Show popup menu, and make sure that the configuration used to connect to Internet appears at the top of the list. Try also turning OFF all the network port configurations except the one needed to connect to Internet and see whether that helps — if it doesn’t, turn ON again the ones you want enabled.
Also, Mail keeps information about outgoing (SMTP) servers in a separate list independently of the mail accounts themselves. The account settings just associate one of the available outgoing servers with each account. Deleting an account doesn’t remove from the list the outgoing server that was associated with it. Orphaned or dangling outgoing server entries (i.e. not associated with any account) sometimes cause weird sending problems.
Go to Preferences > Accounts > Account Information > Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), choose Edit Server List from the popup menu, and delete any servers that shouldn’t be there. The Edit Server List panel shows the account each outgoing server is associated with.

• Set up Roles in ebs for Users?

Hi
I am creating a conversion for employee security. I was wondering if anyone has set up roles in ebs. I am attempting to get minimal employee data...just names and emp numbers. With that I will set up users. Now that's fine, but what I want is to set up roles for those users. Say a Buyer or Vendor. I want to classify them as such. And then have different responsibilities show up in the app.
Can this be accomplished? Any insight would help.

If I have understood this correctly, you could use RBAC (Role Based Access). This is more commonly known as User Management (product code UMX).
The ony user with this role is initially SYSADMIN. However, you can use SYSADMIN to grant this role to other users.
Once you have access to User Management, you can define a ROLE. ROLES can be hierarchical, so one ROLE can incorporate other roles.
To achieve what I think you're trying to do, create a ROLE called ABC. Then make RESPONSIBILITIES X, Y and Z subordinate to that role. Respopnsibilities are specific type of roles anyway.
Then ROLE ABC will contain responsibilities X, Y and Z.
Still using the User Management responsibility, ASSIGN ROLE ABC to a user. Then go into 'standard' System Administrator. Navigate to SECURITY > USER >DEFINE and query this user. You will NOT see the responsibilites X, Y, Z because the form defaults to the DIRECT RESPONSIBILITIES tab. These are the responsibilities assigned via System Administrator. BUT - use the tab called INDIRECT RESPONSIBILITIES and you will see X, Y and Z.
Apply this process to multiple users and you have a solution!

Tim

• Restrict Workflow Administrator responsibility for a business group

My requirement is to restrict the Workflow Administrator responsibility to a specific business group so that the administrator can view all notifications/transactions for a given business group only for ALL item types. I tried following the steps given in the document 'Oracle Self-Service Human Resources (SSHR) Release Notes, Release 12.1.1' metalink id 578360.1. However, it doesnt seem to be working. Any idea on how to do this configuration?
Thanks,
Pallavi

Hi,
EBS version: 12.1.3, Database 11g
Below are the steps to reproduce the issue:
1) Create a security profile 'XXX-UK-WF' with following values:
Business Group: <UK business group name>
View Employees: Restricted
View Contingent Workers: Restricted
View Applicants: restricted
View Contacts: Restricted
View Candidates: All
Organization Security Tab--> Security Type: View All Organizations(No Security)
2) Set the HR: Security Profile option at the responsibility level for the Workflow Administrator Web(New) responsibility.
3) Log on to the Functional Developer responsibility and search for the predefined Workflow Item Attribute Values (WF_ITEM_ATTRIBUTE_VALUES) object.
4) Click the Update icon to navigate to the Update Object page.
5) Click Create Grant on the Grants tab.
On the Define Grant page, enter the following details:
In the Name field, enter a descriptive name for the grant.
Specify the effective date for the grant as '01-Sep-2011'.
In the Grantee Type field, select 'Group of users' and select teh responsibility 'Workflow Administrator Web(New)' in the Grantee field.
6)In the Object field, select the delivered object Workflow Item Attribute Values
7)On the Grant: Select Object Data Context page, select the HR Self-Service Selected Person ID Instance Set (HRSS_WF_ATTR_PERSONID_INSTSET)
8) On the Grant: Define Object Parameters and Select Set page:
In the Set field, enter the delivered Business workflow item attribute permission set (WF_ADMIN_ITEM_ATTR_PSET).
Click Finish to complete the grant creation process.
9) Logout and login as a user having Workflow Administrator Web(New) responsibility. Navigate to Administer--> Status Monitor. Search for all the workflows started this week. All the transactions from all the business groups will be listed. ideally, only the transactions occuring in UK business groups should have been listed.

