  • Ebusiness suite and BI Publisher

    Hi,
We have oracle ebusiness suite which includes BI publisher server version 5.6.3 could someone tell me what is the roadmap for BI publisher as part of the Ebusiness suite?
The reason why I am asking I am aware of OBIEE that is a separate product and that included BI Publisher.
    Thanks,
    Mark

    hi,
Am I right in understanding that OBIEE is a standalone product, it can also OBIEE can be integrated with the Ebusiness suite and also the ebusiness suite has can have its own bi publisher tool(xml publisher) which is part of the ebusiness suite. I understand with discoverer and OBIEE the roadmap allow the possibility of both been use in parallel? What happens of I didn’t get obiee will BI Publisher in the Ebusiness suite still be developed.
    Thanks,

  • Invoking EBusiness Suite APIs from Oracle Data Integrator

    Hi,
I am using ODI as the data migration tool to load data from oracle legacy application to ebiz.
Is there any knowledge module available to call oracle Ebusiness APIs?
    Thanks in advance.
    -Santanu

    Thanks for your response.
In eBusiness we have either open interface table & concurrent program or API. IKM which you have referred those are used for open interface and concurrent program. How to handle APIs where there is no open interface table. For example AR_RECEIPT_API_PUB.CREATE_CASH which is an API and there is no open inetrface table for this.

  • EBiz suite and XMLP delivery manager integration - URGENT

The delivery manager that comes with XMLP is apparently quite powerful. How do I incorporate this with eBiz suite? I see a lot of sample Java code posted here but where will all this code go? Do I have to write a Java concurrent program? Please help. I was not able to find any clear documentation that will walk me through the steps.
    Thanks,
    Srikanth

    Hi
For now you are going to have to write a java concurrent program. this program will need to:
    1. Extract the appropriate data, this might be directly or through an exisiting concurrent program.
    2. Call TEmplateHelper API to apply the requested layout template to generate the requested output format
    3. Call the delivery manager APIs to deliver the generated document.
For tips on writing JCPs check metalink, there are a few notes there.
We are working with the conc manager team to provide an integrated solution but this will not be available until next year.

  • Hyperion Planning and eBusiness Suite ODI integration

    Hi,
I have to integrate eBusiness Suite and Hyperion Planning, mostly exporting data from eBusiness Suite to load into Hyperion Planning. I'm allready using eBusiness Suite connectors.
I'd like to know if there is some start point to understand eBS model besides http://etrm.oracle.com. I found that the technical reference is not of much help to understand where I can find the proper info that I need or what kind of info provides each column/table.
    Thanks!

Hi Pratik, thank you for your comment. Both links are very helpful. Although I think I wasn't precise enough on my initial post. Im trying to extract info from several modules of eBS (GL, PA, PO, INV, AP and others) to a single table and my approach for the extract is using one source set for each eBS module on ODI interface (with the corresponding tables from each module on each source set).
The main info I need on this approach is how to avoid exporting duplicate info, because I know that some info is present on several modules.
I hope I was clear on my explanation, do you have any advice on where can I get that info?. Thank you

  • Self service to eBusiness Suite with Apex?

Is it possible to build a selfservice application for Oracle eBusiness Suite General Ledger with APEX?
The solution should enable users to make journal entries/corrections without having to log in to the ebusiness suite and use the traditional journal entry screen in forms (it is non-frequent users).
They want to use single sign on and ebusiness user and security.
They want to enter an account combination and have the balance showed.
They want to enter entry lines and have the account combination validated before sending it to GL interface and import.
They want an easy development tool, not so "consulting-heavy"
Is this possible with APEX? Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.
    /Susanne

Obsolutely possible. You can build the page and dump the records to GL interface table and call the GL import program to process it.
I have done something similar to process Shipping Transactions.

  • Problem installing EMC Documentum connector

    Hi!
I have problem with installing connector LCES to EMC Documentum. I start the configuration manager, on product page select EMC Documentum checkbox and continue the installation as usual. The screen with instructions about installing EMC connecton appears. According to pdf I put line of classpaths to jboss/bin/adobe-component-ext.properties.
After installation finish, I go to AdminUI to setup EMC connector parameters, but NO such screen is present. I don't see some posibility to setup EMC Documentum connector. I cannot also start the component, because exception is thrown.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thank for any help.
    --- Jaroslav

    Hi Varun,
Looking at the description of the issue you are facing, it seems that you have not configured LiverCycle Connector for EMC Documentum on your LiveCycle set-up. To use the connector component to integrate EMC Documentum with LiveCycle, first you have to configure this component. For this configuration, we need to know the versions of both the products you are using at your end, i.e. LiveCycle version and EMC Documentum version.
Assuming that you are using LiveCycle ES2 i.e. version 9.0, here are provided some documentation links which will help you to configure Connector for EMC Documentum. With 9.0 version, LiveCycle supports 6.0/6.5 version of EMC Documentum reposiotory.
You can refer to 'Install and Configure'  documents in 'Installing and Upgrading' section on following link:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/lc_doclist.html
Please choose document according to the appserver you are using.
In this document you have to refer to section: "Post Deployment Activities" and to follow the steps provided under heading:
"Configuring the Connector for EMC Documentum service"
This section will help you to configure the component.
For help regarding fields on adminUi settings page, you can refer to administration console help, whose link is provided on top right hand corner of the web page.
Try this steps and let us know if you face further issue in that.
    Best Regards,
    -Abhijeet.