R12: "User Management" Responsibility 를 User 에게 Assign 후 click 하면 아래와 같은 error 가 발생합니다.
ERROR
There are no functions available for this responsibility
SOLUTION
User Management Responsibility 의 경우 'Security Administrator' 와 'Customer Administrator' Role privilege 가 해당 user에게 assign되어 있을 때에만 사용 가능 하다.
아래와 같이 assign 한다.
1. SYSADMIN User 로 applications 에 접속 한다.
2. User Management responsibility 를 선택한다.
3. Users web page 를 click 한다.
4. 해당 user 를 find 한다.
5. Update Icon 을 click 한다.
6. Assign Roles button을 click 한다.
7. 'Security Administrator' Role 를 Assign 한다.
8. Apply 후 Customer Administrator Role 도 동일한 방법으로 assign 한다.
9. 해당 user 로 다시 applications 에 접속 후 test 해 본다.
REFERENCE
Note. 734280.1 - UMX Error: 'There are no functions available for this responsibility' And/Or 'There are no valid navigations for this responsibility' when Accessing 'User Management' Responsibility.

Rick,
You do not mention which account you are using to do this - I suspect you are using your own account. What you will notice is that if you login as the SYSADMIN account and use the User Management responsibility, you will be able to succeed :-) In a real world situation, the SYSADMIN account (being a generic one) is typically locked down, so using the SYSADMIN account is not feasible. What you will need to do is to login as the SYSADMIN account (this one time only) and using the User Management responsibility, grant the "Security Administrator" role to your apps account (assuming it is the one you are using). Then logout and login as yourself and you will see that you will be able to do what you need to do. Unfortunately, this step is not documented very well anywhere AFAIK. Pl let us know if this works for you.

• Re: (forte-users) No response from Router partition

Sounds like what we have been experiencing here, on Unix.
According to Forté, upgrading to 3M should resolve it. Unfortunately, we
can't
confirm it yet, as we are in the process of upgrading and testing.
I believe this is documented as an "internal" Forté bug report.

Hi All,
One of the router partitions on NT server stops responding once in awhile. We can not get to it through escript or econsole and the only
solution we have is to shutdown the ftexec using task manager and start
the partition again. We don't see any error messages in the log except
this line "LbRouter::AttachToRouter - Ignoring DOM version: -1 obj
version: 0". Does anyone have any idea what this means? Is there any way
to figure out the problem? We are using Forte 3L3. Thanks in advance.

• Setting oracle apps appscontext (user/organization/responsibility) in ODI

Hi All - Is there anyway we can setup appscontext (used in oracle applications/ebs suite) (user id/organization id/responsibility) before executing any stored procedures from ODI. This can be achieved in BPEL. We can set these as properties for oracle apps adapter (in BPEL) which will inturn execute our stored procedures. How do we achieve this in ODI?
Thanks!

Hi,
I found this in my notes:
To set the ORG_ID (Business Group) in a SQL*Plus session, use the following anonymous PL/SQL block:
BEGIN
fnd_client_info.set_org_context('<ORG_ID>'); --ORG_ID for Business Group ID
END;
or even simpler:
exec dbms_application_info.set_client_info('<ORG_ID>'); --ORG_ID for Business Group ID
I remember using it in order to be able to query on some Views that don't display any record, as they are based on the Business Group you are logged to. Once I used the EXEC.... command in SQL*Plus, the view displayed the corresponding information.
Try researching if package DBMS_APPLICATION_INFO could be used to set the ORGANIZATION_ID (to identify the Organization or Plant). Note that ORGANIZATION_ID is different than ORG_ID (ORG_ID is used to identify the Business Group).
Hope this helps.
By the way, please reply back with what you find and tell us if it worked and how you used it.
Regards,
Ramon

• Automatic tester user gets disabled in ISE

We have ise1.2 working in our environment. For some reason the radius test user used for NAD device authentication gets disabled automatically. Though i couldnt get the frequency of it neither the timing of it. Any specific setting i am missing here to check or configure in NAD or in ISE?