  • Need some history of the eBusiness Suite

I am presenting the eBusiness Suite and I need to include some history of the product(s). What would help is a rough idea of dates and new features for each version since 10.x.
If you know where I can find this please respond.
    Thanks

The readme for the 11.5.9 maintenance pack is the best place to start.
We were on 11.5.7, there were 13 pre-requisite patches.
We also carried out an upgrade to 9iR2 RDBMS, Jinititaor 1.3.1.9 & iAS 1.0.2.2.2.
11.5.9 is quite old, you will probably want to install 11.5.9.2 & other more recent Mini Packs patches and bug fixes. In our case about 30 additional patches.
You will need to run the process a few times in order to finialise the list of patches and to get some timing data.

  • Ebusiness suite integration with ADF

    HI there xperts!
I am having a lot of trouble trying to decipher the multitude of information around for integrating Jdeveloper ADF applications with ebusiness 12.1.3
Essentially, I have created a number of view pages, in my application but now need to call some API's to add transactional capabilities.
My undertstanding at this time, is to actually expose web services and call those in ADF using web service data controls.
I have been able to go to the integration repository and deploy the APIs. It is at this point I get stuck. Do I have to use BPEL / Oracle Service BUS?
Or can I now access these exposed services directly from ADF. If so, how? I can see addresses specific to our environment in the WSDL file, however, these are invalid when I try to create a web service data control.
My second question, when deploying to a client site, do these details need to be updated each time (ie, there will be specific addresses for each environment?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Integrating Oracle eBusiness Suite with banking services using Oracle SOA

    Hi ,
I am working on a project for integrating Oracle eBusiness Suite with banking services using Oracle SOA. We have implemented Oracle SOA and trying to call bank's services using SOA.
The bank has provided its web services over http which accepts XML data as string through HTTPS post invocation and provides response accordingly in string XML Data.
For each service, specific format of request and response message has been provided.
I am trying to call their web services using HTTP binding adapter.
I would like to know whether my approach of calling bank's web service using HTTP binding adapter is correct or not.
Looking ahead for your valuable insight and advice.
    Thanks

  • EBusiness Suite Integration Best Practice

I'm just starting an integration project with eBusiness Suite. We are using SOA Suite for the majority of the intergration points but I have a question over large flat files, e.g. 100MB+. SOA suite doesn't handle these too well as you need to do a lot of tuning and need big hardware.
Traditioanlly we used to use unix scripts and dataloader but this seems so old school, therefore I'm looking for a solution that brings it into this century.
    Any ideas are appreciated.

For large datafiles sql*loader is still the tool of choice. The only variation that You may find nowdays is the use of external tables.

  • Oracle EBusiness suite professions tasks and duties

    Hello everybody
I inquire about something regarding Oracle EBusiness suite professions tasks and duties. I've tasked by my manager with writing a report lists the main tasks and key responsibilities for each of the following technical professions within Oracle E Business Environment:
    1)-Apps DBA.
    2)-Apps Technical Consultant (Apps Developer)
    3)-Apps Business Consultant.
I've contacted Oracle Support recently via opening SR .But, They informed me that they don’t provide such information and therefore, they suggest me weather to contact Oracle Consulting to post here.
    I would appreciate your help.
    Sami

I don't see how you'd be able to integrate OAM with EBS unless you have the oSSO (assuming of course that you're not on the bleeding edge, per 975182.1).
We are running the same configuration and have setup the redirects in OAM policy. We setup specific context roots for each application, then use OAM policy to redirect. (for example, http://iwa-server/ebs redirects to https://ebs-server)
Unique authorization rule for each redirect, then a unique "policy" on the "Policies" tab for each redirect. Each Policy maps to the respective Authorization Rule.

  • EBusiness Suite User "Auto-provisioning" and  "Self-Request" Problem

I have two types of OIM User, Staff and Contingent
    Staff (Role = Full-Time)
Contingent (Role = Contractor / Role = Consultant)
    Resource Object: eBusiness Suite User
    Here's my RO configuration:
    Auto Pre-populate: true
    Allow Multiple: true
    Self Request Allowed: true
    Allow All: true
    Auto-Launch: true
EBS Connector, by default has two forms:
    UD_EBS_UO: Object Form
    UD_EBS_USER: Process Form
I have requirement which will auto-provision eBusiness Suite User resource to Staff users.
Originally, UD_EBS_OU is the table name used by the RO. For auto-provisioning to work, I have implemented it this way:
First, I have defined a User Group for Staff and assign an Access Policy to it (for users with Role == Full-Time).
Then, I have detached Object Form UD_EBS_UO from the RO. This way, when Staff user is created in OIM, it is automatically provisioned with eBusiness Suite User, though it won't have a Resource Form, only a Process Form. Process Form fields are automatically pre-populated with values (via my Pre-populate adapters).
Now my problem is during Self-Request. Contingent user doesn't get auto-provisioned with EBS RO, but he can self-request for it. Problem is, since I detached the Object Form from the RO, user is not seeing any form during request. And I have a requirement that approver of the request should also be able to view/modify the details of the request form. But that is not possible now that Object Form does not exist for this RO.
Is it possible that Self-Request and Auto-Provisioning works both ways under the same Resource Object? How do I configure that? Appreciate your quick response and help. :)
    Edited by: user10202544 on Feb 10, 2010 3:27 AM

Yes I have set permissions to all users for the Object Form.
It is required for me to have both Self Request and Auto-provisioning work for eBusiness Suite RO.
During approval, however, the approver needs to see the Object Form (where he can view/modify its values before approving it). That's impossible for me since I detached the Object Form from the Resource Object. I need do to this for auto-provisioning to work.
It seems that it doesn't work both ways. Any other suggestions?