Hi Manmohan,
In ISE there is an option which Specifies the number of times Cisco ISE records incorrect administrator passwords before locking the administrator out of Cisco ISE, and suspending or disabling account credentials.
Can you check if there is any such password policy enabled for your radius user, and that might be getting locked/disabled after certain number of wrong tries.

• CUA - Creating a test user with profile

Hi All,
I just set up the CUA in our newly installed solution manager which is the central system and another sandbox system with three clients as the child systems.
I referred to the follwoing for the setup:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/cc/50b43be7492354e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
One of the tests for checking the setup is to create a test user with profiles in the central system and distribute it to the child systems. I did the text comparision and saved the user; i still cannot see the user in the child systems.
I checked SCUL and BD87. SCUL shows me grey. BD87 do not show any IDOC that were transferred.
Could anyone help/direct me in fixing this.
Thanks
Shabna

Hi,
To make the test simpler I tried it again sending the test user to only one of the child systems. The RFCs between the systems are working fine. I checked /BD64, it shows the whole set up.
When I check /BD87 of the central system I see the following error:
"Could not find code page for receiveing system".
Diagnosis
For the logical destination XXXCLNTXXX, you want to determine the code page in which the data is sent with RFC. However, this is not currently possible, and the IDoc cannot yet be dispatched.
Procedure for System Administration
Possible causes are:
1. The entry no longer exists in the table of logical destinations.
2. The target system could not be accessed.
3. The logon language is not installed in the target system.
I can see the central system as well as the child systems in the logical systems table. And the RFC destination does note shown any errors in the connection as well as authorization test. What else do I check?
Thanks
Shabna

• Central User Administration

Hello,
i want to realize a central user administration between two different SAP Systems.
In an testing environment i realized it between two logical systems with different mandants in one SAP system.
Now it should work between two hosts. For example SAP1 192.168.150.1 and SAP2 192.168.150.2. What are the differences i have to consider?

Lets take two systems with SIDs: “SA1” and “SA2”.
1. Cerate logical system name SA1MNDT100 on SA1 identifying mandant 100 on SA1
2. Assign it to mandant 100 in system SA1
3. Then on SA2 you have to tell that there is system named SA1MNDT100 ready for communication, so you must create logical system name SA1MNDT100 in SA2 but you don’t assign it to any mandant (because from SA2 point of view it is a remote system)
4. Then on SA2 create the RFC Destination with exactly the same name as your logical system defined in step 1 SA1MNDT100 pointing to hostname or ip of SA1/mandant 100 (this links remote logical system name with remote SAP system SA1)
5. Then on SA2 create different system name SA2MNDT500 indentifying mandant 500 on SA2
6. Assign it to mandant 500 in system SA2
7. Then on SA1 you have to tell that there is system named SA2MNDT500 ready for communication, so you must create logical system name SA2MNDT500 in SA1 but you don’t assign it to any mandant (because from SA1 point of view it is a remote system)
8. On SA1 cereate the RFC Destination named SA2MNDT500 pointing to SA2/manadt 500.
Hope this clarifies your doubt.

• An alternative to the full 'XML Publisher Administrator' responsibility?

Hi. We use XML Publisher within the Oracle Applications E-Business Suite (Release 12).
We would like our users to have the ability to upload their modified rtf templates back to the XML Publisher interface. However, we don't really want to give them the full 'XML Publisher Administrator' responsibility. Has anyone found a way around this? Thanks, Joy.

Hi. Thanks for replying. We don't have XMLP Developer in the list of Oracle Applications responsibilities - only 'XML Publisher Administrator' and 'XML Gateway'. We don't use BI Publisher standalone. Any ideas how we get XMLP Developer to appear in the list in Oracle Apps? Thanks.
